well if you come to class and take notes on what ever it is he tells you, you should pass. Easy teacher. Great person and he reviews the notes befroe the test.

The guy talks ALOT... but I mean ALOTTTTTT. So much so that he might drag on over the syllabus or a subject matter for more than 20 minutes of class and lose track of his lecture. I took the virtual blended course and understood everything and I did not like the type of music taught in this class but I can say that I enjoy it now. I've never written a review on a professor, but I felt it in my heart to do so for Professor Osorio. He's very passionate about the music field, which shows through his lectures. He's makes the class very energetic and lively, trust me you'll want to participate!!He even takes the time out of his busy schedule to make reviews for EACH exam!

This professor is not that bad, he gives reviews for each exam and most of the things in the review are in the actual exam, he gives about 3 exams and one project, that you have to write a 700 word essay on. He does get a little picky when it comes to grading written papers. Overall his a good professor, there is no reason why someone should fail.

I took the same class with some of the students that gave Professor Osorio a bad rating; sad, some people think that all you need to do is be a warm body in the class. In order to understand music you do need to listen to the music and read some class readings; it is very easy. If you are self-motivated, you will definitely get an "A" in class.

During the last couple of weeks of the semester, the professor Osorio opened several assignments for me to make-up some work, and I actually moved up to an "A"grade. MUL 2380 is a very interesting class because it is about more recent music (1800's to now). Most tests are online, professor Osorio allows you to stop showing up to class once you finish the work. It also means you can work on your own time since everything is due every two weeks. He is very nice and likes to joke around. Gives extra credit.

Best music prof. at MDC. He does not make you buy a textbook, since all the class work was created by him already. Unfortunately, there were some very lazy students in my same class as wellsee below (they expect to get a grade for being a warm body!) With little time and work, you will pass this class with an A. I went from a "C" in the class, to an "A"-because this man DOES care for his students. I missed some work, and my grade was suffering, but this kind prof. gave me an opportunity to catch up! No other teachers do this. Strongly recommend him. The class meets once per week, and he gives you many days off (optional attendance). What more can one ask!

Great teacher. It was the first time I took and online class, and prof. Osorio was so helpful, that I decided to take all my classes online. Read the syllabus, and you will understand the course, its a no-brainer! He answers emails right away, and if you are lost, just give him a call, he is very friendly and is very helpful. I took his Jazz and Pop class. It is a Gordon Rule class, and writing needs to be college level. My writing was bad, but Prof. Osorio gave me lots of feedback and now I am even acing my college English class. Very helpful, and really makes music interesting. No textbook to buy, and the class met once per week, a total of 8 times. Very easy to pass.

This class was my first class online. Even though you have to read a lot, it wasnt hard. He will explain every detail and give extra credit if you submit your homework on time. He is very helpful and if you have any issues or questions you can always email and he gets back to you super quick.

This class isn't difficult, however you'll need to read a lot to complete assignments in the online e-book. Professor Osorio was always clear and explained things well. The hardest part of this class was the major project that we needed to complete, however, I still managed to get an "A." As long as you stay on top of your work, you will be fine.

His class is very easy. You need to listen to his lectures, and all the assignments and tests are directly from the book. Additionally, there is a requirement to visit a museum or attend some type of show and write a paper about it, but the process is very straightforward.

Professor was good. About 3 assignments due every Monday, participation matters & attendance matters, He offers a good amount of extra credit. As long as you show up, do your work and reach out when necessary, you should be fine. But if your not good with attendance, i would recommend another class because it is REQUIRED.

Very great professor! Only required to turn on cameras for attendance and for media/listening quiz. You will have one project which will cover most of your grade which is easy. Also, you will have online textbooks assignments.
