After only 1/2 a semester I have decided to take his Philosophy class as well. He is a fun teacher who listens and tries to involve everyone in class. He is very expressive. I've heard some people in my class say some pretty stupid and immature things and I gotta hand it to Professor Hutton, he treats them with respect. It seems to me that anyone who doesn't like this teacher is looking for an easy grade or someone to treat them better than everyone else gets treated. For the record, I am a minority.

Clark Hutton is a very small calibre man both in stature and basic human dignity. He is remarkably unlikable and is sure to turn what is a fun subject into an absolute drag. You can tell he leads a miserable existence and has now resorted to being insolent in his occupation to compensate for his glaring inadequacies as a man. Laughable and sad.

Hutton has the potential to be an amazing professor as his lectures are well-spoken and interesting; however, all this potential is undermined by his condescending attitude. For teaching a subject best experienced by discussion, Hutton makes it difficult for students to confidently ask questions or state their thoughts without fearing belittlement.

You have to read the assignments and show up for class. He makes this very clear from day one. If you do this you will have no problem in his class. He has an acquired sense of humor but I never found him condescending. He will mess with your mind for sure but it is a critical thinking class. He makes you think. Awesome guy and professor.

40% of the semester grade is made up of 2 essay assignments that are a complete mystery of what the professor wants. I was frequently graded as "not familiar with the assignment" (videos of an actual professor teaching at Harvard) which I had watched up to 3 times each and taken notes. If you don't write exactly what he thinks, then you are wrong.

Professor Hutton's online Intro to Ethics class was easy overall. The assignments were appropriate and interesting, and a weekly discussion post and quiz were due. However, when it came to his midterm and final, his grading was tough. If you participate, you will make an A. I would take another class of his in the future.

I took his online course and his grading is based on what his opinion is , not yours , even though the writing assignments are about how you feel about something! His feedback is condescending and not much help , i wld never take him again , unfortunately he is the only online teacher for this course and I had to take it online!!!

This guy is a smug arrogant sub-human. He brings his personal life, which obviously is pretty pathetic, into the classroom. His attitude and general overview of life is garbage. He shouldn't be anywhere near a college campus. I've seen a lot of horrible people in the world, but not quite one as horrible as this guy. Non caring and classless!!!

If you think your grade is based on who much you agree with him youre dead wrong. Had him for three courses and still dont know what HE thinks about anything! People dont like his attitude. Well, hes a highly educated college professor, not a day care worker. Grow up and be an adult, and youll get along with him just fine!

Grades harshly on opinion questions with no specific reason. Marks off point on exams for not somethings by that time should be considered rhetorical. Someone who should not have the authority to educate anyone. People likely leave this professors class worse than when they had entered. Hands down the worst "educator" I have ever had.

Ridiculously condescending. Tried to ask questions about a failing grade and he 1) wouldn't give me a straight answer and 2) interrupted every time I tried to talk. Take this class from anyone else. He's the dept. chair so your options for appealing your grade are few. I don't know anyone who's gotten higher than a 70, on anything. Steer clear.

This is a class that you have to be dedicated to. If you are relying on a professor to get you the grade you are hoping for, then you have some self-reflecting to do. If you come to class, do the readings assigned, and take notes, you will do great in his class. He cares for his students and hopes that you will do well.

I read many reviews about Dr.Hutton and after taking his class was shocked at the negative reviews. This was one of the simplest classes I have ever taken. Every week the work was the same setup My only critique would be is that there was minimal discussions had in that class. Overall super easy and great ethics course.

I was scared going into this class, but I left loving it! Prof Hutton is really passionate and can carry a good convo. I saw reviews saying that he grades based on opinion, which I don't see how that could happen. Online quizzes are open textbook. Exams are written response, but w notes and quizlet they are easy. He grades those a little hard.

I really liked the professor but not the class(I personally dont see any benefit from taking it). I thought he was very funny and personable, he's never intentionally condescending, I feel its more if you don't understand his humor then he comes across that way. He grades based on the info from the textbook not his opinion, but he is a tough grader

Taking this class online wasn't bad. Interesting "Justice" video every week, the content was hard to digest but if you do the work and put some effort into your writing you will do fine. It is a college course, therefore he expects college writing and will hold you to that. Quizzes were fair. Midterm and final were hard. Slow to get grades in.
