He teaches the block classes so expect a fast paced course but he explains things in a way that everyone can understand. He is more then willing to help anyone even after you get out of his class. This is the best math teacher i have ever had.

This class was pretty easy. He usually gives homework everyday, but the assignments aren't long and they are only due on Tues. and Fri. He explains things well enough that the tests aren't too hard. He really works with you if you don't understand what's happening. Definitely recommend.

I liked Clay's way of teaching, he took the time to teach it and you never got bored of looking at him.If you really want to learn a different way of learning math take it from him. He is the best.

He is a great teacher. The only thing that i dont like about him is that he is very scatterbrained. He never really knows what he's going to teach until he walks in the door. But when he does teach he does a great job of explaining things. He also has a really fun personality. I would highly suggest him.

Brown was a good teacher. He taught the class different methods so that we could use the one that best helps us. He was funny and fun. Not a hard teacher at all. We only took a couple of quizzes and 4 tests not including the midterm or the final. He was really good at preparing us for the final.

If you have ever struggled with math this is the class for you! Clay bends over backwards to help you out (in and out of class) and also explains Algebra in a way that you can actually understand the point to all the formulas and equations. Great guy, great class, and a great experience!

Clay knows math! He can explain it in a way that will make sense to all different kinds of people. He's a stickler about homework and its a good idea to always have your book in class. Tests are quite hard but if you dedicate yourself to eat and breath math for a semester you will do very well and come out with a lot of knowledge and a good grade.

He really works with you if you are not getting it. He wants you to do your best and provides every opportunity for you to better your skills. He walks you step through step and answers every question. I like his style of teaching. He even provided people with extra credit opportunities. He is a very entertaining teacher. He used very funny ways of helping students to remember how to do certain math processes. For example when we were doing three variable elimination, to help us remember to not lose track of the variable we were eliminating he stapled it to his shirt.

He is really helpful. He knows what he is talking about and doesn't move faster than the class. He always is fair and desires his students to get good grades. I think he is an amazing teacher.

He is the the best math teacher i have EVER had, i hated math until this class, he explains everything until you get it and if you still dont he'll go back to the basics and explain it slowly. the amount of work was just enough but relativly easy. prepares GREAT for the tests. i learned SO MUCH

He is helpful and wants his students to succeed but you work for your grade. He is thorough in his teaching and usually has more than one way to help you find a solution. If you don't do well it's because you didn't try not because he didn't try to help. I am not afraid of math anymore because of him. Only complaint is he doesn't teach upper level

Clay is great-very fair and helpful. I am taking him for 1000 and he will change my 990 grade if I do better in 1000. Funny, and has funny ways to remember concepts. Didn't mind going to math class at all. I still don't get it all, but he did his best with me, so not his fault.

Everyone needs to have Clay as a teacher. The way he teaches makes complete sense. I have failed every single math class I have ever taken until this one. You have to work for your grade but he gives you every possible tool to help you earn it. He encourages students to ask questions and will explain it in different ways until you understand.

Clay is overall a great teacher! This class is very fast paced and difficult, but he did an excellent job in teaching the material. He was always willing to explain things and go over questions on the homework. And he gives only odd problems in homework, so you can check your work. Hard tests though. Clay is a great teacher! He explains things very clearly. I would recommend taking Mat 1000 from him. He gives a review before every test. The tests can be hard but if you do the review right you should do well on the test. He always teaches past the end time so schedule accordingly with other classes.

Clay surpassed my expectation for a teacher, he was great! I do not like math but he was so helpful with homework in class and outside of class that I did well. Clay is the BEST math teacher I have EVER had in my career as a student. He is deticated in helping his students understand and is willing to spend hours teaching outside of his work schedule, away from his family to help. He writes very big and clear on the white boards. Great teacher. I'm not very smart when it comes to math but he helped me understand what I was doing wrong. He helps you with anything you may need after class. Tests are not that hard if you study. Homework is normal not too much. He doesn't use my math lab which is great.

Clay is a great teacher. If you are good at math, he might not be the professor for you. He will go over concepts over and over again and can sometimes get boring because you understand it so well. So if math is your best subject, maybe try another professor. If math is hard for you, he would be the absolute perfect professor for you!

Brown us a very good math teacher, he is very easy to understand. His tests are easy if you study the take home quiz. The class takes studying but its doable if you try! Clay is an awesome teacher and i have really enjoyed his teaching style this year, for the first time in my life i understood math!!!

This man is seriously the greatest math teacher of all time. He is thorough, clear and passionate about what he does and the success of his students. This class requires doing the homework by hand, on paper which helps so much more than doing it online or though mymathlab. If you don't take this class from Clay, you are seriously missing out.

Clay is a great professor. He truly cares if a student gets the concept or not. If you fail his class it's because you either didn't go or didn't take advantage of the after class time andor open lab opportunities. Other than that you should pass because of how well Brown explains.

Clay was very clear and easy to understand. I have had a very difficult time in the past with math and all throughout this course found myself waiting for the hard part to come. With the clarity that Clay taught with I didn't find any of it hard. He makes himself available for questions and is very easy to work with if you need extra help.

Clay is a great professor for most students. He stays after class to help you with homework if needed. He explains things clearly when asked questions, and uses multicolored markers for even more clarity. Homework is due each unit which helps if you stay on top of it. He told us his online pass rate is much lower then in the classroom setting.

BEST math class I've ever taken. Clay was clear on what he expected and took his time explaining the material. I have never been a good math student but his class made me feel so confident. He gives practice tests that are almost identical to his tests. He DOES allow calculators!

Clay gives you such a clear understand of why the formulas and other things work the way they do and how they came about. He will always work with you to help you understand and even came in on extra days to have more review. He gives partial credit on tests.

Clay is an amazing teacher. He teaches math very clearly and teaches to multiple levels of understanding. There is a fair amount of homework (paper & pen) but it all applies to the tests. The course is broken up into 4 units so there are 4 tests and a final exam. He is very willing to help with any questions you might have. Highly Recommend!

Dr. Brown is kind and respectful to students, never making anyone feel dumb. He is patient with questions and explains things in a way that those not great with math can understand. He is energetic and engaging. I would recommend him to anyone! Awesome professor!

He takes the time to set up study groups for us when the finals were getting close and before the he helped the mentor in the class set them up throughout the semester. He made sure that you participated in class and he took the time to explain why the things we needed to do were in that order. Brown made learning math fun and relaxing.

I really loved taking math 1000 from Clay. I never liked math in high school, but now I love math and I understand it in a whole new way. He really cares about the success of each student. If a student doesn't understand a problem one way, he will explain it in different ways to make sure the student understands it. I highly recommend him!

AMAZING TEACHER. IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT ANY MATH CLASS (MATH1000-MATH9000) TAKE CLAY!! He is first of all, such a nice guy. He really cares about his students and his math problems. He teaches so well and always makes sure you understand before he moves on. He does the homework in class every day so you can do your homework and follow along. :)

I had him for an online-only class but he gave the class access to another class he teaches lectures learning the same stuff. It saved me and helped me a lot to be able to watch and rewatch his lectures to help me learn the material for the class. I will say he does talk a lot during his lectures but you do learn the material in the end.

I failed Math 1010 last semester, and looking back, I realized I wasn't helping myself by staying in the class with that professor. Things click with Clay, though. He really cares about his students, goes out of his way to help them, and gives us every advantage to help us succeed. I'll definitely pass this semester, with much thanks to Clay.

I took his Math 1010 online. Great professor!! All the homework assignments are an automatic 100% because you get to submit an answer as many times as you need until you get it right. There is a quiz for each chapter - unproctored and you also get 3 tries on every question so its hard to not get 100%. The midterm and final are proctored.

All the homework assignments have flex due dates so you never have to complete an assignment on a certain date. Just be sure to get them done. He was such a great professor and really gives everyone a chance to learn the content on their own time and without any penalty on the homework if you get it wrong. Take his class!

Very simple class, do the homework, pass the chapter tests, do midterm and final exam. That is all there is to it, and if you need more time or extra help, it is offered and easily accessible. Very flexible due dates for assignments as well.

The teacher was kind, and you could tell he was in it for the students. He cared about who passed and would help us to get the grade we wanted. He also gave us time outside of class to help us succeed. Would also stop class lecture to help a student if needed.

Professor Brown is likely the best math professor I have ever had. He genuinely cares about the success of his students. He is easy to work with outside of class and very accessible. He is also lenient on grading and turning stuff in late. He gives you ways to prepare for exams via study sessions before the exam plus a practice exam.
