Clint is a great teacher who likes to have a good time. Go to class and do the work and you will get a good grade. Remember if your taking scuba take it b/c you want to... it is recreational not required.

Laid back and easy to get along with. Expect to get a laugh out of him and an A if you show up, because he will teach you what your need to know and still be in a good mood about it.

Clint is the man! Everyone needs to take SCUBA! As long as you go to class and read the book you will get an A. I plan on taking EVERY scuba class ECU has to offer.

Clint is GREAT! Not only is he hot he is really helpful in both the classroom and the pool. Loved taking his class and even though I'm not a good swimmer did great overall. Just remember if you drop a scuba tank, go towards the light.

Clint's classes are the best.If you need help just ask...he's a busy man so you may need to ask more than once.Persistance is key.He'll bend over backwards to help you.As long as you're not completely stupid, and are somewhat competent, you'll get an A.

Clint is very helpful and enthusiastic about what he does. I recommend him to anyone that is interested in learning how to scuba dive.

If you get lower than an A in this class your just too dumb to tie your shoes. Everything is crystal clear and to the point. read the book pay attention to the skills and be nice to the TA's, they grade you too. offshore dives are so much fun!

Clint is awesome, if you don't like him im guessing you have no sense of humor. He really knows his stuff too, he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Scuba is also the coolest class ever.

This class is awesome! Underwater airplanes, buses, cars, rock crushers - SCUBA will be one of the most informative and interesting classes you will ever take. Also, having eyecandy for an instructor is a bonus. ^.~

Take MIKE! Clint is extremly cocky and full of himself. Class average right now is in the 70's. Not a bad teacher but makes the class way more difficult then it needs to be. you can get a scuba cert in a few weekends easy. He takes it TO seriously. NOT an easy A! Clint is awesome. Text book is written at a 6th grade level and he practically hands you the answers. I made a 91 on the midterm (b/c he read it to us) and expect close to that on the final. He takes it seriously b/c he is teaching you how to survive under 60ft of water!!!!!! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone wanting to try SCUBA diving!

This was an awesome class, Clint knows a ton about scuba diving. Alot of the material you have to learn may not seem important but he's go a story to show how it is very important. He is fairly strict about knowing how to do certain skills, but he is willing to work with you as long as you try. Read the book, follow his rules and class is a breeze!

TAKE CLINT! HE KNOWS HIS SHIT! Yes, he can be cocky and full of himself but you learn so much! He's cocky for good reason! This class was so easy, one night a week, quizzes every class session and the pool sessions were amazing! I am now Master Diver certified thanks to Clint. Best class I've ever taken at ECU

Clint was a great instructor! probably the best diving instruction you could get anywhere, honestly. Yes, he's strict but with good reason..if I had to teach 100+ students every week on how to dive without killing themselves I probably wouldn't be the nicest person all the time either. Towards the end he's a lot of fun! TAKE HIM, he knows his stuff

Clint really tries to make the course more about learning than about the letter grade. If you take the course seriously he will make you a very well prepared & skillful diver. I've learned a great deal from him & can see a lot self-improvement in my skills from being in his class. I feel much more confident in my diving ability. Highly recommend!

Funny guy super easy A if you follow the syllabus. Just make sure you read the syllabus everything is on there it is just easy to miss assignments cause he wont warn you for upcoming due dates.

Expects you to do your part in the classroom and the pool, very clear in deadlines. Don't miss days it will put you behind and costs you to make it up. I would take it again

I absolutely loved this class. It was a little harder than expected and it's a class that makes you challenge yourself but it's totally worth it. Clint is a cool guy, he's clear on what he expects from his students, cares about what he is teaching and doesn't put up with bs. My favorite class I've taken at ECU!

The syllabus spells it all out from the very beginning. If you read it and track the big due dates, this class is an easy A. Clint comes off as a little scary to some people, but scuba diving can be very dangerous so he needs to ensure you listen to him. The EXSS classes will be KINE now so sign up for KINE2278 now!

Clint provides a syllabus the very first day of class that explains, IN DETAIL, every single assignment that is expected. (It's a short list). However, if you miss any of the deadlines by even 1 minute then you receive a 0. The grading criteria is lenient enough to allow for one missed grade so it works out as long as you pay attention.

Clint is a very clear professor who will teach you a lot more than you would learn in a regular certification course. He is all about safety and learning the material thoroughly because he HATES people he sees diving who can't take care of themselves. He will be hard on everyone, but for good reason because diving is very dangerous. A is a given!

Clint is a very straight forward guy, he tells you exactly what he expects from you and as long as you do what he asks you will have a good time. He can seem a bit grumpy at times, its just best to let him be and he gets better as class goes on. Overall the class is very enjoyable, scuba diving is something that few people get to experience.

Clint is an awesome guy. He explains everything and makes sure you are perfectly comfortable with everything. Never ever pressures you to keep diving if you feel scared or worried. Exams are very to the point and the class was really fun. I would take any class that he is teaching. Super super chill and understanding that life happens.

He is a great teacher but he is definitely straight forward with you. Don't expect the language to be completely clean but that's what makes it fun. Straightforward teacher and really makes sure you know your material. Just do what he says and you'll be fine. GO TO EVERY CLASS.

As long as you do what is explicitly asked of you you're basically guaranteed an A. This is SCUBA diving though, don't bother taking the class if you're afraid of water/"can't" float etc. all of the out of class work is completed during the first and last two weeks of the course. Come to class prepared to get wet! Clint doesn't take BS

Fantastic teacher and course. If you are even moderately interested in diving I would recommend taking this. It gives you a huge range of possibilities to further your education. Also Clint makes the course interesting in itself!

NO WAY POSSIBLE I WOULD BE SCUBA CERTIFIED WITHOUT CLINT! He's hilarious and doesn't MAKE you do anything in the water you don't want to! He encourages you to step outside of your comfort zone! You have to put in the work but this class was so much fun, and don't worry Clint is NOT mean as he seems :)

I took Scuba diving just for fun and I'm sure glad I did. Clint was a great professor and made me love the sport. You can tell he loves what he does and teaches the class with such enthusiasm. Yes, the class was challenging but challenging for the right reasons! I mean scuba diving NEEDS to be taught well for obvious reasons and this man does it!

I was told to take Clint's class for scuba, and I'm glad I did. He is a great teacher and truly cares about his students safety. He is very knowledgeable about diving and wants his students to have fun. I had a great time in this class and I highly recommend anyone who has an interest in scuba to take Clint's class!

Clint cares about his students and gives plenty of opportunities for you to get an A+ in the class. At first he seems stern and no fun but once the class starts it gets fun. He is going to be straight up and not sugarcoat anything that could possibly happen to you. I completely recommend taking his course.

Clint is a great guy and a great professor. Those that complain about his teaching style are either 1. lazy or 2. lazy. Only reason I got a B in the class is because I was lazy (lol). Everything is in the syllabus, many opportunities to get an A, and he always gives good feedback. Plus SCUBA is fun! Also, Clint is easy on the eyes. 10/10

There is nobody else I would have wanted to learn scuba diving from. He takes very good care of his students and makes sure that you know the skills that it takes to dive. Everything that you could have a question about is in the syllabus you have to read it and do what it says. He explains everything thoroughly. Just be willing to put the work in.

Clint was a fantastic professor for this class. The only to fail this class is to not show up so if you do that and don't completely suck at the skills you're supposed to know, you're fine. Clint is very funny and relatable and will tell you how it is. If you suck, he'll tell you you suck. Period. If you want to scuba dive, take this class.

Taking Scuba Diving was the best decision! Clint is an awesome professor. The class is physically challenging but worth the experience. I would recommend this class to everyone who likes to swim and is looking for an adventure.

Great professor

One of my best professors by far! He's tough on you and wants to make sure you understand what your doing but I wouldn't want it any other way because there are inherent risks with diving and not knowing is not an option.. If you do it right you can get certified and continue on with the key largo trip and get your advanced cert after the class.

Best class I have ever taken, challenged me to persevere. Would not have learned anything close to what I have without Clint. He is exceptionally skilled and will do anything he can to help you succeed and become a confident diver. Diving 100+ feet with sharks is the coolest thing I have ever done. Much respect for Scuba diving and for Clint.

If you want to learn how to SCUBA dive and learn from the best while getting an easy A and have a great time while you're at it, take Clint. He is the absolute best in his field and bends over backwards to ensure you succeed. I have a 4.0 and the other reviewer that lost theirs must be an idiot. You have to try hard to get lower than an A.

Only way to fail this class is to forget you signed up for it... or have an IQ below 40... Clint is awesome. Great sense of humor, gives honest feedback, wants everyone to succeed and be safe. Clint is great. The class is easy, but it can be physically demanding if you're not a decent swimmer. At first he comes off as brash, but it's just to make sure that the people that can't keep up don't get themselves killed. At the end of the day Scuba is a dangerous sport, but I would say it is completely worth it and Clint made it awesome.

Clint is a great teacher. Even the class lectures are pretty interesting if you have no foreknowledge about SCUBA. SCUBA diving is a very unique new experience-i'm grateful to have taken this class. physical side has challenges but any moderately healthy student should have no issue. Be smart, safe, study a tiny bit and you will do well.

Clint is a great instructor when you give him the chance. Come to class ready to learn, scuba is a serious but fun activity and is definitely worth the hours! Clint takes his teaching seriously and wants you to thrive once you are on your own.

He prepares you well for the challenges of the course. Scuba diving can be dangerous if procedures aren't followed and he explains the dangers clearly and provides real world examples from his experience. He shows he cares about his students and can ask any question but will not tolerate students not following safety procedures.

If you put in the work that is required to be a good scuba diver, you will pass.Dont be stupid and read all directions as well as listen to him and you will be fine. Extra credit is offered and he does everything he can to help you succeed. Accessible at almost all hours on GroupMe. Very personable guy and probably the best class I've ever taken!
