Claudio is a very interesting teacher, i was surprised that he is a marxist, is critical and encourages the class into a collective meditation . good pick for a teacher.

Another well delivered class by Prof. Vidal. Entertainining, s.times much reality, kinda depressing but lots of fun. Great presentations! Keep up the good work Claudio! Clarity affected by accent only. U have to take at least 1 course w/him in college!

He's easy if you can think critically. Always does a presentation and essay project with topic of your chosing.

What a cute little man. Very effective teacher. most people who didnt like him, didnt understand the class in general and were more concerned with looking good and meeting people than wanting to learn anything. Very understanding. NO FINAL EXAM!

At first I kept thinking, 'when are we going to start learning something' but then realized that you don't. Assigns readings, engaging discussions, minimal homework, 1 paper, no final.Easy class.

Gets point across well- those who found that they didnt benefit from his class probably were looking for a text book full of definitions so that they could simply regurgitate info. Relevent and applicable info- more classes should be like this one.

He's an extremely smart man. However, if you don't try to ACTIVELY learn a lot of his messages will go over your head. He doesn't use the book to teach the material, although he does teach the material. Tests are quite easy, and out of the book. Any problems? Ask for help. Willingly gives extensions

Great class, you don't have to read and can get away with doing very little work. His opinions are a bit weird but then he is a Socialist.

Very helpful if you are willing to ask. If you are in university to become a robot don't take his class. The material is challeging and up to date but it is up to the student to learn and pick apart the information. At times he is difficult to understand but then again he is not here to be your mom.

He is a very easy teacher. Tests are so easy, he gives the questions in advance and all are mc and true/false.His lectures are very boring and he just goes on and on, but he lets the class out 20 min early. This class can give you an easy A and there is no final just a term paper and a presentation.

You will not fall asleep in his class! His lectures are interesting, and his tests are easy if you read the materials. He is very knowledgable, smart, and he gives very good and reasonable advices. He is nice and considerate.

EASY just do the questionaires and you will be set

sooo easy you do the questionaires and guarenteed 100% on all the tests, plus he is interesting to listen to but sometime he will go on and on but still interesting.

Claudio is willing to donate time to you after class almost everyday. He follows the philosophy that he is there to work FOR YOU. I wish more teachers were like this. He makes the material interesting + gives easy tests. What more do you need?

Hes a awsome teacher, he gives four really short open book exams, talks about crazy stuff and is even willing to take the time to talk about any personal and class issues.

by far the easiest class i have ever taken...you would have to be very stupid/lazy not to get an A in this class...test are all MC and given to you ahead of time...and the teacher is one of the smartest people i have ever met...definatly recomended

Best teacher at Kwantlen by far...he knows a lot of stuff in a lot of different languages too, the knowledge just transends into your brain unknowingly till you see the light, soda say.

Easiest class ever. Doesnt show up half of the time. 4 multiple choice tests and one presentation on nething you like. Hands out questions for test week before. CANT FAIL even if you dont show up.

Well, he's definately got his own style, but I enjoyed it. His perspective is an important one to hear. If you're not interested in the topic, you will hate his class, if you are interested you will love it, unless you are socially and politically conservative. He's very easy-going and understanding. I wish more teachers were like Claudio.

AWSOME teacher! BRILLIANT.. he's one of the smartest people i know, but he is a very scattered person. Most ppl don't really understand where he is going but if you do, you'll learn SO much from him. No final exam, easy tests. i recommed anyone to take his courses, except dumb people who don't understand brilliantance

Sure, he's scattered, and doesn't discuss textbook material. He tells you that the first class, so if you don't like it, he gives you quite ample time to switch out. Claudio will teach you to truly understand problems before jumping to your own conclusion. If you're a right wing "moral high ground" capitalist, you'll hate him.

an amazing teacher, he can be confusing. He doesn't believe in pushing people so they class is a bit easy, unless you are willinging to push yourself to another level and if so, he is there to help. he use to work for the UN so very knowledgeable in all fields. Definitely recommend this teacher.. he will change your life.

He is a good teacher. No books required for his class. Gives out his own notes to study from. Tests are easy and one presentation easy as well. If you put the effort you will Ace it. Not hard at all.

Good teacher. Gets right down to the point and does not show off...something that other professors seem to lack. You either love him or hate him. If you don't agree with his point of view on issues such as religion, go to Trinity Western instead. Simple as that.

He is an alright prof..you dont need to attend class AT ALL!! ..he hands out a booklet with questions about 150 and picks 10 for the test ..REALLY EASY CLASS!!

Claudio is excellent SOCI prof. Would totally recommend. Had 2225 & 2235, got A+ in both. Lectures amusing/useful: accent makes clarity slightly worse, but attendence not strictly enforced. MT & exam either take-home/open-book, usually just 4 short-answer questions. Maybe 1 presentation assgn'd. GPA booster. BOTTOM LINE: you get what you work for.

I have never learnt so much info about what is going on in society today! I don't know why the poster below said don't expect to learn anything! What a knowledgeable professor, by far my favorite professor & lecturer at Kwantlen! You need to do the readings yourself first & he'll relate material to them in class. Awesome professor....TAKE HIM!!!!!!

GPA booster for sure!! Class is a bit boring, but who cares? 4 m/c tests, which he gives you the questionnaire a head of time, 1 essay, and 1 presentation. Take him, he is a very nice person too.

Super easy prof! He gave us a study guide with ALL the questions you would need to know for the 4 tests and the tests were only out of 10- no midterm/final. There was a presentation and a paper. So definatley a GPA booster. Lectures are kinda boring though

This class is a GPA booster, his 4 quizzes (10 mc each) was easy, he gives you a review book a week before and if you fill it out the night before the test you'll get 10/10, his paper was fairly easy, and his final presentation was easy, i finished mine in like 3 hours. Cons are he goes off topic a lot and I didn't learn anything in that class.

Great prof! Class is really easy. No midterm or final just 4 in class quizzes to which he emails you the questions a week prior to the quiz. Only downside to the class is that he tends to talk for the whole 3 hours. Otherwise, great prof and easy class! Definitely a GPA booster.

I've taken 3 classes with Claudio. First thing is, he's very smart - I would say probably a genius. He's great at explaining things in a way that students get a very deep and thorough understanding of the topics. He'll tell a long story and then tie it all together by the end. I've never learned so much about the real world as in his classes.

claudio is a genius, i swear! things can be unclear sometimes because of his accent but overall he is an amazing teacher. I learned so much from him and he was soooooo easy. i definitely recommend him to everyone!

Such an amazing prof

Claudio's lectures are very relevant. He is quite informative, and desires us to be critical thinkers and offer our understanding to the class. e sometimes would go over a specific topic more than once, on account of its relevance, but overall he brought a wide variety of sources to bear in the classroom. He didn't give us many tests, nor a final.

Claudio is one of the best profs I've ever had. His lectures are lengthy but he talks about the most interesting things. There's a research paper worth 30% of your grade and he wants everyone to do well. Take advantage of his office hours and he will help you. He forced me to think outside of just this course which was awesome. Would take him again

Claudio's class was amazing! He is SO kind and understanding. He is always ready to listen to what you have to say. There were 4 tests worth 10% each (only 10 questions and gives a booklet w potential questions a week before) a paper worth 30%, a 10 min presentation on whatever you want and participation :) Would deffs take him again.

Easy marker. He expected talking with every individual. He was not good at Moodle. He said he would post readings, but he forgot every week. So, 2 assignments were eliminated finally. No final exam. So, see what would you want?

If you're a shy person that isn't comfortable speaking in public then don't take his class. Don't waste his time and don't waste your time. Claudio is an amazing teacher that really welcomes participation. He makes you do a 10 min presentation so you can get comfortable with speaking in public. Again, dont take his class if you get scared to speak.

Claudio is so sweet, and absolutely hilarious. He tends to go off topic a lot but somehow manages to relate it to the class discussion. BY FAR the EASIEST class i've ever taken. No strict structure, omits tests and assignments if you give a good reason. The tests are incredibly simple, and he is an easy marker. Definitely would take again.

Awesome prof!!! Loved every minute of the class, no textbooks and no final exams. (sit near the front, participation matters and he can be a bit hard to hear). He is incredibly interesting!!

NO TEXTBOOK USED, ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT CURRENT EVENTS SO IT WAS EASY TO TALK AND UNDERSTAND TOPICS IN CLASS. LEAVES THE TERM PAPER UP TO YOU SO YOU MAY WRITE IT WITH A TOPIC YOU LIKE. TESTS ARE TAKE HOME AND ARE REFLECTIVE TO THE SMALL READINGS YOU DO. DOES TALK A LOT AND GOES OFF TOPIC BUT EASY GOING CLASS

If you take his class, don't expect to learn anything. However, he is an easy A prof! There were about 4 quizzes, each being out of 10 & multiple-choice, which were one of the easiest quizzes I ever did. There is a paper and presentation in this class. Those are very easy as well. His lectures are boring and irrelevant to the topic but participate!

4 summary notes, 2 easy tests, one report. He talks in circles but I get his point. He's funny too! Easy elective and GPA booster. Amazing guy overall! Would take his class again any day!

Best prof I have ever taken. 4 Summary Notes (each worth 10%), two easy tests (for this class he did one test worth 15%, one test worth 10% and one test worth 5%), 10% participation, 20% paper (he lets you choose topic). He is a jokester and such an entertaining guy. 10/10 prof, would take him again. Easy A

Overall an easy going prof, lectures about his own life experiences and not the text book so make sure you do your readings as the test it based off that. Easy grader as well.

Great Prof! Her cares about if you understand and if you don't he will not move on until you do. Was supposed to do summaries for the reading we were given but he decided to take them out bc we didn't get the reading. You don't really need to go to class. Tests are 3 paged doubled spaced papers (4 of them maybe 3 if he's nice). Easy A!

Accent is very strong. Combine that with an online format (due to covid-19) and understanding the teacher is even worse due to lag/tech issues. So no point going to class. No attendance marks. Not very tech savvy. However, provides clear assignment instructions. Not difficult to pass w/ high mark. No exams. 3 short essays. 1 research paper.

This class is an easy GPA booster. The professor has an accent, but his lectures are entertaining. With no exams and only a few short assignments, it's easy to get an A. I found Unstuck ai really helpful for summarizing the readings.
