Never liked english and def. was not prepared for this class at all but after having prof. weimmer my outlook is much diff. She is an awesome teacher, alot of writing but it is alwaysabput something in your life so it is easy to come up with topics to matter how in detail you write them. Prof. Weimmer is amazing, and she really helps you out with... anything. She teaches a great english class, just be prepared to write a lot and have your skills improve immensely. She just rules. Take her class, believe me when I was "You will not fall asleep in this class".

Awesome professor! Very helpful always willing to explain the work. She keeps you interested. Be prepare to write alot but her grading is extremely fair. If you do the assignments the class will be easy. Take her class she is great!

I LOVE THIS TEACHER! I had her for both 151 and 152. And although the writing assignments and papers got ridiculous in 152, she's still the best and really demands improvement in all her students. She is just so awesome. I wish I could take her again!

LOVE HER! Just do the assignments correctly, and show up to class and you'll be fine. Clear, enthusiastic, entertaining, down to earth, motivating, respectful, intelligent, and understanding teacher. You don't even realize you are learning. Her teaching style adapts to all types of students. I wish I could take her again!!

Oh my goodness. What a great professor! English was not on my top 10. Now it is. She made the class interesting and fun. We worked in small and large groups as well as individuals. Lots of reading and writing but this is English class. Keep up with the reading, attend class and you will have no problems. I wish I could have this professor over.

Love her! great professor. didn't make the class boring at all. she always explained what we should get out of a story and liked discussion. related the readings to everyday life. very fair grader and very nice women. if you try, there's no reason not to get an A.

She is very funny too! work load isnt that bad only really have 25 minutes of homework per class. her papers only have to be about 400 words, sometimes less and they are easy topics that you can really relate to. only one research paper on choice topic. i definitely reccommend her as a professor for 151! you get out early too :)

Love this prof. She's alot nice than some other profs. ran into her yesterday, and she remembered me. she cares about every student she's given. she may sound intimidating at first, but give her time. gives you alot to read, but she wants to give you an education. learned from her and she tries to get you far in live. don't plagarize in her class.

Lets see... tough, fair, funny, helpful, engaging, demanding, and communicative. A lot of reading and writing, but this IS an English class. GREAT teacher. Show up, do the work, and you'll do well. Loved her.

She is a great professor. She is friendly and pushes you to do what you have to do in order to pass the class. I took her for 151 and there was a lot of work, outling and essays; but in the end it was totally worth it. I plan on taking her for 152 next semester. Highly recommended!!! Put in the effort and you will do just fine.

Professor Weimmer is a warm-hearted woman. She is extremley helpful and will do anything to help her students. If you do the work required you will recieve a high grade. I had her for Eng 1 and already signed up for her Eng 2 class. GREAT PROFESSOR. I RATE HER AN A++++

Enjoyed Eng 151 w Prof Weimmer so took her 152 class. she can be tough if needed, but very approachable and fair.

One of my favorite english professors. There is a lot of writing involved, but she is funny, intelligent, and overall a wonderful woman and person who knows so much and is so wise. TAKE HER. You won't regret it, as long as you can take the writing.

I absolutely loved Professor Weimmer. She will make you work but nothing is too repetitive or uninteresting. It is safe to say that she is absolutely brilliant and a true expert at anything that has to do with English. Weimmer cares deeply about all of her students passing and being successful. Take her and get a thorough education in English.

She is a great professor. Very fair and wants her students to succeed. You will work in her class but that is why you learn so much.

What can I say. This professor is down right AWSOME. She is the best englush teacher ever! She lets you boist your own opinions and loves to get interactive in class to not bore the class down. I actually looked forward to going to english everytime. There is writing involved but to me did not seem like much. FOOLISH TO NOT TAKE HER FOR ENGLISH!!!

Professor Weimmer is an excellent teacher. She is one of the most helpful people I have ever encountered. She can also relate to our (students) everyday lives. She understands that we're kids and we have lives. That being said, the whole course was mostly papers and she is a very fair grader. I highly recommend her to anyone at all.

Very good teacher, always willing to help if you have a problem understanding something. Very Fair in grading. The class is not "easy", but if you do the work she asks you to, you will get the grade you deserve.

Her english class actually talks about literatre! She's very clear about what she's looking for you just CANNOT be lazy in her class. A lot find her hard but if you had honors in high school then you should find it easy. Otherwise I would question your high school. She really clarifies how everything should be written. I highly recommend her.

Nice lady, but you really need to put work into your essays/research paper. You do journals that she grades, they are very easy to get a good grade on. My suggestion, take time in your essays/research paper and let her proof read, fixing things up. It will defiantly make that letter grade difference.

I generally hate English class. . . But I would definitely rate Professor Weimmer as the best teach at the college (No... I have had ever teacher, but based on overall experience thus far). She really allows you to keep an open mind. It is too often that Professors are too set in their ways with "its my way or the highway." Outstanding teacher!!!

Professor Weimmer is a wonderful teacher. She is there to help you learn. There is a great deal of writing. You write in class essays and essays at home but it helps you to learn and hone your writing skills. She is an easy grader. Do the homework and come to class - you will pass.

Weimmer is the GREATEST professor I ever had. She taught me some materials that I already knew in high school, like my research paper. If any student is having trouble finding who is "GREAT" for ENGL 151 course, this is my recommendation to you! =)

Ms. Weimmer is a fantastic English teacher, you can tell she is totally passionate about the subject and it will reflect on the both you and the class. The course is very, very reading/writing intensive but it's not too horrible. There are also lots of group discussions so make sure you read and do your homework! She'll call you out. :)

She always takes attendance. There's almost always hw but not a crazy amount. She's really passionate and you can tell that she actually likes her job. She tries to keep it interesting and she actually does. It's a good amount of work but if you do it all, your guaranteed to pass without a doubt. She's also realy friendly on a personal level.

Weimmer is AWESOME! She's the best English teacher I've had. She gives homework for every class but it was easy, just read a few very short essays and take notes. By far one of my favorite proffesors this semester. She's super passionate about teaching and gives you many opportunities to do better and try's to help students as well as she can. Focuses on students forming their opinions and becoming well informed individuals Lots of writing assignments but grades easily and the assignments are fairly simple.

Good teacher, zero tests the entire course, no homework but if you don't read what she tells you to read she'll call you out. A few 1-2 page typed essays and one research paper for the course, if you do your work it's and easy course to boost your GPA..

Professor Weimmer cares a lot about having your own voice in society. She's a really sweet lady. If you don't like reading for homework after every class, do not take. She assigns a couple papers throughout the semester. I loved her and Im taking her again next semester. Despite the work, she cares a lot about your improvement in writing.

All other class work done in groups and not graded. 3 or 4 short 500 word max at home essays. One 5 page minimum research paper at end of semester

One of my favorite professors ever. She knows what to expect from each students and grades based on progress. If you are looking to improve or are worried you might slack off, this is the professor you want to take. She will keep you on track and support you, but you have to try.

Professor Weimmer was by far the best teacher I have had at OCC. There is a decent amount of work, so steer clear if you despise writing, but if you don't you should definitely take her class! She is helpful and actually cares about her students. She can work with you if you absolutely need it, and covers a fair amount of interesting literature.

She is the best teacher there is at OCC. She is very inspirational, I took for English 151 & 152 and I'm so glad that I did!!!!. She is a wonderful professor. i would if i have to take her again i would take her in a heartbeat. She is always there for you when you need her she hates cellphones, YOU MUST READ WHEN SHE TELLS YOU TO AND PARTICIPATION IS A MUST. Also she gives you reflective essays almost every time she gives a reading assignment, but she does not grade the hard. The most you get is a 4 C.

A lot of class discussion, and only like (3) 500 word papers. Not a difficult class and is always giving students essay and MLA feedback. She wants us to think and form opinions about events, which is cool. It's a little bit like a critical thinking class more than it is a writing class. Writing reflections are easy, and she doesn't grade hard.

Professor Weimmer is an angel!! She likes to get everyone involved in discussions about readings that are assigned for homework, which is good since the topics are all relevant today and interesting to discuss. Overall easy grader and the papers that you write only have a 500 word maximum which is awesome! Love her!

This professor is amazing! Definitely the one to take if you are looking for inspiration and to LEARN. Slacking off is big no. Participation matters. However, she is super genuine, caring, and helpful. All essays were 500 words or less. Homework is simple readings/taking notes on them. TAKE HER!!!

She is a great teacher. She cares about her students. She wants everyone to get an A. What I loved about her class was that we did not have any tests. Basically all you have to do is read the assigned readings and look at some news. Everyone needs to take her.

Best teacher I've had at OCC. One of the few that goes the extra mile to help students succeed. Keeps students up-to-date about the goings-on around campus, and sign-up dates for classes. Sign up early though, her classes fill up fast.

The best English professor there is on this campus!! If there's an open spot take it, do not hesitate. She is very clear on her assignments, likes to get students involved so make sure you participate(big part of your grade). She definitely makes you work for your grade, but only because she wants you to do your best and improve. She wants only for her students to succeed, and if you listen to her and work with her, you will succeed.

I had Professor Weimmer for ENG151 and will defiantly take her again for 152. Cares about all her students and respected by everyone at OCC. Very little HW for an English class. textbooks are mandatory, but the reading HW is never a lot, usually under 10 pages. Accessible to help outside of class, for her class and others. Lectures are fun.

Professor Weimmer is one of a kind. My experience in her class was amazing. She really cares about every individual student she has and is willing to go above and beyond to help anyone who is struggling. She is passionate in what she does and it shows. Any questions or concerns are acknowledged. She makes the classroom feel like a home.

I took this class to fill my English requirement and honestly she was the best. She's caring and funny, and actually pushes you to be a better writer. A lot of outlines and you'll definitely need the Current Issues book, there's a lot of homework, essays, and class discussions that you need it for. She actually cares about her students, take her!

Weimmer was great! She's got a nice personality and is understanding. Papers were only roughly 500 words each. Not really a fan of how political the class was but it was during the 2016 election. She's pretty lenient in the beginning but cracks down more half way through. I would recommend her to anyone taking the course! Her class fills up fast!

Professor Weimmer I believe is easily the best English teacher Ocean County College has to offer. She is an amazing teacher and really knows and understands kids. She simply wants the best for all of her students and as long as you do the work you cannot fail. Her essays are easy and fairly short, and you will leave class feeling inspired!

Professor Weimmer is a fantastic teacher! Probably the best teacher I've had in a while so you will be amazed by the amazing, inspirational words she has to say. The class is relatively easy as all you have to do is read, write and participate in discussions.

Weimmer was amazing! If she wasn't taking a semester off I'd be taking her for 152 as well. She had an awesome way of teaching and always kept my attention in class. In class time was mostly group discussions and reflections on the readings you did at home. You do have to take your own notes for the class using the book. Not to many papers.

I took her for English 1 and I have her planned for English 2! She is so sweet and one of the best professors you can get! You read and write a lot in her class, but it is well worth it. You will never see a big research paper, only 3 small essays. But be prepared to write reflections and read a lot out of the textbook. I would recommended!

However, participation is a big part of your grade aside from weekly reflections and 4-5 essays. If you think about skipping out on the homework readings, don't. She'll know. Taking this professor's class for English 151-03 was the best decision. She is such a caring professor who really loves her students. While taking her class, my writing improved dramatically. We write frequently, and she gives us great feedback to strengthen it. We also read a lot of stories in our book and learn how to find our voice in life.

I have taken her for both English classes. If you show up and participate you will do amazing. There are many papers and a lot of reading, but it is an English class! I would HIGHLY recommend her. She is kind, caring and a wonderful friend and professor.

Professor Weimmer was the best teacher/professor I've ever had in my entire life. If I could take this class every single semester I would. She's so passionate about what she does and always makes the class interesting. Read, show up and participate and you'll receive an A.

I had professor Weimmer for English 1 last semester where I received an A and currently have her for English 2 currently with an A.... she is the nicest professor I have had so far, gives really good advice & is really passionate for what she does. For English 1 you need the book but for English 2 I have been jut looking the stories up online

I took her for two semesters she was so good! Her class is pretty easy, as long as you read what youre supposed to and do what youre told. She doesnt assign many long papers just short reflections on the work you read at home. She grades easy but format is everything. Shes nice, caring, understanding. Her class is fun I would take it again.

Mrs. Weimmer is an amazing teacher who cares about her students. She will help guide you through all your work if you need any help. Looks for participation and does assign work every class, but she makes the class fun and easy to get through. I took her for both ENG151 and ENG152 and would take her again if I could.

Mrs. Weimmer was by far the most amazing English teacher I have ever had in my college career. Her lectures are motivating and they grab your attention unlike many other professors. She motivates you to get the A you deserve in the class and gives amazing feedback. Would definitely recommend taking her but be quick because her classes fill up quick

Professor Weimmer was the best professor I've ever taken at Ocean. Over the past year, I've taken English 151 and 152 with her, and would highly recommend taking with Professor Weimmer. She pushes all of her students to present their best work, and also really cares about everyone in the class. Shes always got a Method to her madness!

Mrs. Weimmer is one of the best professors Ive had. She is caring and understanding to all her students. When participating in class she makes everyone feel as though their opinion is valued and important. Expectations for papers are pretty short but format is important. I would definitely take again.

She's perhaps my favorite English teacher at OCC, she cares about her students and the effort of work they put in, she's very funny and charming, definitely recommendable for people who are unsure on which professor to take next semester, i promise you it's worth it. Just prepare to do a lot of homework and reading

This class has been absolutely amazing. Professor Weimmer is so inspiring! For this class, you need to read to succeed! We speak about the news for the first fifteen minutes of every class. There is one research paper and some small papers. I would definitely recommend others to take her class.

I absolutely recommend taking this teacher. She may give you short stories to read however, it is an English course and you're going to have to read and write. She explains the purpose to all of her assignments and she goes over them in class as well. Would HIGHLY recommend taking this professor.

You will definitely have to work for your grade in this class. Professor Weimmer's lessons are very effective, and you will certainly find yourself learning. I took her for both English 151 and 152 and she was great throughout both semesters. As long as you do the work, you will certainly learn and succeed.

Weimmer is the MOST passionate professor I have EVER had at OCC! She has helped me and supported me through issues regarding other classes. If she sees youre trying she will give you another try. NO tests or quizzes just readings, short essays and class discussions. I have never been a fan of English but I surely loved this one!! PLEASE TAKE HER!!!
