I consider him to be a very good teacher, his class is fun and his explanations are very clear.

Professor Young is an inspiration to the grand majority of 'us'. His interest in his students is unparallel at a community college, and he is always seeking a way to up your gpa. I definately recommend him for any social studies coures.

To the student who is 'totally bored', I actually wrote the comment that is before yours, and I'm a student in his Social Environment class.(Professor Young wrote the comment before mine.)It's upsetting that lower level students can bash a great teacher.

He's a great teacher, I love his class because there are discussions open to any oppinion. He gets concerned when his students are not doing well and tries to find methods to improve their grades by making them work.

IN MY OPINION HE IS VERY CLEAR ON HOW YOU CAN GET AN A IN THE CLASS. THE ONLY THING IS THAT YOU HAVE TO DO ALOT OF WRITTING AND READING. THE ONLY THING THAT I DISAGREED WITH HIM IS THAT HE WOULD GIVE US OUR REVIEW SHEET TO LATE. HIS DICUSSIONS CAN BE FUN.

Awsom Teacher

Very easy class. Lets you use notes on all of the tests. An 85% average on all 3 tests is an A. Gives you extra-credit if you are there everyday. He is very funny and is clear. He even gives you stidy guides that you can use on the tests. I recommend him.

You have to do extra credit to get an A which I think is pretty stupid, why not assign it? I was very suprised though when I got an A and my calculated grade was a B. I don't know what to say!

his talks are on the topics which are from the books!! though you have to study, this isnt highschool, just to refresh you of whats going on, but come on just because you have to work doesnt make a teacher bad, you earn the grade, its not givenyou dumbass

I'm taking this class, and I like it a lot. You use all the notes for tests, but you have to understand different concepts.I think he's a funny teacher.All you do in class is talk. To get a good grade you need to participate,and do service learning.

He is a good teacher, he actually makes history intersting, all his exams are open notes, he gives u a studt guide & the questions to the test come straight out from the study guide... BUT u need to do service learning in order to pass his class with a A, and the more extra credit u do the better!

Ok this was the first A i have ever gotten in history. It takes hard work in his class but if you do the extra credit you can get a good grade. I got all 2 bs and one C on the test and still managed to get an A by doing the extra credit. Awesome teacher and I learned a lot. Very nice and interesting

He is a great teacher, he makes history fun... he's a super nice teacher, and you could use all your notes for the tests! ... i totally recommend him! you'll enjoy the class

He is a good professor. If he see's that you're not doing too good in his class, he'll allow you to do extra credit. His test require alot of reading both from the book and from his lectures. Teaches at the Kendall Campus.

Super cool guy! Knows tons about what he is talking about. Much help is offered if needed. No way you can fail... but, exams demand studying and reading. remember that the book has important stuff too-not just his lectures.

Great teacher ! Notes off powerpoint presentation, four tests, four 500 word papers, open notes for test. Just go to class and your good. And listen!

GREAT TEACHER! A must to take! Does a powerpoint presentation. He makes the class extremely interesting. I hated history before his class, now love it! I would take him again if I could. Only catch is that you probably won't get an A unless you do service learning. Only 20 hours though. Do it!!!!

well I have this teacher now for the summer b term and let me tell you he is very picky and strict you cannot bring drinks in class or chew gum in this professor class and his syallubus is very long like 3 till 4 pages and he is very bored so i suggest you run away from this professor

I had this guy for 2 of my classes. HE gives so much opportunity for extra credit. You have to be a lazy ass to not get an A. The only problem is that he is very liberal, and can some times offend people.

Great teacher, gives notes on powerpoint just show up, take good notes, and do service learning and you will pass with an A or B.

I had this guy twice and both times I passed with an A. He does talk a lot- but if you show up and take good notes you'll pass. The test comes right from the study guide.

i had him in the summer and we took aloooooot of notes but he;s mad funnyy.. and his test are exactly what you have in the notes and he lets you do open notes test.. he's not that hard... you needa go to class every day since it was all compressed into 6 weeks, but you can always leave early! lol.. he's cool i recommend him......

He is a great teacher and cares about all his students. He likes to make jokes and that the students know the facts so that he can speed his way through the Notes. HE IS GREAT. TAKE HIS CLASS

He lectures straight from Power Point Presentations, just take down those notes and answer the questions of the Exam Reviews. He lets you use these notes for the tests. He's very nice, and I found all his exams extremely easy, hello?!? you get to use the notes! The answers are right there.

Very good teacher. Makes the class more interesting. Gives lots of extra credit. Let's you take notes into tests. There is no reason you can't do good in this class. Just show up and be responsible. He's great

This class is so interesting, you learn a little bit about everything. The tests are "open-notebook", so you can see all your notes. There are 4 tests of 40 questions each. If you study the book and notes, you are going to do well in this class.

Prof. Young is an excellent instructor. He is always willing to give you extra help during his office hours. The test are open note and he gives you a study guide well in advance, if you actually take the time to make sure the info is in your notes you will do well.

Prof. Young is GREAT! He makes the class very easy and interesting! You can use all the notes you want on the test. You can copy the book itself and use it on the test! He is very nice and interested in seeing his student succeed.

This guy really knows his stuff. Although some of the topics can be boring, he makes it as interesting as possible, plus he lets your use your notes on the test. so take him if you can.

I had a blast in this class! Class discussions were always very interesting and he always makes it new! I recommend him anyday! I got an A with no problem. The lectures are exactly what will be on the Tests so you know what to expect. Don't miss too much class or it will hurt your grade! Take the class.

This teacher was great! The only thing is that you actually have to work. Don't take this class if you are lazy, lets just put it that way. I passed this class with an A cuz I did my stuff. I would take him again, for sure!

A wonderful man. He is funny. Only professor able to keep me awake in history, this was history after 1877. Notes on tests, yours and what he gives you.

Interesting, slightly left-wing biased class. Take it if youre a liberal-youll love it, trust me. If not (like me), its still a fun class. To ace the class, take good notes from the powerpoints & do the bottom half of the study guide (the part from the textbook) to use on the open-notes exams & do the service learning or the book report.

He is a good teacher! His class is almost impossible to fail. He gives a lot of extra credit and you can use his study guide that he emails you on your test! there is a book report of service learning project involved but it really helps your grade and its easy! He is very nice and gives extra points for attendance, if you see him during his office

He is a funny professor. He has a lot to talk in class. He would like students to engage in any discussion. But his tests/exams are hard. He won't put exact information from the notes to the tests. Yet he allows you to use your notes in exams. A very good tip: Before tests, go to his office and check your answers to the study guide with him.

Young was a great teacher. You are expected to read the text and take notes; wait til he gives u the study guide then search each point in the chapters from the book. Take clear notes from this n the PP's, you can use them in the 4 tests. Drops lowest test grade; comm. service project; take him; great teacher!

This professor is great I was doing bad in his class and he helped me out. The best way to get an A in his class is get a good group of people and do the work. Once you get his reviews for the test make sure you take good notes it helps you do well. Also he lets you use your notes for the test.

He knows hes stuff and hes very interesting.However hes tests are extremely hard!You are not required 2 b in a group 4 da class but u should. I wish all my professor were like him: smart and knowledgeable but also fun. Class is not necessarily easily but its definitely not hard. If you actually read the textbook chapters and do the optional study group for tests then you'll do really great.

Dr. Young knows his material really well. His lectures are NOT boring at all and are very interesting. He even lets you use your notes for the test, so be sure to take notes. A service learning project or book report is required. he taught me some moments in history that I have never came across in my studies in my old days before college.

Seriously the best professor at Kendall Campus. All I had to do was go to the class, copy his PowerPoint and maybe read them before the exams. he lets you use your notes for every test. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

I had him for 2020 as well I got a B in that class, but barely. I had like an 89 or something. Very easy class. Now I have him for IS, and its even easier I have like a 95. Study the reviews he gives you and your golden. Easy A, nice guy. Take any of his classes and study a little and you'll get at least a B.

Doesn't teach much at all. He puts notes on a power point and reads them off. ALL OPEN NOTES TESTS.

His class is extremely easy if you go to every class! Just copy the notes and he lets you use them in the tests so if you pay attention and copy everything you'll get an A for sure.

Interesting lectures but the book sucks to read. He his super nice and knowledgable. You can tell that he loves what he is doing and wants you to love it too. Make sure you're there every class to take notes and make sure you do book notes cause that is all the class is based on --Open book tests!

Professor Young is a really cool and funny guy. His exams are all open note, but the questions are mostly based off of his in-class lectures - not the textbook material - therefore, you need to make sure to take good notes while he speaks. Don't take his class if you're prone to skipping and zoning out during lectures.

for everyone that says his class is hard, they dont do the study guide... his test are open notess!!! everything in the powerpoint and study guide is on the test!... hes a cool guy and nice. just try not to miss class so you can have the class notes. Hes awesome

This guy is so straight up and hilarious lol. He drops some funny lines often during his lectures and i just loved the way he said things. Only con about this class though is that i thought the tests were a little confusing since they didnt really reflect the notes. Other than that, the class is chill. listen and take notes from the powerpoint.

I love Clifford Young!! He is the man!! He really cares, his lectures are interesting and his tests are easy- assuming you've been paying attention. I'm not a big fan of history but LOVED his class x)

His test aren't easy, so I do recommend doing the study guides. i reccomend taking the test in groups. its pointless to take notes because his lectures are behind, so you'll need the book. On the bright side, he's a nice teacher, if you attend class and participate you'll enjoy it. I recommend him though!! Hes oretty cool and funny.

his jokes arent too funny but since he laughs at all of them it made me giggle. he is open minded and the exams were on angel about 10 questions each on a short amount of time. i passed with an A but it was a bit difficult. he does help if you need it.

I love professor Young! Great professor but test are a bit difficult make sure to read his chapters and take notes in class. He will help you out and throw in some extra credit if you would ever need it. Overall I enjoyed his class ! If you love history he's your guy !

Good professor. Knows the material and teaches it well. Need to do the reading and know or learn how to write to do well, but it is a college class so if that were not so it would be a waste of time and money. Not easy but fair grader.

Professor Young is a trip, he makes the class the least boring possible! He's such a jokester, only thing is you have to read the book to pass the class. I chose to do the service learning assignment, which I didn't mind whatsoever. There isn't a point for attending class but he does count it against you. So I would! You won't be disappointed. GL!

Minus the tests in the blended-course. DO THE STUDY GUIDES. They really do help boost up your grade. and do ALL of it, not just the ones you were assigned to your group. Also just beware that some students take advantage over you and don't do crap, so do your work and do it right because he gives an excellent grade for your hardwork.

this professor is quirky and knowledgable. He has a great sense of humor and really wants you to pass. He tells history like a story and keeps you entertained. You have to go to class and unfortunately work in groups a lot. Be careful to be in a group with lazy students! I would definitely take him again as his test are straight from the class.

He gives 4 tests online which are identical to his study guides. 3 essays which are very simple about 500 words each. Attendance is mandatory and it helps your grade. Group presentations every week on one question from the study guide per group. You can get full credit for saying just 2 sentences. Amazing class. Interesting lectures. Easy A.

I personally think he's a great professor. You get placed in groups and are assigned one topic a week to discuss about. Everything you need to know is in the book. 4 tests with study guide topics. And finally 3 easy essays. I've taken him twice and I love his classes. His lectures are clear and easy to understand. Just read and you'll pass easy.

Good teacher. I just wish he would change he teaching style because he started assigning group projects which slowed down the class and I never really ended up learning much from them. I would rather ave him lecture and teach us about the history. Very interesting professor
