She could be a **** at times but she is organized and she teaches quite well. She gives you pressure and has high expectations. Expect to put a lot of time and effort in this class, lots of work, not an easy class.

She is a very nice person. Do the study guide and memorize the lecture notes and you should have no trouble.

She comes off drill sargent-like, but as long as you put the work in you'll do great and be more than prepared for the midterm and final. She sets student expectation very high which is demanding but will pay off.

Fabulous Instructor! Very helpful and explains content well. A lot of homework! Workload is heavy considering the coverage of 2 courses (acct 110+acct 210) in 3 months. You get a lot of practice problems and a great online learning centre to complement

Good teacher a bit strict but everything is right out of the book so do your homework and the course is easy.

she is a really good teacher and her lecture is very very clear and if you paid attention ,i promise you would not fell confuse after class.Just do lots of exercise after class and would help you a lot.By the way, she is really helpful and like to answer

I like the way she teachs, and I don't know why people complain about her so much. I think she the best Accounting teacher in Doulas college. I think Douglas college should replace terrible teacher and find the best teacher like Connie Johl. she explains step by step and very easy to understand.

Careful who you take advice from, all the people comlaining about Connie dropped her class. Her late rule is not the greatest but here is the answer be on time, NOT HARD. She is the best teacher iat Douglas college and helped me organize my study habits as well as helped me find my career. She rocks

She is one of the best prof's for this course, I don't understand why anyone would complain. All her classwork and quizes are online too! Most people who complain usually don't pay attention or don't show up to every class. Like any any class you got to pay attention and you'll do great!

Ya she has that late rule but just be on time, she uses hicks notes,u dont have to read the book just notes and do some questions and u'll be fine shes hard marker with assignments,u have to format to be PERFECT!!! shes not soo bad, her tests are pretty easy.2nd midterm study variances like crazy

Even though at times she seems tough with her rules, she's goes the extra mile for the student to ensure the material gets through. Personnaly, she's the best and DC is very lucky to have her. Remember, college is training for the real world experience. Her rules are nothing like the real thing so students are lucky. And yes, she's also attractive.

Connie is the best instructor you can have for accounting. And her rules are justified, late comers are a distraction.

I have taken ACCT 1110 twice before with two other teachers but Connie was definately the best. Assignments are straight from the text (with answer key provided) and are an easy mark plus a good way to prepare you for the exams. Strict with coming to class late/late assignments but she is definately the best ACCT instructor at Douglas. Got an A.

Connie is an awesome prof. She's extremely clear and hw assignments are very helpful. She lets you mark and correct your own assignments, which is an easy 10%. Tests are very clear and not difficult at all. Got an easy A in her class, she has a great teaching style and makes class interesting. Take this prof and you will not regret a thing!

I LOVE CONNIE. people, just go to her class everyday and you will understand EVERYTHING.she reviews 24/7 so u wud kno it by heart at the end of the week. she made me like acct. i failed wit another teacher n got a B+ with her, well i got A at first (didnt study for my final exam oops.) anyway, SHES HOT FUN AND CRYSTAL CLEAR. It's a shame she only teaches the first level of ACCT - I'd take more if she taught higher levels. Late rule = those on time aren't interrupted (instituted after consistent lates from the same ppl). Uses examples and has review classes for midT/final - sets you up to succeed if you commit the time/effort.

Straight forward and interesting lectures, fair markings, easy tests and exams, very attractive!

She's a little strict, but very clear and interesting. Never get bored at the class! If you follow her, you will never lost.

it's honestly a shame that she doesn't teach acc 1210. she is very clear$organized emails you for when your assigments are due.She's the best take it with her and you'll love it.Her being strict only helps students be more organized and on track i personally didn't think she was strict. listen to her advice.she mad me love acc and chose my path

She is simply the best teacher i have had. She will talk slowly and repeat things till they get stuck in your head. I am surprised that people fail her class. I have not opened the book and am receiving a good grade. Just pay attention . Do not be an idiot and fool around and you should get a great mark.

Alright so listen up, Connie a very on sense teacher. She doesn't like slackers and she highly respects great work so put in the time and effort. Attendance is mandatory! Class breakdown, M/T-30% (pretty easy), final-40% (tough), online HW-9%, online "lectures"- 1%+bonuses, 20% quizzes. Accounting is easy but it's tough... Loved Connie.

Listen carefully. Lotta good one-liners. Up front work, but prepared for tests so less test study time. Excellent prof. I dreaded taking accounting, but turned out great.

Connie is the best teacher you can get if you are anxious about accounting at all. She's a fair grader & is very detailed with teaching the material. Despite not loving accounting, I love her class! She has a unique teaching style & she honestly cares about each student. You really should take her class! I only wish she taught all of my classes!

VERY good accounting teacher. Sets you up for success and will be there for any questions you may have. Gives a lot of quizzes and midterm and final aren't the easiest but she will help you a lot.

Definitely recommend her. Hilarious, talk and act based on real life not just from the textbook. Expect to do all her homeworks! As long as you listen to her in class and do all your homework, you good to go.

Not an easy course, but she is fair and makes it easier to understand. She is straight up with what is required to do well in the class and if you put in the time you will succeed.

The best instructor I've had so far. She's reasonable and really cares about the development of everyone. Not only did I learn a lot about accounting but she threw in a few life skill lessons as well(very helpful). Her classes are very engaging and you won't have to study for exams as long as you do the homework, quizzes and pay attention in class.

Basically, if you want to learn lots of things, conneil probably is a good teacher. However, if u want to pass this course easily, this teacher is not pretty easy to pass. In her course, besides of online quiz, test, you also need to finish the Flextext, a book listing exercises of each chapter. Some teacher don't need to finish Flextext.

Connie is the best teacher ever. She is an amazing instructor, and she explains everything in detail. Even in online classes, she did it well. Her tests are pretty similar to her quizzes. She is strict; however, she is fair. If you want to learn accounting, you should choose Connie as a teacher.

She may seem strict but she really does mean well. Sometimes we all need that extra push to be a better version of ourselves. Just keep up with the course schedule, make sure to listen & follow what she assigns in class. Overall, she is nice and marks fairly. If you don't listen and slack in your hw, you'll receive what you deserve.

Connie is a great professor. She expects you to be engaged and prepared in advance for class. Readings are to be done before the class and has weekly homework assignments from the textbook to keep you on track. She is particular about due dates and the way the assignment is submitted. Overall, a challenging professor but worth it!
