I hate history, but I like this class. She tries to make it interesting, and her tests aren't that bad. But, she gives these reaction paper things, which I don't like, but I still like her and the class. She's pretty cool. Take her.

weird name, but dont be scared, shes one of the best professors. Super smart, relates well with students, and makes all the same old crap sound new and interesting. no attend. policy, but if you go, take some notes, and make a few flash cards, i gaurantee you that A.

The best professor possible... she relates well with the students and makes the class feel comfortable and not uptight. I couldn't possibly have a better professor than Dr. Colleen... anyone who needs to take a history class needs to take it with her!! Don't need to buy the book! Just go to class, pay attention, and you'll learn a lot!

She is a great teacher. You do have to go to class because her notes are a key player in doing good on the test, but she makes lectures interesting. SHe is very interested in History and this shows through her teaching. If you go to class and take good notes you will get a good grade.

I really enjoyed this class. I have never really been interested in history, but she made the facts interesting. She gives study guides and if you complete it and look over it a few times, you are set for an A in the class. Take her!

great teacher, young, funny, and a pleasure to learn from. if you do bad in one of her classes you should probably just quit school and give up and all acedemics. she's is not an easy teacher, she is just good. to do bad in her class means you did not go or you are just horrible at school period. i have had her twice the last yr. great teacher.

dr v. is super a super hot brazilian woman:) makes history interesting. take alot of notes, and when she gives out study guides study the terms on the guide. dont bother buying a book, jus take good notes. her class is easy

Possibly the easiest class I have ever taken. Dr. V knows most of us didnt want to take the class and is fine with it. if you go to class the book is worthless. Just take notes and fill out the study guide and you will have an A...and if not you are completely retarded.

Dr. V is the BEST professor on this whole campus. Her class is extremely easy and interesting becuase of the way she teaches. She is enthusiastic about the class you dont even need to use the book her lecture is very detailed and self explanatory. I absolutely LOVE this woman !

This is the best teacher that I have had at UWG so far. She is very passionate about what she teaches and she makes her students feel that way also. Considering that I dont like history very much she is still willing to help. I loved her class!Everybody should take her.Easy A!

Vascon is a great professor! I recommend her to anyone who hates history but wants to pass with an A! I hate history and anything dealing with it, but she explain everything in a way where I actually retained the information and stayed awake in class. I pass all the test and the final. Take her!!!

Very fair and understanding. What's on the study guide is on the test! What she talks about in class is on the test! Pay attention and you will get an 'A'. You feel absolutely no stress nor pressure while taking her class.

Her class is very easy. You just take notes, and you will get an A. I didn't open the textbook for the whole semester. Her teaching is awesome!

This is the most fun class I have taken in a long time. I had no interest in history, what so ever, but Dr V made me want to change my major to history. If she was the only history professor at UWG I would change my major in a heartbeat!

AMAZING teacher! she is such a cool person! and she's down to earth! the class was not too bad either, she gave you all the information you need for the tests! this was my absolute favorite class of ever being at this school. she is such an understanding teacher that will help you whenever you need it. and go to class, she's hillarious and fun!

I had her for both US 1&2, and honestly this is the best history class i have ever taken! all you have to do is go to class and write down everything she says! dont even bother buying the book!! plus, shes hilarious! so class isnt that boring-- shocking right? its supposed to be a history class! =]

She is very nice and funny. She is a great teacher, easy to understand and the way she teaches makes you actually want to learn. She does not have an attendance policy! You do not need the book, test come from notes and she gives out study guides. The test is STRAIGHT from the study guide.

Best teacher I've had in college! Young and cool...not boring at all. No attendence policy, however if you go to class and take notes there is no need to buy the book. No paper, 3 multiple choice tests, and weekly 1 page responses. VERY EASY and she makes history interesting! I would recommend her to anyone!

she is AWESOME!! i recommend her to anyone that has to take history. I never was interested in history until i took her classes. I had her for World history and Us History and LOVED both classes!! Her tests are super easy, she gives you a study guide like a week before the test and everything on the test is on the study guide! TAKE HER!

The ONLY reason I'm recommending her is b/c I won't be having her as a teacher anymore. EVERYONE fights to get into her classes. She's great, and so hilarious. Extra credit rocks. EASY A. If I had to take her again, I wouldn't be recommending her b/c I would want a spot in her class! lol. What she says in class, is what's on the test. Straight up.

She is the best. My History professor is no longer teahing at the school anymore and so she took over our class just this past Tue. and she is already so helpful to me. She is willing to work with you to ensure that you make a good grade out of her class. She is hilarious and make it easy to understand what she lectures about. I love her!!

Great Teacher. Nows her stuff. If you are taking this class to learn something than learn you will...but if you are taking it as an easy grade wrong class because she makes you work...which I loved. Great office hours, helpful when you ask her questions. Very blunt and straightforward. You won't regret taking her for any class.

Makes history fun, and always offers extra credit. Gives syllabus quiz that is hard & can hurt your grade. Tests got a lot harder from previous semesters & you will only get participation points if you talk in class.. even with an 89... I got a B, unfair :(

Ok I don't know what you guys are talking about. Her tests are hard, and I go to class and take notes. I even did the study guide. But her tests had some really hard questions on it and I had to fight for my B. Be careful with her. She's nice and her class is fun, but her tests are tough. And watch out for that syllabus quiz. It's tricky.

Dr. V is an amazing professor! I had her for slavery and emancipation and an Independent study and I learned so much in both classes! Make sure you do the readings and participate in class! Lectures also keep you involved in class so you will want to participate. She is the best professor at the university and I look forward to taking her again!

Dr. V was pretty awesome. If you failed her class you were stupid! All you have to do is take notes, study, and read the material she asks you to read. CRAZY! who ever thought they would have to do that to pass a class. You're an amazing teacher Dr. V!

Dr. V is a great professor! Clearly tells you what she expects from each assignment and her class is easy to pass as long as you do the assignments. But if you want an A you have to work for it! she doesn't hand it out.

There were no tests or quizzes. It was all discussions and 5 fun and fictional blog posts. There were three reaction papers. Discussions are important, but not hard to answer. Her notes really help you understand the material, since there is no textbook. Midterm and final are essays you do from your computer(have a week to do them).She's very nice.

UGH. It is finally over! She makes you post 14 times to one discussion board to make a 100, every week. It was death. There was no point. I made an A, but it was out of spite of her that I tried. It is an easy A, but those 14 post weekly discussions, 5 part project, 3 papers, and two tests. It was WAY TOO MUCH for an intro class.

Dr. Vasconcellos is the best history professor I have taken in college. I would even go as far to say in my top 2 best professors. I took her class online, so you HAVE TO do the reading, but the content is really not that difficult. She is very clear on her expectations and it is obvious that she wants you to do well.

I loved Dr. Vasconcellos! She was a great professor. I took eCore online and everything was laid on with deadlines and rubrics. Every time I emailed her, she emailed me immediately back. Super nice and funny. You will learn to appreciate her memes.

Professor Vasconcellos is one of the best teachers Ive had for not just any online class but any class in general. Shes considerate of her students and gives good feedback on discussions and papers. Anything I ever had points taken off for was entirely justified. Tests can be hard, but the final and midterm are writing assignments so thats cool

She was appositely amazing! The quizzes were difficult but as long as you pay attention they are doable. Just about every week she posted a new meme into the notification bored, and honestly, it just made my day! She's amazing and wonderful to work with! Also if you have any questions she does her best to explain it!

I took this class online and I would take her again. As long as you participate in the discussions and read the material for the quizzes you should be fine. The midterm and final were papers so overall there were no tests. The quizzes arent the easiest but youll be fine!

She is awesome take her if you can! Took her for online history. She spells everything out for you and is super accessible. You wont regret taking her class super funny!

This professor is really chill. She uses memes in her discussion posts and her writing is easy to understand. The reading load was extreme but the quizzes were directly taken from the readings. She made the quizzes and discussions count for more so we didn't have to take any exams. I would definitely recommend taking her.

Taken during COVID. Class was all online. Work was due every 2 weeks which included a discussion post and a photo post. The discussions were over reading. Had a semester long project which was easy and 2 essays as well. Graded everything on time and did reminders every week for work due.

Prof. Vasconcellos is a great professor who knows how to provide you with ample work without piling up to much without ample time to finish it.

She made it very easy, you have a quiz and discussion due every 2 weeks. You also have 4 writing assignments spread out throughout the semester too. She sends weekly reminders for when things are due so it is not hard to not be caught up in her class. There's no exams in this class which i loved because i get testing anxiety.

Coming from a history major, the course content is good. There are assignments due every 2 weeks, but they're pretty easy. Mostly quizzes, but there are a few short essays, 2 of them being creative writing. She posts memes with her announcements. Take her for an easy online class with your regular semester.

She's chill and the material she gives are always the same. Her course is very self-explanatory.

2 Weeks to work on a unit, Read the assigned lectures, one quiz per unit and one short assignment per unit. No discussions which was lovely!!

appreciate how we are given 2 weeks for each unit, and there is only 1 assignment and quiz per unit. The class isn't difficult if you throughly read the information as well.

Great professor indeed! Provides quite positive feedback, not very strict with grading at all, just, of course, get ready to read a bunch, considering if you're taking an array of different classes at the same time.
