Took this as a hybrid class, meeting once a week for three hours,for eight weeks. Uses canvas to full extent where all assignments are given & turned in. She is all over the place, but if you tune that part out and pay attention to the book you'll be fine. Workload is intense for 8wks but only because she uses the book in its entirety

Easy Class. All you have to do is do the assignments and use the writing center to pass.

She every good and helpful. As long as you do your work you shouldn't have any trouble at all. She even help you if you don't understand and she puts it in better words for you to get it

Just do your work your in college time to GROW UP and take off yall diapers. They not going to hold your hand through this process so I don't see why you expect it now. IF you think this class is hard you go another thing coming at a university.

This class is nothing to crazy or hard, It's a just simple college level class. Reasonable expectations, all you have to do is show up, do your work and you pass, she also gives extra credit, so definitely take advantage of extra credit. However, she gives alot of work. Only hard part is the morning quizzes because you only have 15mins to do it.

Her online class was great! She is very helpful and gives nice feedback when you do good on an assignment and constructive criticism when you need to work on something. Overall, if you complete your assignments to the best of your ability and turn them in on time, you should have no issues :) good luck!

I took Professor Gerardo's online class and was quite impressed by how thorough her instructions were for our assignments. My 8-week program was a 'squeeze' so if you are one who would benefit from having your assignments spread out, without feeling pressure, you may want to consider taking this class for a full semester. All assignments are very straight forward on canvas and grading is normal. I saw an instant increase when it came to my reading skills and scores after this course. Extremely helpful and worth my time.

Although I still do not feel like I want to read a book from cover to cover I am taking more time as I read to see if I can figure out the specifics of what I just learned. It is not so taxing any more to read.

She is such an amazing person. I honestly love her. She is fun and care-free. Her class assignments and homework are so easy. If you do the reading and the homework you shouldn't have a problem. Easy A. She makes things fun in a way that we would enjoy. She makes sure that all of us know each other in class and are paired up with someone different.

The professor work so hard to let us understand this course as vocabularies exam, reading selection exam, watching video then write about to, also visiting the reading center from time to time to learn about different subjects then write a report about it, also group work when doing the exercises, besides here amazing way to explain the material

As an instructor who has many students when you email a question, she responds immediately and will take time for a phone conferences. She is great with offering extra credit and wants to see her student achieve. A great reading refresher and /or recharge course.

Professor Gerardo online reading class is very easy to access. She is very professional , helpful, and understandable. In addition, she respond to your messages in a timely manner, and give you extra credit assignments to do if your grade is not looking to good. She also invites the students to stop by the reading center if they need help.

You will get a lot of assignments, but if you are ready to improve your college reading and want to comprehend what you read this class will give you a chance to do a lot of practice, good suggestions, and ability to grasp college textbooks. With a lot of dedication you will succeed.

All the assignments are very time worthy and it is easy to get behind if you do not keep up with the weekly homework. Grading it pretty limited online so make sure you are giving your assignments all your attention. Professor Gerardo is very understanding and grades assignments either the next day or two days after the due date.

Professor Gerardo was awesome! It is practically impossible to fail her class. She doesn't accept late work and you must participate in the weekly group discussions. I took the 8week summer course online so I was pretty busy with the work she gave, but if you plan it just right it is actually not that bad. If I could I would take her class again.

Shes amazing. We may have a lot of homework but its well organized and easy to do. She loves group activities so get ready to be partner up once a week with a different person. Professor Gerardo is very caring for the most part, all I wish was more help for new college students, specially for online college and mostly more feedback from my past grades on (how I got something wrong or explanation behind it) but I would definitely say that she is a very organized with her assignments, quizzes and exams and gives a variety.

She liked to engage with students such as giving feedback whether your assignment was great or how you can improve. I did have to buy a book for her online class, participation was a must because it was graded and you do have to read a ton. Other than that she was a great teacher.

Professor Gerardo's class isn't difficult but it isn't easy either. My reading skills really skyrocketed. The homework is very easy access and understandable. She tells us what she expects from us in the beginning and it's pretty simple. Show up and try. She can be a little difficult to get into contact over e-mail but she always ends up responding

This class is one that it not hard, she expects you to do your work and if you do you will pass. Her book is great and she has you do easy discussion posts about it (i learned a lot from her book). She did get disrespectful when I wasn't understanding something but she still gave me full credit once I did. I definitely recommend this class. Easy A!

Professor Gerardo is a excellent teacher. There are 4 essays total and she gives good feedback on the rough drafts to help you do better on your final draft. She does require a book for her class but the book is very informational and is written by her. She has weekly group discussions about her book so make sure you read it. Take her class!

Professor Colleen Gerardo was an amazing teacher because she teaches many different things like the different methods of studying for example annotating. The formation of an MLA essay starts like the heading, title, main sentences and topic sentences, the body paragraphs, and the conclusion. The double spacing between lines. Overall, agreat course.

I took Professor Gerardo's ENG98 for Summer 2020. She is a great teacher and if at any point her class or grading feels tough (at some point I did). That is because she just wants you to put a little extra work and truly learn. My writing and techniques are so much better thanks to her class and book, Coasting Through College. I truly thank her.

She kept open lines of communication and was there when I need her. She also was there if I needed encouragement. I would love to take another class with her.

The class wasn't to easy but yet had some difficulty to it. She is there if you have any questions and great teacher that cares about us passing.

I was nervous when I first started this class, but everything is routinely. You get the same assignments and they're all do on the same days that they always have been. She also requires a personalized book for her class, which is mandatory, but entirely worth it.

The homework isn't hard, you just have to do it and turn it in. Nothing about her class is difficult you just have to participate weekly.

Professor Gerardo is a great professor, I took ALS 101 and although there were many assignments they were all easy to follow and all you have to do is follow directions to pass the class. I ended up with a B minus because I got lazy with certain assignments but was still able to get a good grade.

Professor Gerardo was extremely nice the entire semester. Everything is laid out in the syllabus and each assignment so it is easy to understand. You do have to buy her book for the class but, it isn't very expensive. I would take her class again 1000% if I had to. If you need to take ALS 101, I suggest Ms. Gerardo!

This was my favorite class that I have taken so far. Professor Gerardo gives simple assignments with plenty of instruction and good feedback. She replies to emails quickly and is very helpful. She wrote the textbook for the class and it was super easy to follow. She is extremely caring and understanding towards her students.

I took this class because it's online. I really like the class you have assignments due every week, but they aren't hard. YOu are going to have to read and answer questions. The chapters are not long so the reading isn't hard. Overall, the class is easy you just have to put in the work. I would take this class again for sure.

Every week follows a certain format: Student Lingo Reflection Essay (1-Page), weekly discussion about textbook, and an easy assignment. This is a great class for freshmen that are in their 1st semester. The textbook is only $31 and is easy to read. If you do all the work, you will pass. I got 100% for the semester. NO EXAMS OR BIG PROJECTS/ESSAYS

Her syllabus says everything you need to know, you don't get too much work. You are assigned 2-3 assignments that are due every Saturday. Don't wait last minute to do them!

Easiest online class I have ever taken. I took her ASL 101 online class, and there were only 1-page essays each week that take about 30 minutes to write. She was super lovely and would send encouraging messages often. Would def take it again just because of how easy and quick it was. I never got less than 100% on any assignment.

Super easy class with Prof. Gerardo. Just weekly video essays and discussions. Didn't even need the textbook. Helpful feedback and easy grading made this a smooth intro course. Would recommend using unstuck study for quick study prep.
