Very fun class. The class always had fun, she made lots of jokes about the particular math chapter we were on. Learned a lot, never felt nervous to ask questions. One of the best professors I've had.

She understands that the class is a core. Teaches in an easily-understood format but not in a patronizing way. Always tells you what you need to know for the test. She's great.

Her teaching style is laid back and she cracks jokes all the time. You never need to do your homework, but doing it helps. She tells you exactly what will be on each test. She also gives quizes, which you will be fine on as long as you pay attention in class

I cannot say enough great things about this woman. She is one of the nicest and most understanding teachers around. I'm not a math person, but she made everything very clear. If you have to take math classes, she is by far the best professor to take. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I absolutely HATE math, but Goodwin is an amazing teacher. She is very clear, and more than willing to help you if asked. Her quizzes are fairly representative of the tests, and she is VERY good about telling you exactly what will be on the tests.

I honestly hate math, with a PASSION. I dreaded taking this class. However, Prof. Goodwin made it soo easy to understand. She tells you basically exactly what is on the test, she'll go over as many problems as you need during class (and out of class too), and she's funny. She's not boring and doesn't make things overly complicated. Fantastic!!

Prof Goodwin is simply amazing. She has akward humor and explains everything fully so that only a person with a lobotomy would not get it. This is an easy class and you honestly would have to TRY to fail it.

I went into this class thinking it was going to be really hard. But Goodwin is pretty clear, and her expectations are also very clear. She gives a homework syllabus that is easy to follow and provides helpful worksheets. Stastics with Goodwin is do-able. She has weird humor,but she is very friendly.(she speaks kind of softly,but you get used to it

Highly recommend. If you come into the class with basic knowledge of math you'll do fine. She's very clear/friendly and the quizzes translate well to the tests. Do the homework (which she doesn't collect) and an A is doable.

Great teaacher and I highly recommend her. She is very helpful and tests are laid out and crystal clear. Make sure to do the homework and you are good to go.

This is definitely a great class to take. She is easy and understands where you as students are coming from. She'll let you out early a lot and makes a lot of jokes. This is worth taking.

She is very thorough with teaching the concepts, and always allows for questions. Very patient and has a good sense of humor. The grading scale is generous & the tests aren't impossible either. Definitely a managable class if you can keep up on the homework, which is NOT collected. A few take-home & in-class quizzes, no midterm but a final exam.

Honestly, she is the best math teacher I have ever had. I struggle with math, and DREADED taking stats, but she explains everything so well and clearly! It's so easy to ace the tests if you keep up the homework. She's really funny and really nice. Definitely, definitely recommend, especially if you struggle with math.

She is an awesome professor. I had to take algebra and it was really easy and she is really laid back. Tests are simple and homework isn't graded. Just know what you are doing and you will do fine.

Prof Goodwin is an AMAZING math teacher. I was terrified of this class having barely passed other math classes and ended up with an A. She is very approachable and wants students to learn. She speaks very fast so be prepared to write, but she will stop and explain if you are lost. Excellent with office hours and always willing to help on tests.

Seriously, I suck at math and I got an A in both math classes I've taken from her. There is no way to do poorly in her class unless you really just need help. Super easy, even if you're terrible at math. Highly recommended.

Easy class but definitely worth it if you just need a math credit. Homework is optional and there is a review day before every test. Also, if you have an A in the class at the end of the semester, you don't have to take the final.

Prof. Goodwin is a very nice and easygoing professor. She is a little bit soft spoken for an early morning class, but teaches the material very effectively. Tends to move quickly through the material so make sure to take plenty of good notes. Highly recommended.

Prof. Goodwin has to be the nicest and most encouraging professor at Gonzaga! She explains all the concepts very clearly, has a good sense of humor and cares for all her students. Goodwin produces a laid back atmosphere that helps her students achieve.

Colleen is a fantastic professor, she's a super sweet/kind woman & knows her stuff. Weekly quiz's + multiple choice exams make it easy to do well if you do the assigned homework in preparation. I wish other math classes were like this!

This is such and easy course and she is so sweet. She's willing to help in any way she can and tries to let you out early every single day (and she usually does!). Her class is so easy, I would recommend her to anyone who wants an easy A. Love her! (Don't bother buying the book unless you KNOW you'd use it.)

She is very nice! Tries to make class a little more interesting. She explains everything very well. She gives book assignments as practice but doesn't collect/grade any of them. Some quizzes and tests, you get a notecard for notes and a paper for notes for the final. Recognize what formula to use then it's super easy!

Great professor. If you're good at math, don't bother buying the book. She explains everything well enough that you just have to take good notes. There's homework every night if you need it, but the concepts are pretty simple. It's not much harder than high school level math analysis.

To the point, clear. If you go to class your life will be easier. Handouts contain all the homework you'll need to do if you get math. She know's it's a required class and tries to make it easy. She also scuba dives!

Professor Goodwin is what every college professor should be like: professional, easy to understand, and sometimes funny. She knows her stats and will teach you, all you have to do is pay attention in class. No need in having the book, optional assignments but if you pay attention in class you don't need to do them. One of my favorite professors.

Great prof. Very clear and friendly. Assigns homework for you to practice the material but does not collect it. I once slept through a test of hers and she let me take it because I told her the truth about it. Not all profs will do this. If I had to take a math course here again she'd be my first pick. I am NOT a math person but she made it easy.

Dr. Goodwin is one of the best math teachers I have had. She is very clear when presenting concepts and is happy to answer any questions students may have. She assigns (optional) practice problems, and it helps your grade if you work on these and ask questions.

Professor Goodwin is the math teacher we all wish we had had in high school. She is absolutely AMAZING. She made things I studied with for a year and never learned easy. There are several tests and quizzes, but they aren't hard and are almost identical to study guides. Homework is assigned, but not collected.

A great professor who wants the best in all students. She is sweet, kind, and makes the material SUPER was to read. I HIGHLY recommend her and hope you get her as your professor. She made math much more reasonable and helped in any way she could.

College Algebra is not a difficult class, the hw is optional, 4 exams and Final Exam, there are online study guides for each test and the exam questions are taken from there, she teaches the lesson then lets you leave early practically everyday, I only did the study guides and I hardly ever refer to my class notes (I 88's on all of the tests)

Listen, I HATE math, and I am terrible at it. But Goodwin is frickin hilarious and makes it so much fun. Her class is the most laid back i've ever had to take, and you don't have to do the hw. Tests are super easy because she gives you a study guide with similar questions. I love her and would definitely take her again.

She is very nice and she is always prepared for class. She is also very funny and gets distracted often but still gets everything done in class time. If you do the homework that she gives then you will pass very easily.

Professor Goodwin is amazing! She is so funny and explain things as simply as possible making it hard to get confused or not follow her lectures. Homework is optional and I only did it if I was confused which was hardly ever. Class ends early almost every day and she always makes it go by fast. Definitely take her if you can!!

Colleen teaching of Introductory Statistics is clear, simple and understandable. She assigns optional homework every night for extra practice, her tests are exactly like the review packets she gives and she's a big fan of take-home tests. Not only are her lectures short and to the point, she's really funny too!

Nightly homework but completely optional. If you want to do well, you show up to class and do the homework. Weekly quizzes, four tests and a final. She drops your lowest couple of quizzes and is an angel during office hours, very willing to help and very understanding!

Colleen is the best. The content of the class was somewhat difficult for me, but she gives a review before the test which is extremely helpful. There are only 4 tests (and she dropped my lowest test grade), a few quizzes (which she often didn't even grade), and a final. The homework is completely optional too

Best math teacher ever. I'm not a math person, and she made stats super easy and is always accessible and helpful outside of class. She's very understanding of the fact that we're busy college kids and all the homework is optional and she drops your lowest quiz score at the end. She also brought her puppy to class one day and tells funny stories!

She's awesome! I had a horrible math teacher first semester and was very scared coming into this class but she's amazing! Very nice, explains things very well and actually cares about her students!

Goodwin was a great prof to take for a required math class! It was pretty easy and she drops the lowest test score which is great. Also a majority of the quizzes were take home. She's so cute and sweet and I would totally recommend her. Love her!

Does take home quizzes which are graded as 100%. Do not need to do homework as it is not checked and not very helpful. Provides study guides for tests and final. Easier than when I took stats in high school. Brought her puppy to class! If that is not a good enough reason to take her class I don't know how to help you.

I LOVE Colleen! This class is really one where you get by as a result of your own knowledge and hard work as it is only determined by quizzes and tests. However, quizzes and tests are fairly easy if you take the time to master the skills and study. Goodwin is awesome and super funny. You'll love her and her cute dog

She is so chill! She is really understanding about busy times, especially game nights. She often makes quizzes take home, and then gives us all 100% anyway. The homework is optional, but a good idea to do. Weekly quizzes, and bi-weekly tests. She doesn't take attendance, but she covers a new topic every class, so I would go if I were you.

Colleen is so nice and laid back. Once the class starts getting hard, she starts giving take home quizzes just to give you extra points. The tests can be hard, but as long as you do the homework and the review packet she provides then they are much easier. Definitely the best BUSN114 professor.

Patient & helpful. Does take attendance, but important to attend in order to keep up. Quiz and test questions come from the test reviews and homework. The very first test will be REALLY easy. But keep study habits consistent. The lessons get way harder. 4 tests overall. Class average after each test (by memory) : 93 - 78 - 72 - 76.

Goodwin is a good professor and seems to enjoy interacting with her students and helping them out. The only negative about the class is that Goodwin tends to FLY and I MEAN FlY through her lessons so you have to ask her to slow down. It is important to go to class because it's easy to fall behind. 4 Tests, a few quizzes online quizzes and 1 final.

Goodwin is great. Business Analysis is definitely easier if you've already taken calculus, but her teaching allows for success even if you haven't. If you skip class, you'll miss a lesson & probably feel behind, but if you pay attention while you're there, you'll be good. Review packet prepares you for tests. Sit close to the front! She's quiet!

Super chill professor and a very easy class. She only takes attendance the first couple days and makes a lot of the quizzes take home. The tests are almost identical to the study guide and if you show up to class and do the worksheets they will be very easy for you.

She cares about her students and the material they're learning. If you've done algebra and some basic math before college, then this class won't be hard. Otherwise though, she explains the material very well, and often lets you out of class early if you get done with the lecture. 4 tests and a final, not hard.

Took this class via Zoom and wow! professor Goodwin was so kind and caring. I genuinely felt like she wanted me to succeed throughout the semester. The exams and quizzes were very fair and no surprises as it should be. She teaches VERY fast, but also very clearly. Professor Goodwin is great! 4 exams and a cumulative final, which are all doable if you complete the recommended hw problems and the review. We only met via Zoom on Mon & Wed, then she'd usually post a video or quiz for Fri. Don't be afraid to ask questions and don't worry if you've never taken calc before!

4 online tests that are not super hard and weekly quizzes that take 20 minutes at most. This is a very easy class and Colleen really wants to see you succeed. There is also no mandatory homework.

Colleen is great and the class is pretty easy if you do the reviews (she uses similar questions and sometimes puts exact review questions on tests). Graded by a couple easy online weekly quizzes, 4 tests, and final. Homework isn't mandatory. She normally lets you go early and is very approachable. Just do exam reviews and you'll be good.

Textbook is required, but not necessary. At the start of each chapter she'll post a packet online and during class she will just fill out this packet. The tests will be styled like these packets. HW is optional. There is a quiz about once a week online. Doesn't take attendance. If I didn't skip alot I definitely would've gotten an A instead of a C.

Just take this class with Prof. Goodwin, she will help you understand math in such an easier way that it will benefit you for life. She is kind, compassionate, but most of all considerate of all the other hard courses we have. She has optional homework but if you want to know what's going on I suggest doing at least a few problems per section!!

Never used the textbook, so dont buy it. Homework is optimal. Just take her notes and u will b fine. There were 4 exams and they all were online and she allowed use of formulas and calculators. She is very nice and accommodating. Never took attendance or got to know any of us, which was fine.

Professor Goodwin is a very good professor. She does not have class on Friday and the class is really easy if you know anything about calculus going into it. If not, she is very good with questions and there are a lot of practice problems in the homework. Good teacher, very approachable, and very nice.

If you have the take MATH121, I highly recommend Professor Goodwin! She makes the class very manageable and if you do the worksheets she gives you then you'll ace the tests. She gives great example problems that are very similar to the test as well. Homework is optional but do the worksheets cause you will get an A in the class!

If you already know some stats this class should be a breeze. If not, you basically have to teach yourself everything. Basically no time commitment with homework or class, but set aside some study time if you want a good grade. Only quizzes and tests.

If you are not good at math, or do not have a lot of math/stats experience do not take Dr. Goodwin because you will basically be teaching yourself. If the content should be easy for you then I definitely recommend her as the work load is very minimal as you are only graded on 4 tests + final as well as some take home quizzes.

The class is graded by weekly quizzes, four exams and a final exam. Goodwin does an excellent job explaining material but can sometimes make math errors so don't feel shy asking about them. She holds a class before each exam dedicated to answering questions about the review, which the exams are almost replicas of so I recommend asking questions.

Goodwin is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She is kind, funny, and honest about what she requires of students. I had never taken statistics before and had no problem with her class, make sure you print out the packets she posts online! Study guides are provided and directly reflect what will be on exams.

Professor Goodwin is generally helpful, but the class structure can be challenging if you're new to Calculus. Stay on top of the material and don't be afraid to ask questions - she wants you to succeed. unstuck ai can be a great study tool alongside the textbook and review sessions.

She is an incredible stats teacher, she made it so easy to understand as a student who had previously taken AP stats in high school. She will ask any question you ask her and help you if you ask. She cancels class a lot and for every quiz friday (taken online). You only have a couple tests which were easy and the final was cumulative but so do-able

Goodwin is very caring and loves to answer questions, she'll also go off topic at times but it's quite amusing! Your grade consists of four exams, take home quizzes and a final. Homework isn't required but if math is not your strong suit, I suggest doing it and asking questions when she gives time at the first half of class and during review days.

Kind, caring, and great sense of humor. As for teaching, she's pretty solid, a fast talker, and sometimes she stands in front of the board while people are still writing problems. You will have four exams, each worth 100 points; you will also have a handful of online(take-home) quizzes, and the final is worth 200 points. Homework is not graded.

She's a good professor overall, but sometimes speaks quickly and quietly, and occasionally blocks the whiteboard while writing. Homework isn't graded, so tests are everything—4 worth 100 points each and a cumulative final worth 200. Clearer explanations and better visibility would improve the experience.

This class was really not that bad. The only grades are tests and quizzes, and I would not rent the textbook since it was 300 dollars and she doesn't even collect homework. If you just study the practice tests, the actual tests will be easier and they are super similar to the practice ones.
