Clive is the coolest most educated and clear history teacher I have ever had. He makes assignments easy to understand and class fun. He also tells you almost exactly what you need to study for each test.
Clive is real cool. He wants his class to be understnadable, and fun. He shows funny videos too. If he was teaching 1302 i would take him. He is very educated and knows his stuff. He gives review sheets too.
great teacher, very in-depth and knowledgable about subject. somewhat corny, but overall a wonderful teacher
Clive is one of the coolest teachers ive had. He is soooo easy, basically tells you exactly whats on the test with his study guide which is exactly whats on the tests! Highly recommend Clive!!!! He is also a funny guy.
Extremely well educated individual, with vast amount of knowledge in history. Very clear in his teaching style, and easy to understand. Funny guy. As long as you take thorough notes on his lectures and do his review, you'll do great. I am currently in his class as of right now, and I look forward to his class every Mon. and Wed. Great professor and great guy.
A very good instructor. Very knowledgable and easy to follow. Make sure you take detailed notes.
i enjoyed taking my first college history class with him. he has a good sense of humor, the class was very relaxed. i recommend him if you're considering him for 1301.
very very in depth! if you do not take good notes i would either not take him or use a tape recorder. you have to have to take super good notes to pass his class. all his test are based on his lectures. he is nice but i had a very hard time during his class.... but if he see's your trying your hardest he will help you pass
4 test, final is not comprehensive. Test is easy as long as you take a good note and do review before the test. Not really hard thought. I am a foreign language student and get an A grade, So do you. Really study and learn HIST US. Take him if you want to learn, to know about US
GREAT TEACHER!!! IF YOU WANT AN EASY A TAKE THIS CLASS, TESTS ARE EXACTLY WHAT NOTES ARE ABOUT AND HE ALWAYS GIVES YOU A STUDY GUIDE!!!
Clive G. Siegle is an excellent professor. I would love to be able to take another class with him.
Prof.Siegle IS THE BEST!!! I took his class on campus and it was very fun and intresting. This teacher knows history and will help you out no matter what. I would DEFINETELY RECOMEND HIM!!!
Dr. Siegle is awesome; knowledgeable, funny and fair. Don?t miss a single class; each one is a data dump of material, hard to recover if you miss. Teacher of the Year; makes you feel patriotic again!
Mr. Siegle knows his stuff. He is a Great Teacher and I would recommend that you take his class and learn alot. I enjoyed taking his 1301 class and looking forward to 1302. Thanks Mr Siegel for making History learning interesting.
This is an easy class!!! He gives you the best notes in power point form and the test are just like the notes! Great with helping and answering any questions.
Mr. Clive excellent teacher. I made an A.The test are exactly off the power points. My friend even skipped class like 10 times because of the power points are so clear and still made an A.If you study hard and pay attention in class you will defiantly make an A. Pretty easy class it just depends how much time you invest in it. he's cool but corny
Professor Siegle is probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. He has a lot of passion for history and it's great! The class is great because you have 4 test and they are over power points he shows during class and emails them after, there is no other assignments unless you do his extra credit project. Great Professor!!
Funny guy, makes the class less boring. If you like history, then this is your class bc he explains things clearly and in a fun and interesting way. He does have reviews for each test, but to me it seemed most of what is on the review was not on the test. Also, lots of maps to do on the test. I'm terrible at maps which is what I think hurt me.
This guy is funny in class and he lectures in a way which keeps you interested. He cracks jokes here and there for fun. I did not buy the text book, all of his test are straight from the power point of which, he gives you a review to study from also. I took his class during the summer, fabulous teacher. He also teaches at SMU. Fun history class.

This man will most likely be your best professor of your college years. I just had him for Summer I, and I don't think it's possible to top this guy. Funny and excited about what he teaches. Gives you study sheets with what you need to know for tests. Doesn't pull any curveballs, and teaches what's important. Can't say enough good about him.
great professor, very passionate about history and he cracks a couple of jokes every so often to keep the class interested, which they were, despite the fact that the class was at 7:30 in the morning. awesome teacher, highly recommended.
He is one of the best teachers you will have for history. He keeps the class interesting! His grade fair and he always gives opportunities for extra credit. He is very funny!
Very helpful and quirky!
Best professor ever, too easy all you have to do is show up. Guaranteed A
Best History Professor ever. Did not even try and still got an A he is funny knows his stuff and well I highly recommend you take this class with the best.
Clive Siegle was an AWESOME teacher! He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject. I took his class for 1301 this summer. I did not use the book, however you need it if you want to be able to answer the bonus questions on the test. power point for his notes. He also gave out study guides that reflected the test! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
As the semester progressed the class only got better. He gave handouts of Lincoln's second inaugural speech and brought Civil War weaponary to class. Clive took history to another level. His test reflected his study guides. Fantastic teacher but also a great person.
Wonderful prof! Gave colorful lectures! Love the human interests part of it! Gave out study guides that was easy to do, and tests was directly from the study guide questions. All straightforward! No twist or turn with this prof, he tells you it you straight! Easy A if you just listen in class and do your assignments. Awesome professor!
Prof. Siegle is the one of, if not, the best teacher I have ever had. He makes learning fun and comprehensible. He is also very positive and a great person. He brings artifacts to class and gives you detailed study guides for all the exams. I will miss him and wish he could be my teacher for all my classes
He is great! A very funny guy you will never be bored in class. Just study the powerpoints, read the textbook and you got an A.
Professor Siegle is by far the best instructor i have ever had! He cares about your grade! Not only is he amazing at explaining everything clearly, but the fact that he gives you detailed study guides! These study guides are the exact same thing you will see in your exams! HIGHLY RECOMENDED!Take him before his class gets full!!!
Professor Siegle is one of the best at Richland. He teaches passionately. He has time for you after class. Study guides and powerpoints are going to be on the test. You just gotta study those and make an A. He is a very nice and knowledgable professor. I love his class.
LOVE this Prof! He is so nice and caring. He also LOVES history which is great. His eyes light up when he's teaching. Took him for 1301 and 1302. Got A's in both. Make print outs of his power points to follow along in class and use as study guides.
I liked Mr.Siegle. For someone his age he has a lot of charisma and he likes teaching history. He lectures A LOT and half the time the stuff he would talk about was not going to help you on the test. At first with his tests I struggled to understand how to go about taking them and then I finally got the hang of it. With his tests he tells the clas
The best professor I have ever had at Richland. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Take This Class.
Best Prof ever! He is absolutely wonderful! I'd recommend him to anyone. Just follow what he says in class, take notes and do the test review (extra credit) for the tests! If you do all those things, you'll pass. Easy!
Great professor. Extremely knowledgable and helpful. Provide same academia level he does at SMU. He helped me regrade my own test when I lost my brother and my grades fell to F. I highly recommend him as a professor and a connection at SMU.
Where do I start. He is an amazing professor of History. No other History professor compares to him, he is the best. His lectures and powerpoints he uses are so helpful in understanding what we are learning in his class. He is funny, always approachable, and very friendly. I highly recommend him to anyone needing to take either history 1301 or 1302.
He is a great professor. He loves what he does. If you do the study guides the tests should be no problem. He is very friendly and approachable. I would definitely recommend him.
He is amazing! all you need to do is print out his study guides n do them in class during his powerpoints or on ur own time. Dont need to take notes, no book. Test=study guide=test :) A!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM ! THE TEST WERE PURELY OUT OF THE STUDY GUIDE, NO HOMEWORK NO QUIZ, ONLY 4 TESTS THAT WERE FROM THE STUDY GUIDE. THE ANSWERS TO THE STUDY GUIDE ARE ALL IN THE NOTES ONLINE. I DIDN'T THINK THAT HISTORY WAS THAT EASY !!!
Even though the class was just a lecture he does post the powerpoints and study guides on ecampus. The only reading from the book needed is for the extra points on the test, which is optional. And if more help is needed, he will gladly talk before or after class with you. I loved this class and am taking him again next semester.
To sum it up, he knows history extremely well and teaches us the same. If you come to class regularly, you will know what i mean. His exams are easy but you have to know about maps. Excellent professor, higly recommended.

Professor Siegle is one of my favorite teachers. He is always clear in his teaching and doesn't get off track. The study guides and maps (which are basically the whole test) are always posted on Ecampus so there really is no excuse for failing a test. It is an easy A as long as you study and pay attention in class. I highly recommend him!!
this class is really easy but its really boring at times :/ i get distracted, you might too. you have to print alot of papers of the internet pretty much all of the power points are based on the class. its better if you take a laptop or an ipad and just write notes there. much easier for you! :] if not you will need to print them out :/
He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject. All lectures are on Power Point and he puts them online. I printed out each chapter's notes, 9 slides to a page, and highlighted plus added notes during lectures. He gives extra credit questions on each test based on the special Texas sections of the book. I highly recommend him!
I took his summer class, 2 hours of lecture was BORING. I could literally count the number of heads on the table sleeping during class. Overall ,his class was straightforward/easy. I studied his powerpoint slides the night before and got As on the tests. Don't bother buying the textbook, all you need are his powerpoint slides he posts online!
this class is the easiest class ever. u only need the powerpoints and all the answers come from there and the maps. and his tests are all online. which makes it easy but dont try to cheat cuz the test will give u a zero. but over all u can use the powerpoints on ur phone and look up the answers. took his class both times 1301 n 1302!! love him!!
Prof. Siegle is very charismatic and funny. He is passionate about the subject and extremely thorough. He also takes his students success personally and loves teaching. He will remember you even in a huge class and go out of his way to help you succeed. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Siegle's class was one of the easiest I've taken. He's very nice but the class can be very boring on occasion. The tests are simple and come from the powerpoints.
Professor Siegle is my favorite overall instructor by far. He is very approachable and extremely knowledgeable in the course subject. It's easy to earn an A in his class just by listening to his lectures and powerpoints. No book necessary.
This was a very easy course he is very knowledgeable in what he is teaching and very pleasant, his class is based on four test all his lecture are online highly recommend him :)
Great teacher. I sit back in class as if I am listening to a story.. The story of American haha. Easy A, but I really learned about history. Work load is too easy, just study for the tests an hour or 2. Great teacher, I am taking him for History 2 soon. Take him.
He is very knowledgeable and passionate about history. He knows exactly what he is talking about and knows exactly how to express his thoughts. This class is really easy. I watch movies in his class, and I still got an A. When I decided to pay attention, I was in for a nice ride into History. He tells the story of our nation in depth, yet quick.
Great teacher.Mr. Siegle makes history fun and interesting opening a student mind up to a whole new world.i can honestly say i was never bored once in this class. I wish i need to take more history class so i could be in his class again. I learned so much. All you need to do to get an A is listen to the lecture and review the power points
Awesome professor. He had a sense of humor and told jokes during his lectures. He has traveled throughout his life, so he had many personal experiences to share with class. I took him twice and both classes were good for me. I could tell a lot of other students liked him too. I would definitely suggest this teacher!
I dont know what it is about this guy. Everyone else seems to like him but I can not quite get my hands on it. Ive made an A in every other history class in my life but I have a C in this one. Granted I can put a load of that on my part. If you have a schedule like mine working 60 hours a week while attending college full time, I dont recommend him
This guy is really passionate about what he teaches. On occasion he'll bring items that are relevant to what we are learning for example an old coin. Honored military veterans during class very respectable.
Astoundingly interesting and phenomenal teacher, very prepared and truly taught me the history of this time period. You do need to study about 3-5hr+ for each test but his study guides and lecture notes make this extremely easy.I missed a ton of class but I have yet to make less than a hundred per test completing his study guides.
Dr. Siegle is hands down the nicest and coolest old guy ever. He explains everything very clearly and barely looks at the power points, so you know he REALLY knows what he's teaching. I don't know anyone who doesn't like him. The exams are basically right off the study guide, so study and you'll get an A no doubt! Take this class!
Four tests, final is not comprehensive. Each test is made up of a written part (maps, vocab, matching) and an online part (multiple choice). As long as you pay attention and look over the powerpoints you should be fine. No extra stuff like discussion boards. He has a funny sense of humor but can get boring at times. Definitely recommend though.
He is the nicest teacher, although class can be boring, if you pay attention its actually interesting. He provides powerpoints, study guides, maps, chronological order. so if you do them, you will pass. You have half the test in-class and the other online. Study those maps and vocabulary, it could be 99.9% chance its the same exact thing on the test
By FAR one of the Greatest teachers I have came across! He lectures almost the whole class pd. but def knows his stuff, if you dont pay attention it may seem boring but if you do its interesting and hes quite funny. His 4 tests are easy if you do the study guides its pretty much the same thing that will show up on the test.TAKE HIS CLASS!! EASY A
Mr. Siegle is a very knowledgeable teacher! The amount of information he has about history seems endless. He manages to covers a lot of ground and goes into a good amount detail at the same time. His test are not difficult and he offers extra credit. If you find that his lectures are not too engaging, I recommend bringing coffee.
His class is probably the best history class I've taken in years. His study guide is basically the test, study it and you will earn atleast a B+
Professor Siegle is the definition of a wonderful teacher. When he comes to class he knows EXACTLY what he is going to talk about and he gets so excited during his lectures. You can really tell he loves history. His tests are the EXACT same as the reviews you really don't need to buy the book if you do the reviews and take notes. :)
The most lovely professor at Richland! Everyone should try and register for his classes. He is always telling curious facts about history that will make you want to become a historian like him. Basically, if you just go to his classes and pay attention, you'll pass. No homework! Just tests!
Cool guy, very nice and very passionate and very helpful, not a very hard class just you have to study and do the reviews or you most likely will not pass
MR SIEGLE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR HE LECTURES THE ENTIRE TIME BUT ITS VERY INTERESTING THIS PROFESSOR KNOWS HIS HISTORY 4 TEST MATCHING MAPS AND AN ONLINE TEST THAT ARE ALL MULTIPLE CHOICE DO YOUR STUDY GUIDE AND YOU'LL BE FINE
Professor Siegle is probably one of the best history teachers I've ever had in my life. He knows what he is talking about and he's extremely fluent on the subject. His study guide is basically the long version of the test, do the study guide and you will guarantee an A+. I recommend taking his course any day, any time.
I only rated because he said he wanted a chili pepper on here and was sad no one had gave it to him lol He's cool though, super easy, easy A, there's no way to fail.
Professor Clive is awesome, he is a very passionate teacher and loves his subject. His knowledge about history is made clear because he is so intelligent in the area. His test are very easy if you show up to class and he is very funny. Great teacher and very entertaining.
He knows his stuff and his passion for the subject is contagious. He is exactly what you'd expect a history teacher to be, and it's great. He brings in pieces of the past to engage you and makes greatawful jokes. He will touch on everything that you need to know for the class during his lectures.
If you follow his instructions, review the study guides and maps that are available in ecampus, then you will get A or better!! Just 4 tests. No quizzes. No assignments. You don't have to read the book except you need extra points
Best history professor ever
His lecture is almost like he's reading you a story. His light humor makes it a very fun class. Come to class regularly, do the study guide and read the power-points; thats everything you need for a guaranteed A. There is an oral history assignment that is best if done at least 2 months before hand. I will take NO ONE ELSE other than him.
My first professer, and by far my favorite. I've always loved history, and he made me love it even more. Hes's so passionate and engaging about history, he has the cutest sense of humor and he always answers any of your questions. I would take him for every class if I could. Take him and you wont be dissapointed.
I am gonna take HIST-1302 with this professor. He is amazing
You don't have to attend class regularly. Just taking the study guide before the test and do for the interview, you will get an A
He is the best Professor in the World. He is an 68 year old wise man very funny and really interesting how he teach the class. I totally recommend him
Best history professor ever.
Amazing professor !!
This is my second semester with professor clive and I am sad to see it go by so fast. He's lectures were really great, no homework, and he is an easy going teacher. You can really tell he genuinely loves history. I would definitely take him again. Plus he would wear a history themed tie to every class. Super cute!
Amazing teacher. He lectures until the very last minute of class, but manages to make the lectures interesting. There's 4 tests and an oral history interview. The study guides are exactly the same as the tests. Take him and you won't regret it. Easy B+ to A grade to get. Taking him again for HIST 1302!
Amazing teacher. He really has a passion for history which makes his lectures much more interesting. Fairly easy tests just make sure to take notes! Best professor ever.
All you have is four test and one project thats it. And he gives you the test online so print it out and fill it out during lectutres. But man this guy LOVES history sometimes i feel like he was born in the wrong era.
This class was basically story time for credit. He is so passionate about history and it shows. He incorporated both visual and hands on learning during his lectures. Whenever he had a personal artifact such as his Woolsworth catalog or an (empty) bottle of early 20th century medicine he passed it around and it made history more tangible.
he is one of the best and amazing History teacher I have ever met. Very interesting lectures and funny. Very grateful.
Class is very straight to the point. Honestly wouldn't mind taking it just to learn about history rather than for a credit.
I love professor Siegle! Have you ever had a teacher that totally changes your view on a subject. I used to think history is boring. Siegle lectures in a way that is like listening to the greatest story ever. Now make note fellow students that you have to study for the tests. Some found the tests hard. So keep that in mind.
This is a lecture class, so he talks a lot. Slides follow lecture and make taking notes much easier. While you can pass without showing up, you wont get an A. The extra credit only requires a little reading, and can make the diff between an A, or B on test day. There may be easier classes, but hey, you might learn something in this one.
Professor Siegle just loves history and you'll love it too, unless you fall asleep in class. He talks a lot and does powerpoint slides. His tests are pretty straight forward and attendance isn't a big thing just read over the powerpoints and you're good. Would take his class again!
His lectures are like his telling you a story which makes you interested in them. His tests are really similar to his study guide. An easy A
Professor truly knows how to explain history without the subject being overly boring. There were a total of four test, which he gives you study guides of everything that's going to be on the test. The test is split with a written and online portion. I didn't really read the book, but all the extra credit on the test is in the book. Good luck!
Prof Siegle made learning about the history of our nation fun and interesting, and he was never "stuffy" about it! There were 4 tests (the fourth test wasn't cumulative), plus an oral history interview. (Tip: Print out the study guides to write notes on in class! This makes note-taking easier.) Such a great prof! I'm definitely taking him for 1302!
Really a chill Professor. He is really funny at times and lectures are not boring at all. HE only has 4 tests which are easy and one major project which is also very easy.
AMAZING professor! Hands down the most intriguing, caring, and passionate professor I have EVER experienced. He makes the class interesting and tells history as a story. He made me fall in love with American history. I took him for 1302 after getting a C in 1301 with another professor and got and A so I took re-took 1301 w/ him and got another A.
Professor Siegel makes history interesting. He doesn't just go off a text book or his powerpoints. Brings neat historic items to share and provides you everything you need to pass his class in his study guides.
Really funny, and is very passionate about history. He puts test study guides online which are exactly like the tests, so you know exactly what to study.
GREAT PROFESSOR!!!! I took 1301 and 1302 with him and both times made an A! Pay attention to lecture, he gives hints on what's going to be on the test. Go to class, you'll learn things about him and history all at the same time! Also, a veteran that served in the Army. Thanks for his service to our country.
After taking Prof Siegle's 1301 class, I rushed to sign up for his 1302 class and was not disappointed. His 1302 course is the same as 1301 (4 tests based on ppt lectures & study guides). The textbook isn't *really* needed but he offers extra credit for the tests using the Texas questions in the textbook. Absolutely amazing prof!! Take his class!
Amazing, hilarious and thoughtful man
The only grades are the 4 tests. The final is just the test over the last few chapters. Half of every test is online and half is in class. If you do the study guides, they literally give you the word for word answers to tests. The answers to the study guides are word for word in the lecture ppts that he also provides on eCampus. Loved his lectures!
9/10 students would say history class is boring because of all the lectures and reading. But Mr. Siegle does his best to make lectures amusing. He is a silly lad, adding humor here and there, making his lectures worthwhile. The tests are very easy IF you follow the review he gives. Tests are almost identical to the review. Easy A!
Great professor. He tries to make the class interesting. He loves to lecture, so be prepared to hear him lecture after taking your test. He will not let you leave early. His reviews are very helpful for the test. You don't need a textbook, his powerpoint notes will get you through the class. I would take him again.
Everything was online. easy to talk to, and very nice person
His class is thorough in his lectures, and yet easy to follow. All his lecture material can be found online and his tests are fair. You can tell he enjoys his subject and it comes through when he speaks.
Took him for 1302 and wish I had taken him for 1301. Very smart and funny, his commentary makes the lectures entertaining. Only grades were 4 tests, but reviews help!!!!!
I was 13 yrs old when I started HIST 1301 and 14 during 1302 with Prof Seigle. He makes this class very interesting. I got an A both semesters. 4 exams and a report. If you fill out the study guide using the power points and study it, you should do fine. Only homework is to study. He LOVES history and you will love this class.
You want travel in time, take his class.
Took Prof. Siegle for Hist 1302 for Summer I, easy class. Study for your exams. He is a living historic, has amazing stories. Never boring ! He brings artifacts and other things from the past along with pics to share with his class. I really enjoyed Hist 1302, take him you will not regret it.
Great professor. Know the slides he has for the exams and that are enough.
Great professor!!
Such an amazing historian!!! Gives amazing lectures, and truly makes history enjoyable. He knows what he is talking about and if you listen and fill out the study guides... your set and ready to go for the tests. Take advantage of the study guides! Awesome professor, would take him again for sure :)
a spectacular teacher and great grader. he curves tests by not grading super harshly.
Siegle is by far the best professor I have ever had. I took his HIST 1301 and HIST 1302 HONORS course at the same time and looked forward to his class everyday. He provides all the information you need in his lectures (Extra credit for tests in textbook though) and he gives you study guides that match the text almost exactly. 11/10 would take again
2020 Clive Siegle for president. My god, he is so amazing you'll take a trip back to the early colonies of American settlers with his lectures. ALSO he is funnie than Joe Rogan, just saying.
Overall a good class, you can just do the study guides and pass the tests. The oral report is not that difficult if you actually work on it (actually kind of interesting). No homework. Mr. Siegle is pretty cool and has a lot of interesting stories. he LOVES history.
One of my all time favorite professors!
Good professor, a lot of studying for the test. But his reviews make it clear!
I have so many words to describe his lectures, it was such a wonderful experiencing being in his class. He is hilarious and genuinely knows the subject. Extremely sweet and helpful when the student needs it. The test are simple and if you do the reviews you will pass for sure. Lots of extra credit is given so I passed with more than enough points.
He is funny and extremely helpful. The tests are easy if you go through his reviews.
He knows his stuff and talks about his experience when he lived during the time period of this class. He is funny. He lectures in every class. Your whole grade is based off of 4 test and nothing more. The extra credit on tests come from the book, so read it if you want those extra points. He gives study guides for test and they are pretty helpful.
He makes the class a lot more enjoyable with his humor and the reviews help you with the tests.
Took him for summer 1 and honestly such a sweet man. He truly is passionate about history and thats something very important. Be mindful to write down notes on the lectures and do the study guides he has online so that they may help you do well on the test. You for sure will have to put work in the whole studying, but its not impossible.
Take this instructor for History 1301 and 1302 especially if youre able to take him for summer mesters. He is phenomenal! I cant praise him enough. History has always been dry for me but he will keep you entertained and the information sticks! He also doesnt take himself too serious and does make clever jokes. Very Educated and Entertaining!!!
I took this professor for HIS1301 and 1302 and his classes for both courses were easy and straightforward. Just do the study guides online and you will pass either with an A or B. He grades based off of 4 exams but in each one he gives the chance of extra credit which really helps out, his humor and jokes makes the monotone lectures pass by quickly
My god, my god. I was so lucky to be in his class. What a person. Words really cannot explain the greatness of this gentleman. One of the best character I've ever seen. Easy class, work on the study guides, everything on study guide comes on the exam. There are 4 exams and that's it! And one simple essay which is not graded, thats state requirement
Very passionate about history and conveyed that to his students. Tended to get going on non related rants during lectures because of it though. I had to get most of the critical information from the textbook and not his lectures. Very nice and excited to teach, just seemed like lectures were a waste unless you're just taking the class for fun.
Professor Siegle is one of my favorites! He tries to make his lectures as gripping as possible, and often succeeds. He might bring items relevant to his lectures. His tests are straight off the study guide, easy to understand, and extra credit at the end. I only opened the book for extra credit info on Tales of Texas and Richland college history.
Prof. Siegle gives test that is similar to study guide. I find his lecture boring but his grading is very clear and easy. You have to take part I test in class and part II online. He does not have any discussion board and homework except one big project at the end of the course.
Pretty good lectures; can be hard to stay engaged. He gives ch reviews, COMPLETE these for tests, very helpful. His language is a little bombast and grandiose, which can be overbearing sometimes, but he's real nice and sweet. There is extra credit. Test are both multiple choice and written (matching, maps). Simple but must pay attention to lectures
Mr. Siegle is one of the best History Professors at Richland. His teaching technique is unique, his lectures are amazing and keep you interested. Just listen to his lecture and you WILL pass. 10/10
No joke, my favorite professor I've ever had so far. His lectures were not only informative, but he also shared some of his own personal experiences from times in history. Test questions are directly from the study guides, so if you put in the effort, its really easy to pass. HIGHLY recommend him!
He is the most amazing professor I ever had. As non American his lecture was hard for me to understand because he uses irony, metaphor a lot in his lecture, but if you want to learn history and use it in your life take his class. By his lecture you will travel in time, and starting coming to contemporary age from ice age. Highly recommended.
Tests are a majority of the grade and are so annoying. You must carefully read the textbook and questions.
History is not my cup of tea. I took this professor for Summer I online and hands down the best professor for history. 4 major quizzes, no homework, only used the book for the maps. His lectures give you the information on the tests. He gives a study guide for each test. DO THEM!
Study the textbook for extra credit on the test. To pass the test use the power points to answer the questions on the review and gather information on all the key terms. Very easy to prep for. 4 tests and 1 major project that has 2 essays.
Professor Siegle is a very fun and energetic professor. Even through online, his lectures are very helpful and resourceful when it comes to taking tests. If you do your part and study, you'll be fine throughout the semester. Overall, he is quick with responses and is a very generous professor!
Tests are based on lectures, which is quite a lot but definitely helpful. There are only 4 grades for the whole semester. Professor Siegle is funny and inspiring which makes his lectures more interesting. You would wish to be in class, on campus, to see all his historical items.
Class is 4 tests (non-cumulative). There was an essay that was required but wasn't graded. He gave significant extra credit for the essay. Lectures are long and boring, but I stopped watching them after the first exam (online class). Study guides are provided and if you study them, you'll do great on the tests. Prof. replies to emails quickly.
There are only 4 main grades in the class, which are 4 big tests. They are easy, but that only if you study and work on the study guides.
Prof Siegle is passionate about history. He provides audible lectures and non-audible PowerPoints. You can get by with just using the PowerPoints to complete study guides. Grades based on 4 exams and gives extra credit for the paper at the end of the semester. Definitely recommend Prof Siegle. It's very easy to pass his class.
Great Professor. Highly recommended. Loved the class.
Prof. Siegle is a good pick. There are 4 tests, each having 3 parts to it (map test, matching/chronologies, and multiple choice) and one essay. He has wordy lectures. If you just want to pass, download his study guide, go through the powerpoints until you see terms on the guide, and then write what it says. If you do that you will get an A easily.
Mr. Siegle is very passionate about history and you can tell by how he gives the lecture almost as a story. He has 4 tests online and are easy if you do the study guide. we also have an essay thats mandatory but idk if he grades them. His emails are also quite humorous because he tries to speak as if it was in the olden days.
Only thing we were graded on was 4 (online) tests and a 1200 word essay comparing the 1918 flu pandemic to the Covid-19 one. The essay was basically just bonus points and you got full score for just turning it in with the word count. If you miss a lecture, he has the powerpoint uploaded in blackboard. He was funny in lectures and kept my attention.
Can be very interesting and in-depth with his lectures.
I didn't have any homework for his class, and the tests were super easy. He gave us study guides that fairly matched test content. My only issue was the essay. His instructions were vague, and I stressed basically over nothing because I think he was only really looking for word count and not if we correctly answered his essay prompts.
Prof Siegle is very kind and caring. He LOVES history and it is evident in his lectures. I had him online for HIST 1301/02 and I got an A in both. I did bad on the 1st test + I reached out about how to study for his class and he was really helpful. There are only 4 tests so they make up most of your grade. And 1 essay, it was over Covid.
Only 4 tests, and one essay at the end of the year.
I took this professor because I he does not give any assignments, only tests. The tests are not hard. The matching and maps portion of the tests are so frustrating. It gave me severe anxiety while taking them because of the short time limit of 2-8 mins.
(SPRING 22') All the work for his class consists of 4 tests (3 parts ea.) and a project, that's it. This leaves little room for error. I'm the type of student that would love to be able to just slide by, but his tests make it impossible! NONE of the test answers are online and it seems that he has worded the questions that we are tested on himself.
Professor Siegle is an absolute wonder. I am normally bored to tears in history classes but his class is very engaging! He uses three part tests that consist of matching/chronology, map, and theories. The map and chronologies are in the study guide so print them, figure out the answers, then take the test WITH them. Easy A!
Took him for US Hist 1 and 2. His lectures kept my interest. There are 4 tests (all online) and a paper you have the entire semester to write. I'm interested in becoming a historian and I was able to find resources related to the field with his help. If you want an easy, enjoyable lecture class, I recommend Prof. Siegle.
I love professor Siegle's teaching. He makes learning fun and the tests are not so hard.
Do Not take this class tests are almost impossible to pass I don't know how I did 4 tests not helpful at all lots of work there was a point in the semester that I thought was this ever going to end this was one of the hardest classes ever so lucky i passed
I am so happy that this course has ended. Testing is extremely hard and those who say it's easy are not telling the truth. He creates his own Q&A and use verbiage that's confusing. It's like a kid who creates a game with rules that only allow them to win. There are only 4 test and an essay.
His lectures are not the most interesting or engaging, however, there were a few funny things he would say that I would occasionally catch. His class is overall super easy if you go over the study guides and powerpoints in order to prepare for the tests and he also had his exams online. The way he writes his emails are pretty interesting and funny.
He is the absolute best! He is very passionate about his work and makes class interesting. Very nice to everyone including students that arrive late to class. He is very organized and its easy to follow his class if you make the effort. He makes study guides for tests that are actually helpful. No complaints on this man 10/10.
Professor Siegle goes in-depth and very clearly goes through all of the curricula needed for the exams.
He's so sweet and funny. You can tell he loves teaching history and loves talking with students. People saying the class is hard just didn't try. Literally just write down lecture notes, study, & you're good. Also, people who say he words things weird, yes he does, but it's in a fun way. He loves his job and puts passion into it. I'd recommend!
REALLY EASY!!! He has the PowerPoint posted in his class, making it so much easier if you miss class. I guess it is kinda heavily graded on the exams, but they're easy if you do the study guide. He is very silly and kind! REALLY RECOMMEND!!! :D
