Almost everything you need to know will be discussed in lecture so go to class. Lectures were interesting, I never felt bored. Tells you what info will be on the tests. Very energetic, nice and helpful with practical experience in the world of politics and will answer any questions you may have. Cares about the subject and his students success.

Amazing professor. Though he is new to the campus, he is definitely not new to teaching. Humble man, yet passionate about politics & knows what he is talking about. Most of what you are tested on are on his lectures. Easy if you attend class every day. Will hint at what is on the test. Awesome professor. You'll agree.

Professor is very helpful, and is a good teacher. He knows hows to keep his lectures interesting most of the time. The good think is that more than 70% of his tests and quizzes are based of lecture, and he'll hint them out. Also, there are NO study guides for the class. His tests are open notes, but his midterms arent. Easy A.

I went into class not knowing the slightest thing about politics and finished knowing the subject inside out. He is responsive and helpful, more so than most professors I have come across. If you have to take this course this is the guy to take it from. His tests are not tricky, his homework isn't too hard either. Most importantly his passion for this subject makes it fun and makes you want to pay attention and participate, and I normally would stay quiet in the back. I was nervous about taking a higher level political science class, but that was all washed away upon entering Professor V's class. We had a research paper and he walked us through the whole paper, even giving us a hard-copy template. Best teach I've ever had! Very clear and concise about information and consistently helpful.

I knew a lot about American politics before this class but this class let me see the workings of other nations and how some systems could actually work better here rather than what we already have. Polsc 2 with Professor V was amazing; he's super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about politics. In this class, you read a chapter per week, write about it, and also write a response to a question and post these on etudes.There's also a term paper that's worth 200 pts. I've never enjoyed any political classes in high school, but Professor V made it interesting and exciting. You can truly see the enthusiasm and passion he has when it comes to teaching. This class is easy. Most of the assignments are done online on Etudes, specifically MPSLs, research briefs, and the current event. Even the unit exams are done online; the time limit is usually one hour long. As long as you study the jeopardy ppts he provides and lecture notes beforehand, then you're good to go. He is very enthusiastic and likable.

I found this class very easy and simple. Homework is mainly done online using Etudes and grading is simple. His lectures are filled with enthusiasm unlike most professors with a monotone voice. I would take his class again and would highly recommend his class to anyone.

I LOVE that he doesn't give us big papers but research briefs. It's essentially a few paragraphs on 4 questions online! All quizzes except the final is online. My major is CSApplied Math. I had to take this class, I do not like politics at all. This professor is amazing. If he can turn a Math major to like Pol. Sci. then he does a great job in my opinion. Cirian is ALWAYS there for his students. There's four online tests, quizzes directly from online homework, and easy participation points. The lectures are actually really interesting, and he has a lot of connections if you're looking to further your political agenda. Everything is online except the final.

I am always excited to learn and go to his class because he makes it exciting to learn about politics (which I never thought I would ever like). I honestly have learned so much about American History than I ever did in other classes which amazes me. I highly recommend to take him.

Professor V is THE best teacher on campus. I had to retake him because of personal reasons, but he doesn't hold that against you and REALLY wants you to succeed. What can i say about Professor V, he's a nice enough guy and funny, he's also very passionate about his teaching which are all good things. The downfall is that he tends to go a little long on current events and his assignments are not laid out clearly so it made it hard to stay on top of the assignments. I think maybe overtime he will get better.

Mr. V is literally the person to go to to awaken your inner politician. I took his IPE class and it was eye opening and an amazingly sophisticated class with not that much home work but fun Finals and essays. Tests are in class for IPE and so is the Final was an awesome project to work on. Hes very caring and can visit him in his office

Absolutely amazing professor! Very experienced and knowledgeable in political science as he is a politician himself. Attendance is a must so that important information is not missed that could appear on tests. This was not a problem for me at all because his lectures were so enjoyable. So funny and open to any discussion. Highly recommend!!

I loved my semester with Professor V! He really enjoys teaching and wants his students to learn, in hopes to get them inspired and into the world of politics more proactively. Only complaint is that everything was online, besides lectures(three different websites for one class!). If you need polisci 1A take it with him, you'll be glad you learned.

He's so passionate about this subject & gives lectures that will interest you. He cares about his students and wants everyone to learn something from his class. Homework was given at least once a week, mostly online or etudes. He will always give you a heads up of what to do for the week so you'll constantly be reminded to stay on track.

Prof. V is the best educator i've encountered in my time at delta and we are lucky he teaches so many classes. This is my second semester with prof. V and the grading, coursework, writing, and lectures are all consistent and clear. There is a lot of work, but it pays off at the end of the semester when you earn an A despite bad exam grades.

Prof. V is great!!!! His lectures are interesting and its a hybrid class so 95% of the work is due online! He gives like a 3-4 window to take your tests so you can easily accommodate a busy schedule!

He's a great professor no doubt. He lectures a lot and all his assignments are online. Remembering to do the online assignments was difficult because I am very old school. I learned the material that was needed but just was not able to complete the online portion of the class.

Prof V will make you work for your grade, lots of small assignments involved, he does send out weekly emails as a reminder of what is due and the fact that it's a hybrid class you should be on top of your game. Be ready to read the textbook, and some documents and show up to class bc he has a sign-in sheet and will drop you if you don't show up.

Heavily lecture based class. Overall the most respected professor I've ever had. This class was hybrid in class lectures and online homework/tests. None of the work was difficult and the tests were pretty easy as long as you go to class and review the material.

He is a great person and truly cares about his students and their political learning environment. He teaches as objectively as he can which is pretty well. I don't like politics, but I liked the class. Plus, it was super easy: 4 simple research briefs, 4 tests, a final, and a few other assignments (mostly answers could be found on the internet).

He did get off topic in class sometimes which was frustrating but over all his work was easy, the tests were all on Canvas, he was always willing to help during his office hour. Villavicencio is by far the best teacher I have ever had. While he does make you work for your grade, he really helps you along the way and you should have no excuse. Very well versed in his subject, he is a brilliant and caring guy. Polisci 2 is by far his hardest class, but is easy to manage. Group projects are a thing so beware.

There is a lot of assignments and a good amount of reading but it prepares you to transfer!! The 10 page essay is very easy, you are going to wish he allowed you to have more pages. Overall, I loved the class and learned so much about political science. The professor is amazing and all his life lessons are really inspirational. However, the class was tough for me personally. Dont let the 10 page paper scare you. He did walks you through it step by step while helping you learn along the way. He genuinely cares about ALL of his students. The man is far over qualified for teaching at Delta. There are quizzes, 10 page paper, and a final. He is understanding and among the best professors at Delta. Highly recommend.

Prof. Cirian Villavicencio gives really good lectures, and some lectures are funny. To pass this class, you will need to participate, listen to lectures, and do well on quizzes and exams. Due to COVID-19, we transitioned to an online class after a couple weeks in the semester, so, exams and quizzes were easier to do than in a face-to-face class.

This course is one that you will learn a lot and grow. This is one that will push your boundaries and prepare you to transfer. There is a lot of writing assignments and a research paper in the class. It will be a lot of work, but if you do everything on time and do not procrastinate, you will be fine. The Professor is also always willing to help.

Professor Villavicencio is a great teacher! Although his lectures can be long, if you pay attention to them and take good notes, you will do well on tests. Unit tests are open note. If you thoroughly read the books and do everything he asks you to do then you will do well in his class. He also gives several opportunities for extra credit.

I loved this Proffesor. Forsure my easiest class this semester. Weekly homework consisted of smart books that were fairly easy. We also did a few exams which were mostly on Quizlet. He also is good at explaining the way he wants assignments set up. He grades fairly easily as well I recomendable taking him. I definitely would take him again!

this class has a decent workload but its manageable. study for unit exams with the provided study guides and the lecture notes. not an easy A, but more like an easy B if you do the assignments and study for the exams. very organized professor and he also provides extra credit. he gives you everything you need, all you need to do is use them.

You will not fail with this professor. I took him in Spring 2020 when we transitioned from in person to online during the pandemic. I had a serious family emergency during this time and he was very supportive. As long as you communicate with him, he will help you. Also very engaging lectures! He makes learning enjoyable.

Prof V is a good instructor and has great passion for his field of work. He provides clear instructions and substantive material. He will grade fairly, so you will not do well unless you actually pay attention. My only criticism is that he is still using the same lecture videos that he made in 2020. There are outdated announcements in them.

Highly recommend this class! The class was taught in person but I really enjoyed Dr.V's lectures and learned a lot about myself and the world we live in. He is a great person and professor. There are assignments due every Sunday but not difficult at all. You will need to prepare for three big exams and one final report in the semester!

One thing I can say as a warning: so much reading and listening. This is where I began using the 1.5 speed + captions trick to take notes. You will fall behind incredibly quick if you put off a reading. He gives a well structured schedule and grading rubric at the start of the class. He clearly enjoys what he does, which makes his class fun.

My high school had a very bad government teacher, so I essentially took this class to make up for that. He is really good at what he does. His lectures are very informational and help you to actually understand the topics. He assigns three textbooks, so do not fall behind on reading. A lot of work, but I actually understand government processes

His exams contained material that you learn from both assignment and lecture. Overall, a very good professor whom I'd recommend to POLSC majors.

Prof. V made me want to major in Political Science. You can tell he enjoys what he does by teaching students and encouraging others to be civically engaged and let our voices be heard. It's the class I never felt bored at, I was always ready to participate and he doesn't pressure students to answer either. Reliable and a great professor.

Dr. V is truly something else. He's clearly passionate about what he does, and he encourages students in class! He gives great lectures that simply put, I don't get bored of. He's a really easy grader, but ultimately, you will do well in his class if you pay attention, put in the work, and most importantly, communicate with him outside of class.

Was a student in Spring '22. No regrets. Inspirational professor whose clearly passionate about his job and this energy translates itself over to his lectures. It was my first year at Delta and Dr. V was the first professor I've had and he has given me a great experience. He clearly enjoys the stuff he does and shows that he cares for his students. There is a lot of reading in the class but he does a great job answering any questions you have.

He is very organized and is passionate about what he does. He is very informative and knows how to lecture and is always trying to answer questions if students are confused or stuck. I would definitely take again because I missed some class sessions and still passed. It's really about paying attention and good notes, and do good on test.

1st year. The lesson consists of the professor having a projector showing the slides while he goes over the lecture. A bit of note writing but he empathizes + gives out hints for the exams. In the first few minutes of class, he goes over current event news that is really informative. Would highly recommend but watch the lecture videos too.

Professor Villavicencio is very passionate about his work and cares about his students. Be sure to keep up with the readings and lectures so that you can do well on the exams. Something else that helped me on exams was the exam preparation folders in the modules. Highly recommend!

Please keep a check of the modules! there is an assignment that you have to do in the first few weeks according to your last name but its due near the end sems , i lost 10 marks because of late submission . Dr. V is a great guy. He is very flexible AS LONG AS YOU REACH OUT ahead of time. His lectures are also great and his "hint hints" are 100% ALWAYS on the exams so make sure you're paying attention. He is not an intimidating professor but super understanding. I highly suggest taking an in person class with him if possible.

Great professor! Makes content easy to digest although lectures are pretty long each week. The only downside worth mentioning is that his TA's grade very very hard. It is disappointing spending hours and hours on the homework to be marked for something just because it isn't word for word. Watch all lectures and pay attention to "Hint hint".

Professor is amazing! At the end of every week, a small quiz is given. You automatically get 20/20 for just doing the quiz. About every 2-3 weeks, a research paper is given but it's not an essay, he gives you questions to answer but lots of reading. There's 2-3 extra credit assignments that are worth 15-20 points each.

Do your work and you'll be fine.

I enjoyed this class and found the mcgraw hill assignments to be my favorite. As long as you do the work, you'll get a 20/20. The discussions and 4 "big" assignments are important and there's extra credit opportunities as well. He was very understanding when I got sick and gave me an extension. I highly recommend this class if you love polysci :)

He's an amazing professor and every assignment was very clear. He offers extra credit and is a fast responder. His assignments weren't tough but I just didn't really have the time to study. Yes, you need a textbook because it's required but you need to turn in assignments on time to pass the class.

Professor V. was my first college professor. I don't think I could have had a better first professor. He is very passionate about the subjects he teaches. If you email him he will most likely email you back within minutes. He really cares about his students. Get ready to read and do your assignment and you will get an A !

i took his class just for transfer credits and was just thinking in how boring this class would be due that im prepairing for engineering and this class could be mostly strict reading and assignments but once i got to my first class, he showed so much good energy and passion about it, never made the class boring but interesting

Very clear grading and assignments, 4 research briefs, no final, 1 current even project, and 4 exams. Lots of notes but everything straight forward only chapter assignments and research briefs. Book kind of pricey, good class and great professor, very interactive, and very open minded when it comes to opinions, easy to get a hold of.

Professor Villavicencio is very passionate and he knows how to make his online lectures interesting. He responds to emails very quickly. He provides a weekly to-do list with the assignments due, so his class is very easy to follow. You will not be bored in Prof. V's class!

Professor V is great at what he does. However I dropped his class four days after the class started. there are a lot of assignments to get done especially in the first week. I do not recommend taking his class if you are taking more than 4 classes on top of his.

All you need to do is watch his weekly lectures, he also provides a very descriptive outline of the course and due dates at the beginning of the semester. There are only 4 unit exams which are easy if you read your textbook. As well as 4 research briefs which are just answering questions.

This class is very easy. He has a lot of extra credit and his grading is clear. You do have to buy the book, though. But you should still take it if you can.

Be sure to purchase the loose leaf connect textbook American Democracy Now, which is the latest textbook. There are 4 research brief assignments. 60 points each 4 exams, and some EC opportunities.

He primarily uses McGraw Hill which sucks but its just a lot of you putting in the time. The material is not difficult to understand there is just SO MUCH OF THE SAME THING. As long as you just do all modules you'll be fine. Dedicate your time wisely and don't give up it's just for one semester.

I took PolySci 1, class workload was heavy but hwk is guaranteed 100% and tests and other assignments are relatively easy. The professor is not involved much in the class he posts a weekly announcement detailing what has to be done and has pre recorded lectures. LOTSS of extra credit and he let me submit it late once. Prof is caring, & laid back.

Prof. V is passionate about the subject. The class is manageable if you stay on top of the readings and assignments. Unstuckstudy AI and the free textbook were helpful study tools. Worth taking if you need the credit.

Dr. V is one of the best political science professors in the area. He is incredibly passionate about government and the political process and how it affects our daily lives, and somehow slips in personal experiences in his lectures that are very fascinating. Workload isn't too bad - bit of reading and writing, but manageable.

He gives four days to complete exams. Gives tons of extra credit to get you over 50 points of extra credit. The textbook is 100% recommended since daily chapters of online reading need a specific QR code from a physical book package. Has OFFICE HOURS EVERY WEEK, where you can ask any questions. No + or - grades. What more could you ask for? Amazing

This was one of my favourite courses I've taken at delta! Prof V is great at explaining concepts and when I watch his lectures I feel as though I'm having a conversation instead of a class. There's a decent amount of reading, but what do you expect from a political science class. If you keep up with the material it's an easy A! Would take again!

Class was well structured, every week we were notified of what was expected of us and when items were due. Weekly lectures that were very clear and precise, presenting in a very educational manner. Very helpful instructional videos were included for certain assignments, would most definitely take this class again!

I took his class back in 2020, but for my first classes at Delta I would say he was easy and smooth sailing for me. It is a requirement to buy the textbook which I do not love, but it is not the end of the world.

Lectures were very interesting and he puts effort into every lecture. There is no final which I like, only exams. There is a significant amount of reading. The class is just mostly research briefs and exam preparation and lighter compared to some other classes.

Professor V is an excellent professor. There's a good amount of reading to do, but stay on top of things, and you'll pass easily. He offers some extra credit opportunities, so take advantage of that. This professor truly cares about his students, every lecture is essential, and even someone like me who knew nothing about politics has learned so much. The assignments are fun and manageable, with SmartBook chapters, two exams, and a few research projects that actually help you grow.

Professor V had to be one of the coolest professors this semester. His class is so fun, and man do you learn A LOT with each lecture. Overall great experience, he is very passionate about the topics and subject in my POSC class. It was very reading heavy and a lot of material to learn but I still managed an A.

This professor's lectures were easy to follow and with his history in civic government and his engagement with current events, it's clear to see that this is a passion of his, which reflects so much in his teaching. My course was online (so by nature less strenuous) but the clear expectations and easy resources made it easy. Great teacher.

He is amazing Professor but, you need to read a lot and do extra credit to the finished grade , you don't have surprises , but he is a excellent professor.

He's great at explaining directions and is very clear on how he wants you to do an assignment. It's a lot of work and reading to do. The assignments can be time-consuming but it's not too hard.
