Great instructor, although the class is challenging. Instructor will keep you laughing the entire semester
Excellent teaching
Best professor I've had at rcc. Very funny, very politicaly incorrect. Encourages sleeping in class, likes to talk smack on ex wife.
I LOVE this professor! He is hilarious and exceptionally brilliant. Presents real life scenarios and applies them to psych. Makes people think outside the box and teaches people how to really study. Tests are hard, but you learn a lot!
I've taken every psych class this professor teaches because I believe he is just that good. Btw, his ex wife is not his ex wife, but the same woman he's been married to for years. (Notice he never refers to her as an ex...) Jokes are risquee, but good!
Great teacher, don't take the class if you are easily offended by off color or policticaly incorrect jokes. I found him to very funny though. Best class I've taken in college yet.
funniest teacher ever!
Best teacher yet.Very educated man who will keep the class intresting the whole semester. Even at 7:25 you want to be in class. Although be careful when it comes to being piked on he likes to minipulate the mind. Application is a must in Romero's class.
Very dirty jokes. Makes fun of students. I do not recommend him at ALL!!!!!!!!
Very VERY difficult...you have to study but you will learn life lessions. This class has given me a new perspective on college. Take the class but dont base your opinion on the first day or week...
Romero Is Great. He will open up to questions, explain, and give excellent examples. You are able to apply psych. to your daily life. The course is very interesting, I enjoyed it very much. Romero is very funny and his jokes are nothing but the truth.
Romero is full of jokes.(dirty and clean) Class is easy but you HAVE TO read the text book on your own to pass the class. Exams are right from the book. Most of the stuff he talks about arent from the book but its the truth with life.
Dirty dirty man!!! Do not take his class, bad bad teacher. Bad purverted teacher, take his class if you like to talk about sex.
very unclear on what he is testing you on. Picks on students and not intersting. Goes off topic so much never lectures on what is on the test.
Romero is crazy and he tries to scare you into dropping the first couple of weeks.. he makes fun of people a lot if they give the wrong answers. Make sure you read and understand the chapters ahead of time. It's one of the hardest classes I've ever taken, but you end up learning a lot.
Very funny professor. If your into going to class to laugh this is the one for you.If you want to learn anything ask alot of questions. Tests are very hard. Lectures are not very helpful read the chapters over and over and over again.
Class is fun and you can learn a thing or two. His lectures are very superficial not what you will find on his exams. I suggest you find someone else, someone helpful.
Romero is an excellent teacher. He makes you look at your life in a different perspective.Contrary to what people say he is an excellent teacher. If you really want to learn take any one of his classes. He may go off the topic now and then and say some weird things but that what makes him unique.
He is in denial and thinks he looks like Brad Pit.
Romero is the****!
Ok if you like dirty jokes and to be picked on, if you want a teacher to teach you things, I would suggest someone else. His lectures have nothing to do with the class. You basically just teach yourself from the book. He's no help.
Professor Romero is a funny one. He makes class go by fast and he is really easy. I totally recommend him. I took his class in the winter and got a B.
very hard teacher. i was in the winter course..and dropped after a week. if u want to read ALOT and get lost take this class. this guy goes off topic and picks on u all the time. very hard class! only recommend if u are a very fast learner and can teach urself out of the book!
He gives automatic a's on tests if you pay attention! got an a on the test and never read a page!!!
He's cool in that he is very, very, honest. However he makes snap judgements that are completely inaccurate and offensive. Lectures are fun but the tests are not.
sucks
Romero Is El GUAPO!!! he's the best teacher. Explains everything in details and offers his help all the time I lOVE this professor. Got an A.
Romero's class was so entertaining. The class itself was hard, if you didn't play attention or read the book. He was so funny and we talked about sex in basically every class. VERY FUNNY TEACHER . . . HARD CLASS!!!
quite possibly the best teacher I've ever had. the epitome of KEEPING IT REAL.
Very nice teacher. He likes to debate, but getting inside a person's head is part of psychology!
romero is hilarious but alos very insightful. He will stay after class and help you get a handle on concepts you mgiht be struggling with. He gives alot of free points and discuses almost everything you need in the lecture but he finds ways to make it entertaining. I deliberately chose him for my next psych class his fall.
He sucks as a teacher, he dose not explain anything very well.
Coulnt stand going to his class so...i didnt SUCKED

This guy is a jerk. Don't take his class. Of all the insane teachers i have had...he's the King.

Changed my life and way of thinking. One of the greatest teachers i've ever had. Open your mind and think, because only the closed-minded get offended by his ideas.
It's been one day and I already can't stand him. He's ****, ****, and picks on students by asking them very personal questions. If you're a private person, don't take him. If you're Asian, don't take him, there is some hositility towards Asians. I want to drop, but can't. =(
Probally one of the hardest professors, but the best Ive had yet. He is awesome!

I had so much fun in his class. I took his class for summer and had a ball.
He gives you the answers to tests in his lecture, just pay attention class was an easy A.

Dr. Romero is one of the most amazing professors I've ever had! He makes learning a life changing experience by providing viewpoints that are often masked by society. He follows the book pretty close so pay attention. He is not an easy teacher but are we here to learn or to earn a check on the attendance sheet? He is hilarious and loved by most!
not helpful like to talk about sex alot and not enough about what was going to be on the test he is a complete waste of time
He is an excellent teacher. Never once wanted a dull moment. I can compare it to going to a comedy club. If you take his class be ready to laugh, think, be heckled, and offended. He is really good at making the information real world and practical so I wouldn't get too caught up in the text. DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS! I
If you have a brain in your head you'll like Dr. Romero. He keeps lectures interesting and tries to apply concepts to current events. Fantastic dude. Many times he has after-class study sessions that are not announced to the class. Ask about them and attend if you can. You won't regret taking this fellow.
You have to get used to his teaching style, it is unique. He picks on students and talks about inappropriate things, but it is all in good fun. he knows what he is talking about it and even though he sounds very unpolitically correct, he's exposing you to different views. Not for the easily offended and weak.
remember: freud does not kill kurtz
One of my Heros!
he's really funny, his class definately isn't boring. . .BUT. . .he doesn't really teach you anything that's going to be on the test. . .if u want to get an A on his tests. . .YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK! so if you're not a reader. . .don't take this class, i think he focuses more on making people laugh then actually teaching stuff, and when he does start teaching you something, he'll stay on that same topic forever, it's a fun class, but you won't learn much for the tests unless you read
Great class. Recommend it to everyone out there.
I don't like Mr. Romero as a teacher he is a **** that likes to talk about sex a lot. I wonder why do they let somebody teach that way. YUK
Best teacher I have had. He is a little intimidating at times and will put you on the spot, but if you stick with it, you will get a lot out of the class. Plus, the tests are not easy, but he wants you to pass and will usually either let you take a make up or give you some answers, and let you drop your lowest test score, etc.
He is a rather odd fellow with a different method for teaching. He picks on just about everyone and asks personal questions. The tests are rather difficult mainly because he lectures one part of a whole. It is a fun class to go to, you never know what to expect, and he has great relationships with his students. You just need to get used to him.
He adds too much ****ion to his lectures.

Dr. Romero is up there as one of the best at RCC. He is totally misunderstood. Yes, read the book and have fun listening to him in class. After many years have gone by, I still remember his amazing ability to reach students.
do not take this class if you are wanting to learn. he does not teach psychology or anything important for that matter. he gives away automatic A's to students that will reveal their sexual orientation. he is innappropriate, and becuase of him, i have second guessed the true meaning of a PhD.
Dr. Romero is an excellent instructor, but he expects a lot out of his students. Preparation for the test is difficult because you are responsible for every work spoken in class as well as every word in the text. Very tough, but he's funny and enthusiastic.
Psych 33 has changed the way I look at people and even though the tests were extremely hard and he did said a lot **** things, it was still an interesting class. I got an A when I should have gotten an F, he really sees the potential in his students.
Romero is a character. His class is very interesting- he does give out automatic A's a lot for strange things. He talks a lot about his personal views on life- but its really funny and kind of eye opening. Though it wasnt the best PSYCHOLOGY class ive ever taken it was very interesting just because of Romero. He is intimidating on the first day

Cool guy but he hardly stayed on the subject, and tests were incredibly hard, and didnt follow the book.
Great teacher!
Romero is not a traditional teacher. Your grade is based on your performance on the 5 or so periodical exams. He never pushes you to learn at all. All he does is let you know that learning is your choice & that this world is full of people that don't make the choice. Do something that will show him you want to learn and he'll treat you well.
He was very deep in his lectures, interesting at times, however his grading was not very interesting.

not your ordinary teacher. two ways to do good in class, study the material assigned or ask/answer in-class questions and you'll get some sort of auto-matic grade on an exam...Very interesting class and I reccomend this if you want a grade to boost your gpa.
very intimidating, talks off subject a lot.
Definitly a unique character. Lectures are very interesting. The semester I took him, all you had to do was jump out the window to get an A in the class! But, it was apart of his lecture and theory in psycology. Wonderful teacher.
Hard, but interesting.
I took him last spring... I enjoyed his class...He did not want his students get low grade....wonderful!!
Winner of FLAKE of the year award! A forlorn, detestable, cynical, despicably obscene, manipulative, two faced jester with pseudo Phd who shirks his responsibilities and loves sickafantic suckups. Please, don't satisfy him by taking any of his classes.
FUNNIEST TEACHER EVER!! I strongly reccomend you take this class. If you pay attention you can get an automatic A just like that!! Tests are a bit hard but if you read the book you'll be good. He's super funny and keeps you entertained, He calls himself ELlGUAPO...which is intresting for a guy whos half asain to say.
Mr. Romero talkes very obsene. I really don't enjoy his lectures at all. Somebody just has to report this teacher, a teacher like that should not even be teaching.
I absolutely LOVED Mr Romero. One of the funniest teachers I have ever had. Dont take him if you are easily offended but I VERY STRONGLY recomend him.
wooh! there was never a dull moment! fun!!!
he is hilarious omg i was never bored in his class. we need more instructors like this!!!
Mr. Romero is insane. But you'll never be bored in his class. Come prepared to participate/with questions. His use of profanity is frequent and he WILL offend everyone. But he grades on the curve and hands out automatic a and b like candies. He goes off material a lot, but even with that you will leave his class feeling like you learned something
Romero is a unique and one of a kind professor. He allows his students to see psychology in a different perspective. He is a very entertaining professor, yet he maintains an environment for learning. He is a great professor and is highly recommended. If you get offended easily, don't take him. He will not sugarcoat anything!that's what makes him grea
I took Psych 9 twice before and failed both times. I took it with Dr.Romero and it was a breeze. Hes very funny. If you are open minded you will enjoy this class. Most of your grade consists of about 4 big tests, which he lets you take home and do...:) Atleast thats what he did for my class. I got an A!
you either like him or you dont.
Professor Romero sits there and talks about the University this the University that... I found that he made me feel like I was still in high school and could never compete with the "University kids" if he loves it so much then whey is he at RCC? Who knows, but his Automatic A BS. I learned nothing in this class. dont take him!
Promotes a well thought out teaching theory that throws alot of paper addicts off. He wants us to actually think and grow... Instead of just memorize the material so we do good on the test. Classes are discussion based, chapter readings are expected as outlined strictly in the syllabus. He is definitely controversial but only to stimulate thought.
best teacher i ever had. funny as heck. and we barely did anything!
He was a wonderful teacher, i enjoyed it for my last class at RCC
not for the average student obsessed with a normal class structure, he teaches in a very unique way that all should experience, i am surprised at the low rating for him
Romero does not lecture based off of the textbook. He goes beyond it and applies the theories to actual cases, mainly in current events. If you truly want to understand psychology, I recommend this class. His tests are hard and do require that you study from the book, but it was worth it. Don't take his class if you cannot handle offensive humor.
one of the best and funniest teachers at rcc. he doesnt lecture from the book or talks about the course. So reading is a must, very funny and down to earth. and extremely hilarious!!
You either like him or you dont.
I've had Romero for two semesters and he considers me his star pupil. I'm involved with him in EC activities. His class consists of YOU thinking on YOUR OWN. According to Romero, you make your own education. That's what his class is, and I couldn't agree more.
Romero's lectures interested me all semester long. if your the type of person who goes to class just to get a grade, hes not this type of professor. youll actually learn something other than memorizing it. Remember only 1 percent of learning is in a class room, the other 99 percnet is on your own. if you like this, Romero is the teacher for you.
If you like listening to a total downer ramble all class period about how the best thing about each day is that we're one step closer to death, this is the class for you. That really is just the tip of the iceberg regarding his pointless lectures. You really need not listen to anything he says because its just biased. See past his head games. Read!
i LOVE this guy!! you can count on always having interesting class discussions. there is never a dull moment in Romero's class!
Funny teacher! I wish I would have known to ask many questions because he will give out automatic a's and b's. So just know he does have a sense of humor that can be harsh, but don't take anything to heart. His tests are kind of hard, but it is good to read the chapters too before class, you will understand more! I really enjoyed the class.
I have taken Romero for 3 out of my 5 required psychology classes. I wish he taught them all. He does not teach conventionally, that is what I love about him. His class is not about how much you can memorize but how you apply it to real life. If you don't like to earn your grade take someone else. Looking to actually learn psychology take him!!!!
He is definately not your typical teacher. His lectures go off on many different tangents but he teaches very well. I learned a lot from this class. Class participation is a must!!! He gives automatic test grades if you participate well. GREAT TEACHER!
this professor is not really good when it comes to teaching. plus, the way he teaches is so out of control. when i was in this class, it seems like im in an anatomy class. what is a fetus? omg! second, this class is not money friendly class because he will require you to buy the book, 2 small books, and a cd worth $40.in total alomost $160 in books
awesome teacher!! Going to class isn't mandatory, but it's definitely better if you do. Class participation and good questions = automatic A's. He's not so much into making you memorize, but applying it to real life. Fun class
Romero is an excellent psychology professor. He doesn't teach out of the book and he gives automatic test grades if you participate in class. Basically to succeed in his classroom you need to know how to apply yourself and BE LITERATE.
His class is not hard at all. He expect you to read on your own 99% but he explain things well. He pretty easy on testing most of the time we have to ask for open book and he will let us vote = yes. He is very funny and different from other professor, but he has his own way of teaching and i see the world with different perspective now. easy A
If you don't plan on participating in class, don't take Romero....unless you plan on reading and comprehending the text book 100% of the time. He doesn't talk about the material and when he does he'll talk about 1 page out of 10 in a chapter. Be prepared to be a self learner here. Does give out Automatic grades, must be outspoken to get those.
frickin insanely awesome class
best professor of my college career thusfar. romero is intelligent and witty; sure his lectures don't always stick to the book but that's okay. it's the students' job to read the material outside of class anyway and romero teaches way more than the book could ever have to offer.
Romero is freaken awesome!Took him for 3 yrs. of psych and he has made them my best 3 yrs. of taking any college course!if your into psychology this class is for you!Even if your not, he is a very intelligent man, although he does seem a little weird, its all for fun!Recommend this class highly
If you want to learn psychology, do NOT take him. Gives out automatic grades all the time-all you need to do is ask a stupid ? He uses vulgar vocab and biased racial comments: calls UCR a "chinese republic" school. He tries to manipulate you with grades. He wates all of class talking about his OPINIONS, as if anybody cares! He shouldn't be teaching
Great class. Made the time enjoyable.
UNCONVENTIONAL! engages critical thinking (more than ENG 1B)and challenges you. Funny guy, if you dont mind vulgarity. will grab your attention and engages you but can/will make you feel like a mental midget. glad i took him, opened my eyes and gave me insight about myself, evn though I was not interested in the course and only took because req.
he is one of the greatest teachers I have came across outside of the military. you will either love his class and get an A or hate his class and fail.
he is very funny. makes the class less boring. i love hw he talks about current events. leaves u alone to do ur own work though. not very helpful. you have to be on ur toes all the tym. he doesnt talk about stuff in the book. not even the term in the book. oh well, he is alright. a very interesting character. take him if u want a non boring teacher
One of the worst professors I've had. He makes a good effort with humor, but his lessons are difficult to keep up with. His assignments and tests are very strange and hard to keep up with because by the time you figure out what's going on it's difficult to keep up. In my honest opinion, the only reason he is still teaching is because of his tenure.
PSY1. High text use. Lectures only on 1or2 topics a meeting. All homestudy! Not exaggerating! You must study nonstop to pass. In my class, he gave tons of opportunities on test to answer/ask ?s to get auto B grade. Entertains but requires critical thinking. Tough! Tough! class. Be prepared to work, seriously! I got auto-Bs to pass w/a B.
One of the worst teachers I could have ever had. All he talked about was all of his previous marriages and his sex life. His humor was also inappropriate and would bash on the couples in the classroom. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!
I love this guy.His exams are long 50 mult. choice ?s that r all found in the book if u do the reading & he usually gives u the quest w/the answer during class.lectures dnt really help so u have 2 read.he doesn't care if u go 2 class or not.he loves it when u ask quest. and if u ask enough he'll give u and automatic B on the exam.
Fun way to learn, gotta study hard though--if you didn't like the class you should have dropped it and not moan and complain. Anyways, great teacher.
I loved this teacher. He doesnt care if your there or not, you either want to learn or not. I recommend him, you HAVE to read the book on a daily basis and have questions ready, especially on test days. He gives out automatic B's and sometimes A's. I wasn't doing well but at the end of class he sits down with everyone and he gave me a B!
STAY AWAY!!! HE IS THE WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. HE SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO TEACH!!!
had to drop the second day of class
You have to read the book to learn anything. Don't expect anything useful from him. He's just there to entertain himself. Be prepared for crude humor. Shave your head and get a B on the test.
Don't listen to people that bash him! He is an amazing professor and his motto is "1% of learning happens at school, 99% is your responsibility". which is very true! you cannot expect a teacher to spoon-feed you everything! that ends up as a boring lecture! his class is ALWAYS entertaining, interesting and ALWAYS connects to the outside world.
I LOVE HIS CLASS.
have to read the book to pass the class. jane erye is a must read to pass one of the tests. he talks about nothing the entire class session. easy tests if u read the book.
One the most interesting professor I ever had. I really enjoy going to his class because of his lectures. He lectures you about real life developmental psychology and its HILARIOUS. rarely lecture by the book so your own your own there. Exam every 2 weeks, 1 group presentation, and 3 small books you have to read and short essay question for it.
I love you Romero.
Make no mistake this is not an easy class. You will have to work for your grade. Romero's lectures don't go by the book but are fun and interesting because he uses real life examples. Test require you to do more than just memorize but analyze apply book knowledge to real life examples. Great teacher though. You'll learn a lot.
i havent finished his class yet but im surei m at a D right now since we only taken one test ha, but he is very interesting he might not talk about what we need to cover for the test but he is interesting lol.
I aced it and will never return
Romero is one of a kind. His class is not easy but if you add to lecture in class and get 'automatic grades' on tests you will sail through the course. I only took one test all semester. Take any extra credit opportunities. I learned alot from his class but nothing that was on the tests. Tests and class discussions are completely different.
Yes, gives automatic grades out, but not everyone gets a chance to get one. You have to read AND know the book from cover to cover and his lectures are funny but not related to what is on the test. You have to study the whole chapter for the test because he gives no reviews. Its rediculous how he gives lectures likes to put people down.
he is a awesome teacher, no lie he is a hard teacher he is fun and interesting. I learned he likes to read a lot of books that was really interesting. He plays with your mind a lot, mainly to get rid of the weak minded people XD i would recommend you his class but only if you stick all the way with it. even if your failing the class take it till th
Really knows his material well and wants students to know it beyond just repeating it like parrots. Often gets distracted with his own stories so spend time outside of class learning the material
awesome teacher. do your reading! ask for help in his office or after class and you'll ace the tests.
he's not a very good professor; he doesn't really teach you anything. he doesn't really even lecture; occasionally he'll review what's in the book, but most of the time he uses his time and energy to talk crap about various things. it's beyond easy to pass his class, though--he literally asked me what grade I wanted and he gave me what I told him.
You cannot let your mind wander in this class bc he WILL randomly call on you multiple times throughout the sem. great professor! Funny and fair. Don't take anything he says too personal and you'll be ok. Honestly I think one of the best prof i've had in my two years..take him if you are serious, interested in the subject, and willing to LEARN
I loved this teacher and his class. If you are open-minded and don't take what he says personally, you will love it too. You must read, study and listen but isn't that what a higher education is all about?
He tends to rant on about current events and shows how they are relivent to develpment. Interesting, very interesting. Don't take his opinion to heart, and be on your toes. READING IS A MUST! He chooses not to go over much in the book in class, you have to do it on your own time. Don't miss a class!
It was pointless to go to his lectures, he just rambled on about random stuff that had nothing to do with the tests. Everything came from the book and some questions were quite specific and difficult to recall from reading. He didn't even grade my final, we just had to go to his office and tell him what grade we thought we got. What a quack.
His class is structured by you learning on your own, and him answering questions. The only problem with asking him a question is he goes to deep into the topic, and it takes up alot of the class time. Even then, you better listen to him intently whenever he's not yammering on about his opinions since the tests require deep analysis of examples.
You do need the book because 1. he will call you out on it. 2. Youre going to to alot of self study so dont even bother thinking that you will learn something from the lectures. However, there is a trick in passing this class by reading the book at least some parts of it n if you ask a question before/day of quiz day he will give u a B on the quiz
Though sometimes his stories were funny, I did not learn much.
I really like Romero, but do not expect to learn ANYTHING from his lectures. Its obvious to me that he is burned out, and is no longer interested in teaching, but enjoys the paycheck. He's very funny, and he really helped out some students on a personal level, but don't expect him to do that for you.
READ the material!! He is a crack up.. don't take things personal. Ask questions!!! Most important - stay after your final and go over your grade with him.. he is a tricky one so keep track of your grades!
This man is a crack up!!! I enjoyed going to class, his lectures were funny however never on topic with what we were studying. READ THE BOOK!!!!!! and study your tail off.
Funny!!! keeps class entertaining!
funny
Romero is a great teacher! He makes you think. Very intelligent and a good man. I don't agree with him 100% of the time but never the less he is amazing. Don't take his class if you are lazy and dont want to work for your A bc you wil be reading a lot!!! But his class experiance is something that will stick with you well after the class is over!
this professor is just an entertainer, he always is off topic going on about the war, talking dirty 24/7. He rarely talks about the content in the book, but IF he does he explains it well, but that's rare cause he's always off topic. you don't need to come to class, just read EVERYTHING in the chapters and you'll do good. (tests are HARD)
A great assest for information, OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM. Inside, a freakin' clown. All over the place. Encourages abstract thinking, awsome, but grades on concrete concepts/concepts
gives out grades on the spot IF you ask a decent question. you MUST read the book to pass tests. notes are useless as he only talks about 5% of psychology. might have to read other books too. might as well be an online class.
I got an A. Read the book. Understood the material. Spent a lot of time on the online tests.I learned A LOT from the book...nothing from Romero. He spends the whole lecture yammering on and on about irrelevant topics. He does give out grades at the end of the semester, but only if you go to his office hours. I never went.Tests = exact book content.
Great professor. He says from the 1st day of class that he will give you 1% and you will get the other 99% on your own, and this is true. He goes off on current events but if you pa attention they relate to the class. Do the lab study guides and the online tests and you will be set for his tests. Also PARTICIPATE IN CLASS! This will could toward yo
I recommend this professor.
He is hilarious. But very harsh and discouraging. Though you truly earn the grades u get. Must read the book or you will fail because he doesn't go over everything that you need on the test. Very intelligent man but I would recommend him as a comedian, not as a professor.
Best teacher in RCC... He might seem hard in the begging but there no-one else that helps students as much as he does... Someone wrote that he is discouraging the truth is that he is the complete opposite... he is always trying to motivate you but on his way... BEST TEACHER PERIOD
He is interesting, interact and you will get automatic grades. Get a few and you are set the rest of the class. Do your hw and study for the tests they are hard.
Extremely smart. The best professor I have had so far, read the book and apply yourself. Ask for help if you need it. He differentiates between the students who deserve to go to college and the idiots who should work in fast food and fosters the growth of the former. Highly recommended
Wonderful Professor, his classes teach you more about life than just reading and learning definitions from the book.
He doesn't use opencampus even though the class is a hybrid class. The website he uses requires a code from a new textbook to acess the site, no lecture the first day, and a test the second day. I emailed him asking if a used book would work for the website, and he never replied. Don't take his class it's a ate of money and time!

Mr Romero is a true character. Although his lectures may not be productive towards a better grade in his class, they are some of the most insightful, intellectually invigorating discussions i've experience at RCC. Don't be lazy, study on your own time, come prepared with your own questions on the text, and you will do fine.Once in a life time class
Easiest B I have ever received. Just participate in class, ask good questions and you will get on his good side. At the end of the year he will ask what grade you deserve and if he likes you he will stick to the grade you have chose.
Awesome professor. Vastly intelligent man, if you can get over his eccentricity. He has a brash personality, no doubt, but if you ask a lot of questions, try your best, and study a lot, you will emerge with no lower than a "B".
So far I've been very confused with this professor. he doesn't have any lesson plan, power point, or pretty much anything that he teaches off of. Most of the time he makes inappropriate comments about men and women. He is different than any professor I've had. his class can be fun, but as far as learning about the class... i think he should retire
His act honestly gets tiresome after a while. He's surprisingly approachable after class if you come to him, but why want you. He is funny, but he's not that great of a teacher, and his edgy schtick is a complete act. He is a cell phone using soft spoken guy out of class. This would be nice if he actually taught things of value in class.
Prof Romero is very different than most professors I've had at RCC. Took his PSY1 hybrid during summer and while I got a B, I don't think I'd take his class again. His humor is borderline inappropriate and he makes some comments (mostly about race) that he shouldn't. Prepare yourself to study; ALOT. Tests aren't easy unless you've done so.
Mr. Romero is a straight up man. While some people don't understand his tactics, he encourages participation. He loves to use psychology and apply/demonstrate its purpose to everyday situations. A lot of people don't like it. I understood it. Tell it like it is, why lie. I got alot from this class, and u can to if u study and challenge yourself
He is more of an entertainer than a teacher. However, his class sessions were interesting and went by quickly. I didnt learn anything for any of the tests in class. It was a hybrid class- so my own reading and practice tests taught me more than the actual class discussions. I would totally take his class again for the entertainment value.
ROMERO IS AMAZING! he gives otu automatic grades. sit in the frotn row and participate he will love you. I took one test in this class and got a b. granted his class is hard and he doesnt lecture about the actual test material so it maybe very frustrating knowign you have to show up. but he does give higher graades to people who attend :) TAKE HIM!
Not really much of a teacher at all. It's pretty much showing up to class just so you can sit there during his offense and obscure jokes. How this guy is a teacher is beyond me. Hardly goes over the material, everything you do is from the book. Might as well pay the textbook a salary instead of him. Take it if you just want to do tests & not learn
He is very eccentric and if you can understand how he operates you will like him. He doesn't have lesson plans, he brings in real life cases and wants us to take what we have learned so far to discus the case. sit in the front and participate and he will give u a b even if u do bad on tests, he makes u take them but doesn't really grade them.
He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you do your reading, you will see every "tangent" he goes off on relates to the book. He forces students to think instead of memorizing a book. He's a brilliant teacher, always trying to enlighten his students about the real world they will be facing and trying to prepare you for them.
Best teacher I've ever had. To get a great grade, you should talk to him and visit him in office hours to discuss material. Great in-class discussions and very funny. :)
His easy
I took the class online. He call a very helpful unofficial class meeting. This brought everyting into clarity for me. He was very helpful. I wished I'd taken his class in person. His test were obscure for me, but I managed to get a "C" in the class. I was okay with that. I boomed alot of test.
Would never take his class again. Although I did pass and he makes it very easy to pass his class, you take nothing from it. Goes off topic and nothing said in the lecture is on the exam.
If you like working on your own, do it but with psychology it gets very complicated so i suggest to get a teacher that goes into details more and actually lectures about the book, his lecture doesnt invole much of whats he speaks on. If you like working completely on your own you may enjoy his class.
FANTASTIC! His lectures are fascinating - I loved EVERY CLASS. He has a HUGE fund of knowledge and really likes to engage students. You MUST be an adult and read the book! If you want a dry, boring teacher to just drone on and on from the book, don't take him. If you want a teacher who will WAKE YOU UP and make it RELEVANT to your life, TAKE HIM!
I loved his class, all you need to do is read the book! His personality is worth showing up to class for. I am considering taking another one of his psy classes if available.
great professor, very flexible. the only reason i did bad is because i couldnt adapt in the first year, I was surprised I got B
Romero might come off as a little crazy but I love his personality. I had him for a hybrid class and we took a quiz every week and a test every 3 quizzes. STAY ON TOP OF TEST DATES. DO NOT MISS A TEST. This was pretty much a independent class if you do what you're supposed to you should be fine.
If you want to take a class and not learn anything from the professor getting paid to teach you, then take Romero's class. During lecture hours he has nothing to say about the actual material. He'll drone on wasting everyone's time talking about irrelevant subjects. Don't take if you are truly in college to learn.
Hybrid class during the winter. He expects you to essentially memorize random statistics in the text that might be relevant to the topic at hand. All he is is a pathetic attempt to combine Freud and George Lopez. He's funny and entertaining, but you are unlikely to learn anything from him.
This guy goes of on tangents and if he doesnt have an answer for a question he just goes around it...gives dumb information rarely relevant to the class
Romero was the worst professor I have ever taken. He does not teach he just talks about irrelevant topics that don't relate to the class. The first day of class he gave us the wrong URL for his hybrid class and then he blamed us for his mistake. On the last day he was confused about our grades and expected us to figure them out. Don't take him.
This professor says rude remarks too much. He called UCR, "little chinatown." He said that some of the US military bases look like they have been taken over by Africa. He's made fun of white people and then, he tries to educate the class about how everyone who is not mexican can leave CA because mexicans were here first. on psy... very little.
I absolutely LOVED this class. Romero is hilarious and he understands this material so well. If you don't have an open mind, I don't suggest taking it because apparently some of his jokes are taken offensively. You definitely need the text book. It's a MUST HAVE. This class was a great way to start my day.
Primarily he is a confident, rude, funny, & sarcastic person. Throw away your syllabus b/c he doesn't abide by it. You will NEVER take tests on dates present on Syllabus, even if you spent hours studying. I learned nothing! Do not take if you want to expand knowledge, take if your lazy and willing to participate in his antics for automatic grades.
don't take him
Taken many online classes at RCC, this was the worst. Professor doesn’t teach at all. Gives only tests with insane time limit. Terrible communication and arrogant attitude. If you email him, don’t expect much support. Don’t take this class! GPA killer.
Tests were ridiculously hard with a difficult time limit. Make sure to study very hard! Everything in that class is important towards your grade. Plus, don't expect much help from him if you email him questions.
I took him online over winter and had taken several Psych classes previously. That being said he was the worst. Test every week with a very tight time limit. You have to read the book and since it was a textbook reading 150+ pages is rough. Take notes on what you read and take the practices quizzes. This class is hard, but not impossible if you are willing to put forth the effort (received a B). Read, read, read and expect exam questions on the smallest fact thrown into the book.
PLEASE PLEASE save yourself and dont take this "professor". Took him for an online course yet he made us attend class if we wanted participation points. WAIT, WHAT? Why not make it a hybrid class? He made us go to him at the end of the semester and explain why we deserved an A. Worst prof ever.. PS Test limit for 50 questions is 50 minutes. Yeah...
If you are easily offended by a little off the wall humor than don't take him. If you can brush stuff off and act like an adult his class is the easiest A you'll ever earn. Just read the chapters and show up for the class, and don't forget to take the tests online at home, and you'll do great. This is an intro psy class, so take it for what it is.
DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE A PSYCH MAJOR. Talks about off topic subjects misses quizzes the syllabus means nothing. You never know whats going to count and whats not. Easily manipulated by students. Arrogant and vulgar. By the end I was over the crazy convos and left class feeling like I had learned only from the textbook. His class is a waste.
This professor is a joke. Lecture is a waste of time. Expects you to perform on tests he doesn't prepare you for. If you are a slacker, take this class to get a free B or C. If you're an A student, risk getting a B because he gives automatic B's even if you studied hard and could have gotten an A. Expect to teach yourself by reading book.
This class was Hybrid. Recommend you join the literary team for an automatic A. Read the textbook and assigned books (Of Love & Other Demons). Finish all online work, IT HELPS ON THE FINAL. RECORD all your TEST SCORES and work on the journal. Talk to him after class because he's interesting. I recommend him!
Mr. Romero is a great and funny professor that makes his lectures fun and memorable. He tries to get his students involved so they can learn the material. I earned a C, but I know if I would of been more focused and determined my grade could of been a lot better. You will learn a lot of interesting things in all of his lectures.
He has quizzes in class and has discussion boards & quizzes due online once a week. Its a lot of easy work if you don't it. He's likes to joke and comes off very strong with his jokes. Once you get past his jokes he is actually pretty cool. He will give you the benefit of the doubt as long as you do well and go to class every week.
With all honesty, I hated this professor. Not only does he get off topic with his "jokes," but also doesn't explain too well. There really is no homework due in his class or assignments. The point of this class is reading and memorizing. Test are hard. Took him twice, failed both classes. Really disliked his way of teaching.
Took Psy 1 Hybrid class. I honestly did NOT do ANY work at all and passed with a B. Yes you read that correctly. All this teacher wants is for everyone to participate & talk with one another and ask questions. The more everyone does that, the easier the quizzestest. He is hilarious btw. Not to mention he even walks out of class during exams. EASY!
exams was really hard. In general he has a lot of knowledge. You got to get good grades in all those tests, otherwise he wont give you good grade for final. lots of on line work you need to do. tests are all timed which was tough.
This class was an easy A. He goes off on a lot of tangents and doesn't really answer questions very well because of this. If you read the text and study, you will do well. He is very reasonable. He has a sense of humor that some might find tasteless.
The saving grace of this rather confusing course was that at the end of the semester Romero allows each student to tell him what they believe their grade to be, if he agrees, then that's your grade. I witnessed his approval on every students proposal including my own. (However if you state you should receive an A, then you must provide proof )
Extremely easy course. If he stays distracted for the entire period he will give automatic B's on any test taken that day. Not very efficient at teaching the material in class and his tests are difficult if he gives them to you. He is funny and if you ask him in depth questions he will help and possibly give extra credit for it. Easy B, read for A.
At first, I debated whether I should stay in the class. But towards the end, I really enjoyed the class. Participation and asking questions is key to making class sessions resourceful. Read the book and you'll pass. Do not take this class during summer or winter session. There is too little time and too much material to memorize and comprehend.
You want an A, you must read every chapter of the assigned Developmental Psychology book, Of Love and Other Demons, & participate in the Blackboard discussions. Quizzes are so easy (if you read the material of course). The final was online and it's a guaranteed A if you have access to the E-Book. Keep track of all the extra credit you earn.
Well, easiest B ever. However he is so indecisive and just in general confusing in what he wants. He really WANTS participation but assigns other work which he never grades, you answered a question right in lecture? automatic B for you. Would I take him again? No, you never know if you should do the assignment or not bc he might never grade it
This class is ridiculous. He doesn't teach anything himself, it is all out of an online book course and he grades super hard from information not even found in the book. Currently working by butt off for a C.
The subject itself is very interesting but I highly recommend selecting another professor. His lectures are absolute nonsense. He is not specific about anything, and he definitely chooses favorites. We were told to spend over $75 on an online program that turned out to have nothing to do with our grade. He is also pretty offensive.
Really easy class, read the book and you'll get an easy A. Don't cheat, he has a spy in his classes to tell him who cheats.
Romero is a wise professor, beyond the psychology he knows, he actually likes to have discussions about life issues. Sometimes he can be a bit inappropriate with his jokes but I've take 2 classes with him and he's fair in his grading I learned about psychology but I also learned about life.
The grade depended solely on tests with no other assignments and no instruction in test preparation. He provided little guidance in his expectations for students. What direction he did provide was very confusing. Also, Romero was extremely difficult to get hold of. He gave the impression that he didn't care about the success of his students.
taking this class in the winter was the hardest thing I have ever done! he is really funny and likes when people speak up. he gives extra credit all the time! he likes when you post on blackboard. but you do need to read if you want to pass the class. I did terrible on all my test and he gave me a C for my overall grade. I wouldn't take him again.
A very difficult class to take. For a student who has a very committed work ethic, passing with a good grade is a possibility. If you are not very self motivated, this class will be very hard. The professor doesn't do much to teach the class himself, so you'll have to read quite a lot to understand what is going on. Good with giving extra credit.
You really have to do the readings yourself and make the effort to speak up or speak to him after class to get anywhere with this course. The quizzes he gives on the readings are fairly easy as long as you read. Yes, he swears a lot and his sense of humor is crude, but it makes the class go by so fast. I got a C in the end due to my own slacking
great teacher have taken two different class with him about to take my third as long as you read and participate in class its an easy A
One of the best instructors I have ever had. Just pay attention and participate
Romero's a very cool teacher. Teaching style is one of his own, but once you get used to it you will realize he is trying to get you to really understand the material and have a sense of urgency. If you read the material and do the discussion posts you will follow along nicely. 4 exams, written exam, and participation are the most important.
Romero is a piece of work, he doesnt lecture on the material, you're responsible for reading the chapters and coming to class with scantrons (his tests are only 20 questions) he teaches more about life than psych, which was kind of cool, throughout the semester you know what to expect as days go on. dont rec. him if you dont like crude humor.
He does not explain the material well, expects you to know the material with out explanation. He curses a lot. There is a ridiculous amount of reading. His lectures consist of you lecturing him and if you do not understand be prepared to get picked on. His attitude is very arrogant. If you memorized the whole book, you will "probably" pass.
He's a really great teacher once you get past his humor. He's definitely not your typical teacher, but he really makes you think about life in a whole new perspective. He keeps the class really interesting and the time pretty much flys by.
If you can't handle his class, don't call yourself a psych major. He is not a typical take notes kind of teacher. Yes, you do have to read and they're quizzes which i didn't do so well on myself, but he let me pass because of who I am. If you show him you are not an idiot you will pass. He does have a shocking sense of humor.
Attended every class, got good grades on every quiz. I got a 100% on the written final (there was an in class literature final and an online curriculum final), yet put an 80% in the grade book. His incompetence left me with a B instead of an A. KEEP TRACK OF YOUR GRADES ALL SEMESTER. Call him out on his mistakes when it comes to your grades.
In general, this class could have been very easy if I did the work and read all the material. His online class is a simple few quizzes which you will do bad in no matter what if you don't do the reading. He was very understanding and replied to all my messages. A textbook code is required to register online, but there is an online reading program.
It is terrible to take his class. He is not replying your email until your second email. I got B grade in average, but because of his non-scene judgement. He asked me to take the final exam again with his presence because I got a high score on my final exam, but he knew that I am out of states. Ridiculous!
Study for quizzes they are like 75 % of your grade Do online learn smart homework if you want the extra 14 points
I had him for an online course and I honestly do not recommend him if you're the type of student that is always concerned about certain things on the syllabus or anything online. He never responds to any emails I've sent him plenty of emails, and not once he has gotten back to me, the semester is over already! If you decide to take him good luck!
Keep up with quizzes because at the end of the semester he asks for your grade. Show up for class to take quizzes because they count for a lot of your grade. Horrible lectures. Take him at your own risk.
Attendance isn't mandatory, but you sign next to your name on the roll sheet for credit. Online quizzes and in-class quizzes once a week. Three books to read--one book you will write a final essay on. Be careful: you still could get an F after showing up every day & being apart of the final debate. I do not recommend--he's messy & vulgar. Stay away
Quiz every week as well as online quizzes. He told us to buy 3 books but we only used one (for the final). And these were novels not textbooks about psychology. Assigned people grades for this final without even taking a legit test. He asks you what you think your grade is at the end of semester so keep track. Hardly lectures about psychology.
Rarely gives explanation to anything he is talking about. You can show up to every class and still be confused. He wants the class to know all the material without him actually teaching it. He is over the top inappropriate, vulgar, and rude. He seems to like picking on people that don't have his sense of humor obviously making them uncomfortable.
Professor Romero is awesome ! I do not understand how anyone could give a negative review. Students need to apply what they learn. The class is not intended to be simple .... its psychology !! Think outside of the box. Romeros instruction is as raw as it gets. Apply yourself and the theories and you will do well.
Easy A if you read and take the online quizzes, however, you will not get anything out of this class!!! I do not doubt he is an intelligent man, but, all the learning comes from reading the text on your own, you will not get much out of lecture. I do not recommend unless you don't care much about school and want an easy A.
Dr. Romero is one of the best professors I have taken here at RCC. He can seem rude and opinionated but he has a very unusual way to deliver his message/lecture. As a psych professor he teaches you how to think and use psychology to develop profiles. Expect to read a fair amount because his quizzes are based on the book chapter.
Critical thinking
Professor Romero does not really lecture. If you dont read you wont learn anything. So make sure to read. It is hard to fail.
Lectures go absolutely nowhere, but the class is easy to pass. Spends most of class rambling about his prostate, doesnt talk about psychology almost at all. One of the worst professors ive ever had, wouldnt recommend unless youre okay with sitting in a boring class and getting an easy A.
I took his online PSYCH 1 course. I found it to be straight forward. Just do the reading & assigned material and you will do great. He responds to all your e-mails if you're respectful as you should be. Conduct yourself in a professional manner and you will have no issues.
Prof Romero is a gem! He explains Psychology so profoundly through examples that we can relate to. He makes you think. Doesn't use textbook but doesn't have to. He's available before and after class. Makes you become a better you! You have to participate though and ask questions to understand yourself. Man! He could be the next Jordan Peterson!
best psych. prof. ive ever taken! if I could take his class again I would! you read a chapter every week and when you meet, you go over the chapter that you read and he answers any questions you may have. his lectures are fascinating, they're never boring. he's a good grader, its really hard to not pass the class
The first day in this class was my last day. He was very vulgar and talked about inappropriate topics irrelevant to the course. I couldnt handle that kind of atmosphere, especially in an educational setting. Im diappointed that a professor could behave in such a way.
This professor seems okay at first, but when you ask him questions about your grade, he is clueless on how to check grades or even whats going on in the classroom. He will rant about the same subjects week after week unless the class speaks up and reminds him about the syllabus assignments. I was looking forward to learning something to be honest.
I took his SOC 1 class during Summer and he was an OK professor. The themes of the discussion posts he made us do were a bit ridiculous though and made us talk about gender. This is a touchy subject and although it didn't really bother me I felt second hand embarrassment from other students who didn't morally agree to these certain liberal themes.
He puts people on the spot, rude, talks about irrelevant subjects that are not related to the course. You basically have to teach yourself the material. Would not recommend.
He's unorganized, gets off topic a lot, doesn't really go over any of the material from the textbook, throws out random grades to people, and the work is a waste of time. If you want an easy A, this is the professor for you. You won't learn anything though.
His lectures are very off topic usually and repetitive, you have to read the textbook for quizzes, he gives out random A's for no reason, but besides studying past quizzes and review vocab for your final should land you on at least a B. The class overall is one you shouldn't have to worry about if you just are on time with the online quizzes/essays
Romero is very unorganized and is confusing in general. He goes on personal rants and rarely did we talk about things that pertained to the book or subject in general. He had a ridiculous final written exam that he eventually gave the majority of people C's on without them taking it. It should be easy but he makes everything up to him.
This was my first online class and I thought it would be confusing submitting assignments. There were lots of quizzes that consisted of 25 questions which werent that difficult. Very clear grading.
He confused me big time when I took his class, not only would he get distracted mid sentence, everything he read HAD to have a sexual reference to it. One time he even pulled his pants down showing his chonies to prove a point about which guy would a girl in the class prefer, Harvard or a prison guy. Than contradicted himself about politics
I learned nothing about the class from him. He gives out extra credit like nothing but the final grade was all up to him. He is very inappropriate and his lectures are nothing about the material. Again even if you clearly got an A it is mostly up to him, speak your mind and he will most likely give you the grade you want.
I was very excited for this class, but I wish I could have taken it with another professor. I am sorry to say that I did not learn anything. There are weekly quizzes, discussion posts, and essays (online). The essay grade was auto-generated by the computer, which is upsetting when you answered the prompt appropriately. lectures always off topic...
If you actually want to learn something, take another professor. Although he was a funny character, his lectures were mostly off topic and inappropriate. He is more concerned about where our water comes from then about the course material. Its a very easy class to pass, but if you care about actually learning then this isnt the class for you.
Great professor with a love of his subject that he teaches and love for the students
Romero doesn't teach at all. The few things that he teaches are irrelevant. He doesn't give any work so you never have any idea what is going on. He doesn't take anything or anyone seriously. Super unorganized. I'm sure he is a good person but a terrible professor.
If you take his hybrid class you really don't need to go to his class it's not like you'll learn something. Quizes are online and can be found on quizlet. Only like 2 days you should really go to class. Easy A if you do the stuff at home but you won't learn anything about psychology.
This prof ruined a great class. He didn't teach us a single thing about psychology&managed to make every lecture uncomfortable& inappropriate. Girls beware. He asked ppl to share very personal info out loud. This class is only tricky because you have to teach yourself&fight for your grade even if its on canvas. Super unorganized&all over the place.
Easy online class. Discussions are optional. All you have to do is a test (25 questions) once a week. Thats it.
One of the laziest teachers I have ever had. Easy class to pass but you will learn absolutely NOTHING. Hell talk about nonsense that is barely related to the topic all class. CONSTANTLY brings up sex which can be uncomfortable. DO NOT take unless you really have to.
really outgoing can be sarcastic most of the time but its funny. Ive taken two classes with him, he is always willing to cooperate with you. He gives you choices such as if you want to retake a test or everyone just get lets say 30 out of 50 on a quiz. I had to study and learn on my own he gets off topic alot with his lectures
Professor Romero is not a very good teacher, as he often goes off and rambles about topics barely related to the subject at hand. He is funny, but again in terms of teaching he is very lacking. His grading is also very confusing, and his expectations are unclear. His assigned readings are also very irrelevant and a waste of time.
Personally, i got a C because I got low quiz scores early on. I personally dont recommend online courses, but if you work better at home, go for it.
He's inappropriate. Doesnt actually teach! U have to learn on your own and take the online quizzes. Hes 2 lazy to grade so theres no homework or in class tests. The reading novels have nothing to do with the class. Didn't learn anything. He gave me an auto A on the final just for answering a question. Gets upset when class cant answer his odd ?'s.
Hes actually the worst teacher I had so far bro you have to teach and not just give us quizzes I got a low score cuz the damn quizzes no assignments at all
Hes the absolute worst. I read these reviews beigre I took him and I thought maybe it wont be so bad, it was worse than I thought. Horrible grader, doesnt explain why you gives you a low score (even though you do exactly what he asked for), unresponsive, an absolute jerk. TAKE ANYONE ELSE.
If youre not looking to learn anything & just pass the class take him. He doesnt teach anything. All the quizzes are online and multiple choice. You could never show up to his class & still pass with an A.
He does not teach and can't use technology, I really don't recommend him but it's an easy pass. His lectures are funny but you have to do your own teaching and research.
I give this class a 5 difficulty based entirely on his lack of effort making the class a headache. If you are taking his class in person he cares so little you can easily get an A. If you are considering taking his class online, I am telling you DON'T! He doesn't respond to emails or communicate clearly. Save yourself!
I had just started my first year of college. I was in a bad place mentally. I remember one day I came in and he asked me a question. I couldn't answer it. I was humiliated in front of everyone. I had been years, but he was the reason for dropping out of RCC. As a psychologist professor, he's supposed to help students out. He doesn't. Horrible prof.
He literally rambled about unrelated topics like the crazy professor you see in movies and had students google statistics. "Lectures" had nothing to do with the book. You just do what the online book tells you to do and take a weekly test on what you read. Doesn't update grades until after final OR respond to email for weeks. Completely uninvolved.
Professor Romeros teaching methods may seem outside the norm of a typical day in lecture . But the idea is to think outside the regular aspect of thinking and outside bis thinking to help you analyze thinking and actions throughly. The quarantine made life difficult but the course was not harder than it should have been. Thank you Prof Romero!
I honestly do not even know how Romero is still a professor. He rambled on about unrelated topics every time we met. He would constantly humiliate students and make the whole period so unproductive. Worst professor I have ever had. Could not pay me to take his class again!
Professor Romero's class is something to take at least once in your lifetime. He is hilarious and pokes fun while also involving the course. I would definitely take this class again, although the emailing process can be slow- be prepared to be persistent.
This dude was afk and gave his students and co-workers stress 1/10 don't recommend.
Prof Romero has to be the most vague professor ever. Took his class online and let the students figure everything out on our own. The syllabus was not matching with the dates in canvas and when emailing him about it, he also responds with very few words and is still vague about the situation. Don't recommend to take his class if it was an option.
I am currently in his lecture as we speak. He tends to be very unorganized from the first day you will realize how a horrible professor he is. He has notes and the textbook posted online but you are required to do that all on your own in order to pass the quizzes. His lectures are very unorganized and barely touch on the chapters.
To add to what another student had said, this man is highly unorganized. He has a very outdated way of teaching, his lectures never make any sense and he expects you to learn all the material by yourself without any verbal explanation from him. The way he grades will have you STRESSED!! stay away from this man's class!
EASY A but if you really wanna learn psychology take someone else because he won't respond to emails, and he won't post lecture notes or videos. You are basically learning on your own.
Honestly DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! He was very confusing and lazy because he would promise the whole class an automatic A for a quiz but would never put it in. I would say only take him if you just want to pass this class and have no interest in psychology. I will say that he is the reason why I am stricter on choosing my professor now.
I would say if you don't want to learn then this is the professor for you, beware however of the amount of stress he will give you. He is very unclear in his lectures. He didn't give out a final or midterm but rather for the final he had us calculate our grade and go up to help and convince him to bump up our grade. This class was nightmare run!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I took the online class and there was no communication between him and the class. To take the tests you must buy the Mc-Graw Hill e-book which was like $60. Upside is you can just cheat the entire tests using google. There was one assignment at the end which was worth a lot of points that I could not access at all.
He never taught anything in class and makes you buy McGraw Hill and doesn't use it. He won't tell you about assignments and will expect you to know about it. He'll put you in groups and have your group go up and teach the class the lesson even if you don't know it. He'll make you stand up there for the rest of the class while he talks about Vietnam
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS HE IS THE WORST PROFESSOR YOU WILL EVER HAVE 95% of his lectures are unrelated to class material as he loves going off topic about his personal life & could sometimes be inappropriate for his age He expects you to know class material so prepare to teach yourself especially after putting money into a book you'll use for quizzes
I'm writing this a few years after the fact. He is crazy, but in a cool way-like a T.V. show professor. He inspired me to become a teacher, just got my credential. He introduced me to several people that helped my build a professional network. He inspired me to do well in my own education & after his class I got A's for the rest of my education.
