Dr. Bambrough is great! She is very helpful and takes her time to teach you the material even if you don't get it during class. She loves chemistry and makes learning it fun which in turn gets you interested in it.

Dr. Bambrough is one of the best prof's.She made chem easy for me. if u study wat she told u,YOU WILL GET AN A.Shes is always available for tutoring. you jes haveta go up to her office and she will even explain everything all over again to you if u want to.I STRONGLY RECOMMENT YOU TAKE THIS CLASS. she will do w/e it takes for you to understand chem

She's a great person. Not that great of a professor. Her online quizzes marked you wrong when you we're right. She never gives you full points on the labs when you should have received full points. She feels there is always something to mark you off for. Pickiest professor ever!

She is a very good teacher. To do well in her class, go over all of the problems in your notes and all of the questions in the chapter review pertaining to what you learned. You'll put a lot of time w/ her class, but you'll get a good grade if you put the time in. Pay close attention to class notes- might be on test. For quizzes-study class notes.

Dr. Bambrough is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Yes, the labs are a little difficult, and it is rare to get a perfect score, but I really loved this class and, thanks to her, I know Chemistry! Really great, you should take this class.

Very hard teacher but good. She is very picky. She tells you to do the problems at the back of the book but many go way beyond her lecture and she just says do them all. Study the vocabulary as well as the problems in each chapter for the tests. Tests are T/F (very tricky), multiple choice and short answer. Lots of work to do. Learned a lot!

Great Teacher. If you do math well easy A. Yes, must get the book, but if you do the problems in that back of the chapter easy A on tests. Plus she is cute and funny love here jokes. No extra credit. All useful documents are on line,and if you miss class she now has pod casts that you can listen to if you miss class. Plus practice tests!!

Dr. Bambrough was always willing to help if you did not understand things. In labs, you could ask her to look over your report sheet and she would tell you where you might need to look again. Tests were hard, but very do-able. With a bit of studying and practice tests, you can "easily" get an A. Very flexible on office hours.

Dr. Bambrough is a really nice and easy teacher. Just read your the chapters and print her notes from ecampus and you will do just fine of her tests. She really knows how to teach well! Definently a teacher I would reccomend.

She is very helpful. I admit that I have never been able to grasp a lot the chemistry concepts before her class. But I am actually making an A. The girl is good and very helpful. She is also very personable.

Claire Bambrough is AMAZING. She is totally cool, and totally understanding that people in her classes have a LIFE. She is extremely clear, and her lectures follow the text, but are not boring. She is also extremely helpful in lab. She is always up for answering questions, and makes herself available after class or during tuturiol hours.AMAZING

Claire is extremely helpful, but you have to really do well on the tests to make an "A"..Also no test review.Be prepared to work hard at this class if you want a good grade.

AMAZING.I've never liked chemistry and it had been years since I took a course. Guess what? made an A. Great explanations, gives helpful notes, has random quizzes which are extra credit and she posts practice test-which are almost exactly like the test. Oh and she records her class periods so if your ever absent you can log on and watch it. Cool

She actually has the student's best interest at heart.She WANTS you to learn the material and WANTS you to get an A.She has the gift of being able to make Chemistry understandable and FUN. She is the BEST teacher! I'm horrible at math and never got Chemistry in high school but she made it so easy to understand, I actally liked the class! Make sure to take notes,use everything she gives you on ecampus,be sure to read and do practice problems cause they help! She wants her students to suceed, I would recommend her to everybody!

Seriously one of the best professors I have ever had- she TEACHES you and you actually learn. Instead of just memorize. I wish all teachers were like her-she actually wants you to get an A. She doesn't try to trick you on tests. She makes Chemistry interesting and not scary.

Claire is the best teacher!! I would have never guessed that I could past Chemistry but she made it some interesting and easy to understand. Her personality was great and she was always available to help. Loved her!!

She is an easy teacher.If you are good in chemistry then you really don't need to attend class, but the lab you need to.All the information you need is mainly from her powerpoint and it might help reading the book.I didn't go to class that much, but still got an A.

She is a very good teacher, and she has a very cool English Accent. I learned a lot in this class CHEM 1405 for non-science majors. The class so far is pretty easy. She teach's almost straight out of the book, so expect the test to have questions that come straight out of the book. Good luck.

Dr. Bambrough is awesome! She teaches the important stuff that's on the test, not the entire chapters like others do. Very helpful, has powerpoints, recorded Tegrity lectures so you can go back and review, and lots of helpful handouts online. If you want to understand the material and make an A, I highly recommend!

Really nice teacher! Chem is pretty hard and confusing but if you pay attention and try you will succeed. Super organized and fun which made this class a bit easier to live with.

Chemistry was very hard for me, but Professor Bambrough made it possible for me to actually pass. She's very sweet, and cares about her students. I'm NOT good at Chemistry and struggled throughout the semester and still made a B. Definitely an easy A if you are dedicated. TIP: Do ALL the extra credit possible and attend every class-DO NOT MISS LAB!

IF you are terrible with chemistry since high school. i dont suggest taking 1411 rite off the bat if you want to mantain your gpa for nursing or medical school. this class is challenging. moves super fast. professor will help but will not be enough including tutoring.take 1405 first although not tranferable to university but it will prepair you.

Professor Bambrough was a great teacher. She is genuinely enthusiastic about Chemistry. Take any extra credit that comes your way, because not much is offered. You must earn your A in this class. She zooms through each chapter, and it can be hard to keep up. But, she will go over info with you before class or in her office. Recommended.

She's an amazing woman... And she has a British accent, which I think it's cute. Pay attention to every single detail in class... She tells you what you need to memorize for the test, and gives you power points... her lectures are great!!! She's also a tough grader and gives pop quizzes. Professor Bambrough is so nice and welcoming. She uses power points and posts them on blackboard. There is a lot of content covered in the class, but you'll do fine as long as you do the work and study. She gives online weekly quizzes; there is a pre lab you need to turn in the day of lab. She is awesome!

Her class made me love chemistry, and this is coming from a prior hater of chemistry. Obviously, the subject is difficult, but she puts things in understandable terms. Her test reviews are incredibly good prep for the actual tests. Complete the reviews and memorize basic vocab and you'll have a fairly east A on tests. No practicals in lab either

Best Chemistry instructor to take at Brookhaven! She is passionate about what she does which makes learning easier. She explains in ways that make it simple to grasp the concept. I loved her! She teaches like you know nothing on the subject. It is a lot of math, but if you have questions she is very willing to help. The labs were really fun and interesting. I made an A, she does do extra credit also.

Awesome professor!! The syllabus and lab notes are very organized. For all you visual learners out there, she provides videos and illustrations for the lab experiments. Chemistry and I didn't get along at all. But after taking her class I understand it, learned a few things and actually had fun. Planning to take her for General Chem.

Dr. Bambrough @Brookhaven the best professor I have had in 5 years at A&M. She is very clear about expectations, happy to help, explains the subject matter well, and is very respectful to her students. I am nearly 40 now and was afraid to find I'd be treated like a child going back to school but have found her to treat her students as adults.

Dr. Clambrough is a great professor. She teaches in a way that is information and wants to help you understand the material. She does have moments get a little frustrated when you do not understand the material and you ask her questions. Other than that, her tests are tricky so be sure to take advantage of her reviews that she provides.

Brookhaven is lucky to have Professor Bambrough as an amazing Chemist. As for Chemistry, it is a complex course and it takes a lot of effort to learn and understand. Read the book chapters ahead of time. Never miss a lab. Although lecture is not mandatory, it helps to understand lab. Work on basic algebra and learn to do conversions. Easy A.

Pop-quiz is every lecture day at the beginning of the class with 2 pts extra credits if u answer correctly. U don't have to come on lecture day but u must come on Lab day. She is amazing,really helpful. If u can't understand Chemistry in her class, it means u can't understand any other classes because she makes Chemistry so easy.

I took her for General Chem 1 and 2 and she was amazing. Labs are relatively easy if you read the lab info and tests are self-explanatory if you do the test review and notes.

Professor Bambrough will explain things to you until you understand them. She is helpful and caring, and gives extra credit assignments for you to improve your grade. She is passionate about chemistry, and therefore she makes it seem easy.

took her for chem 1405 fall semester lab was on campus and lecture was online best decision I have ever had she is the best can't say anything but amazing teacher. Extra credit available, mini quizzes that will bump your grade up, read the lab before going to class, watch the videos that she has online and practice her test review online.

Took Prof B online because of covid and she made everything super easy! She emails back fast and makes everything easy to understand. I highly recommend her. She also gives a lot of extra credit points!!

Mrs. Bambrough is seriously the greatest! She is very accommodating if you had to turn in an assignment late. Her lectures and labs were pretty straight forward and everything she posted was very organized and easy to find. I would take her class all over again!

Great professor, made Chemistry fun and easy to understand. Very caring and helpful. Sends weekly reminders, which was very helpful for me and kept me on top of my assignments. Sapling Homework was tough, a lot of questions with long formulas which for me was time consuming but I managed to make time. She is AWESOME!!

Dr. B is an amazing professor. I took her 8-week classes (CHEM 1411 and CHEM 1412) online, due to COVID. I have never been strong at chemistry, but Dr. B made it bearable! The lectures she posts on Blackboard are excellent. She gives a lot of extra credit. She's always ready to help, you just have to ask. Would 100% take her class again.

Despite the difficulty of chemistry, Dr. Bambrough was extremely helpful and willing to extend deadlines if needed. She is supportive in a manner that is beneficial towards her students. She wants you to come into class having an idea of what youre supposed to do so dont be unprepared! Participation in lab is imperative so dont miss out.

This was my first chemistry class (dual credit student) and everything was extremely clear and well laid out, her lectures were incredibly chill and engaging, and the labs were always one of the highlights of the week. Honestly a really good choice for anyone needing a Chem class.

Chem 1411 is super hard, because of the lab part. This class has a lot of pre-lab, and post lab work. Get ready to spend a lot of time if you do take this class. The prof. is great, and tests are easier than reviews. She is also cooperative and helpful during labs. If u work hard, you will pass with a solid understanding of chem. Time taking tho.

Honestly chem is hard and her exams were pretty hard. Lecture was long but lots of information that helps you understand. She is nice and her powerpoints are straight forward. Study and take your time understanding the material. Labs are mandatory for a grade and are fun.

I had to retake chemistry and chose to take it with Professor Bambrough this time around, and I am so glad I did. She is super nice and has really organized lectures. She's always available to answer questions and I highly recommend taking her if you are someone who is intimidated by Chemistry because she makes it digestable!

Professor Bambough is a must-take for anyone in DCCCD if he/she wants a chemistry class without the overwhelming amount of course work. There is math involved, but she is aware of students with the weakness of math. The online labs aren't that difficult, instead being an average of 1-3 hours. Definitely recommend to take this class!

I took Professor Bambrough's Chemistry class this past semester and she is awesome! She made everything super clear and easy to understand. She is super understanding and was helpful during office hours. Chemistry is definitely not an easy class, but she is willing to work with you and help you with anything you may not understand.

Prof. Bambrough was great. She's efficient and a little intimidating, but still nice and will give help if you need it. For a science class we had minimal homework (1 ~30q assignment per week). The lectures were long but informative and easy to follow. She also posted weekly reminders for us about relevant due dates, tests, and in-class topics.

Fair grading, friendly environment and always available outside of class to help with material. Stick to the rules and you'll succeed.
