Another Brilliant Teacher at BCC. Excellent at conveying the material. Test were straight forward. They were not simple, but if you did your homework and studied reviews, you will pass. She is also VERY cool.

I like Ms. Huff. She was very cool. If you do the work and listen in class, you will do good.

To do good in her class, you must know how to play foosball. Her teaching is the easiest to follow. Tests are straight forward as long as you study and pay attention in class. Don't ever ask for take home tests. She gives you two weeks and it takes that to do them. She also loves M&M's.

Excellent Teacher; Explained concepts clearly and at the right pace. You knew exactly what to expect on tests and grading was fair. Made Calc 2 quite interesting and very fun for a math class. I suggest taking this class with this instructor.

I'm not very fond of Math but she explained things in a way that I could understand and she threw extra credit points out like crazy. She's funny, and if you keep up with the homework and study like you should, I don't see how you should make anything less than an A or a B. Highly recommended especially if you're weaker in the math area.

This is by far my favorite teacher -- EVER! I didn't even need to take CalcII! But after CalcI w/ Huff, I couldn't imagine not taking it. This prof. is a necessity if you are not mathematical and/or going onto engineering. I've never learned this much and had so much fun doing it. Not taking her course would be a loss. I was told not to take college algebra before i got out of High School and I am so glad I did. She had study groups before and after class, every sunday before a test at Barnes and Nobel. She is very helpful and she makes learning fun. She puts it in a real life situation so we sont think that we will never use the material again. Thanks Ms. Huf

I thought Calculus was rough - so rough I bombed on it twice. I had to reconfigure my thinking with Professor Huff - the BEST math teacher one can ever hope to have. If you think making Calculus easy is impossible, think again. Huff rules!

I'm in her calc 3 class right now and even though it is easy going, she sometimes gets too far behind in the material. This is sometimes a bummer if you've come to college to really learn.

She is fun. Difficult subject matter but she makes jokes to lighten up the tenseness, little dry humor at times. She does offer extra credit and help if you need it. She does like M&M's- almond especially! If I liked math I'd take her again.

I, too, am in her Calculus III class right now, but I've had her for the last 2 semesters with Calc 1&2 when, for some reason, she was an excellent teacher. This semester, however, she has missed a lot of time due to sicknesses.. which I can understand, but the time she DOES have in class is significantly wasted on irrelevant BS....

Professor Huff made learning the material really fun! If you didn't get it, she went back over the material but didn't make it boring for the people who understood originally. She really knows how to make the material easy to understand - no matter how bad you are at the subject! Two thumbs up to her and I wish there were more professors like her.

The most awesome math teacher ever! She goes well out of her way to help her students. I was so dreading college algebra, don't get me wrong, you have to know the stuff or work extra hard, but if I can get an A, so can you.

Easy teacher, but still makes you learn the material. She does talk about her personal life, but teaches efficiently, so its not like she wastes anyone's time. She makes the class fun and she is the only teacher to make calculus make sense to me. I'm taking her again this semester for Mac 2313 (calc 3) and Map 2302 (diff eqs) and she is wonderful!

Had her Calc 1. Good teacher and on the lienient side. Think I caught her on a bad semester cause we taught ourselves as much as she did.

For all those that are complaning that she didnt cover enough information it is because she lets the students decide wether or not their ready to move on to the next chapter. She is an great teacher and an easy easy A as long as you apply yourself. Duh?

every math class i had to take, i checked if she was teaching it. shes SO helpfull. ALWAYS willing to answer questions and when she does, she actually cares if you understood it. she also gives you a list of the homework questions that will be on the test (just with diff numbers) I took her twice and i LOVE her. even her cooky sence of humor.

I was a horrible Math student prior to taking her class. I hated it so much that I was pretty sure I would never graduate. She not only made me want to come to class but she kept me interested in learning the topics. She is the most down to earth professor I have ever had. Her reviews are good and tests are definitely fair.

If you like staying in class the whole time, taking hard tests, and doing homework, then don't take Ms. Huff. You don't have to worry about any of that in her class.

If you have taken algebra 2 in highschool then this is like a review. she teaches the 1st 15-30min. of class, and she does helps you. If shes going fast say TURTLE!she is a nice lady. BUT!! if you want to suceed in other classes like precalc & so on, then don't take her.I learn on my own better than in the class. Its UR choice, work or talk.

When will I ever use statistics? Great professor for students who will never use statistics again in their life.

fair grader and understanding of students needs...I was going to take her for STA also but was informed that she wasn;t taking on that class, I would recommend her for anyone looking to get in and out of College Algebra without a breakdown.

WONDERFUL teacher, I panic just thinking about that four letter word....MATH She broke everything down into understandable segments. Gave plenty of time for questions and worked at making sure the students could meet the requirements of the class. Will be taking my Statics class with her in the fall and I actually am looking forward to it!

She is a great teacher. Very helpful. I took college algebra in a 6 week condensed course and she only taught what you really needed to know and skipped the problems that you will never use again in your life. If you show up and pay attention you will do well in her class.

Very Helpful! If you are taking full time courses this class wont beat you up, she will work with you and help you with whatever you need. Do all the quizzes and study the material taught and you will be fine!

Let me update, because theres been alot of time since people have rated Mrs. Huff. She is a wonderful teacher! She has had severe back issues and still attempt to teach us what she thinks will be useful to us, which is better then going over chapters we will never need. Yes she gives breaks once in a while,which I dont classify as a bad thing!

I never received a passing grade in any math class before Ms. Huff, let alone the "A" just earned! If you struggle with math then look no further! This is your math teacher! She won't let you leave until you got it right. She is more than willing to give any extra help you need during office hours. I'm taking her again for college algebra this fall

I had Ms. Huff for Inter. Algebra. She is a very cool teacher. She is great teaching Algebra to students who are not good with math. She goes over each math problem step by step and gives extra credit. If you show up to class, you will not be disappointed.

Best teacher for math, by far! This is my third class I'm taking with her. She maintains a steady pace that everyone can follow and offers plenty of help outside of class. She does NOT use MathXL!

I loved her! I am NOT a math person and was NOT excited about this class. She was helpful and I passed this class with ease. If math is NOT your subject take HUFF and you will not have to worry!

Ms. Huff is awesome! She is easy going and fair. While we do a lot of practice work and in class assignments, she ensures clarity throughout. I enjoyed having her as an instructor. She definitely wants to see all her students succeed.

Ms. Huff is AMAZING . She helps everyone, she wants you to do good THANK GOD for her I think most people wouldn't make it in math if it wasn't for her I know I wouldn't .You will learn trust me she breaks it down good where by you understand it.

While she is a great teacher the amount of tests, quizzes and hw given for a 16 wk course was a bit obnoxious. She doesnt lecture often so be prepared to teach yourself... There are 11 tests, that's right, 11. That means if you struggle through it and need those 2 hours allotted, youll spend 22hours on tests alone. not including your quizzes/hw.

If your aim is to breeze through a course without having to think and use logical reasoning, this is not the professor for you. If you are willing to learn and expand your mind and I hope that is why you are going to college.... this is professor is right up your alley.

I recently completed Ms. Huff's 6 week 1033 course as a prerequisite to move ahead to MGF 1106 and 1107. Honestly its a fast track course but If you plan accordingly do what's expected of you you can successfully complete the course. I'm adult student and haven't seen a lot this material in years but Ms. Huff 1033 class was good experience for me.

No reason to get below a B. Very nice, funny, relaxed,and gets to the point. She writes problems on the projector & gives up her notes. Available after hrs. About 4 tests, hw/extra credit online, group activity. Book not fully needed. Unorganized, syllabus changed throughout the course. Takes 2 wks to get Grades, ensure your grades are accurate.

Depends on what class you take. Math for Liberal Arts 2 is the easiest. Online MathLab was originally mandatory, changed it to extra credit (after I spent $120) Changes syllabus frequently. Very friendly, laid back. One of the easier maths. Tests not able to be made up.

Shes a great teacher, she keeps you listening because you will never know whats going to come out her mouth. We do not use Math Lab everything is written and through the book. If your not good without online or math lab, defiantly take this class. Her class is a easy A. (intermediate algebra)

Ms. Huff is a great teacher she will explain untill you understand . Never would I have guessed Id get an A in math but it is more than possible with this teacher. Shes also very funny.

Teacher goes over the test the day before. She will explain everything until you understand. She may be moody sometimes but only when class keeps talking. Good teacher

I have always been terrible with math. Ms. Huffs teaching techniques helped me a lot throughout this course. She has been the most help and best professor I have had so far! Also, she uses the text book which was a big help as well!
