very good teacher

she won't like you if you don't try hard. she will love you if you do. you have to use your own brain - she won't tell you how your suppose to write your paper sentence by sentence. very helpful. you can bring your grade up of you go see her.

She's really easy to approach if you have a problem, she doesn't ask for much and puts an interesting fun twist to teaching the class. If you take her you will not only be happy, but you will be a better writer.

I have never meet such a loving n dedciated professor like her she guided me each step of the way n showed me how 2 get n A on EVERY paper she is d sole reason that im now an English MAJOR I enjoy her teaching methods n respect her intelligence THANK U 4 being such an incredible friend gOOD LUCK!!

AWESOME! didn't want to take this class she made it wonderful.My writing improved 100%+yes she does give out cookies. if you aren't doing well it's your own fault she is clear careful and organized. never enjoyed short stories until her class, she will not hesitate to help you just ask!

She is an okay teacher. Kinda pointless essays but she helps you witih your writing if you ever need it. Never misses class, doesnt give everyday homework. She gives these poitnless group/peer helping meetings during calss to "improve your essays" but no one ever does it and just talks so those are kinda pointless.

Easy going. Somewhat strict when it comes the attendance policy. Only gives 3 short papers & is a nice person

really good teacher . easy going and cared about the students. papers are easy and the final is pass/fail . made me not dred going to an english class which i didnt think would happen.

Probably one of the nicest professors in the school. She's very young, which probably explains her being so understanding. She's not a pushover though, and she won't let you slide if she knows you're a slacker. However, she IS lenient and gives extensions and makeups and the like. She's kinda hot too. Likes Bauhaus, LOL.

I had so much fun in her class! And learned a great deal about writing. She is an energetic and happy person who inspires you!

She is wondeful and loving. That is my second favorite class. She has a very loving and caring personality. Attendance is important and so is the research paper.

She really is a great teacher. If you need help she will give you time after class to help you. She didn't require my class to buy any books, all the readings were electronic reserve and they were actually ineresting. It's not the easiest class, you have to write a couple os essays and the final paper has to be at least 8 pages long.

She is nice and also tough. You will work hard, but yo u will ern your grade.

She is THE PERFECT professor to have as an incoming freshman. The only way to fail her class is to not show up and turn in drastically horrible work. She makes so many efforts to even help you get As in the class...she's a great teacher

She's really helpful and fun. I highly recommend her. She goes the extra mile to help you out if you get lost, but she's really strict on attendance. She gave me an A- ^_^

I took her for both 101 and 201 and you do not have to write a 12 page paper! It's 8 to twelve. Dang, people. if youc an't write 8 pages, you should probly not be in college!

i Had Prof. Zuluaga 4 English 101 My 1st Semester In JJ & i Loved Her Sooo Much That i Made Sure i Had Her For 201 & i Wish She Taught Lit. also lOL; Shes a GREAT Professor, Very Friendly and Helpful But Also Tough; you Need To Work Hard Cause She Doesnt Appreciate Slackers But All in All, Its Very Hard To Fail Her Class Unless u Do NO Work at All

She's seems to always be in a good mood which is convenient because English isn't the most entertaining subject. She grades you fairly and is extremely helpful and clear.

Zuluaga is an absolute sweetheart and gives very good feedback on any piece you submit. Also, if you're not feeling comfortable she sets a friendly and open class atmosphere and she is more than willing to meet with you to answer any questions and give you one-on-one feedback. Highly recommended!

Love! Shes really smart but not stuck up. Makes u feel smart 2. She is not gonna pass u if u are lazy, tho, so be ready to work. If u fail her class u probably desreve it.

she is really helpful she wants us to do good in her class, so she help us on it. i really like the lectures on her class they were very interesting. specially the wondrous life of oscar wao and the film about street art. i highly recommend her

Wonderful Professor who will teach you a whole lot. She provides the model student-teacher relationship any college student needs, responds to e-mails and conveniently uses BB actively. Beautiful woman inside and out, and totally worth anyone's time. If you're a serious student, take her (you won't regret it!)

She is the most amazing professor I have taken in my ENTIRE college career at John Jay. She doesn't ask for much. However, its mostly because the class is a creative writing class. Just do what you have to do on time. Very genuine, funny, easy going, understanding, and helpful. I absolutely loved that class & would take it again if I could.

Easy A, just do the small papers she gives you. Usually on a certain topic that she chooses as the theme for the class (more of a creative writing class). She's helpful too.

She is tough on grading when it comes to grammer but that's easy , just go to the writing center .. you'll need 8 hours there anyways as a requirement, so might as well. At the beginning she will give like 5, 500 word assignments but at the end it becomes easy. Would highly recommend and take again.

Great professor, gives weekly assignment's but easy ones. Participation matters. Will make you film and participate in a video which I believe is very irrelevant to her English class. Make sure you do all the assignments and go to the writing center whenever she tells you to.

She is a really tough grader, doesn't mean she is a bad person she just expects a lot. Grammar is very important to her; like really important. In the beginning their are 5 written assignments, then it transitions it a final project which includes a survey, a survey analysis, and a film based on it. You must also attend tutoring, it is mandatory.

One of the coolest professors I've taken in a long time, if you take her fiction writing class she will inspire you to become a writer, just like she inspired me.

BEST PROFESSOR. GREAT FOR RECOMMENDATIONS. Very helpful when it comes to her assignments. Does not mind giving extensions, unless you have a valid reason. Very keen on tutoring to help students improve their writing skill. Want you to evaluate yourself in the beginning and end to see your improvements. Classes are interesting.

as a new college freshman I was intimidated to begin college. Professor zuluaga was very nice and helpful. You can't be absent more than 4 times, 8 required hours of tutoring, and maybe 4-5 writing assignments that help contribute to the 7 page final research paper. Overall she's very understanding and nice, easy A if you do her work. &no textbook

She's amazing, come to class and make sure that you go to tutoring its mandatory , explain everything crystal clear, a lot of writing assignment. and be cautious of your grammar usage.

Professor Zuluaga is not a tough grader at all. She explains what it is that she expects from her students. She is also very caring and will help you if you're having trouble with her assignments.

I love her. She's honestly the best, she replies to email quick, 101 consist of a research paper on outcast and that's all we worked on all semester. She broke it up into parts. No exams, No midterms, no final.

She is wonderful! She really gets you excited to write because she is so excited to read your stories. Just don't miss a deadline and give feedback during the workshops and you'll be fine even if you aren't a good writer. Amazing class overall

This class is so fun. Professor Zuluaga really helps you become a better writer. In this class you will read lots of interesting stories written by your colleagues. The semester will fly by because of the fun work put into this class. She gives great feedback on your 3 stories. Fun class, so easy. you wont regret it, take this class

One of the best English professors a SEEK student could have!

Zuluaga is beyond amazing at what she does. She is so kind and understanding. She works with you if life gets the best of you. She gives great feedback. I was already a strong writer before taking her 101 class, however, I feel that her feedback and guidance has bolstered my writing. Highly, highly recommend her! Im happy to be taking her again.

Amazing professor that enjoys what she's doing. I would take her class again. It was really easy and fun. I enjoyed being in that class and would definitely recommend her class for those who enjoy writing.

Zuluaga is just so great at what she does. This is my second semester taking her. She is such an amazing professor. She is very accommodating and will exceed expectations in order to help you. If you fail her class, to be very candid, you're probably just an air head. It's not the easiest A, but her class is VERY manageable and makes writing fun.

What can I say? Zuluaga is one of the BEST professors I have ever taken. She is so helpful and such an angel! I've taken her twice (will be taking her again for 216) and she's been nothing but helpful and sweet! She wrote me a great recommendation to be an academic facilitator too. I am forever grateful for her. PLEASE take her if you can!!!

Okay at first I didn't have a very good impression of her but she is actually pretty chill. She assigned us to read 12 angry men but was cool if we saw the movie instead. Shiit this is a pretty easy A

This was one of my favorite classes. Professor zuluaga pushes students as well as myself to do their best when it comes to research papers. She prepares students by essay exercises and in class essays that are actually fun, leading up to the research paper. Best professor!

Sweetest woman ever, she actually cares about her students. She is one of the few professors that acknowledge the fact that students have a life outside of school. She goes through every assignment step by step and even extends due dates. She gives great feedback and will even sit with you one on one. Amazing woman. I definitely recommend.

She's the nicest professor you'll probably ever come across. She makes all her students feel welcomed and accepted. Very understanding and responds to emails pretty quick. Incredibly generous while grading and assigning work!

Absolutely loved this class! Although the class was boring at times, the lectures were short and helpful. As for the work, make sure to complete them. They are all connected, so missing one can impact the rest. She was also very considerate and supportive.

Nicest professor I've had. She actually cares about every student and understands that we have lives. Fun assignments, goes out of her way to explain things thoroughly, and brought us cookies at the end of the semester! A truly caring human being. Would absolutely recommend! Very fair professor. If you fail it's because you didn't do the work. As long as you know how to manage college classes, you'll be fine- she's very understanding as long as you tell her what's up.
