Cody is so AWESOME. If you have a question he answers it very well and is good at explaining things. If you can get into both his lecture and recitation class GO FOR IT!
CODY YOU ROCK:)
Cody is a hotie! Take his class and the only trouble you'll have is paying attention because of his hot ass! :o)

Cody is so cool!! He makes learning fun and time goes by so fast. He is so cute too!!! Take this professor for math 98!!!

You're a cool guy. You should come drinking with us soetime
Great guy, played starcraft online a few times with him. Helpful even if your not in his class anymore.
I thought cody was an alright guy, but you need to wear shirts that half sleaves.
He's easy, fun, stylish, and thurough. He's good. I approve

one word HOT! you will enjoy his class not only because he looks good but because he knows what hes talking about. :)
Great Teacher to take for 098!
I thought this class was really easy. Cody is a pretty good teacher. He tends to go really fast in the lectures. The course is only a refresher to get into Math 112.
Hey was really awesome...I learned a lot in the class and had fun listening to him. Plus, he wasn't bad to look at either!
Awesome teacher!
Well deserved praise! Summer Session RAWKED! Yes, he's fast, but thorough & accomodating ;) Cody makes understanding algebra easy and logical. His grading is forgiving, but don't abuse it. His ego matches his intellect, but is also humerous and grounded. If you don't pass, you didn't try, or won't pass. Cody is my "Lucky Charm" <insert jingle here
GREAT professor. He is very helpful if you don't understand the material. Always willing to go the extra mile to help. His grading system is very forgiving (He throws out low scores if the majority isn't doing so hot or will curve it to help you out, so don't forget that if at the end of the term your grade isn't up to par). A+ for this hot prof!

he is hot- good teacher
very good instructor
He is a very good Professor. He really knows how to explain things completly and wants all of his students to do well and is there to help you out. He makes math clear and understandable... and he'll share his personal life w/you too so you know a lil about him and it makes everything a little more fun.
Very good teacher. If you get the chance to Cody... TAKE HIM. im a guy and i even think hes HOT!!!
this class sucks, I knew the material before my junior year in high school, i fell asleep almost everyday because it was so boring.
Easy class overall, but Cody made sure everyone understood. Kind of got boring because the material is so basic, but I would definitely recommend taking Cody, he's nice.. and hot.
Cody is a real good teacher. He explained very well and answered any questions you had. He would work with you at anytime. Really nice and did a good job
Ugh doesn't give any extra credit.
I don't see a point to have a lab and a lecture when you are going over the same matterial. Online testing would be fine if it wouldn't count correct answeres wrong.
I learned more in lecture than I did during lab. Cody worked hard in making sure we learned the material. I would recomend him for sure. Like any math class, you must stay ahead or you will get lost. The online tests were ok, but I had a few answers marked wrong when they were right. The multiple choice tests were best. He listens to the students!

I very much enjoyed Cody as a teacher. His class was probably my favorite class, and I normally don't like math that well. It doesn't hurt that he's very good-looking either. He is very helpful, and actually encourages students to ask question all the time.
being in math 98 for a second time wow has cody changed his way of teaching and i'm more clear on the info and gettin better ta than the one i had wow was she somthin else well anyways i reccommd cody if ur not very good in math he is a great professor and is whilin to help u in any way he can..
Easy class, he goes through each step so slowly that you'd have to not be there to fail this class. He also brings in funny pics of his vacations and such.
Cody is awesome, he is a great teacher. He goes through every step and makes sure everyone understands. He really cares that everyone passes...go to class attendance counts and do the homework!
He is fantastic! Cody is young yet, and keeps math class interesting. I don't like math at all, but this guy is a great teacher. Take math with him, and you will have no worries! He is always willing to help you out.
He's a good teacher. Made math interesting. I didn't like all ofthe bookwork and online homework but it paid off when it came to the tests. You get a ton of practice so the tests were easy. You get study guides, even for the final. He is always available for help in his office when you need it. If you have to take this class, he is worth it.
Took Cody's math 112 summer class, he was VERY helpful and understanding..he is a GREAT teacher :)
good teacher and easy
Cody is a very good professor! He is very good at explaining everything he teaches! I was never able to understand math in high school, but I came to college and had him for a professor and I ended up with an A. I understand everything so much better now and it's all thanks to Cody!
Cody was great. I have never understood algerbra in my life but he was extremely helpful in helping me understand. I would definetly recommend Cody.
He's excellent at making things clear and understandable. The last 15 minutes of class are work time for us to do homework and such, and he usually lets us out five minutes early. He gets straight to the point and gets on with it. :)
Great teacher! Make sure you do all the homework, it seems like a lot (online and book) but it prepares you very well for his tests. He explains things with incredible clarity, very knowledgeable and passionate about his subject and just a nice person to interact with. Would definitely recommend him to anyone!
Teaches at a pace that anyone can understand even if algebra isn't their forté. There is both book work and online homework that is required, although they are all relevent to the test questions so it's just extra practice in a way. Gives you work time during class and walks around answering questions. Take him if you want a slower-paced class.
Mr. Tabbert is a fairly good teacher. If you do all the homework and study for the exams you'll do just fine for a grade. Not completely boring so you don't fall asleep.
He explains things well!
Cody Tabbert is a wonderful teacher who makes mathematics fun and inspiring. His teaching skills and techniques makes it easier for you, as a student, to understand. I really enjoyed taking his math class.
I enjoyed this class very much, seeing as how this was cody's first time teaching finite Math I think he did very good. I would definitely reccommend him for a teacher
AWESOME TEACHER!! Take him for a math class if you need to! He goes through the material at a great pace and makes sure that everyone understands before moving onto the next stuff. Took him for both of the math classes I needed and got A's for my final grades!!
I loved his class! He is very easy going, and funny. Cody had interesting stories, and kept math entertaining while teaching. He listens well to questions, and will certainly help you to get solutions. If you show him you are trying and put forth effort, you should be fine as long as you understand your homework.
Cody is a very good teacher. I actually took him two semesters in a row because the structure of the class and how he explains the material. He makes the class a class you want to go to because he is both entertaining, and knows what needs to be done to make sure everything is covered thoroughly.
Hands down Cody is the best math professor at NHCC! I am horrible at math but Cody goes at a steady pace and the way he teaches his class you learn so much, he makes it not boring at all! Take him if you can, I am taking him next semester again along with almost the rest of the whole class!
Coddy Tabbert is the coolest, the best, the greatest and the awesomest math teacher in NHCC. He loves to help students in class and out of class. He is really kind and friendly as well. tells us about a fun story before class starts to wake students up. He knows what he is doing and . . he is super awesome!!!!! I highly recommend.
Great teacher. Very easy to understand and very willing to help if you have problems.
The man is awesome. Can clearly communicate the material and lesson needed to advance to the next level. Don't expect an "A" if you don't want to do the work. Would love to have him for the rest of math classes required for Pre-Engineer Degree. He teaches up to Pre-Calc only. Best Math Teacher I've taken to date.
He a young teacher, but he kn ows what he is teaching. He explain everything in a form that you will understand everything, you can ask questions. He uses Math xl, and book homework. He test are really nice. I recomended him.
Best math teacher I've ever had. Hard tests, but if you do the required homework you'll be fine. He uses MathXL for online homework, and you couldn't ask for a better, more helpful program (Web Assign is like it's evil, retarded twin). Plus he throws in extra credit at the end of the semester for attendance (at least he did for perfect attendance).
Amazing teacher! He takes time to help you out and the way he explains stuff to you is out and clear unlike other professors i've had previously. Do everything n you'll pass!
The best!!
Cody is an outstanding professor. He genuinely cares about his students and their success. I've requested and gotten him as a prof for 2 math classes in a row now, so you know he must be doing something right! He explains concepts well, gives extra credit opportunities, and he is OK with getting to know students on a personal level. He is awesome!!
I fell and broke my leg, thus missing 3 weeks of class. Cody worked with me so that when I came back to class I was caught up! I managed to walk out of class with a B! I now have him for trig! It's a really tough class, but Cody makes it look easy! Great pof! Take him if you need a math class! :)
He is very nice and good Math professor
Thanks for every interesting and helpful study days in your class.
Great class if you do your work.
one word to describe this teacher... AMAZING!!! i couldnt ask for a better teacher. He makes math easier to remember and is super helpful. Plus, cody is good looking so it makes you pay attention more I think! :)
Great teacher and very fair. Do the work and you will get a good grade.
Cody was the best math prof I've ever had. Only prof able to explain proofs to me. He had plenty of examples during lecture that were easy to follow, and howto video links too. Was very organized with assignments, due dates, and getting them back to you. Tests were very fair. A lot of homework, but it's needed for practice. I highly recommend him!
I went into his class only expecting to get through it, without really learing the subject that well. Cody actually got me interested in math and enjoying it. He's always clear and helpful, and is very fair in how he grades H.W./MathXL/Test. I Recommend 100%
Took online College Algebra with this teacher and I loved it! I am not a fan of math and always have difficulty understanding the concepts but this teacher puts up very good lecture videos and makes math seem easy and fun!
AWESOME PROFESSOR! I took Online College Algebra. He did an awesome job of communicating with students and offered plenty of time to students for help. He is quick at responding to emails/discussion questions etc. The work load was average and was not too difficult, but required you to think. I would definitely recommend this professor to anyone.
This was an online College Algebra class taught by an EXCELLENT PROFESSOR. He had online office time, used tools to communicate with us easily. Responded to discussion posts very quickly. Answered questions by showing examples, if you didn't get it - he didn't move on. Highly recommended!
Cody is an awesome guy. He loves what he does & his passion for the subject is very obvious. This particular course was online & I struggled with it a bit. Concepts are harder to grasp online than they are in class due to communicati. Worksheets can be difficult, heavy Math XL homework. Not a fan of the online delivery but he did exceptional.
Online College Algebra- I'm HORRIBLE at math. One of the reasons I take it online is because i can look at the book for quizzes- i'd fail if i couldn't. Though I have a deep hatred for Math, Mr.Tabbert eases the pain and uses every resource available to be clear and help you understand. WARNING- the worksheets are WAY too difficult.
Cody is a great instructor. I had him for two courses, the most recent being MATH 1150 ONLINE. He provides TONS of instructional videos for each type of problem dealt with. He answers every email with as much help needed. Overall, I enjoyed my time in the course and I strongly recommend C. Tabbert as your math instructor.
Very good instrustor went through everything step by step so you would understand!!
One of my favorite instructors at NHCC! He explains math well, very approachable. TAKE HIM FOR MATH!
Cody is a great teacher i wish he can be my teacher in my next math class.. he provides you everything video instructions, notes, syllabus, name it! he is awesome that's the only thing i can say. so take his class guys and you will be fine.
Cody is the best Math teacher I had ever have. He is very helpful and cares about his students. Answers all questions and explains how math works. Tests are very easy if you attend his classes. They are not mandatory, but he gives you extra credit for coming to class.
Great online class! I'm not a fan of math but this class is so straight forward that its not too bad! Professor Tabbert does a great job explaining the information over his lecture videos that I didn't even have to buy the (optional) textbook! Great class!
Wonderful teacher, explains everything in full detail, really cares about the students
(Delaware County Community College) This professor is one of a kind. You can tell he invests time and effort into his various teaching abilities. Every now and then he will share an inspiring piece of wisdom.
Great instructor. Online version. He gives you a LOT of tools to make sure you understand. Like an instructor should, Cody wants to see your work to make sure you are understanding the material. Proctored tests are 80% of the grade which basically means that he isn't going to let you cheat the online way like other classes.
Quick response and very helpful teacher!
I chose online to see if there was any difference from in class, which I previously had a bad experience. I learned 95% more in this class than I ever could imagine. Just work hard get things in early or on time. I have a high respect for this instructor. He is very thorough, helpful and respectful!
This was the best math class I have ever taken. Cody does an amazing job giving walk through videos while doing homework so that you can actually watch someone else perform the new method, rather than just reading steps in a text book. I have always struggled with math until this class. I am taking his online class in the fall. Amazing!!
Great online class. Everything is easy to follow and understood.
I thouroughly enjoyed this class. Best way to learn math! So many helpful videos and the pearson math online is awesome to work with.
Online class. Great teacher. Has a lot of resources set up to learn from, is very responsive to questions, and really sets you up to succeed.
This class was Intermediate Algebra, online. Cody had a great curriculum that prepared me perfectly for College Algebra.
He is an amazing teacher. Great communicator, really helpful.I recommended to take his class!!!I can't explain how great he is until you take his class. GOOD LUCK!
Amazing!!! I never understood anything about math until I took Cody's class. Since I have struggled because I cant find another class with him.
I took Cody for an online class and he's wonderful. Always willing to answer questions and very helpful. He's got all the tools to help you. I definitely recommend him. Great professor!!
Extremely Helpful and I am very happy with the way the class was run. Emails were answered almost immediately and he made every effort to make sure you did well in the class. I will take more of his classes in the future. Highly recommended.
Cody Tabbert truly understands what online students are looking for. He would post assignments on Fridays, always giving 2 weekends to finish work. He also had wonderful reviews that were posted early so that testing days didn't seem so ominous. It still takes work to get the grade desired, but Cody gives the student great opportunities to succeed.
Cody did a really good job facilitating this online class! He makes math fun by bringing a lot of energy into it. Very prompt in his responses, and clear in his presentation/answers of Trigonometry concepts. He is highly recommended, and you'll have a really good experience if you indeed take a class from him. Deserves a raise.
Cody Tabbert is a great professor. He puts a lot of work into his class and really wants you to succeed. He makes a lot of videos to help you better understand how to work certain problems, and the extra work is appreciated. He's also very quick to respond when you ask for help.
I was a little nervous to take Calculus online, but Cody was very facilitating in learning the material online.
Professor Tabbert took full advantage of online tools (youtube videos, online software, etc) so that this class became a breeze. I knew that if I didn't understand something the first time I could access a video or review instructor notes to really solidify the information. It helped that I had a basic understanding of pre-calc from high school.
Best teacher hands down that I have ever had. My respect and love for this guy cannot be quantified. He cares so much for his students to succeed and not just in the classroom but in life too. His use of online tools are amazing and hes extremely strait forward about what to expect on tests. Quick to respond to emails, very organized. He's awesome!
I was not looking forward to taking statistics, but I feel I gained a lot from this class, beyond statistics. Professor Cody did a great job of teaching and introducing me to some modern technology that will be useful in future courses. Cody quickly and professionally replied to all questions, clearly he genuinely wants to help students succeed.
Cody is so committed to see his students succeed.Very resourceful beside using the textbook. He is a great instructor.
To be honest I was kind of intimidated by stats. It was not easy; however, with the structure of the class and Cody's ability to address any and all questions I might have had made this a very rewarding experience. It also was a huge help that Cody had a great study plan and method to prepare for homework, quizzes, and the final exam.
Cody did a great job of communicating with students and providing multiple resources. He made it very clear of the expected work and graded very fairly. I feel more confident with statistics after taking this course.
I never liked math until I took Cody. Very wonderful teacher. Im really looking forward to taking stats with him.
Mr. Tabbert is awesome. He is very organized in his class and goes out of his way to be there for students. He creates his own YouTube videos for you. This class is not easy, you have to be willing to put in the study time and Mr. Tabbert is pretty much online all the time to help you if needed. I put in about 108 hours in this class.
Very well laid out course, and I really enjoyed it too! Cody is always there for help and I highly recommend him!!
If you hate math or are not good at math.. You should take it with Cody. I withdrew from 2 calculus classes before I went back to take Survey Calc (Short Calc.) with Cody and aced the course. Lot of work but when you need it to move foward wiht your degree. It was well worth it. Thanks Cody.
Cody is an awesome instructor. His instruction and youtube videos make it very easy to understand the coursework. If you struggle with Math he is the instructor to help you get your best grade. I wish I had had him for college algebra because I know that my grade would have been much better.
Professor Tabbert was awesome. I struggled a lot, he noticed it and left frequent emails reminding me what was due. If you really try hard you will definitely pass.
Cody actually cares about students, even in an online class. He was worried about my study habits and actually e-mailed me about it with suggestions. He explains things well and has made several videos that are easy to access, so you're not stuck reading the book over and over again. If I have to take another math class, I hope it's one he teaches.
Cody's fantastic! He does his best to make sure that everyone understands the material and will go the extra mile to help you succeed. Best math professor I've ever had, hands down.
Prof. Tabbert is very nice and caring. He is readily available but I must say, he assigns WAY TOO MUCH HOMEWORK. Because the Pre-Calculus class is online, it's fast paced and MyMathLab's online homework questions have up to 25 questions per section, usually 4 a week. That's about 100 or more problems a week and multistep ?s are only 1 point! Ridic.
He's such an amazing teacher. I really struggled with Math. I failed 2 times when I attended ARCC. I was afraid to take online math, but he makes it so easy to learn! You have to put in a lot of work. Keep up with the HW, do well on quizzes, and tests. Math isn't easy, but he's a great teacher!
I had him for online statistics and LOVED him. You can tell he really cares about your success in his class. Always quick to respond and help. I wouldn't hesitate to take one of his classes.
This class was challenging and faced-paced; however, if you do the homework, read the textbook, and meet the deadlines, then you can still achieve an A or B in the class. Cody was very helpful, organized, and made his expectations clear. If you need to take a challenging math course like pre-calculus, I strongly recommend taking it with Cody.
Great class and a great professor. You truly have to work for your grade and he helps you to stay on track by e-mailing if you fall behind or by daily reminders of what is expected to be done that week. Make sure to do all your work on time and you will no fail.
I have always been intimidated by math so naturally I was not that excited to take this class. Cody made it as painless as it could possibly be. It is A LOT of homework BUT if you put in the effort you WILL do well. Cody is a great prof and knows practice is key to getting stats. I wouldn't highly recommend taking any math course taught by him!
Cody is great at supplying students with materials and references. The only critique is that the fast paced precalc course is a little too fast. It's fine if you can keep up and challenge yourself but it would be great to take the time to retain information rather than just do the work. But hey...
If you follow all the instructions and do your work, you will get a "A".
You pretty much get out what you put into this class. Do all the homework and the tests come easily. It's a good grading system: no surprises, unnecessary busy work, or subjective grading. You may even have fun.
Cody is very accessible and really cares if his students do well. There is A LOT of work in this class, but I've learned more this semester of math than ever before. If you actually need to learn math and not just get the credit, take this class!
Cody provides a class with all of the tools necessary to be successful. This class is all about self-motivation: keep up with the homework, save the excel documents (and create a new tab for each type of problem you have to solve). You can use any notes, and excel files you want for the final. Great class, even better professor!
Cody provides a multitude of help and resources to students. Email him and he will reply quickly. I just wish there would have been lesser assignment problems so students would have time to read over the material. I felt like some of it was busyfiller work but it definitely prepared students for quizzes.
One of the best professors I have ever had. Everything was organized and expectation were very clear. As long as you keep up with the assignment and stay on task you will be able to succeed. The professor is also very helpful and responds to questions quickly.
Cody was an excellent teacher in many ways; he was always available and helpful, the syllabus was very clear and had every single graded assignment on there so there were no surprises, and he has a video for almost any thing you may need help with. I've had him for 2 different courses and would gladly take him again and again if I could.
I took College A. with Cody over the summer. I'm terrible at math and thought I would struggle. However, I passed with a B. He gives you everything you need to study for tests and give you a Practice exam that's exactly like the exam. You won't need to get a T-83 for this class, my Ti-30 worked fine. There is a lot of homework, but you will earn.
He has a massive library of TI-83/84 videos on Youtube. They were extremely helpful. The class was not necessarily hard and not easy. I had to put in a decent amount of time for the A, about 4-6 hours a week.
I was nervous taking a online math class but Cody made it so much easier than expected! He provides many resources for help. Read the chapter, watch the mymathlab videos, do your homework and quizzes and this class will be a breeze. Cody makes sure everything is clear on assignments and deadlines. Put in effort and you'll do great!
I highly recommend taking statistics with Cody. Tough class, lots of work, but he wants you to learn and understand the material. His tutorials are great and response time to questions posted in the discussion section are very quick. One midterm and open book/ open notes final exam. Do the practice MML exams, they are very similar to the test.
I took pre-calc online with this professor and he made it one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. You're assigned weekly online problems and there's only 2 tests - the midterm and final. Before each of those he gives you the whole bank of questions, so it's easy to get an A in this class!
Cody is awesome with online math!!! I'm taking him again for my next math class. I always see if I can take his class! The material can be tough, but the videos he has you watch make everything easier. (Except one video of this woman, she has an annoying voice-but whatever)
MyMathLab is super easy to use and helpful if you can manage directing your own study in an online class. The pretests show you exactly what will be on the midterm/final so if you take those several times and do well you will be fine on the major tests. Cody answers questions via the discussion board which usually works out okay.
He's a great professor. Took his online class and he was well organized. I loved taking stats online with him. He does require mid-term and final to be taken at the campus so beware of that. Otherwise I'd definitely recommend him.
Great teacher, I understood everything he explained in class and if I needed help I would go back and watch his videos. I definitely suggest that you take Cody
I've taken 2 online math classes with Cody and would take more with him if I needed to.
Cody is a fantastic professor! I was a visiting student at NHCC because I needed Statistics for my RN-BSN program at my school and Cody was rated one of the best statistics teachers in the MNSCU system. Cody makes math enjoyable and manageable. He has plenty of resources for you to be successful! Put in the work, and you won't regret taking him.
Cody was an excellent professor. He provided all the resources to do great in his course. If you do the weekly homework and and do your quizzes and most importantly study for your midterm and final, you will do great. It's not an easy A, but if you put a lot of time and effort, you won't be disappointed with your grade. The best STATS course ever.
Didn't interact with him much, but he was very clear on his grading criteria and offers some extra credit opportunities and drops a handful of your lowest assignments. The only reason I didn't get an A is because I didn't work as hard as I could have. Cody provided all the materials you need to succeed, you just have to make use of them.
Professor Tabbert is a great, caring, and very organized instructor. Do not be afraid asking a lot of questions, he is always ready to help. He drops 1 quiz with the lowest grade and gives extra credit on a final, if you attend his lectures. Midterm and a final carry a lot of weight. You need to put a lot of work, if you want an A.
Math can be intemdiating as well as the professors, but definately not Cody. Because Cody doesn't make it all about math and he makes himself approachable by letting you know about his own life outside of math, which can be relatable at times. He's a reasonably lenient guy and he gives good advice, but more importantly a good teacher.
Great teacher helped, during office hours, and had a very clear grading criterea.
Cody was an amazing professor, he provided everyone the necessary tools to do well in his class. If you put in the effort and time you'll do great.
Online class. Practice tests before mid-term and final are extremely helpful.
Cody puts a lot of time and effort into teaching. He really loves math - it's easy to tell when taking his class! I highly recommend taking Cody's classes if you're someone who isn't usually fantastic at math. Put in the effort, and Cody's help will make the class feel much more like a breeze.
When I decided to sign up for an online math class I was a bit nervous, and well skeptical. However, Cody's Elementary Stats class was probably the best math class I have ever taken. He responded to emails, and questions quickly and respectfully. It's a challenging class, but if you put in the effort you learn a lot, and you have fun!
Lots of work but highly organized in his work. He gives you enough time to finish your assignments but remember to do the work so you dont fall behind. You have many resources when you run into problems. Dont expect him to give you the answers because he wants you to figure it out on your own. Read and utilize your resources! Youll pass!
Very responsive and flexible as long as you communicate your questions/needs. All the answers to the midterm/final are in the HW/review so if you do those you will pass. He also gives 5% extra credit for both the midterm and final. I took him for algebra and stats. would take again if he was teaching calc.
Cody was amazing! He lets you know exactly what you need to do to pass. The reviews and practice exam covers exactly what is on the final exam. He really wants you to succeed!
I was so scared to take pre calc online, it was actually really good! You need to work for an A. Spent 4-5 hours/week on this class. HW ok. Gives helpful videos+responds to emails quickly. Covered 6 chapters, 1 quiz for each. Only took final+ midterm on campus, 5% extra credit for completing reviews. Reviews exactly like 2 tests. Overall amazing!
This is the only math class I have EVER felt confident in and I can truly contribute all of my success to Cody. I would highly recommend taking any of his classes. He breaks it down so it's not over complicated jargon and he makes it approachable. 10/10 would take again and you will pass/ get an A if you pay attention.
I took Elementary STAT in the fall 2019 as an online course and it was nothing but the best! Watch the videos before you do the homework because its helpful and will get you a good grade in the quizzes and test! Took midterm and final on campus but they are just like the practice ones he puts out!
Cody is the best math professor at NHCC. He gives you all the resources you need to do well, and is helpful if you dont understand something. Elementary stats online was pretty easy, but you have to do the work. You wont regret taking his classes!!!
Cody is fantastic! You can tell he clearly wants everyone to suceed. Due to COVID, this course was entirely online and was open book. Figuring out the problems is reasonable with Pearson MML. Homework is a lot of work but manageable. Exams are the questions from the homework so do them. Excellent instructor who gives TONS of resources to succeed!
online calc with cody was good. it was tough with lots of homework but its a 5 credit class so thats expected. he does give you lots of helpful resources to help you succeed though. also, look at the examples when doing homework. they show you exactly what you need to do. dont worry youll do fine if you put the work in.
I took both Codys Precalculus and Calculus 1 class and got an A in both. He sets it up so that you do 3 sections per week and they are due Monday night. Every chapter has a quiz and theres midterm and final. If you have the chance, take his class! Hes great!
Uses MyMathLab for homework, tests, and quizzes. There are no lecture meetings. In the syllabus, he says not to email him with questions because he doesn't like a full inbox. This is not the class for someone who likes teacher interaction or for procrastinators. If you have questions, post them before they become urgent.
Great! I had educator Cody for Calculus I. He sets up the material in order to be succeeded on the online course. he uses an easy teaching method, where you watch videos and do assignments. The test and the quizzes are directly from the videos. He has a lot of resources to prepare you to pass on the exam and the quizzes. He is supper good.
He's one of my favorite math teacher! The outline for the class was easy to understand. He always replied emails when I emailed him. If you keep doing your homework, you will get a good grade!!
Online classes arent for everyone, but obviously COVID didnt give us a choice. But after taking numerous online classes, I can say that Cody is one of the best. Anyone can tell that he cares about his students. The class is so organized. He gives you everything you need to succeed, you just need to utilize it and put the work in. Highly recommend
The math program used for my College Algebra class was super easy to use for homework, quizzes, and exams - it's basically all you will be using to study and take assignments with. Homework is minimal, easy, and is basically impossible to get a bad grade on. Study guides for exams are very accurate. Teacher-student contact is minimal. 10/10
I didn't understand the high rating until I took his course. Definitely worth the high rating. I usually don't reach out to my professors, but Cody is super consistent with reaching out to all his students and making sure they're up to date.
I really enjoyed his class. He's super kind, caring, and you can tell that he's super passionate in teaching and wanting his students to succeed. At first I didn't like weekly discussion because it was something new, but it happened to be the very thing that helped me a lot. Our exams are also open book, and what we learn in class is in the exams.
This College Algebra class was CHALLENGING, but he tried his best to answer questions and create homework assignments that mattered. I struggled with the homework early on, but realized the "Show me an example" feature and that was a game changer. Out of my 4 classes I took this semester this was the most time consuming. Do the work and u will pass
You will have to put in the work, but Cody really does help you out and give you the material to pass for sure! I hate math and his class and him helping actually made me understand it and enjoy it somewhat. He is a good guy and will for sure take the time to help when there are zoom calls before the midterm and final. This guy is good at his job!
Do not get a used textbook for this class, you need a MyMathLab code from an unused book! This class is easy if you get familiar with MyMathLab. The most helpful feature for me was "view an example." It does count against your score and gives you a breakdown of how to solve the problem. You get multiple chances for homework and 2 for tests.
Solid professor. Reach out if you have questions, he'll be there to help. The material can be tricky sometimes but Prof Tabbert is able to simplify and give you pointers. It shouldn't be a hard class. Reach out if you need and you'll get a good grade.
Cody Tabbert was by far the best professor I have had. I took him for elementary stats and he made it super easy. You get two tries on the hw including the final easy easy A given that you do the homework and take the tests. Also you need to do 0 math for this class, statcrunch does it for you, so once you figure out how to navigate it it's easy.
Stats is definitely a hard class, but he made it a lot easier! I never actually had any contact with him whatsoever because the class was asynchronous, but he seemed like a nice and helpful guy from his syllabus. Multiple attempts on tests and homework made the class very manageable.
The online homework assignments and online lectures can be very time consuming, but if you do the homework, watch the lectures, and participate in the online discussions, then you shouldn't have troubles with this class. He puts out two practice tests for the midterm and final, and they both help a lot with the tests.
Cody was the best math teacher I have had. His class was laid out very quickly on MyMathLab. If you do struggle to figure out math problems there are many great resources. These include the discussions, tutors, and classmates. This class was very durable and I ended up getting a high A. If you do all work on time you will be great.
Used MyLab. It was my first time using, however his navagiation was clear and it was easy to pick up. Hybrid class, all videos were posted under the homework making it easy to go back and review.. test review was also labeled clearly. Unit quizzes he allowed 2 attempts. Finals were 1 attempt with mastery allowed and extra credit. Well taught!
I took his Elem. Statistics and Algebra this semester and got an A in both courses. He's an amazing professor who is also very understanding! Def recommend :)
Cody is a caring and extremely communicative teacher! This class, however, is fairly difficult. He doesn't lecture and gives you youtube videos to figure out the content. A lot of the time, the videos don't help with the actual material so you have to spend a lot of time learning the content yourself. Don't take this class unless you have to.
Hybrid option. straight forward: use the section notes Cody provides, add onto it when reading the text. DO THE DISCUSSIONS. It's only 5% but at the end of the course, that 5% could change your letter grade for the better or worse. Allow time & take practice exam for midterm & final. close to the actual exams & can be taken as many times as needed
Amazing class! Very doable workload with a few chapters from the textbook as homework for the week. There is a quiz every several weeks that goes over everything you learned (no surprises). The tests is solely based on what you learned. You can get points back for revisions which helps enforce what you learned. Reasonable workload-Would take again!
I took Mr.Tabbert's online statistics class. We had an online test. There was a question that most got wrong. One of the students asked to be shown an example of how to do the problem. His response was that he wasn't going to do the problem for us and just told us to read the book. I had to hire a tutor to teach me so that I could pass this class.
This was my third time retaking stats, the 2 previous professors I had were very lecture oriented which is not beneficial for me when it comes to math. Cody offers a straight forward class structure and his optional lecture videos from Dr. Lance Curtis really helped me get the score I achieved because I had the independence to learn at my own pace!
I took stats with Cody twice and nothing he has done has helped me pass.. it kind of sucks because I go to every single one of his classes but his teaching style did not make sense to me and did not help with passing the course. Would I take it again with him? probably not.
I had a great experience in this math class. Initially hesitant due to past online class struggles, I found the course well-organized and easy to follow. The professor offers many opportunities to excel. As long as you do the homework and study, you should do well.
Cody's MATH1130 class is manageable with the right approach. The homework and lectures can be time-consuming, but staying on top of it pays off. unstuck AI and the practice tests were super helpful for acing the exams. Definitely take this class if you need math credits!
Very passionate about what he teaches. Gives a lot of valuable feedback on homework/weekly work. Lots of weekly work but it helps you understand the content very well, he uploads lecture notes as well. Responds quickly and efficiently and is always helpful. Make sure not to lag behind because he moves quick. Definitely recommend Professor Tabbert.
I did not mind the material in this class. The homework was fairly easy but to be honest I taught myself most of the material. I did not learn anything from his lectures that I could not have figured out myself. Tabbert is a nice professor but I do not think I would take one of his classes again just because of his teaching style.
As a nursing student taking statistics, I was very nervous/intimated going into this class. Math is not my strong-suit and never has been. This class involved a lot of critical thinking skill development, but help was very accessible and success was achievable.
Lecture might be bored or hard to understand, but as long as you did homework and practice exam then your grade will be good enough.
amazing teacher the absolute goat
