favorite professor I've taken at wsu. labs are easy and fun. Dr helmick makes lectures interesting and is there for her students. however, she doesn't post her lectures, so attendance is a must. Wright down everything she says, personal stories may be extra credit on the exam.

Literally the hardest class I have ever taken at WSU. She does not post PowerPoints so you have to go to class and take extensive notes. For exams, you absolutely have to get old exams from friends and even then, she takes off points for every single detail. The labs are extremely helpful for your grade but overall, find a different professor!!!

I learned more in this class than any other class ive taken at WSU. Show up to class and you will be successful. Take notes. Its not that hard but you should take notes and study. The material is actually very interesting and dr. helmick is very understanding and easy to reach if need be.

A really informational class. If you actually try and study then it isn't that hard. The lab is really fun, I just wish we could have done it in person.

This class actually has pretty interesting topics. Too bad her teaching style/grading system completely ruins your experience. Her exams are incredibly harsh and heavily weighted for what? She expects too much, in so little time. She needs to lower her expectations for a 101 class. Try to avoid her class if you can, and save your GPA. Goodluck.

Honestly, she is the worst professor I have ever had. She takes pride in making the 101 course extremely difficult, does't post the notes on canvas, BUT says that the exam all lecture material. She acts like we're stupid if we ask questions. Very disappointing someone like this represents WSU.

Do not take this class. Find another option, even if you have to switch campuses. Your GPA will drop, I promise. Class only includes tests, and grading criteria are entirely at her discretion. Everyone fails the course - which she wants. At the end of the semester, she will encourage everyone to withdraw so that she can continue earning money.

Amazing professor, very knowledgeable. Does not use pwrpoints. Projects handwritten bullet points, expands on each. Little hmwrk, txtbk readings are supplementary; exam material is from lecture only. I stopped reading the text, focused on lectures. Lecture material not posted. Friendly. Encourages to email w questions, esp the wknd before a test.

Absolutely the worst professor I've ever had. She only provided recorded lectures, no study guides, quizzes, or practice tests. I later found out that she used another professor's powerpoints and did voice over recordings. She was not supportive at all and refused to provide approved accommodations (provide powerpoint slides). Waste of tuition $.
