She is by far the best professor I have ever had in my whole entire life. She is extremely helpful and she is very good with exams. She gives you a break and gives you extra points on homework and adds it to the exams. Every exam we took maximum was always around 120. And literally everyone in the class passed. I recommend her and no one else.

I never understood math but she made it very easy. I agree with most of the comments here that she is VERY PATIENT and explain everything step by step. You have to be an idiot not to understand her. She`s great !! I got A :)

Great Professor. I failed the first time with another professor. I took it the second time with Rizza and got an A+. Very Patient and helpful. Explains every step. Gives homework and counts alot, but its good to do it in order to understand. Text are sometimes openbook.

Wonderful teacher, her exams were simple and she usually used questions from the (non mandatory) homework on tests. She also would give extra credit questions in case we got one or two wrong. Congrats on the baby!

Explains very clear, uses very helpful examples, manages teaching time very well, always on time, well prepare. one of the best math teachers. She really has a beautiful way to help us understand and learn new material in math.

I was moved by this woman. I entered this class with 1 prof. I was confused though I normally get A's. Something happened & Ms. Rizza replaced him. If u want a professor that truly cares about the well-being of her students, truly teaches, allows questions, is patient, she is it. You will really learn in her class. I took this class in the second session. Even though she give a lot of Homework but it was really worth it. She's sweet and really helps students to learn. I'd recommend this class 100%, you'll learn a lot from her.

Take her! You will learn, she gives extra credit for days! There is no way you can fail her class. She teaches you step by step, she wants you to pass trust me when i say that. If youre one of those that do struggle with math she offers tutoring for her class if you come earlier. When I needed help with my homework she always guided me to the the answers and a lot of the classwork is from the homework.

If you need to take MAT 200 or MAT 120, I highly recommend you take prof Rizza. She is hands down the best math professor Ive had at LAGCC. she makes the concepts of what your learning extremely easy to remember,she will help you one On one as well, is a very lenient grader on exams and she assigns a lot of hw that she converts to extra credit

If you are scared of math and have a bad math background, don't worry. She is life savor. You will start to love math classes. You will get lots of extra credits. I would strongly recommend Dr. Rizza for Mat 120 and Mat 200. Sad I doubt she dont have other math classes.

Can't express how Pre-Cal flew right thru me this semester, she is really caring and has high experience in teaching all her students in order to succeed. Just study the review and you will do fine- did I mention all the available extra credit she hands out- comes in handy. would love to have her again

I had MAT 119 with professor rizza. She is very kind and understanding. The only way you could fail this class is if u dont ever show up or put forth any effort whatsoever. Professor Rizza makes classes easy to understand. If you participate in class she will know that you are studying. She doesnt give due date for homeworks. The tests are easy. Try to not miss any class or you will be lost for the next class. She makes 1 chapter per class, so do the homework to practice what you learned in class. Extra credit.

I have always been afraid of math, but this Professor was the first to actually make believe I could learn. Her lectures are really detailed and her class is extremely organized. She always does reviews before any quiz/tests. The notes from class really helped with homework and she provided us with links to videos lessons as well. Amazing class!

She breaks concepts down so well, probably the best math teacher I've ever had. Precalc was a breeze because of her. She gives lots of homework, but we dont have to do all of them. She gave so much extra credit throughout the semester I ended up with a 120/100 for the class. She doesnt teach Calc here which is sad, I'd love her as a Calc professor

I am someone who deals with a lot of anxiety when it comes to Math and Professor Rizza made everything so much easier. She was caring and helpful. She understood how to structure her classes so that you would get the most out of it. She actually made the class fun. If you struggle with math, I recommend her.

She is brilliant when it comes to teaching. Breaks down all the concepts concisely and explains it perfectly so you not only can get a good grade, but UNDERSTAND. Possibly the best math professor I've had here, I just wish she taught Calc I and above.

Professor Rizza is one of the best professors I've had at Laguardia. She is very encouraging, motivational, and offers many opportunities to earn extra credit. I took her class in the short semester and found it to be very difficult, however, her excellent teaching skills and enthusiasm helped me pass this class.

A very kind and easy going professor. Math has never been my strong suit, but I did enjoy taking this class as Professor. Rizza did her best to make everything easy to understand. One small critique I have is that I wish she gave us back our graded tests so we can use them to study for the midterm & final, but it's not a huge problem.

Professor Rizza is amazing; gives so many opportunities for students to do their best and even incorporates EC for those who answer lesson questions in class. I am fortunate enough to have taken this class.

Professor Rizza explains concepts well, always open to questions, but can be strict at times. Strict in the sense that she wants you to succeed in her class and do the best that you can, but also not taking pictures of the board. She enlightens the class from time to time, she smiles pretty often, and is overall an amazing professor.

Best professor (I've ever taken) at LaGuardia. Works with and believes in all of her students. Come to all the classes, she goes step by step and makes sure EVERYONE understands. Sometimes also gives class extra credit just for being there. Take the class if you want to pass, esp. if you're not good at math, and need as a graduation req. like me :)
