Very good, you have to submit paper every wk, but very easy.

Knows the subject inside-out, and gives interesting, real world examples. Encourages discussion. A lot of work, but not overly hard. Open book tests.

Definitely one of the best professors i've ever had. I took her at 7am and she kept our entire class awake. That was a task in itself. Everyone gets an A if you put the work into it!

Excellent teacher. She knows business very well. Instead of just lecturing to the class she relates the work to reality and always asks questions to get the students involved. Tests are fair, take homes and in-class tests are always the class notes.

Shes hot, but its a lotta work and she emphasizes participation so if ur a mute or mime - dont take the class. There are 2 group presentations but shes not a hard grader on those.

Amazing teacher, has so much personal experience which she brings into class. Her workload is not too bad, although u have to do 1-2 articles each week. And 2 group projects. She has open book quizzes. NO TESTS! Very nice lady, always there to help

open book 10-20 question quizzes. just look at the first line of every paragraph and you got the answer. i got an A- and did nothing. class projects (2) are very easy. you have to get ib articles for every thursday, but thats the only work.

One of my favorite classes ever! Her real-life experience helps her to explain everything clearly and concisely. She's very good at answering questions and just really knows her stuff. There's a fair amount of work for the class, so come prepared.

This Professor was one of the greatest I've ever had. She was very helpful and gave alot of opportunities to make up old articles due. It's very hard not to get a good grade in this class.

Cafarelli was an overall good professor. She definitely comes off as a business woman which can sometimes be intimidating. However, the layout of the class was very easy (no papers, no tests). The pop quizzes and group projects were a piece of cake. It was an easy A.

There is a lot of work in this class. She will bring out the best in people as long as they pay attention and follow what she says

She is a very good professor. It's not true that she doesn't take into account your hardwork and effort because she does. If you do your work then you'll have no problems. Also, I took her class at 7am so I was almost always half an hour late for class but I still got an A cause I tried to make up for being late by participating and doing my work.

This class is really easy and interesting, and the professor is mad cool. Keep up with the articles, and spearhead group projects and you'll do fine.

She is full of knowledge. She has you do weekly news clippings which help your grade extremely and is pretty simple. The final was on exactly what she said it would be on. Easy A/B... depending on the effort you put in it.

Good teacher, made the class fun, especially with group presentations. However, assigns a lot of homework, and you can fall behind real quick if you don't keep up with it. She is very helpful, and does care about her students. I would definitley take her, but be prepared to do a lot of work for her class. Did learn a lot.

Very helpful with weekly assignments and let's you hand them in later if you talk to her(analyze a newspaper article per chapter). Extremely knowledgeable in her area and will help you with anything as long as you ask for it.

Good teacher, clippings are hard and you must stay up to date. only one test which is a final that is 100 multiple questions that is online. overall a very good teacher

Awesome professor. Goes out of her way to help you out, explains the material well. 2 group projects, a midterm and a final. Best advice is to make sure you do the newspaper clippings on time, they're annoying but they weigh alot.

Had Prof. Caf for ib 163, ib 150, and global fashion mkting. hands down, best prof in zarb school for biz, prob all of Hof as well. gives a ton of useful real-world experience/advice to accompany course material. if you cant get 90+ on all tests/quizzes, you are a complete lazy idiot. HIGHLY recommend CC for any biz student at Hofstra!!

She is an great professor. Her classes are always interesting and you learn something new everyday. However you have to work hard in her class to get a good grade, but the thing you learn are so helpful to your upcoming courses. She really help me throughout the semester.

First of all she's pretty hot for a prof, i.e nice legs. Assigns a current events article each week that isn't too hard. The two projects were easy and u worked on them online so it was easy to collaborate. She is super helpful and will do what she can to make you understand the class.She is very easy to converse and explain any situation you are dealing with. The assignments are easy as well as her online tests.I entered the class with a "this is just a girly class about clothes" mindset which she completely proved me wrong. very fun class shes great

Professor Cafarelli is AMAZING! This is by far the best class that I have ever taken at Hofstra. Some Friday classes were even optional because she encourages you to take trips to the mall or NYC to look at fashion marketing in person in order to fully bridge learning in the classroom with real world experience. This class changed my life. Take it!

Class isn't necessarily hard, but it can be a little draining. We had to a ton of research in this class, like thorough/scholarly research. Some times this class felt like an internship but you'll def get some real world skills in this class. Prof C's teaching method may be weird at first, but it def works. Plus she's super nice and understanding

Cafarelli is the best. She has a unique way of teaching that works. Learned so much in her class, she defiantly likes to keep her students on their toes by calling on them randomly so be prepared. If you do all the clippings right and take your time out to read the chapters you will do very well in professor Cafarelli's class.

Class seems intimidating at first but it's an easy A. Two group projects, three online tests and no final. Prof's real world experience in IB makes the class informative and interesting.

Taking her online class now and the workload is unbearable, if you don't have 8 hours a day to allocate to this class, don't take it.

Prof Cafarelli does a phenomenal job keeping you focused and interested. She is self motivated and really wants her students to understand and master the work. There are two group projects that a fairly simple and 3 online tests that are very easy. Would absolutely take Prof Cafarelli again and definitely recommend her.

Quizzes were online and open notes. The book is very informative and you learn a lot from the class as a whole. Learning experience came mostly from the three main projects we had to do for class. Learned a lot about electronic marketing from this class and has made me interested in it even more. Take this class as a marketing elective!

Cafarelli is a great professor; she is dedicated to her students learning, succeeding, and being able to apply concepts. The beginning of the semester made the class seem confusing, but after a week, the class structure became clearer: show up, discuss how you feel about the week's topics, do two (long but easy) group projects, and that's about it.

I loved her as a professor. Great projects, great feedback. If you are up to date on the news, then you will do fine. If not, you are going to have a bad time. The textbook will become your best friend and its easy to pull things for the clippings. Im a Geography major and did very well.

Professor Cafarelli is hands down the best professor in the Zarb School of Business. She is so helpful and is always looking for ways to engage her students. She is so well-informed about the business world you can always ask her for advice and help. Class is fun and easy when you do the work. Undoubtedly, would recommend her! Plus she's gorgeous!

She has lots of experience in the industry and she tells you specifically how you can use the skills in the classroom at an internship or future job. I had Professor Cafarelli for Electronic Marketing. She is such a sweet lady and is always available for students, giving good feedback and challenging people further. One presentation, online open book exams, small assignments. Allowed 4 absences unexcused. Inspiring to have a professor currently working in business and she gives career advice.

If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have a job right after graduation. Any class you take, she will help you inside and outside of the classroom especially with all the experience she has.

Great professor & her fashion mkt course is awesome. She allows you the freedom to explore topics which you are interested in, so you are passionate about your work. Best professor I've ever had at Hofstra and this is coming from a junior standing 4.0 Honors student. Trust me on this one, as long as you pay attention and do the assigned work you'll be fine. I can guarantee you will leave the class with knowledge which will come in handy outside in the real world since most topics discussed are current.

Professor Cafarelli is an AMAZING professor. There are no exams but only terminology assessments, which are online. There are 5 clippings and 2 major presentations. She genuinely cares about her students and also provides great feedback if you make the effort to meet with her. Would definitely take a class with her again!

Make sure to take advantage of the resources that Professor Cafarelli offers. She will not only help to improve your CV but also to connect you with companies for shadowing or internship opportunities. There are two longer case study presentations in this course which will improve writing/researching/presenting skills. Definitely recommended

Professor Cafarelli is a very experienced professor, she will teach a lot of marketing insights from someone who still works actively in the field. She really wants to see her students succeed, and is very accessible outside class. If you can, have your marketing class with her.

Great Professor

Professor Cafarelli is a very respected professor in the business department at Hofstra. She's a very approachable and caring teacher and the projects/assignments were fairly easy. However, it is difficult to reach her outside of class. It often took her a bit to respond to emails.

Very respected, kind professor. I was nervous about her BBA100 module, because I heard a lot of bad things. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Prof. Cafarelli has a very clear grading rubric and you can tell she really cares about her students.

Prof. Cafarelli was such a great professor to have for BBA100. Her lectures ACTUALLY teach you. Very specific on what she looks for in her assignment, but has a clear rubric so can't complain. Take her for any class that you can!

Professor Cafarelli provided a clear assignment where she gave multiple opportunities to receive full credit. She is strict but fair. She has a lot of information to give and her lectures are a wealth of knowledge. I definitely would recommend her class and take it again.

Great professor. Gives some info. on marketing only because we have 4 classes in total with her. Only one BBA100 assignment for her section which is not too hard just takes some time to do. I wish the class was longer though.

Very good professor. She allows easier grading for students who submit work early and works gives multiple opportunities for students to receive full credit on their assignments. She can be kinda strict sometimes but it's in a way that prepares students for the business world. Great lectures and is very knowledgeable in her field.

For her first time teaching Social Media MKT I must say she did an exceptional job. The same passion and energy that she presented us with at the beggining of the semester carried throughout. The class taught us about how to incorporate our own personal branding and skills. The simternship was enjoyable. Overall, good experience, few complaints.

Super underrated. My friends don't like her, but I thought she was inspiring and focused on teaching. If you participate early on, she will remember you and she will be nicer to you. I think she is a very serious teacher, but in a good way.
