AWESOME professor-- really wants you to have fun in her class....Doesn't assign a lot of reading, and gives study guides for tests!! I would recommend taking her courses
Prof Rose is awesome..she cares about each student and wants to make sure everyone understands. She Tells you what to study for a test.never giving you more than you need to know or less than you need to know I highly recommend Mrs. Rose YOU WILL LOVE HER!
She is the best professor I have ever had. No one can make art history more intersting then she can.. SO great!
Professor Rose is a very educated women, making her also very credible. She is intelligent and knows her information. Her tests are fair. Not to mention she is kind and funny. I found these qualities to be true to her, in her art history class and her speech class.
Interesting class and a very nice lady! Tells you what is on all tests, no surprises. Fair on grading the papers she requires. Does count attendance. Likes and knows her subject. I would recommend her and plan on taking more classes taught by her.
Very personable, doesn't ask too much from students and is easy to reach outside of class.
best...you must take one of her classes before leaving hacc
GREAT!!! Very personalbe, you have to study for test but if you do...you will be sure to get an A. At the end of the semester I had a 104% in her class. Make sure you take her classes. I highly recommend her.
Professor Rose is excellent. She makes class fun and the work load is not hard. If you study you will get an A on test. I highly recommend her and if I had to I would take her again. Great Professor.
great class. i definately recommend it. she makes the class interesting by telling lots of stories. does rely on vocabulary but she makes it easy to remember. study the vocab and pay attention in class and you will definately get an A. shes a great teacher!
I thought she was a really great teacher. She made Art History very enjoyable, and was easy to understand.
Mrs. Rose is EXCELLENT!! I'd reccommend her to anybody. It is possible to ace her class, but you do have to work for it. She is fun, outgoing, easy to talk to and is willing to answer any questions. She'll help you in every possible way.
I took World Mythology online and I think Cindy did a great job teaching online. She encourages creative projects. Tests are all essay. Discussion posts are required. She uses a mix of textbook readings and websites. She also adds websites to enhance understanding of myths (e.i pictures of actual ruins, etc.) I enjoyed her class a lot.
This is the best teacher @ HACC- will not ever make you study for a test, innnnnhh
Required to take this as Core A and ended up enjoying it alot! It's a class I don't mind going to. Her stories are amazing, and I don't think I could ever get sick of them. Very flexable and understands when you have problems.
If you do the work you can't fail. You will learn so much from her if you pay attention.

I love Cindy!!! She is the best professor I have ever had. I recommend any and everyone taking one of her classes. I will definitely be taking another class with her next spring. If you are lucky enough to have the chance to take one of Cindy's classes, then do it. She is the best!!!!!!!
Cindy is great! Super helpful, understanding and all around great teacher. I can't wait to take another class with her next semester.
Cindy is a very interesting and knowledgable teacher. I really enjoyed the class!! Easy to get good grade if you pay attention and take notes. Cant wait to take another class with her!!!
The tests could not have been easier in this class. The work was a piece of cake. Teacher a bit spacey from what I can remember, but not to worry even if you don't like what this class is about you can get an easy grade.
LOVED this class! She is my favourite teacher at HACC, and I'm currently taking my fifth class with her. Attend class, take notes, study what is on the guides, and you can't go wrong!
Awesome person/teacher. Will do what I can to have her again. She loves her job and KNOWS SUBJECT! Very fair with papers, but strict in class (which is fair). I don't see how ANYONE can fail her class. She tells you exactly what to study for tests. Don't have unrealistic expectations and you'll do well. I can't say enough good about her. Hi Cindy!
I enjoyed her classes very much. The topics are highly interesting. She lets her liberal views be known, however-don't care for that. She assigns a bit too much work for an intro class.
I took her online World Mythology class this summer and it was a great experience. She mixes it up with textbook and website readings. Her three major assignments were enjoyable and her test were short essay questions in nature. Fun, enjoyable and I learned something! Nicely done Prof. Rose!

Excellent professor. Interesting, fun and unconventional class. She's passionate & truly helpful to her students. Highly recommended.
Cindy rose was the absolute best teacher I've ever had at hacc. She is the nicest lady and will help you out in any situation. Her classes are fun and the projects are very easy. If you do the work, you'll pass even if its not great. I recomend her for anyone!!!
CINDY ROSE ROCKS. she is such a fun teacher, i look forward to her class every day. Hands out study guides for the test that have the exact same answers. study it, and you will get an automatic grade. take any of her classes!
Great professor! Course work varies from class to class, but she does give you exactly what is going to be covered on each test. She knows her material and is very interesting. If you can't be open minded, some of her classes are not for you. She doesn't tolerate people being downers either :3. GO CINDY 8D
Cindy is very nice and helpful to students who ask. However, I found her to be almost too easy at times and the definitions she gave barely skimmed the info. Easy, but not challenging. Lots of papers.
What an awesome teacher... She gives study guides giving you EXACTLY what will be on the test... You have to write 2 papers, take 4 quizzes, 4 tests, and give an oral presentation. She's makes getting an A as easy as she can without practically giving you all the answers.. Would highly recommend!
She is amazing! She's very helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic. She is an easy grader if you follow the instructions. She gives you a study guide for the test and if you study hard, you will get an A. I recommend her! She was one of my favorite professors.
Had Prof. Rose all 4 semesters at HACC: Theatre, Myth., Hum. 101, Art Hist 1300+. Really passionate about the humanities, english, teaching, and students--and it shows. One of few teachers that gave substantial feedback on writing assignments. Usually incorporated a creative assignment into ea. cirriculum. Has an extensive collection of slides.
I had Prof. Rose for all 4 semesters at HACC: theatre, myth., hum. 101, & art hist 1300+. She's loves the humanities, English, and teaching--and it shows. One of few professors to provide substanial feedback on writing assignments. Usually incorporates a creative assignment into ea. cirriculum. Has an extensive (and global) collection of slides.
If you are looking for an easy A, take this class online, but don't expect to get much out of it. You don't need to read the book to do well. Almost no teacher comments on discussion boards. Very helpful on tests. Lets you know exactly what to study. 3 projects, two tests. Good choice if you need the credits.
She is an amazing professor! Without a doubt my favorite teacher at HACC. She gives you everything you need to know for the tests and if you study the guides its an easy A. She also gives many chances to receive extra credit! Her classes are fun and attendance counts toward your grade.
She loves what she teaches. You can tell. Her passion and knowledge made the class to easy to engage in. Listening to her lecture, I was interested and definitely not bored. She's also funny and shows her personality in class. I'd definitely recommend.
She is great!! Easy class, but really informative. She makes learning fun! Highly recommend her!
6 years later, this teacher was still my favorite and had the most enjoyable class I've ever taken.
World Mythology, virtual campus. As much reading and writing as an English class, but it is what it is. Very interesting and the professor was encouraging with input and web resources. All test questions were essay style so you must comprehend to write well. Great feedback on assignments. Recommended.
Enthusiastic about teaching and makes the information and assignments fun! Very helpful, easy to contact, and responds almost immediately. Information for the exams/assignments is very clear so you should have no trouble passing as long as you keep up with the work.
What a wonderful professor! The chapters were rather long. But her syllabus is clear, as are her deadlines. She provides ample feedback; she will commend and she will suggest what you need to change as well. If you want an A, you will work for it, but it will be worth the effort. I highly recommend this professor.
World mythology.. Lots of reading. Discussion posts are fun and interesting. Assignments given at beginning of semester, plenty of time to think about and complete. Would be nice to have view some samples of projects, but I never asked so I can't fault prof. for that. Grading took some time.... Instructor was friendly. Nice online format.
Lots of reading, discussion questions, but they are interesting. Projects are actually fun to do as well. Only bad thing is with questions she was not easily accessible. It took her days to respond, and grades took a while to be posted. Other than that, easy course and very interesting.
She loves teaching and is passionate about theatre. We read six plays and wrote short essays on two of them. We were required to see two plays and write reviews for them. There was a design project and short soliloquy. This class is an easy A if you apply yourself and use her study guides. She's an English teacher and expects college level work.
She is so passionate about teaching and loves to be involved with her students. She dislikes people sleeping/texting in her class so make sure you can respect that. Her kind heart and sweet nature makes the class enjoyable to be in. If humanities is your major or just a class that is needed, she is the best teacher to have for humanities courses.
Prof Rose is awesome! Very nice and friendly. She loves what she does and it shows. If you pay attention in class and do your assignments, you'll be good! She expects you to show to class, so don't skip. You definitely will need your textbook.
I have been to three different schools since attending HACC, and Prof. Rose is still the best prof. I've had. Very informative and engaging in her lectures. Do the reading assignments and you'll do really well in her class.
Loved the class! I learned a lot from the course. As any online class, there are discussions and feedbacks required but they are easy. Have to do essays but they are fun. her "sample of tests" are the actual test questions so you can think of the answers in advance, this makes the tests easier to do as you only have a short time to them. Great prof
Professor Rose is an encouraging teacher who is clearly passionate about what she does. In online World Mythology she exposes students to a variety of myths through textbook readings and online sources (provided to students in her class notes each week). Class assignments are detailed but not difficult. Highly recommended for Humanities 201!
Wonderful professor, really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Show up to class, bring your book, take notes, and definitely do not text in class!!! Occasional textbook readings, three 3-5 page papers, and three exams. Very clear on what she wants to see in papers and tells you EXACTLY what will be on the exams.
Really a great teacher. She is very patient with you about learning the material but she expects you to put in effort as well. She is not tolerant of cell phones or using laptops to surf during class.
I really liked the subject matter. Professor Rose asks thought provoking questions, however, she does not participate enough in the online discussions. She posts the initial questions and that is all. I wish there had be more feedback. Tests are essay and easy. Three projects, all pretty easy and discussion participation also add to grade.
Loved this class. Loved this Professor. Everything is easily laid out for you. Clear instructions and due dates. Have to do the reading, but reading is interesting. Professor gives good feedback. Very interesting topics.
Professor Rose was a great teacher. As long as you participated and read, you would get a decent grade in the class. Plus she makes it fun with the course material. But this may be a bias in World Mythology as a whole. Really enjoyed this class.
Professor Rose is an amazing teacher. She's funny, kind, and she tries to get to know you on a personal level, which many professors don't. There are many extra credit opportunities on the test, and she basically gives you the answers to the test. You just have to pay attention and show up to class. She has a lot of rules, which are annoying.
In my opinion, I wouldn't choose her to be my professor ever again. She's way too sensitive. She'll get angry if you're not smiling or talking. She has way too many rules and they are ridiculous. One good thing is that she basically gives you the answers to the test. That's the only good thing about her.
Excellent, fair instructor. Knows her subject and clearly enjoys teaching. 3 exams and 3 papers.
Excellent film history class and excellent instructor! She makes class so interesting and fun. Have taken Cindy for other classes too.... best instructor at HACC!
Art of Cinema class. Really interesting variety of films. Professor Rose is great. We kept a film journal on the films that we watched in class. Grades are fair and workload is average. I took her for a humanities class this semester and I loved that class too.
I can understand how some may not appreciate her personality, but I don't know how anybody could honestly rate her as a 1 -- that's simply not the case. She's very knowledgeable, engaging, and pleasant. The 3 papers in her class are easy, just make sure you properly cite. The tests are lengthy, but if you take notes and study, they're a cake-walk.
This clas was lots of fun. Class was interactive and Professor Rose always wanted to hear our opinions. We read interesting plays and projects were creative. I would definitely recommend her. I will definitely be taking a class from her again.
Prof. Rose is an overall good teacher. You can tell that she actually cares that you learn something rather than just recite something for a test. Sometimes she can seem a little nagging, she usually has a good attitude in class. Her tests and papers are manageable because of how much information you get from class time. Overall a good professor.
Loved this class! I never took a theater class before and Prof Rose made it so interesting. Tests and projects were average workload. We studied interesting plays and you can tell she loves the topic. Great teacher. I will be taking again.
HUM 101 was a required class for me and I am so glad I took Professor Rose. She has a background in a variety of arts and this made the lectures so interesting! The assignments were interesting too and her grading was fair. I will be taking her for another class in the fall. You will enjoy this class. She is fair and understanding.
Loved this architecture class. We studied buildings from around the world and their history. We also studied why people build the way they do. Interesting assignments and lectures. Now when I look at buildings I have a much better understanding of their history. I highly recommend this instructor.
She is a very nice professor. She'll tell you exactly what is on each test (no study guides, that's why you'll need to take notes). Art history might not be a huge interest to you, but Professor Rose tries her best to make the class interesting.
Great film class! Interesting lectures on film history. Professor is very fair with grading. Loved watching the films. I highly recommend taking Cindy Rose.
This is a very interesting course on the Humanities. We studied many art forms and Cindy really knows her stuff! My favorite teacher at HACC. . Take this course from her.
Took this course as my humanities elective. I loved the course! I could choose my paper topics and I learned so much about world myth. Interesting and fair Professor!
She's pretty good. I like her. The only issue with her that I have is, it's December and she cancelled the final because she still hasn't graded our second exam from mid-October. If that's something that you're cool with, then go for it. Not mad at her, I'd just like for my grades to be more current.
I am a Humanities major and have taken Prof Rose for 3 classes at Lancaster Campus. She is the best professor I have had which is why I have taken her classes several times. She gives very clear instructions and study guides and really wants her students to succeed. I have learned so much in her classes!
So I took this course thinking that we would only talk about ancient myths. I didn't know how many modern myths started in ancient times. I really liked that I could pick my topics for my 3 assignments and I decided to write my papers on different topics in Norse myth. I even wrote my last discussion on Loki. I liked the class and the teacher.
Weekly discussions, 3 papers that you can submit in any order as long as they are turned in by the due dates throughout the semester. Online exams with study guides before hand - the study guide is an exact duplicate of the actual exam. Only complaint is that its finals week and she still hasnt posted grades for our second exam or second paper.
Two discussion posts required per week, she gives a study guide that exactly matches the exam before each one, and 3 papers that are due in any order. She is a very lenient grader. Offers up to 15 points of extra credit during the last week of class. As long as you respond to the DPs with at least a short paragraph you will get a 100 each week.
Professor Rose is very organized and she gives useful feedback on papers. Good study guides and she gives extra credit points if we use the library databases. She has helped me write better papers. Lots of great images of artwork in the course and video segments too. I have taken her for 2 classes and I have learned so much. Take her if you can.
There is A LOT for reading this class. She does offer extra credit at the end though. She is an easy grader. There are a couple of papers and only two tests, but they are pretty easy. She responds to emails pretty fast and is definitely willing to help. Plus you don't have to respond to other people's discussion posts.
Professor is extremely strict. You are required to take 3 tests which she tells you exactly what is going to be on the text. You have to read 6 plays, write 3 essays, present a soliloquy and create a design project. Class is ridiculously over melted. You have to be present every class otherwise she will fail you. The book is huge and expensive!
Love this class! We are using a digital textbook so we don't have to carry a heavy art book around. Professor Rose is very helpful and covers material thoroughly that will be on exams. The classes are fun and the powerpoints she uses in addition to the book add a lot to the lectures. I will be taking another art class from her in the spring.
I took this class online because I was not able to take the professor's course on campus at Lancaster. It was great! There is structure but also flexibility in assignment topics. studied myths from around the world and I learned so much about myth in today's world too. The work is not difficult and I learned a lot about world cultures and myths
I loved this class with Prof Rose. I took it last year and have been going to see plays ever since whenever I can. Read 5 plays and worked through a sixth play together in class. Projects and papers were not hard and I was able to design a set design. Didn't think I would like drama so much, but I do! Take this class if you can
Took this class this summer and loved it. Assignments were clear and Prof Rose got back to emails quickly
This class was remote and we met on zoom twice a week. Prof Rose's course was very organized and she made the lectures interesting. Love the way she set up our Brightspace class. She is fair and always listens and shows that she cares about how we are doing. I learned alot about the arts... neat course! I am going to take her myth class.
She's a good professor, gets back to emails very timely. I had trouble following her homework schedule because she does it different than all the other professors I took that semester, but it's all clearly lined out and it was my fault. A lot of info is learned in the class, you will have to read. Overall good experience.
The course was boring and organized. Little to no feedback for papers and weekly discussions. Be sure to read project descriptions very carefully and in their entirety. Weekly discussion must follow what the textbook says. If you use any outside research from trusted sources in your discussion, it is unacceptable. Tests are timed and open-ended.
This class focuses on Greek and Roman myths. I was able to choose from a variety of questions to respond to weekly. One paper and one project required. Reading is necessary. Enjoyed the project assignment and the blend of ancient myths with lit and arts. Will take again for World Myth. Excellent prof!
She knows a lot and you will need to read the textbook. We have three papers research, original myth and mini creative project. She can be a semi tough grader but she really does care a lot about her students and the material she teaches. So if you want someone passionate, knowledgeable, who will push you. She all that and more.
Prof Rose's class is average. Go over the coursework during the week then write a discussion post for the weekend homework. Tests are all short essay questions, but she gives you the study guide which is a huge plus. (Make sure test answers are very detailed). Worst thing is that she takes forever to grade work.
She is so amazing. She cares about every student and offers flexibility if you have something going on. She gives great lectures and you can tell she cares about what she's teaching. She requires 1 discussion post a week and she gives the test questions ahead of time. She is one of my favorite professors! Take one of her classes if you can!
I took her for World mythology and classical mythology. She is extremely knowledgeable and picks out clear and precise documentaries and lectures for the classes. If you struggle with the reading try breaking down what happens into steps that can help a lot in the beginning. She lets you go free with your ideas as long as the message is clear.
Prof Rose introduced me to so much, and I liked her approach to the information. We had differnt units for example, architecture, theater, and painting. It was so interesting to see how each type of art changed thru the centuries. She has so much knowledge and can really teach what she knows. She wants us to succeed. I will be taking her again!
Mrs. Rose is a great professor! The work is easy, and there is only homework about once a week, besides the few bigger projects. She is very nice and I can tell she really wants us to succeed and she cares about all her students. She is one of my favorite professors.
took it as an arts and humanities elective, class was relatively easy.
She clearly lays out exactly what she wants from you just its SO much reading but generally you can get away with reading one of the stories.
Prof Rose's HUM101 class was engaging and informative. She covered a wide range of art forms and made the material interesting. Using unstuck ai and the textbook helped me succeed in this manageable course.
Pleasant and a fair grader. The assignments are few; most of the work is just a lot of reading, but it's varied with presentations, videos, and pdfs so it's not terribly boring. She seems passionate about what she does and tends to give choices for assignments, even discussions, so you can pick what you want to talk about.
She is fantastic. I had 3 credits to spare to graduate and I am a business major. i have always loved humanities and history and taking HUM202 was an amazing choice. The class was on mythology which was so fascinating to learn about in-depth and I recommend this class and Professor Rose for anyone that is interested and unsure in taking it.
I attended all of her classes, and honestly, she came off as pretty rude and not very understanding. The class itself is fairly easy, but you do have to study and stay on top of her lectures to do well on the tests. Definitely buy the textbook
I truly enjoyed World Mythology and thought her class was well organized. Biggest complaint: I have no idea what my grade is because half the points for the class arent graded yet and class ends in 11 days. It is really frustrating that we are expected to complete assignments on time but grades are not returned in a timely manner.
