I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this professor. He will make your class time interesting and fun. You will learn a lot about academic writing. You will participate in some of the most interesting discussions. For English, it is a fairly easy class. If you apply yourself, you will get an A... if you try and just get by, you'll still learn a lot, but good luck!

I don't typically like English teachers but Clay is awesome! The assigned work teaches you exactly what it should, he prepares you for all papers, and his feedback is helpful. His communication skills are excellent for an online class, which is very important if you have a problem. Very well structured online course. Will be taking him again!

Prof Arnold is an AMAZING prof. He was extremely knowledgeable, chill and available after class. He always prepared you for the papers, and if you are having any trouble, VISIT HIS OFFICE HOURS!! he would read through my drafts and give me advice and point out things to work on. As long as you put in the work you will do well!

You have to write a lot, but it is about really interest things. He give you comments on your draft to get a better grade. It is an easy class, but you have to be on the announcements in case that something change or a new week is open. I really recommend this teacher

Mr. Clay's class was a breeze. He organizes assignments to prepare you for essays. I took a 6-week online course and got a B+ I'm sure a regular-length class would be a piece of cake.

TERRIBLE. Only wanted to talk about covid, every assignment was based off of covid. I don't know of one assignment I did of his that did not involve covid. Most annoying professor ever. VERY LIBERAL. DOES NOT RESPECT ANY OTHER OPINION. UNLESS YOU WANT TO WRITE MULTIPLE ESSAYS ON COVID, DO NOT GO WITH CLAY ARNOLD.

graded papers extremely hard, wanted your peers to revise the essay before him,and even though your peers had good feedback when it came time for him to revise and grade the essay it was like your essay was the worst essay ever. I always had good grades on essays, now my confidence in my essays went down. was also not the best at advice or help.

The professor is pretty laid-back as long as you complete your assignments and adhere to his rubric. However, his lectures can be tedious and lengthy. It's worth noting that he disapproves of mobile phone usage during class.

He wasn't at all understanding about the injury. In a way, I felt threatened if I didn't tell him what he wanted to hear, and I felt forced to admit to something untrue. He was a tough grader and wasn't welcoming the first few weeks. Attendance is extremely mandatory and will automatically fail if you miss 6+ lectures.

Professor Arnold is very passionate about sustainability, and it shows through his lectures. Although there is a lot of reading involved in the class, it isn't difficult. He is also available for office hours and will give great feedback about your essay. Overall, show up to class, participate, do your work on time, and seek help if needed.

This class was very enjoyable and easy. All homework grades were completion, the rest were essays with fair grading & outlined expectations. Papers had a page limit but you could put as much into it as you wanted. I left very educated about discourse in sustainability and appreciating the environment an nature writing much more than I did before.

He was a very good professor, and I left his class very satisfied with everything I learned. If you are interested in taking any course with him, just know that he will challenge you just enough to level up your skills in writing. Hopefully sustainability will return to the curriculum soon, because it's a useful topic he was very passionate about.

Very open to students using his office hours to get help and feedback on work. All of the assignments in his class work together throughout the entire semester and all in some way help you write the next essay. You never have to just write an essay out of thin air, there is always some work you've done to generate thoughts to start out.
