One of the nicest, caring professor's I've ever met! Always makes sure you understand the subject before he moves on and is willing to slow stuff down if you don't. Makes notes in class super easy with handouts. You have to come to class due to clicker questions which are a major portion of your grade otherwise a simple and easy class
Although I did not get a good grade in the class he is an awesome professor. He expects you to print out the ppt slides and come to class to take notes on them. Some of his lectures are long but he generally throws in a video or two to make it interesting. We also do clicker questions and group questions during class. tip: go to office hours!
I've taken him twice, and I love him. Has a Romanian accent, but he's pretty easy to understand. Definitely have to work, but he makes it really simple to succeed if you put in effort. Super nice. Really easy to access outside of class. Posts power points on Canvas. Gives awesome explanations if you're confused. One of the best professors I've had.
Codrin is so nice and will help you if you need it. The class consists of three tests, group exercises, clicker questions, and weekly quizzes on the chapters. He expects you to print the slides out and use them to take notes on. The book is not required for class but it definitely helped me out a lot.
Nedita is one of the nicest professors I've had in my 2 years here at UWB. He is very clear in what he wants and what work you need to put in to succeed in his class. Almost after ever lecture, he emphasizes to take advantage of office hours if you are having troubles. Quizzes are exactly like the homework - make sure to do it and you'll do great!
The subject is tough but he is a fair grader, he is available to his students if you have questions and has daily office hours, the tests are tough but if you do the homework and study you should get a decent grade
Nedita is hands down one of the best professors Ive had the pleasure of taking at UW Bothell. If you need to take micro/macro econ, take his class!! Hes so easy to understand (besides his awful handwriting lol) and really cares about his students learning. Super nice guy with clear and concise lecture style!
If you are taking Micro/Macro, take this professor! You are graded on weekly quizzes, clicker questions, group projects (answering questions as a group) and Exams. Honestly, if you show up to class, pay attention, and do the homework (not graded but great for practice problems), you will do just fine.
Immersive involved descriptive
Codrin is a great teacher! He is funny and does a really good job explaining the course content. He is always happy to answer questions and interacts with the students. Take this class!
Codrin posts his slides on Canvas with some blanks to fill in. Print this out and use it to take notes, it's by far the most helpful resource in the class and helps a ton during lectures. Codrin's lectures are extremely clear, he simplifies things down and does well to give examples and check for understanding. Never opened the textbook, don't buy.
Very clear and concise in lectures. Simplifies complex concepts so that they can be easily understood. Offers lots of opportunities to pick your grade up. Class structure was super organized and the printable notes were awesome. He's super funny and makes you enjoy the class even if you aren't into economics. Do all practice Q's and HW's!
The class builds up anxiety and pressure through clicker questions. You are constantly being graded for everything you do in class. However, he makes the problems easy to understand and explains them well. Well-respected and willing to help outside of class. Keep up with the coursework and in the end you should be fine!
In all my time at UWB, Nedita is one of my favorite professors I've had. I took him for both Micro & Macro and he's definitely the best professor to take those with. His clickers are easy if you pay attention and the quizzes are straight out of the homework. Nedita actually cares about your understanding and you as a person. Fantastic prof!
Codrin is by far the best professor I've ever had in my life. He made learning economics (both Micro and Macro) a lot easier for me. His lectures and explanation on topics were so clear, I didn't even buy the textbook for the class. He does anything possible to help you learn and succeed if you put in the effort. He is also very sweet. Love him!
Professor Nedita is very knowledgeable when it comes to economics. He's clear, funny, but he makes you work for your grade. Exams are much harder than other assignments. We have to print our notes, but I personally never used the textbook. The course consists of three exams, daily clicker questions, and quizzes based on homework.
Nedita is an amazing professor whos very passionate about what he teaches. There are literally no problems with the way he teaches his class. One of the best teachers on campus.
He's simply the best professor. I recommend that everyone take him for economics.
Codrin is the best professor that I've ever had at UWB. He's extremely kind, and genuinely cares about your learning. He does anything he can to make sure everyone is with him and understands the material. Textbook is not necessary because he does such a good job at explaining material in lectures. Tests are based on practice exam/quizzes.
Best professor I have ever had, really clear with his topics. He made everything super easy for student to digest.
The best prof at UWB. He has a perfect teaching technique. He explains all concepts clearly and is always asking if anyone needs further clarification. I will really miss having him I wish he could teach every course tbh.
got like a 2.5 in microeconomics took his class and ended up with a 3.5. if you attend every class and pay attention you'll pass with at least a 3.0. he's a really good teacher
By far the best teacher I've had in my academic career. He clearly cares about his students, and their ability to learn based on his lectures. He is passionate and knowledgeable about economics. HW wasn't graded but we had quizzes on the "due date". Great class if you have work hard, study for quizzes/exams, ask questions, and pay attention.
Solid professor and class. Really liked it especially the second half.
Great professor, his lectures are clear and he makes sure that the class understands the content before moving on. Quizzes and tests are easy, participation matters in the sense that he does a ton of clicker questions so you have to pay attention but they aren't difficult in any sense. He really cares, even takes the time to get to know students.
He's an amazing economics professor. I didn't really understand econ before I had him, and my econ prereqs were the lowest scores on my transcript, but after him I get it. He's always careful to take time and explain things many different ways.
If you can make sure to take him for BUS 310. He is way better than all the other professors! Yes he does have quizzes but they are super easy as long as you understand the homework which he posts detailed answers and explanations for before quizzes. If you don't understand something go to his office hours he is super nice and helpful!
Codrin Nedita is hands down one of the BEST professors at UW Bothell. His teaching strategy really keeps you on your toes because of "clicker" questions where he mildly tests you on concepts to make sure you're paying attention. He also makes each student custom check-points throughout the quarter to make sure you're on track with your grade!
I liked Mr. Nedita, while i had a hard time on the quizzes in the beginning he did teach some valuable lessons (Such as read the question a few times before you answer). He was a real help at office hours and his midterms, while large are pretty easy to do as long as your organize your notes and take good care that you study. hard but fair
Nice Professor, do practices and hw before the quiz and exam because they help you to have an idea of what will be on the exam but You need to actually understand the concept in order to do well on the exams because a lot of the questions are opposite of the practices.
This professor is not forgiving. He will deduct points if you submit you work on exams for his entertainment which can bring your grade down a full letter grade. He is not understanding of technical issues and expects you to upload all the pictures for his lengthy exams with no grace time. I wouldn't recommend this professor.
I really didn't like this teacher at the start. After taking two courses with him, I found him to be a very good teacher. If you plan on going forward with a business major, I recommend you to pay attention to his class as he explains concepts really well.
Best teacher I've ever had as far as course structure, teaching style & pacing go. So patient and cheerful. Minimal homework. No reading/textbook optional because you will only ever be asked questions from his lectures. Uses fun movie clips to reinforce concepts/break up monotony. I'm not a business major but he makes me wish I was!
He explains every single detail and does not get mad when you ask questions. He's genuinely a great guy and if given the opportunity I would take him again in a heartbeat. He lectures and we do group activities at the end of the lecture so you do need to be present for class. If you're on the fence about him, just take the class. It was fun.
One of my favorite professors ever. Extremely knowledgeable about his subject and always willing to help if you're struggling. Clear about his expectations up front, and even gives students the opportunity to make up for bad grades on previous tests by only counting your top quizzes. I highly recommend taking his class!
Lots of group projects. But if given the option between him and another professor, choose him. He's genuinely caring and wants to make sure you understand the material. He always has a great attitude and is excited to teach.
prof codrin is too good for this world. i took econ 200 at uw seattle and was looking for an easier environment to learn macro... didnt think id be signing up for one of the best teachers ive ever had. he is incredibly understanding, straightforward, and super patient. he works very hard to make the content easy to understand!! such a good prof!!!!
Amazing Professor. Had him for both microecon and macroecon, he gives tons of materials to prepare you for the midterms / finals. His lectures are also v clear. Def take him for econ courses!
Professor Nedita is a great professor who is very clear and prepared to help you succeed. He does make you work for your grade if you want an A. Weekly quizzes which are pretty similar to the HW. Quizzes corresponds to the exams as well so they were not too difficult. Panopto recording are super important and the clicker questions in them suck.
He's one of the best profs I've had so far! He includes many examples in his lectures, so we'd have a greater understanding. He's helpful. Quizzes every week and based on HW. Doing many practice problems helped me succeed in the midterms and final. Clicker questions mainly suck cause they're timed quick, so I'd review my notes and do HW beforehand.
Professor Nedita is a great professor. As long as you watch the lecture recordings before class and do the problems, you will have no issue with passing this class. The textbook was optional, but he does a great job explaining everything in the lectures. There are two midterms and one final, he is pretty generous with the time limit on it though.
I really enjoyed his teaching style for this class. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. If you needed help or had questions, he would make sure that they were answered. The lectures were well put together and you didn't need to read the textbook to make sense of what he was explaining. 120% would take again.
One of the best professors I've ever had. Our class was supposed to be in person but was online. He prerecorded lectures and each lecture was detailed and clear. I absolutely loved them and they were my biggest help. The professor makes projected grade reports and guesses what the final grade is projected to be which is also so nice. Motivational.
Amazing lectures, class organisation, and teacher! Honestly, one of the best profs I've ever had. Practice, practice, practice is key in this class. This is important to clicker questions, quizzes, and exams. If you do, you'll do very well in the class. There are extra credits in the class.
Literally the best professor ever. Don't hesitate to take him. Macroeconomics is hard but he explains it so clearly. We have an hour prerecorded lecture then he lectures us again in class. All we have to do is take the quizzes and good notes. Rest of it is all easy after that. I highly recommend him, I would take him again for sure!
I could not have asked for a better prof for macro. You could tell he was actually passionate about the material he was teaching as well as really nonweldable. Biggest tip for his class is to take notes on the preclass lectures and you'll naturally learn everything from that.
The class material is really easy, however he overcomplicates it by giving the student 1-2 minutes on each question. The final has more than 80 questions, and half of them require calculations. Calculating 40 questions surely will take more than 1-2 minutes for each one. Time has no correlation with understanding the material, and he doesn't get it
Some of the clicker questions are tough but fair, he's a really good teacher though and does office hours in the last half hour of class which is really helpful if you have questions because you don't have to go out of the way.
My favorite teacher at the school! His teaching style is something that I like, watching lectures and reviewing the material in class later. Clicker questions, quizzes and exams were fairly easy. I would 100% take him classes again!
Mr.Nedita definitely shows that he cares about his students learning. In order to do well in this class you need to watch the online lectures. As long as you do that you will have success in this class. It is a lot of material so know if you fall behind even once, you will not be able to catch up. Take it seriously from the start .
Professor Nedita is very educated and clearly understands the course well. His lectures are amazing and the class organization as a whole is great. I'm not saying he's an easy grader - the class does require effort. As long as you actually try, you'll do great. He is very accessible and is always happy to help answer questions/clear any confusion.
Professor Nedita was really amazing! Clear lectures and was very willing to help and very good at explaining problems. His videos and classes are helpful. His exams are not tricky, they are very straightforward and as long as you watch the lecture videos and do the homework they are fairly easy. Would definitely take his class again.
Nedita is a great professor. His video lectures are straightforward and the fact that he reviews them in class makes understanding the content really easy. He cares for his students and genuinely wants them to pass. Everything in this class is equally weighted. Exams are not tricky, and as long as you show up and participate, it's an easy A.
I was super nervous to learn about Economics, but I am glad that I got to be in Professor Nedita's class. He is very understanding and his instructions are super clear and easy to follow. Great teacher!
Best professor at UW. You will pass with an A if you put in time and effort outside and inside of class. Communicate with him as well, his at home lectures are the best.
bro is the best prof ive had here. i took micro with him and his 8:45 am class was painful but worth it. he answers every question with detail and different examples, always making sure you understand before he moves on. i honestly love him so much and i wish i he taught more classes. def take him over any other professor teaching micro/macro
Would recommend him over any professor in the entire business school tbh. He's brilliant, and he knows exactly how to help students learn, not just make them listen. Grading is as clear as it gets, and a lot of assignments get dropped at the end of the quarter. Definitely prioritize getting his class over any other class in your schedule.
This professor is a top 5 teacher I have ever had. He makes getting an A in his class super easy. Practice exams are super similar to main exams and lowest grades from each category are omitted. Honestly easiest 4.0 's of my life. If you fail with this professor consider community college cause this professor is clear and super helpful
Super understanding and overall amazing professor. Already ready to answer your questions, lectures, both in class and recorded were easy to follow. Effort is needed to succeed in this course but it's all very straight forward and if you take notes and do the homeworks the tests are the ame questions from the homework. Would definitnely recommend.
His lectures are good, he calls it a "flipped" class structure where you have to watch the lectures as recordings he made for his COVID time classes and you do exercises in class. Tips: 1. at least half of the questions on the quizzes are the same as the questions in the homework(quiz prep) 2. Same goes for the tests
Professor Nedita has become one of my new favorite! He is caring and really wants to see his students do well in his class! Two midterms along with the final, recordings to watch over and take notes. Definitely recommend taking notes and knowing the material as soon as you can! He made the class environment feel comfortable to ask questions.
BEST professor I have ever had. Take him for micro/macro. You will actually learn concepts and understand economics. You watch lecture videos before class and then go over them in class. Quizzes are very easy, and so are exams. Answers all questions and CLEARLY explains answers. Wish more professors were like him. Miss his class.
BEST PROF EVER! I knew nothing about microecon but solely watching his lecture videos by myself did wonders. Coming into class just reassured I understood the content. Everything is well-taught & straightforward. Quizzes/exams are EXACTLY like the practice ones on Canvas. He's a sweet prof, it is almost guaranteed you'll get an A if you really try!
Honestly one of the best prof at UW Bothell. Most of the practice problems will be on quizzes, midterms, and finals. As long as you do the work you will be fine. Focus on receiving a 100% on ALL the practice quizzes, midterms, and finals problems sets and you'll get an A+.
super lenient, very organized, very insightful, knowledgeable professor, amazing professor overall. Had him for Micro and Macro best professor i've had at UW bothell so far. Highly recommended!!!
He wants everyone to get a 4.0 and uses the same example, which helps you understand the concepts. I solved all the exercises, homework, and practice exams until I got every question right and was averaging 90 on every exam. He loves every question he gets, especially his exam Q&A sessions. Taking macro with him too. Good professor and person too!
He makes everything super understandable and him having the recordings before the class is meant for his lecture to support and reinforce his lesson plans!
One of the best 'teachers' i've had. I felt like I was actually learning material every class and it was thanks to his teaching style. Super nice and wants you to succeed. Explains topics to the point where you're an expert on the subject. Would recommend to everyone.
Nedita is really invested in each student's success. This class is really easy if you watch all the Panopto lectures and answer all of the clicker questions. Take diligent notes on the recorded lectures and participate in his questions in class. Take advantage of all of the extra credit he gives via poll everywhere!
Great professor, and I loved how the material was taught. Lots of outside-of-class time, 1 hour in between classes at minimum (not including study time and extra learning time). Drops lowest grades which helped a lot, but final and midterms were heavily weighted, if you do poorly on these it is impossible to save your grade, primary factor of grade
time and effort = easy A. Final and 2 midterms are based on hw quizzes. hw quizzes are based on hw practice quiz. If you remember this and understand the concepts and how to solve topics you will do well. Extra credit on test and group work / clicker questions about lecture videos are very forgiving, count top 20 only or something like that.
Codrin is an amazing professor. The recorded lectures are very clear and subsequently he lets his students out of class 45 minutes early. He also drops your lowest grades for certain things to give you a better chance to succeed. I wish he taught higher level economics courses so I could take him again.
Took him for both 220 & 221, hands down the best prof I've had so far. As long as you put your time into taking notes on lecture videos outside of class, going to class just reassures your understanding of the topics (which are explained coherently). All quizzes & exams are 99% like the practice ones, so if you work hard enough an A is attainable!
Legend. Best professor I've ever had.
Had him for 220 and 221 and can easily say he is the best teacher I have had in my entire life! Spends an hour going over material and always asks if anyone needs help understanding, then the next hour of class is office hours if you need additional help. I've never had a more clear understanding of a topic or class and he is very easy to approach!
He assigns 45-50min long videos to watch before class, and then goes over the material for an hour in class. Although the videos are sometimes annoying to watch, they actually really help with my understanding of the material. He includes graded "clicker questions" that you answer throughout the video (super easy, multiple choice). I recommend
You can tell he truly loves to teach. He's a very patient teacher and always encourages people to ask questions, he will never make you feel dumb! His grading policies are also very reasonable, so you should def be able to pass the class with flying colors. Highly recommend!!!
Amazing teacher!! Class was used for going over practice questions and before class, you just needed to watch the lecture videos. I never had to spend hours going over Rcommands unless I was exam studying because he teaches and goes over everything so well in class. 5 HWs every couple weeks and we had in class graded exercises that weren't too bad.
Great class and professor. Assigned a video anywhere from 30 mins to an hour or so long prior to class, along with 5 or so "clicker questions" worth a point each. In class was typically used to go over the material and answer questions, and would rarely run over 75-80 mins. Very open to answering questions if you have any.
He might have a slight accent that could be a little hard to understand, but he is awesome, compassionate, and really cares about his students. amazing professor!
100% gotta make sure to do the out of class video lessons, its possible to figure it out without them but is hard. Grades are complicated but at the same time super easy to understand. Overall very caring an helpful.
This is the third time I've taken one Codrin's classes. Not necessarily because it's an easier class but his teaching style makes any topic very simple to understand compared to other professors. If you are trying to decide between him and another professor, PICK HIM!!
Codrin Nedita's reviews are very misleading. The majority of my class ended up getting below a 3.0 GPA. His Cumulative Final has a short time limit, is in person, no notes, 80 questions long, and covers roughly 10 chapters worth of material. Every person I know who took this class regrets taking it due to the complexity and length of the exams.
Best micro/macro prof at the school, well-versed in the material and very straightforward format for the lessons. take notes, there are 2 midterms and a cumulative final, but should be easy if you pay attention and take notes.
professor nedita is a very good econ professor. layout of class was odd at first but you'll get used to it. class has 2 midterms and a cumulative final. In class you'll review everything you learned from the lectures he has recorded and answer the clicker questions attached. not hard but interesting class, id recommend nedita!
He's alright not my style of teaching. My fault I got this grade, you should take if you need a Micro class.
One thing to know is that the class is flipped so lectures must be watched before class. The professor himself is a very nice guy and I'd say fairly lenient and understanding. The quizzes and exams are all multiple choice which I feel helped me succeed a lot.
One of the best professors I have ever had. Prof. Nedita is very knowledgeable and is very clear on what is expected of the students. He's very kind and understanding and his flipped structure is excellent for my learning. Drops 5 lowest in-class assignments, 2 lowest quizzes, and the final could replace a midterm score. Overall, amazing teacher.
W PROF!! watch the lectures and take notes, they'll be super helpful for both midterms and final. go to office hours but most of class work is from lectures, the practice tests were very helpful for the real thing. You probably won't need the textbook tho :)
One of the best professors I've had!!! You will easily pass if you watch his lecture videos and take notes. Drops the lowest quiz and exam score and always ends class about 45-60mins early. Assignments in class are done in small groups and are fairly easy.
Prof Codrin Nedita is easily one of my favorite profs ever at uwb. I took him for both micro & macro. As long as you show up, take notes, ask qs, and study, you'll do well! If you see him listed for class, just take it :)
