He is a new professor. He is good but way above the students heads in terms of his teaching. He realized that after the 1st test.Hes funny as hell though. I would seriously recommend him to anyone. If you try your best, you should pass.

I think he's the easiest one from biology teachers.He gives 4 exams.First one was sort of hard(62.5%),second one was easy only definitions(95%),third 'take home' (95%) and fourth one I am taking in two days.He also gives final, but the questions should be from all 4 exams.He drops one lower grade.He is really helpfull and he really wants student to

I love Dr. Thomas he is the best professor I tried to take another professor last semester with the same class I did'nt understand anything but he really makes you understand and he is funny to that does'nt hurt either.

Dr. Thomas is a brilliant instructor with a passion for teaching. His enthusiasim is captivating and well worth money and time in his class. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Thomas for both non-science majors, but a MUST for science majors. He is incredible!

He is very enthusiastic about teaching Biology. He obviously loves the subject. His doesn't give out notes or review for tests which would be very helpful.

4 letters...ADHD...He is VERY passoinate about biology and will pass that on to you. His tests are easy as long as you pay attention in class, which isnt hard with his commanding tone keeping you on edge. Very nice and easy to work with. A++

After a rough start to his first semester at CCCC, in fall 2005, he was understanding to the fact that students have other classes and he was more understanding to that concept. He grades fairly and was able to curve to help the students pass. He is a teacher, after the 2nd half of the semester i would recommend!!

Good guy. He's insanely smart. Wants to help you do good. He's funny in a goofy way. Believes we evolved outta slime. I feel like most of the material went over my head. The tests are basically just vocab though.

Dr. Thomas loves biology and he wants his students to love bilolgy after take his class too. His passionate teaching brings students to a new world. His tests are not hard as long you read the books. Most are basic concepts and strait forward questions. I strong recommend him.

I agree with all the other comments. He will definitely help you out in understanding Biology, and challenges you to argue your point. If you do so, he is more than willing to give you credit for your answer. Take this guy if your taking BIO 1406, and enjoy the easy tests.

he's amazingly nice and very patient. he is hilarious, and even the cheesy jokes make you laugh. i attend the lecture as often as possible, but the book covers everything on his tests. i recommend him because i have never liked biology and he made me forget that!

Funny, nice, knowledgeable. Somewhat disorganized lectures, so it's a little difficult to review for his tests. Make sure you pay attention to the textbook. Overall a nice guy.

I'd definitely recommend this chap. He grades fair and is hot in a nerdy sort of way.

Prof. Thomas is by far one of the best science teachers I have ever had. He is enthusiasic about his subject and encourages students to argue with his answers if they truly believe in another one. His tests are not tricky, very straight-forward --- if you read the chapters and take notes, you will make an A.

Believe me, If you just study not even really hard you get A for sure. He is one of the best prof. his class is fun and easy you love it and enjoy it. for biology you get an easy A. i love him and I take genetic with him also.

I really love this professor. He is always sweet and kind. If you need any help from him, what you need is just ask for a help because I'm sure that he is willing to help you. I really hope that I can take his genetic class next semester. I'm just exited and blessed that I took him and I got to know him.

Dr. Thomas is the best. This is not a cut and dried biology lecture straight out of the book (thank goodness)! You will learn a lot of concepts, but might not gain a lot of book knowledge. Dr.Thomas makes his class fun, interesting, challenging (take home tests required quite a bit of time) and he wants you to THINK!

He really cares about his students and wants them to do well. We had 1 in class test and 2 take home tests. His take home tests were really difficult but he figured you should still do well since you get to take them home. I got a B just becuase I could have tried harder and gone to class more so if you do these things I know you could make an A.

He is extremely intelligent, prob. the smartest at quad c and knows how to teach. i never opened the book or took notes-- just listened to lecture. I liked him because he usually had an answer for pretty much everything I asked in office hours and when he didn't know he'd tell you he didn't--then come back with an answer a day later

I think he is super intelligent and very excited about teaching Biology.he is not like those professor who would come to class copt notes and leave! he is very knowledgable and if you take him ,you would have a good back round of Biology.his tests are not easy ,yet not impossible.just read the text book and you'll be fine.great guy and fun.

He's an ok teacher. sometimes confusing but overall good teacher. He's hard to understand sometimes because he gets sidetracked. His tests are hard but sometimes you get to take them home which totally rocks. I would take him again

The best science teacher I have ever had by far! he is so good! he cares about people and when ever anyone asks a question he get's excited and tells you what a great question it was. He helps any way he can and encourages you to challenge answers on the test- if you have a good reasoning he gives you credit for it. AWESOME!!!!!

Best professor I've ever had. He's so passionate and excited about the subject it's impossible to stop yourself from being interested. Always provides create mental images of how and why things work. Truly interested in teaching you the fundamentals so you can analyze things yourself. Talks fast. Incredible vocabulary. Reasonable/easy tests.

i had him for lecture he was awesome he has take home tests.. give you all the answers to the in class test so all you have to do is study he loves biology i recommend him for the people who could care less about biology

He was an okay professor....I don't know that I would take him again. His tests are definitely easy -- he gives you ALL of the answers ahead of time. He definitely seems to support Darwin and evolution, so if that bothers you too much, I wouldn't recommend taking his class. Overall, though, it was okay.

I took him for biol & genetics. Great teacher. enjoyed him even more in genetics class (his specialty). Fun class. lecture/lab combo. I totally recommend Dr. Thomas!!!!

I hated the fact that I had to take this class but I need it.I'm a B and C student in science and I got an A. Also, take him for lab. He will help tutor you if you need it. He also lets you fight for an answers if you miss it on the test. His test are ok because he tells you what to study on the review before the test. He Rocks!!!!

I love Dr. Thomas!! I think he is probably the best teacher I have ever had in any class and by far the best scientist i have ever had.I took AP biology in high school and barely passed the tests,but Dr. Thomas explains everything so well in a way that I can understand.He is goofy and funny and makes a class that would normally be so boring, so fun

Dr. Thomas is a really nice guy. He is very helpful, however is a bit over the top and can be confusing. He does not teach from the text book so save your money. He sort of does his own thing. He wants you to be sucessful, but he can be hard to follow, and he does not do powerpoints so you must be a good not taker.

Dr. Thomas is a very bright man who is quite passionate about biology. I found his lectures hysterically funny. While he can be confusing, he makes sure you get the important points. He gives a great test review and drops the lowest grade. Science is not my thing, but I got a high A in his class and never opened the book. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dr. Thomas is a great teacher he was very helpful. I don't understand why people say hes comfusing he's really not. He's out of the box and bounces off the wall at times but he makes a rather dull subject interesting. The man has a very good history and sometimes I dont understand why a man at his level and knowledge is teaching at quad-c.

Dr. Thomas is passionate about biology. He inspires the wonder of biology rather than a lot of rote memorization. The downside is that we didn't cover all the course material in class, but he really makes you think and want to learn more. The tests were easy and it is ridiculously easy to get an A if you go to class and take notes.

Dr. Thomas is amazing! He is so intelligent, he sometimes grabs his head as if it might explode, but that's only because he is so passionate. Astrobiology was his and Dr. Greg Sherman's 'baby' & I am priveleged for having been there. Yes, he is definitely an Evolutionary Biologist, but he does respect other views. Not what some have labeled him!!!

Professor's so good they named the school after him. Digresses often-ask questions or use book if he loses you. Very laid back, but don't let that fool you-his take home tests are beastly. Allowed for students to structure much of class content to individual interests, complete with journal club and research. Great experience, but hard-fought A.

My favorite professor, and I'm a lib arts major. I've never had a professor who invited me to think and believed in my ability to think like Dr. Thomas. He doesn't think inside the box, and gets excited when you don't either. Open minded and will do whatever it takes to help you out. You can't ask for more than that in a prof.

By far the best teacher at Quad C. The class is ridiculously easy, yet I learned (and will probably retain) more than I have in any other class in my college career. He is extremely nice, helpful, and is the most entertaining lecturer (funny as hell) that you'll probably ever have.

Ok yes he rambles & crammed to get our exams in but only cause he is so passionate about Bio! He is SO SWEET & EASY A if u just study the old test he post online & take notes while he rambles. Really great lectures, but I am an adult learner with a college degree. He conveys a love and enthusiasm for the subject that is infectious. I can see where some might find him confusing. He can speak in paragraph long sentences alluding to much history, literature, and way too much Star Trek!

He is so EASY!!! I MADE A B+ and I have not been in school in 12yrs and bad at Biology! Yes he does go off onto random subjects but just write down what he puts up on power point while he is talking and study the study guides he gives you and u will d just fine...So HELPFUL, NICE, SMART AND INTERESTING! Took his Summer I class. He doesn't give test reviews but does post old exams he has given. You can study those & similar questions will be on the exam w/a few word changes so watch out! He is super nice! Go to his office hrs & he will make everything very clear cut for you. For labs he explains everything in deets so you understand it.

Where to start! This man is one of my favorite professors. He is so kind and patient. His passion for science shows. He is very quarky and a little crazy but the best people are. Great professor! He gives previous tests as a reviews. If you study his reviews and skim over material you will make a B minimum. If you come to class and take notes on top of study the review and skim over material you will Ace the class no problem. He is always available for questions. Very out there but really funny! 1 of my best professors yet!
