She is a really nice lady and she knows her stuff. She will take the time out to help you with anything you need help with. The material is not easy, but it is interesting. She makes the class very interesting. I recommend her and she is fair but, you cannot be lazy.

professor coyne is a great instructor. she gives out a lot of extra credit so be sure to keep up with regular attendance just incase you may need it. she also has the best grade scale 100-85% is an A.. can it get any better than that? plus you learn a lot in her class

Let's face it, earth science isn't an exciting subject but Claire really made the class exciting and interesting. She's very down to earth(no pun intended) and will go out of her way to help you out.

omg! if u are not a science geek its hard. she trys well to explain it but science just isnt for me! :-( she is really nice and very approachable but the subject matter is a bit intense.

Ms Coyne was a really cool teacher her class was hard for me but I was partly interested in the subject and I hate reading. Her lab though is really interesting and easy as well I got a B in that class I suggest taking both together.

You have 5- quizess all multiple choice and only 15 question not that hard. If you read your notes or pay close attention. You have four exam in which you will need scantron as well multiple choice.You need to really study the notes in order to pass. You will be given very some extra credit. Ms.Coyne is a great professor. This subject is not my favorite but she makes it very clear. She gives lots of opportunity for xtra credit and also has the best grading scale. You don't really need the book as she her lectures cover everything, you just need to take very good notes.

She is a great teacher and applies the concepts to places we actually know of. A bit of a hard grader but as long as you know how to take good notes youll pass.Shes also very amusing and entertaining!

Easy A if you put effect into the class. study the notes and know the material before the quiz. do all the extra credits and you should be fine.

She is a great teacher. It can be an easy A if you show up tp class and do well on the Test and Exam. She hardly gives homeowrk. Class can be boring and make you want to fall alseep. All you really do in class is copy down notes that are givin in class. About 90% of class time is taking notes for the semester.

The class can be hard if you don't study or attend classes. You have to take notes and study them, but if you do that the class isn't that hard. Claire is fantastic, and makes the class really interesting. She has inspired me to want to be a geologist, and I am so glad I took her class. She changed my life.

Claire is an amazing professor. Without a doubt she loves her field of expertise this is only rivialed by her eagerness to teach and pay it forward. I would recommend her to ANYONE she is that good. One of the best instructors I've ever had. Test are easy if you take notes, everything on the projectors is testable so listen well. :)

The class gets difficult if you dont put in the effort. Our exams were essays on topics she gave us in study guide. She lectures alot and it can get a little difficult and confusing but shes SOOO helpful. I highly recommend her!

Took her for Earth science 110 honors. Found the class to be somewhat difficult. Doesn't give much extra credit. Midterm and final are difficult, so you need to study and learn material in advance. She's very helpful and has a answer for every question. She truly cares about all her students and will do anything to help them out.

Really was not interested in the class but took it because it covered the general ed...but after taking the class I was pretty interested. Claire is pretty cool, I got a C in the class and took the lab and got a B its not too bad Notes are a must if you want to pass cuz you need the info for the test. Good class cool teacher

I took her for earth science. I really liked her teaching style, she has the ability to create a good classroom atmosphere, in my opinion. She explains the material clearly. Her tests are short answer and essey style, so you need to know the material. I recommed her!

Not the easiest class but not the toughest...she makes you work for your grade. Makes class interesting with her humor and definitely knowledgable and approachable.

She was really helpful, the labs weren't difficult, and she was fair with her grading. Attendance is mandatory since class was once a week and we did labs. 1 midterm, and 1 final. Overall a fun class, she is easy to approach, fun teacher.

Claire was helpful and super nice. The class was hard but challenged me in a way that I've never been. It was fun doing the rocks and minerals but the topographic maps were a little tedious. I did poorly on both the midterm and final, turned in every assignment, and she still gave me a B. Take her if you want your hard work noticed and paid off.

Interesting material. She tried to make it easy to understand and yet challenging. Extremely helpful and super nice. Assigns hw every now and then, 2 exams, final, and field trip to Dana Point. Overall, study for the exams, takes notes, do hw, and easy high grade.

Really good professor, she knows a lot about the subject and is really nice and helpful . The material is is not hard but there are a lot of terms and vocabulary to remember. The quizzes and exams are directly based off of the notes, so if you go over your notes and actually pay attention to the lecture, you should pass guaranteed.

Do the work and you'll do well. Extra credit is offered along with two chances to take quizzes. Responds quickly to emails and provides review sheets for exams. One of best online teachers I've had.

Professor Coyne is an amazing person. Her teaching style is not for everyone, however. She reads from her power points and she tends to give too much material in one class. I encourage you to show up to class because sometimes she only offers extra credit if you are physically present in class.

Best online class I ever take (this is my 5th class), it was a challenging class but doable. It was really obvious that you care for the class you always tried to respond as you could. I have had other online classes where it seems like they don't care at all just because the teacher don't see us or something. I learn tons!!!!

This was one of the most interesting online classes I have ever taken. The lectures by the professor are very helpful in understanding the subject. I would highly recommend to take this class taught by professor Coyne.

I took this class during SSTI! I really encourage students to take this class either during SSTI or a regular school semester. If I was able to pass with a B, a 14 week course, under 10 days then anyone can pass it! Just make sure to do all the hw and study. The teacher is amazing! She is easy to understand and she help her students a lot!

This course was taken during the summer "SSTI 2019". She is: very understanding toward her students, Always asking if theirs any questions, gives extra credit, is approachable during and after class, shows a lot of enthusiasm toward her teaching/material, makes lectures fun, and interacting. She is the best professor I had in my 3 yrs in SAC!!!

Midterm was tough and the final was easy for me. Her lectures are short but gets to the point of what you need to learn. Tons of extra credit opportunity. Pay attention to the each quiz because some questions will re-appear on final along with final study guide. Online class is proctored for exams only. No big deal. Its just a virtual test.

I really love taking this course, it was a lot of fun!!! I love how she cares about your grade that if you need anything she'll be there for you. If you show up and do the work you'll pass the class.

Class is well structured, you know what needs to get down every week. Lots of material but it is an 8 week class. I found the study guides very helpful and stuff on them was definitely on the exams. Lots of opportunities to improve grade. Professor sends out reminders and would respond to emails within a day or so. I liked the class

I took this course twice , the first time i took it was Spring 2018 at my own fault I fell behind but regardless Professor Coyne would communicate about deadlines and assignments . I took this course again Fall 2019 it was an 8 week course and Professor Coyne was yet again amazing! She cares about her students ! DO THE WORK .

This class wasn't easy and there was a ton of work for an 8 week course, but the professor is really helpful and responds to questions quickly. She gives a soil amount of extra credit so take advantage of it, it adds up. The tests are split in two parts and the first part is open note so it's extremely helpful. Overall, good professor!

Hands down the best science professor I have ever had. She is clear about the subject we were learning about and helps you understand the subject with different scenarios. If you get to meet Ms. Claire on a personal level she is honestly the most genuine person you will ever meet. She truly cares about her students and will help out in any way.

I didn't think I would pass the class it was really challenging, but I found the content absolutely interesting! Professor C provides great lectures and study materials, you just REALLY need to do the work. She has informative lectures and free textbook materials. She is very helpful with questions and feedback. Would definitely take her again!

The lectures and material she provided where well organized and she had very fair exams. As long as you do your work and study the material she provides you will do good in this class. On a personal note, Professor Coyne is very communicative and helped me with some assignments when I was having a tough time with some personal things. 10/10 prof
