colleen is the best professor i ever had at hcc. the class is very relaxed in atmosphere, but i still learned more there than in any other class. You have to take at least one of her classes!

AMAZING professor! I loved both her ENG 102 and 219 courses. Only teacher I felt like I ever actually learned anything from at HCC. Very funny, smart, and passionate. Classes were always engaging. HIGHLY recommend taking one of her classes! They do fill up quick though.

I took the same course as the previous reviewer, and can confidently say that Colleen Webster is not unprofessional, disrespectful or close minded in any way shape or form. I honestly can't think of a single time that she treated a fellow classmate negatively. She is helpful, approachable, intelligent, and an altogether wonderful teacher!

What other teacher asks you how your soul is doing today? Or wears yoga cloths and colorful rain boots? She is friendly, informed, and adapts to her class. Each paper gets a personal response with her feedback. Prepare to read a lot. Her tests are fair but hard. They require memorizing details from reading.

Prof. Webster only has about 2 neg. comments on here--that is because she is a teacher's professor. I don't think she's capable of not liking anyone. She adapts her class to fit bad weather, canceling tests if too many snow days pile up, and you get to go outside on nice days. You don't have to participate in class. By far, she is the teacher who completely turned my college experience around. Before her, I had struggled just passing ENG 101. Thanks to her, I passed, became an English major, started writing poetry/taking her poetry classes, and am now a student at University of Cincinnati. Soon to graduate with my B.A. in English. :)

I LOVE COLLEEN WEBSTER! She is an amazing person who will transform your writing and your life! Some of our classes on nice days were "Nature Walks". Her teaching is concise and useful. She doesn't have lots of strict, meaningless guidelines, but instead asks you to just write something good. I love her! Definitely take her class!

Ms. Webster is a great teacher! It is beyond evident that she loves her job, and she comes to class everyday with a very possitive attitude and an up lifting spirit. Took her for 101 and loved it! I can't see any English class being unbearable if she is teaching! We went on walks, did many peer reviews on small papers and had 1 major paper.

She is one of the best English professors at HCC! She is very nice, understanding, and fair professor. I love American Women Writers class! She expected us to read the piece of work before every class and we discuss and takes notes. Only 2 papers. But we do a lot of reading so if don't like to read this class may not be for you.

Probably one of my favorite people (not just teachers). I learned so much from her class about life, the world we live in, and how I want to live. She made me think about our earth differently and exposed me to new views. She's not just going to give you a grade on something, you have to earn it but it will be worth it when you do.

She is very outgoing and knows a lot about nature, her English 101 classes are nature based so everything is strictly nature. It's awesome, you take walks around campus and talk about stuff you see. I recommend taking her this professor.

I love Ms. Colleen! Her English 101 class was environmentally based which was incredible. She loves going on walks and most of the papers you write you can choose the topic on, which makes it a lot easier. She makes English class easy and fun, plus she's an awesome person to talk to!

Best professor in this school . Hands down the best. She loves nature and the environment so if your no into that then this English class isn't for you. Shes funny and has a great personality. Very down to earth individual and shares her stories every day. I'm happy that I sacrificed my math class professor to get this English teacher.

Very great professor. Would definitely recommend her to anyone. You do go outside 3-5 times during her course and do nature walks which I found cool. Very funny and easy to talk to. By far my favorite professsor at HCC. Knows ALOT about birds animals and plants.

She is very fond of the environment and she is and excellent professor. If you know anything about nature, show up to class and participate you will get an A. The 7:50a.m. morning walks around campus can be cold sometimes but its good to not sit at a desk all day.

Prof Webster is amazing. Her class is environmental based and she gives the most inspirational lectures and really makes you think. Shes so zen and chill making it super easy to get along with her. She takes her classes on nature walks and prepares you really well for her essays. She shows you how to organize your thoughts and many examples.

I love Colleen. She is so amazing and really cares about her students. This class is essentially reading a piece about someone that affected the environment such as Henry David Thoreau and taking notes on the biography that a student presents in class. Just show up, read the assignment, and its an easy A. Colleen is the most down to earth person.

Colleen is amazing. This course is reading a piece and doing a biography about that person & the culture of that piece. My class was small so everyone did 2 people, but its really easy!! Theres a potluck day and you watch movies for the last 5 weeks! Colleen is down to earth and inspirational. Im taking her for a 4th time this upcoming semester!

I had Webster for creative writing. It was an easy A as long as you do what she asks and turn stuff in on time. She doesn't use blackboard which is my only complaint. She inspires me to spend more time in nature and to appreciate the world. I love her little side comments and the stories and poems she reads to the class are always well picked.

Professor Webster is amazing! Be prepared to read materials before class and be ready to discuss the piece. Only two research papers to write and only a few tests, final is not cumulative. This is an environmental literature class and she takes her classes outside often, when the weather is nice.

I enjoyed my semester with Professor Webster, she was very clear and understanding. Even though during this difficult time of Covid-19 , Professor Webster was always available to help in any given time of need. I would absolutely take her class again. Her Drama course is based upon reading and being involved with plays that you would go over .

Environmental focus in class with research topics having an ecological theme, mostly solo work with some class presentations. I felt respected as a student. You will get out what you put in - not an easy grader, but fair. Would recommend Prof. Webster to a friend.

Professor Webster is great! We took nature walks and read some short essays. Everything is environmental themed but that is what made it interesting. I would def take her class again. She is not too strict and doesn't have defined criteria for most papers.
