he makes the class fun, and you actually learn. pretty easy class as long as you keep up with his notes and read the chapters.

You can get exempted from his final exam if you can get an A average on quizes, tests, and HW. He does take roll and each day you miss is one point off your final grade. His classes are interesting and he has lots of stories to tell from his life.

had dr. handron for intro psych and thought he was just great. I highly recommend him, very interesting and entertaining. However, this man is pushing 75 years old, so neglect the "hotness" factor.

Very nice. Explains things in detail. If you go to class and listen you will do fine. If you have a 90 avg. @ the end, he will exempt you from the final, and you get a A for the class. Great Person!

Great professor. I was fortunate enough to have him stand in for my absent professor and he was terrific. He tells great stories from his career as a psychologist. Class attendance was constantly 90% or more, which shows the quality of the class.

he is such a cute little man. he will help you with anything! attendance is important and sutdy for quizzes and you will do fine. he tells really intresting stories to help you remember things, and only cares about you doing well in his class.

He gives lots of examples and he will try his hardest to work with you outside of class if you need it. His dor is always open. He is very easy to talk to.

You will be fine in his class, gives extra points for attendence, very nice guy, tests are not hard at all, if you go to class your fine

I never thought I would enjoy psychology so much. He is very informative and is fair. I would definitely recommend taking this guy.

Very interesting class - quizzes and tests are very specific so you have to study alot but He's a very nice guy and will help if he can. Attendance extra credit!!!

Dr. Handron is absolutely awesome. You will not have a better professor at ECU. Yes, he expects a lot but you are in college now folks. There is no doubt in my mind that whatever class you take him for you will thoroughly enjoy yourself.

He's an unbelievably entertaining professor. He loves his job, and apparently his family too! Gives examples for every concept covered... which makes you visualize terms well. He's extremely approachable. I've even had him "psychoanalyze" me. If you aren't interested in psych, you'll leave happy.

There is a big project to do but you get to pick the topic for the most part. There is no final, simple assignments. Very interesting! He'll help you if he knows you care.

Very interesting, helpful and intelligent man. He makes you want to come to class everday. Gives easy homework to boost your grade and three quizes before each test. quizes are easy and help you prepare for the exam early. easy a if you try

He is very helpful. Even tho he takes attendance, his class is fun to go to everyday. I would take him again. As long as you do all the hw and do ok on the quizes and tests you will do good in the class.

I didn't like psychology until I took this class. Prof. Handron's enthusiasm and stories make the material memorable, and he only tests on what is covered in class.

Very good teacher. Tests were not easy, but if you study they are not too bad. Very fun teacher with interesting stories to help you remember the information. Loved the class.

Take this guy! He is the best! He does take attendance, but if you are a Psych major, I really suggest him. He is interesting, funny, and just really really great. He is one of those people that if you don't like him, its your fault. -Jenny

He's my favorite professor at ECU and I'm not a psych major. He did, however, influence me to make it my minor. He's a great man with a good heart who actually cares if his students pass or fail. His tests aren't easy, but the amount of extra credit he offers evens it out. Go to class and you'll be fine.

AWSOME class, and hes got no shame! would take this class again without thinking about it! and if you do your absolute best, and make atleast an 85 on everything, and show up to class, u get exempt from the final! definately take this class

He is one of the best teachers at ECU. He really cares about his students and he is always willing to help you outside the classroom. He is soooo funny and interesting and he tells the greatest stories. His attendance policy pays off in the end bc you learn a lot more. Just study your notes and you'll ace every test!

Great Class. Take him if at all possible. He tries to make the class learn, and if they dont, he might even curve you a bit. Best if taken honors or in a small class.

I think everyone should take Intro to Pysc with him because he teaches everything so well. The two group classes and one break out class idea is amazing for such a hard class.

I took him for psych of religion and psych of sexuality. HE IS GREAT. Very easy to get along with, open minded, well versed in what he is teaching, and has a world of knowledge. I highly recommend him.

I took him for into to psyc and he really is a great teacher. he makes the lectures interesting, and the quizzes and tests arent real hard. attendence is not mandatory but if you're there when he takes it you get +5 to your final average :)

Hey is awsome, i loved him! He is such a cute little man. he seems like he is hard, but he is really not. I am so happy that i took him because i absolutely loved the class! The only problem with him was that being a phillies fan, he was a mets fan, no biggy

He is a WONDERFUL teacher! I recomend EVERYONE to take this class. It's very helpful with his presentations and videos. Also, the breakout sessions are very helpful. Although you have a test every Friday and you have to take online quizzes every week, it helps out your grade a lot! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

2 Master classes & 1 breakout class. Material is taught so that everyone can grasp it. 10 tests (10 questions) lowest 1 gets turned into a 100. 12 Quizzes-each can be taken 10 times-then take highest of each w/ lowest 2 dropped. Perfect attendence adds 5pnts to final grade. EASY A

Dr. Handron is really nice and really knows his stuff. He gives lots of examples and tells stories about when he was in private practice. The class was genuinely interesting. The weekly tests and quizzes were annoying at times but really helped me study. I loved his class. He is so nice and looks like a skinny Santa! Take Handron. You'll love him!

Dr. Handron is a great teacher. Hes super nice, easy to understand, he drops the 2 lowest quiz grades (one online quiz, with multiple attempts, a week) and drops your lowest test grade (one a week). He adds 5 points to your final if your in class whenever he takes attendence. Def take him for a teacher

I LOVED Dr. H!!!! He was great. He made learning Psyc fun. His tests were super easy especially if you attended class. He gives you so many oppertunites to get an A...I would recomend him to anyone taking psyc!

Dr. H was an incredible asset when decided if I wanted to continue in the field of psychology. I would reccomend him in heartbeat. I found his lectures to be both informative and interesting. You can't replace life experience. You get what you put into his class. As much as you are willing to learn he is willing to teach. HE WAS AMAZING!

I love him!! 10 question test every week, but all material comes from class lectures and he uses powerpoints. random attendance, but adds 5 points to final grade if you have perfect attendance. he's really nice and adds a little bit of humor sometimes, tells a lot of stories. Dr. Handron is an AWESOME professor. I would DEFINITELY take psych again with him. He uses different teaching techniques to keep it interesting. There are quizzes online every week and a test every friday but they are not hard as long as you take notes and look over the material a few times. I would recommend him to anyone!!!

dr. Handron is adorable. He's a great teacher and is really interesting if you get into the class. you have 10 tests and ten quizzes a semester so he gives a good oppurtunity to recover from one bad grade. tests questions are fill in the blank and t/f most of the time. he really cares about his students and always wants to help.

If you have to take psychology you better try to get him. You can get up to 10 pts. added to your final grade. He tells the best stories on whatever it is he's lecturing on. He is such a sweet man and I really enjoyed his class.

If you need psych 1000 please take Dr. Handron. He is the greatest teacher ever. He is funny and the class is interesting.

Dr. Handron is the cutest old man! His class is interesting, and he gives you five bonus points at the end of the semester for coming to class. The tests aren't that hard, and he gives study guides for them, which help a lot. I recommend taking him to anyone!

Dr. Handron's life is Psych. hes good at explaining the material. He takes random attendance and u get 5pts on ur final if your there for all of them. On fridays u will have a TA. Attendance is mandatory on fridays and there will be 10 question mini quiz that will add up to be a test grade but TA's give good study guides though. easy B.

One of the best teachers at ECU! Test every Friday (which sucks at times) and random attendence. my TA was terrible but Dr. Handron is wonderful. Very good notes and very good lectures. Not boring at all. I love this old guy. He is so cool! i have a B in the class

Amazing man, intelligent, empathetic, helpful, interesting. He made a tough academic year a lot easier just by going to his class, and restored my faith in ECU. I am now pursuing a Psych minor because of him. I'm not sure if he is still teaching, if he is do Not miss a chance to take ANY class with him!

THE BEST TEACHER @ ECU! I took him for intro psych and was so excited that he was teaching sexual behavior. He only teaches in the spring now but def. take him if you can. He was an excellent teacher. His grading method wasn't normal (he let us choose which grade we wanted to strive for- A, B, or C) but he made it very easy. His lectures were interesting and I really enjoyed going to class. I would love to take him again! He graded very leniently and listened to students. It was obvious he actually cared about us.

I had him for religion and he is a fantastic professor. His lectures are interesting and he has plenty of examples and stories to relate and make it easier. Such a sweet man overall and very understanding

He teaches part-time at PittCC & I had the pleasure of taking him for PHIL 240 this semester. I have never met a more humble & kind human being than Mr. Handron. His lectures were truly fascinating that I never thought about skipping his class. Please take his class & you will be surprised as to how much you will learn!
