Decent teacher, younger than others so the class is more intresting. Shows current event videos and encourages class discussion. He prints out notes if you miss class. Very willing to help.

This guy is really easy but he is not very current on everything that is going on in the world (in other words you can catch him on a lot of things if you know what is going on). All in all if your looking for an easy A take this class!!!

Best Gov't teacher ever! Great attitude, easy tests, helpful reviews, I don't know how anyone could do badly! I love this guy! He's so young too!

Tests aren't bad. If you study you should get a B or A. Class is inetersting, willing to print out notes, offers extra credit, and encourages class discussion.

This professor is great! A bit boring in his lectures since he offers power point and talks straight from the power point. He usually gives extra creadit and is very lenient. Word of advice, go to class and read the chapters coz his reviews are not well explained.

This professor makes the class extremly easy. Gives a study guide two days prior to an exam which tells you exactly what to study. Easy A if you go over his study guide before the exam. I would highly recommend him.

If you can't get an A or B in Clay's class, maybe you should rethink your reason for going to college. Not just because he is easy, but because he makes government interesting in his lectures. Always answers email quickly, gives a curve, and doesn't treat you like a piece of dirt. Best teacher ar UH

The Best POLS teacher. Breaks everything down and easy to understand. Provides study guides and tells you EXACTLY what is on the exam. Always available for help in office hours or through e-mails. Highly recommend.

Mr. McFaden is really easy to take. The notes are posted on his website so everyone pretty much prints them out. He reads directly from the notes, so you don't really have to show up to class everyday. He actually told us this the 1st day. The exams are easy if you read the notes! Take McFaden!

Great teacher he proviedes you with all of the notes and a review for the test. You dont have to do anything to hard just study a couple days before the test and youll make a B. Review is straight from his posted notes and you can find info in the books very easily. He is actually not boring and is interesting overall good teacher i recomend.

Definately one of the better professors I have taken. Selects interesting books for reading and the tests are generally easy. If you go by the reviews its easy to get a high grade.

Professor McFaden is such a nice guy. He is so willing to help and is so lenient like you won´t believe. The tests can be tricky. A lot of people don´t go to his class but I recommend going since he shows a lot of videos and some questions on his exams come from them. Denifitely visit him during his office hour. He is such a fun person to talk to.

He's such a sweet guy and cute too! His lectures are worth attending for the videos that he shows on occassion and he will usually tell you what day he's showing them too. His tests are really easy due to his reviews that basically give you the test questions. He gives chances for extra credit and is very lenient.

He is a great guy. Very willing to work with any student. His test are fairly easy due to the fact that he gives you such a helpful review. The final is a compilation of all his other tests. Would strongly suggest to take his class.

Well in his class buyign the book is the same as just not buying it. Most of his question are out from the lectures he give. only a few are directly out of the book. If you want to take his class make sure u don't miss his lectures or u'll havea hard time studying for exams.

Reviews are practically the test, but some of the questions from the review are worded weird on the test. Attendence is mandatory (especially if you want the 5 extra credit points at the end of the semester!) Quizzes are from the book, and some of the review questions are from the book too.

He gives a total of 7 extra credit points added to your final grade. The tests are just like the review. I suggest you buy the book because 1/3 of the questions on the test are from the book and youLL need the book for the online quizzes. Attendance is not necessary, you can not go to class and get an A on the test. Easiest POLS teacher ever!

His class was alright. Nice guy, some of the comments he makes are funny. He's very clear and easy to understand. Replies really fast to your emails.

Wonderful prof! He is not liberal if u can believe that! He seems to be a moderate instead. Tests are mc/short answer/ essay. He tells u exactly what is on the test. Easy A, and he is very nice and interesting.

I had to drop this class because my brain was rotting. He uses powerpoints which you can print out before class, then he reads EVERY WORD FROM THE POWERPOINT AND DOES NOT DEVIATE. I'm sorry but this makes the class so boring. Def not the right prof for me.

a lot of people dont like his method of using powerpoints but he is always open to questions... above all, hes a very calm and nice professor,never imposes his beliefs on you, never yelled at a single student (even when some retards dont stop talking), was always helpful and interested in how your grades are and how you liked different tests/quizes

McFaden is a very nice and extremely laid back professor. The class is very boring, but he will stray from his powerpoints for class discussion and is open to any kind of commentary. Though the class is boring, it is also very informative. Work load was avg-a little above average.

McFaden is awesome! Reviews are just like exams. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities. Also takes attendance for extra points. Overall, VERY EASY and INTERESTING! He kept us up to date with the current presidential campaign and events.

Mr. Mcfaden is really a nice professor. Not just his personality, he is understanding and there are plenty of opportunities to make extra credit. Class is boring but his teaching is very good. If you do the review (HELPFUL!!) than you should do fine on the tests, that is all. Really nice and really considerate and looks at the students likestudents

very boring professor! he lectures exactly from his power point, dry slide by dry slide. He does give you a review for the test but you have to know it inside and out because the wording is tricky. As far as personality, he is a cool guy, responds back to emails quickly but really really really really booooorrriiiiinggggg

Boring class, but very EASY! You get a review which is basically the exam! He takes attendance to give out extra credit. You need the book to do the quizzes, some quiz questions will appear on the exam! It is really helpful to form a study group for this class. SUPER EASY class!! =D Take this teacher!! So easy!!!

He's kind of monotonous, but if you follow closely with the powerpoints, you'll be okay. Didn't really read the book, only for quizzes. He gives you an exam review two days before exam. It's long so it's wise to group together with a couple of classmates to breakdown the review and discuss answers. If you do all that, you'll get an easy A!

Easy class, "nice guy" type teacher. His tests have a few trick questions, but if you memorize the study guide that he posts a few days before the test, the questions are a breeze.If you use his powerpoints to help you take notes in class, skim the textbook for quiz answers, and know the reviews like the back of your hand, you'll get an easy A.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but is for extra credit. Boring since he lectures straight from the powerpoints he posts online. Tests were semi-hard, he posts the review on Thursday morning. Do all the extra credit you can, since it's added straight to your final grade. Studied pretty hard and got a B+ without the extra credit, A with extra credit.

I took his Political Science class in the fall,really nice guy and very helpful. His lectures were fairly intresting and he went over the material well. If you want to do well in his class make sure you study for the tests, they're notoriously tricky!

Straight forward on reviews. Only prob is that his lectures are very dry. Extra credit is there. Very trick on the exams though.

Very easy A! As long as you do the study guide, you'll get an A on tests. Lots of extra credit, and quizzes are open book. Lectures are pretty interesting, but you don't even have to go to them to pass the class. Take him if ya wanna boost up your gpa!

SO EASY. You don't need to go to class at all but I do to get extra credit which is totally worth it. Gives makeup exam if you need it and works with you. Nice guy! TAKE HIM!!!

Just do the reviews. I REPEAT! just DO the exam reviews and memorize the answers! most people fail because they choose not to. All of the questions on the exam are from the review. AGAIN! JUST DO THE REVIEW and you should ace the class. PS: the answers are usually the simplest one, don't over-think the questions

Gives you hints to his tests 2 days before the tests, so do the review and you're going to pass. Seriously, do them, memorize them and don't overthink during the test. Different ways to earn extra credit, showing up to class is one good way. Personally, I enjoyed his class when I didn't think I would. And he's funny when he wants to be :)

the key to do well in this class is to do the reviews for the tests which he gives 2 days in advance. memorize the answers and you should be fine. quizzes are easy as well. the opportunities for XC are for you to take advantage of. that is pretty much it for this class. no excuse to fail.

Honestly, don't take him if you don't like to work, a lot of people got c's and d's because they didn't have the initiative. His class is EASY, he offered ample extra credit, he gave reviews for each test ahead of time, and the quizzes were open book. I got an A and you should too if you have the initiative.

Alright teacher, gives plenty of extra credit, time consuming but worth it. I went to class and slept tru the whole lecture and still pass the class with an A.

I suggest some not to take this class. Tests are over his lectures but VERY tricky (a., b., c., d. a&b, e. all of the above) Weekly quizzes are over the book and some answers are NOT straight-forward! This man is out to ruin other students' GPAs! Take this class if you are willing to print each lecture, reread them, and be tricked on the test.

I took him for both 1336/1337 and I absolutely love his class. He gives a detailed review before the exams and offers up to 6 points of extra credit added to your final average. If you're lazy and don't want to study, then don't bother. He's an awesome professor though and is always willing to talk to his students about grades/problems.

His exams tend to be a bit tricky but they are extremely simple if you actually study (most people don't do this). He posts exam reviews 2 days before the test and should take around 4-6 hours to complete. It's an easy A and you will never find an easier college level course than this.

It is very apparent that he loves teaching. Exams contain many trick questions but it isn't impossible. Weekly open book quizzes can be tricky too. He does give a very detailed review prior to each exam. If you want a straight forward class then take Mcfaden, if you want an entertaining class then take Howard.

In class slide shows with extra notes are available for those responsible enough to download them. Reviews given for each exam 2 days prior, with every answer to the hints available in class notes. One of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Gives exam reviews 2 days prior to the test, if you do the review completely and memorize it then it should be an easy A (assuming you found the correct answer to the hints). No excuse to do bad in this class since he gives sooo much extra credit like 4 pts added to the final grade avg for attendance.

All semester I thought I did poorly. I never did well on the quizzes. I made B's on all the tests. I never missed a class. I ended up scrapping by with an A-. It isn't an easy class. Just do your work and you'll be ok.

Good professor. Exams are really tricky but his reviews are helpful and his extra credit makes if pretty easy to do well. I'm NOT a 4.0 student and made an A. Just go to class and work hard on completing his reviews and you will do fine.

I took this class during a 6 wk summer course. There are bonus points for attendance and a quiz. Attend lecture (bonuses) and take lots of notes. Everything said shows up on the exams. There are study questions and a review before each exam, know these in depth and you'll make an A. If you do your work and attend classes regularly you'll do well.

The tests are hard but by the way he does the final grades, it's easy to get an A in the class. You will need the book for the quizzes which are easy after you've read the chapter. I admire how dedicated he is to his lectures, and his notes are thorough. It was hard for me to stay awake though, and he's lenient with phones & leaving early, so it was easy to get distracted. The tests are very tricky, but if you study the review sthoroughly you'll be okay. Turn off distractions during class and it will be way more beneficial.

Attend class, Study the hints given for exams, and never miss a quiz and you should be fine! Textbook is needed, and there are abundant amounts of extra credit opportunity. He's a great great professor, totally recommend him.

Great professor, speaks very clearly and offers a lot of extra credit. Makes it almost impossible to fail the course. However he has a monotonous voice that makes it very easy to lose focus and slack off during the lecture. Other than that he is a great teacher.

His course is extremely easy. It gets boring especially when you have 3 hours of it all at once. He has a lot of extra-credit opportunities. He is also helpful and flexible from time to time if you forget to do an assignment. Do his review sheets, do all the assignments, get as much extra-credit as you can and you will end up with an easy A.

Took this class in the Sugar Land off-campus, 3 hours long lectures breaks in between. He is very professional, knows & understands the material. grades quickly and gives helpful feedback. Never cancels class,he is helpful, class size was small and that make it easier to ask questions. I do recommend this professor to all political science majors.

I love this guy, taking his 2305 government class and he maintains a neutral position. Does not express liberal views like other stupid profs ! Thank God he doesn't try to brain wash!
