Very understanding
Super easy class- extra credit- great teacher,
She's the best history teacher I've ever had.
A super easy teacher
she is so helpful. a lot of extra credits
She was awesome. Her lectures were very interesting and she motivated me to pursue a women's studies major. Her tests were not that difficult and the amount of work in the class was doable.
Loved her. She was very helpful and motivational. Gives Extra Credit. Easy assignments and gives you the questions before the tests for the essay questions.
If you are bad at history or don't like history take this class!! Also she is the swim coach so if you are on sports she helps you alot.
great taecher sets high but achievable expectations for her students, gives out essay questions before each test but requires complete and consice answersin a well formated form to get best grades SHE ROCKS?
Really liked her class. She taught me alot.
Easy and nice. A little effort will get you at least a B
great teacher, very helpfull, very nice, great sense of humor, highly recommend
great teacher, great sense of humor, lectures are fun, tests arent hard, highly recomend for a history class
Excellent teacher. She brings in great visual aids. Make sure to do all of the assignments, because they make up a bulk of the grade. Tests aren't too bad. Very interesting class, and highly recommend this teacher.
Mrs. Tripp has the greatest and most enthusiastic personality of any of the teachers on campus and is so willing to help her students. I took her class during my Junior year at valencia and she helped me not to be sooo overwhelmed with taking a college course. She's truly a wonderful professor as we
Honestly, she's got a great personality, very enthusiastic and friendly. Somehow, she makes me feel very cozy and homelike. I actually took her for my aqua aerobics class and now plan to take her for History. You will like her guaranteed, she's always in a good mood.
Very easy grader. Very enthusiatic. Very clear on the material. Fun class.
her class is chill.. she's a really nice professor who is always in a cheerful mood.. the class is also very interesting, esp. with all the examples that she brings.. overall, she's a very good teacher..work is easy, but make sure u study for exams.
Study the material. get physically fit. Wonderful teacher. worries about her hair getting messed up.
Good teacher-easy class-do the work-and you will pass
she didnt fail me when she found out i plagerized a paper in her class, just gave me a warning. she was such a ****. but hay, whatever floats your boat. learned a lot.
This teacher was really really nice and helpful, she was very funny and made her class interesting. I honestly recommend people to take her if you need this course. She's not hard at all and shes very understanding.
Mrs. Tripp is very good at what she teaches. I hate hist and i got an A. She's very sweet and gives you an exact outline of the test for you to study. Very easy to follow.
Nice person, kinda weird.
She was great and made learning history interesting and fun!
Connie is a Trip!!! She's a wonderful teacher and makes her class very enjoyable! Highly reccommend! I've never had a Professor e-mail my grade so fast before! She's very thoughtful and patient! Two thumbs way, way up!!!! Makes every class cheerful! Wacky and funny!
Connie Tripp is really great, i would definitely recommend her. She is really nice, gives extra credit, and will sometimes bump you up to the next grade if you are close enough and a good student. I would not say it was the easiest class i ever took but i did get an A.
Connie is still the best!!!
Connie is a great teacher. I would definitely recomend taking her. Gives help if you just email her and ask. Not an easy class, but not completely hard either...
She is very energetic and she's a very warm and knowledgeable person. It's hard to understand the structure of her class at first, but then you get the hang of it. Take her!
Very nice teacher would reccomend her to anyone, makes class intresting. I learnd a lot from her.
Very helpful teacher if you need help all you have to do is ask. She wants everybody to succeed, but doing the extra credit doesn't hurt. Highly suggest taking this teacher for either "Women's History" or "California History".
Very knowledgable. Makes her class entertaining and gets students in envolved. Hard to not get an A or B unless you don't do her assignments which are very simple. Study for her tests and you'll be fine. She's such a sweet teacher and will clarify anything you don't understand. Defintely take her.
shes so energetic and so passionate about the whole class its great! i love when she would bring pictures and little artifacts it really helped me remember a lot!
Judgemental. Hard to follow. Picks favorites.
LOVE THIS TEACHER!!!!! So caring about her job and the students!!
SHES AWESOME!!!!!!!!1
My favorite teacher! I would have work from 5am to 9am and go to this class right after and the lectures were interesting enough for me to stay awake! If you try, you will get an A. She brings in visual aids all the time. CONNIE ROCKS.
shes so nice!
i took her for women's history. she is a really nice teacher. if you talk in class though she will kick you out. she would lecture the whole class period..i would get off track at times because of the topics but it was pretty easy. STUDY for the tests, they are hard if you didn't pay attention or didn't go to class.
she is a great teacher. you definately have to go to class and do the work and study for the tests. i made that mistake, i tried to wing it and it didnt work! she is a really great teacher though. she will help those who try to help themselves!!
I hated history before, and I still hate it now. But if you have to take US Hist, this class/prof is a great choice. She tries to make it fun & interesting, and if you put the effort in, it's not too hard. Do the extra credit and you can get an A. Good professor!
She is great! If you do assignments (which are super easy) shes impressed. tests aren't that hard. you can get away with a B+ and barely even try. shes so nice!
She gives you plenty of time to do assignments and extra credit... her tests are mostly essay...if you attend her class and do the work you should have no problem. She is very nice, helpful, and interesting to listen to!
Connie Tripp is a wonderful teacher. She will help you and make herself available if you have any special needs or situations. She is funny and has a great since of humor.
I loved her class. Each quiz was easy. The test is pretty much just an easy w/ 10 mult. choice questions and short responses. Very easy class. I would recommend it to anyone!!
She's a great and fun instructor and very supportive as well
Best teacher ever! She is so cute and thoughtful. She's so clear and makes it so interesting. Study her notes because she gives you essay questions prior to exams. 8 quizzes, 3 tests, few written reports. Just take her!
LOVE her, she's awesome. She dresses up in the cutest themed outfits. Bakes cookies on test days GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS TO THE TESTS. only 8 assignments. extra credit. what else do you need in a teacher? she is the best
Amazing class. Professor Tripp dresses up in outfits relating to the topic of discussion. Pretty simple and fun class. You will learn ALOT! you will appreciate her as a teacher, she knows her stuff!!! highly recommended!!! A++++++
Professor Tripp was a blast - she made class fun, her lectures seemed a lot like storytelling to me. Take good notes, do the small amount of homework, listen for what she emphasizes in the lectures and you're golden.
she is a great teacher. i got an A in her class. she is a very easy grader. her class was based on 8 voices( page anyasis on an article), 2 or 3 essays, personal interview and test which she gives you the answers to. i know it sounds like alot of work but it was an easy going class
LOVED her Women's History class!! She made History come alive!! I plan on taking another class of her's soon! :D
Tripp is awesome! If you stay aware, take good notes, and when you feel confused go ask for help. She loves helping out of the side and I promise you after getting help your text will be 100 times better.
VERY NICE TEACHER
Great teacher. She loves what she is doing and when you see her passion for teaching it motivates you. Her energy is contagious and she's a great storyteller. This is one of those classes where if you do all the work given, you are guaranteed at least a C. If you strive for the best a B or an A is not that hard to attain.
She is the sweetest person ever. She pretty much gives you all of the questions that are going to be on the tests, and gives you extra credit opportunities too. The lectures were sometimes a bit boring, but its history, so of course its not going to be super exciting! Overall, the class was extremely easy and if you do the work, youll be fine!!
She is the sweetest and most helpful teacher I have ever had. She feeds you the material so clearly and easily. Take good notes and participate in class, she adores that because she is the kind of teacher who likes getting her students involved in her lecture. She helpful and organized, makes for a great learning experience.
Prof Tripp is wonderful! Such a sweet & smart woman! She loves what she teaches & you will learn a lot from her. I took her Women in History course & I was so intrigued by her teachings! Make sure to pay attention, do all the assignments, study for the tests/quizzes & take advantage of extra credit, then you'll be guaranteed to pass :)
Great teacher... Don't like history but she makes it fun...and she dresses in character...she is SUPER SWEET and extremely helpful...take her she's great!!!
She is by far the best history teacher I have ever had! I highly recommend her , when she teaches a moment in history it feels like your actually there experiencing what is happening :D
I took her for Role of Woman and History of California, if I could take her for every class I would. She is beyond helpful and the nicest person ever. There is work, but it is easy. She is so passionate and makes me enjoy History more.
Excellent teacher! By far one of the best ie had at COC so far. She is so funny and so sweet. She makes everything so clear and easy to understand. The work is super easy, and you should pass with no problem as long as you do the work and study for the tests.
Awesome teacher!!! She is really nice and truly loves what she does. She will even come to class dressed in costume for certain time periods just so students will be more interested and really learn. Her assignments are super easy plus she gives the material a week before hand that will be exactly on the exam so it is pretty hard to not pass.
Take her History 120 class. Yes, there are a lot of assignments and the tests are all essays, but shes an easy grader. She bakes cookies for the class on test day! So sweet. I love her, hope I can take another of her classes soon. ATTENDANCE MANDATORY.
Professor Tripp is the best! Love her!
Professor Tripp is an amazing instructor! She is knowledgeable, sweet, and genuinely cares about her students. If you are into history, then this is the class for you! If not, then I wouldn't suggest taking her class. She does bake some really good cookies on test days though!
The class is very easy as long as you show up and simply follow the syllabus, there is several essays and writing assignments, lots of opportunity for extra credit and an A is very possible, with a little bit of studying and effort. The class is a bit boring straight lecture the entire time off a fragmented powerpoint slide. bring coffee/redbull.
Was an awesome teacher I loved her! She makes class really interesting and makes u want to learn! Easy a class and she helps students out a lot! Sweet teacher! I'm totally taking her CALIFORNIA history class sometime! ??
Very sweet professor! I took her for History 120 and yes, there were a lot of assignments but the cool thing is that there is a due date and you can do them at your own pace. Exams are in class essays but as long as you give 100% effort you should be fine. started with a D and got an A!
quizzes are easy if you pay attention and study a little. Test are 10 multi and an essay but if you are willing to work a little and care you can definitely pass. there are 2 real paper that ARE SO EASY!! and then short essay on stuff we learned in class which are also easy!! just stay ahead on the game in this class and u are fie
Awesome! She is so passionate about this subject and make sure that her students understand and learn. You need to work hard and do all the assignments and attend the class. You should not have any problems with tests if you study her test review. Her lecture is really fun especially when she bring materials that are relevant to the lectures.
History's always been my worst subject, but this was by far my favorite class. She is so nice, funny, and helpful. This class is extremely easy and you can work at your own pace. She pretty much gives you the answers to the exams, so it's almost impossible not to pass, so pay attention! Also, she bakes great cookies on test days.
She is fully dedicated to her students learning the material, and even went on to express herself with costumes every now and then. Her exams are primarily multiple choice, which I'm not a fan of, since they test memorization ability not comprehension. Other than that, highly recommend.
First off ignore the chili pepper as it was probably form 30 years ago. The classes are very boring and after the first test I realized I didn't even need to take notes. She hands the answers to you on a platter through her study guide. So paying attention in class is optional. Do all the wok get B's on the tests and you'll get an A in the class.
No need to come to class unless you're an activist on feminism. Do your voices early on to get them over with. Little use of the book. Exams are easy if you look over the reviews she hands out. A lot of room for extra credit if needed.
She is very energetic and knows what she is talking about! She always gives you exam questions beforehand, she even reviews every question in detail and prepares you for essay exam. She makes you do voices, which is like a one page summary on a historical document. Not much homework. Reading helps. She's sarcastic when u ask her for help
Professor Tripp is the cutest old woman I have ever met. The class is SUPER easy. You don't really have to pay attention that much to pass. Adding the fact that she is an amazingly nice woman, this class is great. She would bring our class cookies on the days of our exams.
She's an amazing teacher! You have chances of doing extra credit and she even dresses in costumes for the class to make it more interesting. Easy grader and made history super interesting and not boring at all!
Such a great teacher. Shes one of those cute old ladies that dont know how to use technology but she is extremely nice. Homework takes only 10min, and you do it on your own time. As for her tests, she hands out all the answers before the exams and grades pretty easy. Also, there are cookies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is a great teacher an tells you exactly what you need to do to pass the class. As long as you do the work she assigns you'll pass. She gives you a list of all the work for the whole semester at the beginning. She also bakes cookies for test days!
Professor Tripp really puts herself into her class and on occasion will dress the part of the history period she is covering. Her lectures go a little fast because there was a lot of material to cover, but she gives a daily outline of the material lectured on. Lots of work in the class, but she gives great feedback and spaces out the assignments.
Connie Tripp is a COC treasure. She dresses up in era inspired clothing when she covers a specific woman or time in history. She's passionate about the content and a fair grader. I would highly recommend to any and all.
I recommend you take her class! It's very fun and she's great! There are three exams, a few papers, and 8 "Outlines" plus she gives extra credit! (15 points max of e.c.)
She brings the past to life through entertaining and masterfully sculpted stories that bring history to life. Class flies by. The textbook is a must, very interesting, and reads fast. Assignments are clearly defined and work is reasonable. Take her class!
Its history, nothing in life is easy. I am a big procrastinator and bad at homework. Even though there is a lot of homework, she make it easy. I REALLY LEARN things that matter for my life and as a human being FOR THE WAY SHE TEACHES. There is a lot of extra credit and the quizes usually are easy. Juts do the work, is not hard. She works hard 4u !
AMAZING lecturers. I truly enjoyed my time in class, and as long as you show up and enjoy yourself it's impossible not to get a good grade. Her tests and quizzes are based on what you learn in lectures, her lectures are fun and full of videos. Great professor, wonderful class, highly recommend.
Tripp is an amazing prof! She comes to work dressed in the clothing of the time period. She loves what she is talking about and will answer any question you have. Her office hours are very clear she answers emails quickly and is always there to help in any way she can. She gives the answers for any test right before you take it.
Professor Tripp is my favorite professor that I have ever had in all of my semesters as COC. She is very passionate about the material & cares about her students, so I always looked forward to going to her classes. She made the class very easy if you just paid attention. She was always available in office hours or email to help when you needed it!
Asks that you read the book, but I don't think I ever actually touched it, and I passed with a B (mostly b/c of a few too many absences). Offers extra credit, literally gives you the exam questions, and is quick to reply to emails if you missed a class or have any questions. Definitely the best teacher I've had at COC and would absolutely recommend
