If you don't like math don't even think about him, but if math is your passion I will strongly recomend him. You will learn and see math from a different angle. He's slow talking and moving but he will surely speed up your brain. Try it, if you love math you won't regret.

Very good teacher! Interested in students' learning. Will explain over and over without getting angry or frustrated. Gives points on tests for following the correctsteps althought the answer is wrong.

Uses a lot of funny sayings like "that will be highly illegal even in Miami”, give plenty of extra credits and is flexible if you miss a test. It’s up to you if you want an A, no excuse to drop the class or get less than a B.

Professor Taylor is willing to help you do your best. He might not do it individually but he cares about the studends and it willing to help out with extra credit and lots of homework. If you are willing to put the time that the class requires you will do good. His exams are exactly what you do for homework. So, put the time and do all the work.

This guy is funny in a dorky way but he knows his subject. He gives reviews before the tests & the test q's are JUST LIKE THE REVIEW. It's so easy to get 100% if you're not retarded or 1 of those who freak out 4 no reason. Theres always extra cred 4 the tests and he doesn't care if you come to class as long as youre not late when you do & you pass.

I forgot to say the class is so boringgggg... i just go for the attendance but like i said its not even mandatory. Get a red bull before class!!

Excellent Professor, Though it may get boring in class, important to drink a red bull! Attendance is a plus, and he would gladly curve your grade and pass you if he sees you trying and assisting class! His test are easy but hard if you don't study! Great Teacher

This man is a trip! He cracked me the Hell up... If you are looking for a challenge, you will find it. He is so freaking PATIENT! (He repeated the same shizzle so many times... SERIOUSLY.) I got an 'A' in his class which I thought was pretty easy but, alot of people thought it was hard, in all reality if you pay attention you will be fine. ;)

He really cares about the students and their success. If it wasn't for the fact that business claculus was my last math class, I would take all math classes with him. He's funny, smart and patient. I am extrememly satisfied my experience. Kudos to Professor Taylor.

Not the best of teachers but extremely helpful do your work follow his examples get an A its that simple i got all A's on his tests never opened the book i only used notes and his practice tests he will not let you fail will take him for all other math classes

He's a good teacher. He explains everything very well. He always make jokes in class, very sarcastic. Not hard if you study and practice the exercises. He grades the test fair. I recommend taking him!!

I almost didn't take Prof. Taylor because I tought he was difficult. The reality is that he was actually kind of easy! I did study some and got a "B". If I just had study a little bit more, i would had gotten a "A" for sure! We applied very litlle basic algebra and the rest was just a kind of mathematics only used for statistcs. He made me laugh!

Prof. Taylor sends a study guide to follow during class which helped with notes. Had one take home test (thank God) and he curved two other test grades (thank God, again!). I was very thankful for his flexibility, and I would recommend to take him.

I took on Spring Mat 002, honestly was oustanding. His class was dinamic, intensive and progressive. He is extremely patience. I love it!I highly recomend this professor. He is the of the best! A.O

He is a university type professor in the sense of which there is uncertainty on the material presented on the test(trick test ?s), vague and unclear teaching lectures, and a sense of isolation towards his students. I suggest learning everything you can from the oral lectures to book homework. Prof. Cabezas should assist him on mathematics pedagogy.

Completely disagree with the comments but not the ratings of the prior respondent. Mr. Taylor is an excellent professor who challenges you in exams and has high expectations from all students. Expect to learn statistics by doing homework and fully participating in his lectures. I consistently received A's in the exams by taking these measures.

Go into his class with a strong math background. I got an A in the class bc I practically lived in the math lab. I didn't learn much from him; goes too fast. Math majors do well in his class but us math-incompetent people will struggle. He also doesn't return emails. On the bright side, he drops a test grade and takes attendance into consideration.

He goes a little fast, but he gives you sample questions that are simular to the test questions. I also took him for mac 2233.If I had to grade him I would give him a B+ which is better than most math professors at MDC.

He is a wonderful teacher. I took all my math classes with him and got an A in all of them. He is very professional, courteous, and helpful. If you don't pass his class... you're just plain lazy!

He is very clear, doesn't collect HW and allows you to miss one exam and replace it with the next exam's grade.

Anyone knows if he requires lab hours or you need the book code? I know someone said here he does not require the book. I am consider taking him. I am not good at Math but I need this class to graduate for the BSN in Nursing.

In my opinion, he is a good professor.If he's going too fast, if you stop and ask him a question he will be patient and explain it over.I used the book maybe only twice,& the study guides were extremely helpful, so I managed to get an A.Also go over the examples he does in class. He also lets you use formula sheets & he gives extra points on exams.

Lectures are difficult to understand. You must STUDY THE TEXTBOOK on your own & do the homework assignments even if they're not graded! Can't stress that enough. It's good practice for the tests! If you are not strong in math & do not put in the effort, you will not do well. Other than that, he's lenient, nice, willing to help, & gives out reviews.

The first 2 exams weren't that easy,basically I failed the 2nd but the 3rd and final...EASY. Allows retake.But you HAVE to review all the study guides,go over them at least 2 times.He also drops the lowest grade,lets you use formula sheets..for final he even let us use the book.I ended up with an A.&&gave us 2 extra credit ?s on the final.

He is a fair professor. His class is boring but he does teach. The trick for his exam is to review his study guide. If you actauly review it you will pass his class.

The best professor I ever had

IF YOU CANT MAKE IT TO CLASS DO NOT WORRY. THERE ONLY LIKE 6 TEXT NO HW OR CLASSWORK HE JUST EXPLAINS THE MATERIAL HE ALWAYS SEND A REVIEW AND THEN THE FOLLOWING CLASSES HE MAKES STUDENT CHOOSE AN EXERCISE AND HE SOLVES IT SO NO ONE IS CONFUSE. YES HE DOESNT GO INTO DEPTH INTO EACH TOPIC BECAUSE STUDENTS SHOULD KNOW THAT AND MORE.

Excellent professor, if you are good in math is an essay A. Text book not require. 3 test and final optional.

Only problem with him was that he has a monotonous voice but you get used to it. I took it in an 8 week mini term. Only 3 tests and the final. Tests are like 20-25 questions long, multiple choice. No calculator allowed. Homework is online. He honestly tries his best to make students know the content, always open to questions.

Taking him currently for business calculus. It's a hard class, especially for a once a week. I got a tutor because it would have been impossible to understand. I have a terrible algebra background. He's very nice but it's but it's not an easy class. He tends to expect students to know steps which makes it more confusing. Study hard

Professor Cleveland knows his stuff very well, he also teaches at FIU and I've taking classes with him since MAC1147, Calculus 1 and Calculus 2. You need to study a lot. Textbook is not required neither the attendance. At first, he looks intimidated but he's a very nice professor. Study hard and you will pass!!!!!!

Extremely great professor. He makes class fun - does a good job teaching and keeping the air light. He stays after class to offer further explanations to individual students, so long as they come on their own will. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone, math or non-math oriented.

Math is not my strong suite but he made the class very interesting and painless to understand. He keeps a few calendars, but once I got the hang of it everything is very organized and easy to keep on top of due dates, which is vital to me. I'm grateful I got the opportunity to be his student. He kept the work load manageable despite being summer.

He is not a bad professor at all. I took him and is really an easy A, he gives you homework but you do it if you want to, it will not be graded but will be useful for your future tests. The class is based in 3 test and a final. He gives you a study guide for every test. What he gives you in the study guide is basically the test. Fair.

Not a bad professor. He could work little bit more on his social skills, but good professor, explains everything step by step. His class is 3 exams and a final, before each exam he sends a study guide that is similar to the exam, which is good. And a couple online hw on Pearson. I took him for MAT1033 as well, he uses the same schedule basically.

He is such a great teacher, only problem I almost feel sleep :'). He is sweet and hilarious, jokes for the class, liked the way he wrote everything on paper, and I was like doesnt he get tired of writing, my hand was hurting! he likes students to write notes! lol anyhow 20 questions each test, not an easy A study do the hw will count for the grade

This professor was easily accessible since this class was taken online due to the pandemic. He has reviews for every exam and very similar to the exam to help you focus on whats being taught. Always answers emails and reminds you of assignments coming up and gave extra credit. Not great with math but I recommend this professor, great guy!

I happen to like math, so I don't know how much credibility I have to anyone who doesn't, but this professor was great. I took his class online and taught things to myself with what he provided; I used the online textbook but honestly could've done without it. I need extra time for tests and he gave it to me with no problems whatsoever... Take him!

Hi again. I'm the person who just wrote about the extra time that I was granted with no problems; I didn't have space to write one more thing I wanted to. Professor Taylor uses two calendars, and as long as you know about them both, they're easy to keep track of. I would suggest: Check both Blackboard and Pearson calendars the first week of class!

He is a great professor, but you have to pay attention; participation matters. Be ready to do a lot of HM,4 Tests, and the final in the school. He gave us a review of the questions we were supposed to have in the final test.

If you want to learn, he is the one. There were four quizzes, the final in-person(YOU CAN USE YOUR CALCULATOR), and many HW, but he is friendly and sweet; take him.

Don't understand why this outstanding professor has a 3.1 Average. He is tough but extremely thorough and extremely fair. I took most of my Mathematics requirements with him and he was next level, good. Inspirational and knowledgeable. If you failed to learn, please redirect your displeasure to the closest mirror.

It was an honor to be in Dr. Taylor's class. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. He also has a good sense of humor, which he shows during class. Students have to study, though. He is not an easy A; be prepared for 4 tests plus a final exam. Lot of homework throughout the semester, which he considers for the final grade.

This class is graded by 4 quiz and a final exam.. He won't give you any extra credit. If you don't have strong algebraic and geometry background, avoid at all cost.
