taught a very hard subject exceptionally well. extremely intelligent, and very attractive
Complete lack of organization leaves little to no time to complete assignments to one's satisfaction.

She does NOT know how to teach..... She should be go to classes and learn how to be good teacher. She is not fair. She has favorites in all her classes that she tend to be nicer to.
She is very easy to understand when she teaches due to the fact that she give you the notes that she lectures from. Her tests are straight from the notes-so basically a no brainer. She's energetic, and good lab professor. She helps the students a lot.
she is sooo coool.....she has so much knowledge....i really enjoyed her class...she is very helpful...n a very nice person...
She's awesome - I loved the class!
knows A&P like the back of her hand. good professor. She pushes students to do well by being sturn and serious. No games in her class. She does not have favorites. If you do the work & not waste her time, she will like you. Be sure you can deliver!
Oh god! she is sooo horrible. very unorganized. does not know how to teach. her thoughts are jumbled and you can't really follow what she says!
Best teacher around!! She definitly knows what she is talking about. I am only 1/2 way through her class and I can't wait for the 2nd half. She should go on Jeopardy and win lots of cash. I give her a 10 out of 10!!!
she is an excellent prof. I did excellent in this class, because i did not goof around. If you do your work it pays off. It is not an easy course but she is a good prof. because she want her students to succeed and she pushed me to do better and i did.
Nice lady, but confusing, tells u one thing is on the exam & gives u another. Is not very clear & has her favorites. Do not fool around in her class, u need to study & study hard. Gives extra points for going to the Science Center, but thats all.
She is a very nice woman who knows what she is talking about. She really knows what she is talking about. She is very smart, but a little tough.
Very unclear at times. Tells u one thing and puts another on the test. Has her favorites and gives them higher grades, ask around. Brushes you off if you ask for help and extra credit or helps you according to the mood that she is in. At first I really liked her, then her true colors showed through.
She's an excellent teacher. I took her again for A&P 2 because I did so well in her class. Some people say she was hard, but you had to read and study the notes she gave. The great thing about her was that she taught based on notes and tests were based on notes as well, so study her notes!!
Nice lady, but unclear and unfair. If you ask for help with a problem she will refer you to the Science Enrichment Center, which she gives extra credit for. If she treated all of her students the same she would be great. I do not recommend taking her for this class or any other b/c of her attitude.
very knowledgable woman, doesn't have patience in lab, so try to figure it out on your own. She is a little unorganized, so it can be hard to follow. Read the book, and go to study groups (Lenny) they help a lot!
very intelligent teacher, not so great during lecture but the quizes are all based on the notes. Tests are somewhat difficult but she provides study guides. Gives extra points for going to the SEC.
Great Teacher! Tough but caring She knows her stuff & never disorganized. What she gives in class will never get fm others who are true disorganized teachers like "K". She's one of a kind, like Deroche. Both are tough, but you'll learn. Study hard, & go for tutoring. Best teachers in bio. dept
she spaces out a lot during lecture and forgets to cover topics. But if u read the book and her outlines u will do well. Her 5 points extra credit for going to tutoring helps A LOT so go u are dumb if u don't go!She announces her quizzes before hand her tests are hard B/C u can't just memorize
Excellent professor. I learned so much from her class. I had her for lecture and lab. Just pay attention in class, read and study her notes, go to SEC for tutoring and extra points, and do your work! It pays off.
Dr. Leonard is a very nice person. She explains eveything clearly & gives quizzes to keep to make sure you keep up for the tests. She gives chapter outlines that really helps & you should to the SEC for tutoring to get coupon points. It is a good class, so pay attention in class. SHE IS THE BEST!
probably best bio teacher at the school. basically she just reads off her notes but is funny and nice. go to the science enrichment center because u learn mostly there. skipped a few classes and didn't make a difference.
Well if I had my choice of all the professors I could possibly take my preference would be Dr. Leonard. Her good qualities are to numerous to count. It helps having someone who cares. also the person she uses to help tutor us (Lenny) also cares.
Professor Leonard is great. She helps the students & is very caring. She gives you 5 points for going to tutoring & is very understanding. She breaks down all the work & makes it much easier to understand. I definitely would recommend her again & my whole class would back me up on that :)
she is really nice and helpful. show up and you will do well. makes print out of notes for you. follow notes for class. bring a highlighter. i recommend her whether majoring in science or not. tells you interesting stuff about marketing scams.
pretty good teacher, its a diff. class with a lot of information.she gives a lot of guided notes so u just gotta pay attention in class.very nice and helpful, but she isnt hot.
i found her to be very confusing at times, and she tends to get off topic quite often. But she does make study guides and prints out lecture notes. and she isnt hot...at all
She is a pretty good teacher, she gives you notes and a study guide, but i didn't use them I just read and I think that is the only way to pass her class-I missed most of her classes and still passed that is because I READ THE BOOK FOR 8 HOURS BEFORE THE FINAL EXAM!!!
in order to do well in this class, all u need to do is: 1) study and memorize the notes. her tests come strictly from the notes 2)go to SEC for extra points 3) if u wanna miss a class, go right ahead. she doesnt take attendance and lectures have nothing to do with exam. this class may sound easy, but you need to put in a lot of time and effort

very unorganized
i like her. shes very intelligent and even tho she may go off topic at times the tangent is always something about A+P. she doesnt take attendance but she knows the faces of those who attend on a regular basis and they are rewarded in the end.
I like her! Just read the chapter and notes and you're good. If you have her for lab, you're good to go. She gives AMAZING curves. She's funny too. She's REALLY clinical but it helps in the long run if you're a nursing major. She's awesome and if you show up to class a lot and talk to her, she'll remember your name =)
She's a great professor. She knows her stuff. Her outlines are very useful and her tests come right from her outlines.
she is funny i always look forward to going to class. A&P is really hard no matter who's the prof but she helps a lot. extra credits
Amazing professor! One of the best but the material is DIFFICULT so you HAVE to go to tutoring and do what you can to get a good grade. Sitting in class and taking notes is not enough. She's very helpful though.
long story short... when she gets stressed she DOES become a bit scattered brained and becomes distracted. she takes her time.. and truly she is fair when it comes to exams! =]]
I loved professor Leonard. She is a really nice lady and does her best to explain the material. I thought she did a good job and she even gives you notes that cover each chapter. I didn't open the book, studied her notes, and went to some tutoring and I got a B+. Take her
She was an awesome professor, her exams were hard but fair, and she is always willing to help those who are trying
SHe is a very nice teacher, she tends to stray from the point at times but besides thats hes good. The class itself is hard, so the test are too but its on everything she covered... and she gives good notes and study guides.
Dr. Leonard has become one of my friends. She is the most knowledgeable teacher at this school. She is willing to help her students even if it means she stays in school until 10pm with you. Histology was a blast with Dr. Leonard and I've become a master at the microscope and at looking at slides. Class is very helpful for Med students take her!
A very nice person but, her ability to teach is lacking. She has a hard time delineating exactly what she wants for assignments, which can be very frustrating. Does try to be helpful. It is possible to do well but you need to be on top of things and make friends with her.

the subject is hard but if u study should be fine, she does get off track alot but the notes she gives you to study are perfect, if u study that and pay attention you should be fine
She maybe a nice person but she is a poor communicator as well as unorganize professor. Her lecture is all over the place?from real estate to stock market?and her exam is extremely hard to understand (again poor communicator). Short tempered when seek help. Most of class mates are can not answer her question in class.
Had her for Cell Bio Lab. one of the few science teachers without a boring voice. Nice and not too diffiucult. Recommended as you learn a lot and her experiments are quite interesting.
Very nice lady but a very hard class
Do not take this class! She seems to be a nice person, but she is also short tempered. She constantly goes off-track and talks like she assumes you already know what she is talking about, which is frustrating for complex chapters in anatomy. The tests are hard and require deep knowledge of the subject beyond what is written in her notes.
She skims over material and expects students to devote their lives to anatomy. Expects students to go to tutoring numerous times a week. If you need to talk to her she is helpful, but her tests are extremely difficult.
She's smart but has no clue how to teach. Expects students to know things that they don't need to know for another 3 years. Gets off topic all the time and doesn't give enough time to cover topics. Expected my class to learn chapters on our own that she didn't have time to cover for the final.
Doesn't teach. I stopped coming to class towards the end of the semester because all you have to do is read the chapters and you're good. Tests are hard too. Just read the chapters!
Excellent teacher, just a very hard class in general.
She is very hard and does not care about the students. :(
She expects you to know medical terminology that you have never heard of before, and don't need to know for at least 2 more years. She skims over slides, expects you to read and understand chapters before she goes over them. Go to tutoring at the SEC. You WILL get points on your tests for them. She may be easier than other professors but still hard
Leonard does not take attendance, always goes off topic, and expects the students to have the knowledge of registered nurses already. Study on your own, do the study guides, and print out the slides/notes to help you. Everything she says in class just confuses you more. Exams are somewhat hard, so do the study guides and extra credit questions!!!
You have to study before attending the class or lab.she is very nice and helpful.her exam is mstly based on what she emphasize in class.
I look up to this lady. She is so intelligent and loves this subject. She gives you notes and study guides- Print them out for class and follow along in your book. Study guides are exactly whats on exam. You will do well if you study but be aware this class requires endless amounts of studying.
Really awesome teacher. I switched my major from Eng. to Bio cuz of her class. Took her in the summer. Study each chapter on ur own, come to every class prepared, and FOR HER TESTS: study her study guides. Go to tutoring center for clarifications and E.C. pts.
You won't find a harder course. Incredible amounts of information to learn and retain. I didn't like anything about this course, except for Dr. Leonard. She is a classy lady, and will help you if you ask her. Take advantage of the SEC points!! You will need them.
This lady is one of the most intelligent people I've ever met, but she can't teach to save her life. She expects you to know everything about the medical field and if her notes are incorrect it's your fault. The textbook barely helped and her weekly quizzes just kill your grade. Do not take her if you want to keep a high GPA. Very bad overall.
She is so smart and knows what she's talking about but is sometimes unclear when lecturing. Read the notes she puts online and study from them. The weekly quizzes barely do anything but they come right from her notes as well. GO TO SEC (even if it doesnt help) for the ec points. Read her notes over and over and you'll do well.
She is sometimes unclear on what is expected, show that you have grasped the material on assignments, you will be fine. I've come to realize that she really wants students to understand the labs, and the only way she knows how to do that is by pestering you until you understand it, calling on people at random, and complaining. She's nice otherwise.
I'm taking her right now and she really knows what she's talking about. She puts her own notes and the textbook PPTs online. Her exams aren't hard if you study her notes and use her study guide. If you don't understand something, tell her because she'll explain it until you get it. I wish I could take her next semester.
She is very smart and knows what she's talking about. Her tests are very straight forward. Her essays require analysis and knowledge of topic. Also, she gives a lot of extra credit on tests and she really wants everyone to be prepared for future A&P classes.
She is a great professor, she really wants everyone to understand the material and explains topics well. Her tests are straight from the notes and study guide, the essays require critical thinking. GO TO THE SEC, it gets you extra points on the exams and is the best thing you can do to fully understand all of the topics.
some ppl in the class thought she was kinda nuts. I liked her and I think I formed a good relationship with her. DO get along with her, youll probably see her again. she's extremely repetitive and will randomly call on people to make sure everyone is paying attention. To get her off ur back, u will have to engage in the discussion. btw she curves.
Just study and youll do fine. Definitely read the book and her study guides. Class is easier if u have a background in anatomy. She gives plenty of extra credit. First exam: I went from an 84 to a 91
She will go over anything you need her to, she wants to see everyone do well in the class. The course is tough, there is no way out of studying, it will definitely need most of your time. She gives you a study guide and pretty much sticks to it. No quizes in the summer, but keep up on your studying.
She is a very smart woman and knows what she's talking about but sometimes she will talk about things she expects you to know that you don't even know about yet. Study her notes and you will do well on tests. Reading the chapters in the textbook ahead of time will help! You have to be willing to work and spend time studying if you want to do well.
She is very confusing and messes up a lot. She is nice, sometimes funny, but expects that you already know everything she teaches.
I find her to be very unprofessional. If you find something confusing in lecture and you ask her to clarify it, you'll get a sarcastic explanation. Her tests are difficult and so are the weekly quizzes. Her overall demeanor is sarcastic and she does know what she's talking about but she expects you to know it all before you walk into lecture.
Go to the SEC!!
I had Leonard for Anatomy & Physiology 1. She's not a bad teacher, but she's not amazingly the best. She gets off topic. There's a quiz 1xweek (usually on a Monday) about everything you learned prior. There's 3 exams. Only pay attention to what is on the notes that she gives you. Go to SEC tutoring to pass & get the Extra Credit pts (max 6). No hw
Read the notes, the powerpoints, and the textbook from cover to cover, spend all your free time in the SEC, and you will be okay. And don't bother trying to take notes in class.
GEN BIO 2. Great professor, knows a ton. What you get is what you get as far as grades, no wiggle room. She can be slightly abrasive but ask questions and she'll gladly go further into detail.
Her lectures are on the longer side, but mostly because people give her blank stares when she asks if everyone understands so she explains again. If you show enthusiasm and respond to her questions she will respect you. She is a bit frazzled sometimes but she has good humor. She just wants to make sure she is creating employable scientists.
Dr. Leonard knows her material very well and tries to help you pass as much as she can. In return, you must put in the work and effort to get a good grade and show her that you've studied and done your homework. Passed with a B rating, but would definitely try again!
Wonderful professor, I would take her again. Might go off topic somethings but at the end of the day is super smart and knows what she is teaching and how to explain herself.
I don't know why but I really liked this professor, even though she can come off as mean when she teaches- one on one she is extremely helpful and nice! When you first listen to her talk it can be confusing but if you try to put the ideas together its really easy to comprehend, also her labs explain EVERYTHING to detail READ READ READ THEM!
She is extremely condescending, unapproachable, and unorganized. She rambles on about irrelevant information in class and then rushes through important material. For example, she ranted about probiotics (not important to curriculum) every class for 3 weeks, yet only spent one lecture on both the immune and nervous systems b/c we ran out of time.
Great Prof. She really wants you to understand the material and pass the tests. She gives you the essays ahead of time. She makes learning the content fun and comical. Always available for office hours and even announces opportunities for pre-professional majors and networking.
Prof. Leonard knows her stuff, and is good with details, but those details often get her sidetracked during lectures. Her notes are unorganized, with spelling errors, repeats, etc. I used her notes as a guideline of what to study, but had to constantly double-check with the book to make sure words and definitions weren't mixed up on the page.
Professor Leonard is quite intimidating, but don't let that stray you away. She is very enthusiastic about her work. I learned so much from her lectures, which are pretty long but only because she spends most of her time repeating herself thinking no one understands. Overall, I loved her and definitely look forward to studying under her again.
Dr. Leonard is a Gangsta. She's tough as nails and is intimidating. I feared her at first. But I began taping her and OMG. After listening to her lecture, she speaks harshly, but Her lectures are good and make sense they are direct. Which is what is missing from the lecture portion of the course from Dr.G. I felt stronger after taking each lab exam
She's a really nice and caring lady. She puts in a lot of effort in her work so you can learn the material. She definitely cares for students wants them to succeed!
shes not horrible; just gets off topic a lot and needs reassuring a few times. but her exams aren't THAT difficult if you follow her study guides thoroughly. you also get extra credit on each exam including the final. you can get up to 5 extra credit points on each exam if you go to the SEC or even send her pictures/videos of you studying w a group
She's a decent choice. Had her for cell bio lab. She's nice but goes into long tangents.
She's an alright choice. Her lectures are quite difficult to understand and she makes her test/quizzes relatively difficult. Her ppts and notes are not the best but they're ok. She goes on tangents a lot and kinda takes too long on 1 topic. To pass her class you will need to visit tutoring quite frequently.
One of the best A&P professors I had. It is a heavy lecture class with PP. It's a hard class, make sure to stay on top of your work. She gives out EC if you go to the SEC (make sure you go). Go over the PP and read her own notes to study for the exams.
This professor makes me want to commit myself to an institution.
It's a hard class, but she makes her tests the easiest they can possibly be. A lot of multiple choice and every time "all of the above" is an option, thats the answer. Focus on comprehension, not memorizing every detail. Dr. Leonard is a really nice person who clearly cares about everyone in her class. I'd take her over any other A and P professor.
