lecture is a waste of your time- so boring and actually more confusing than just reading the book and going to your lab- she is so sweet though!

Great teacher. she let's you have a full page front and back for every test of anything you want to put on it. very helpful for remembering info. i got an A and i'm not even good at math!

She's really sweet and nice...but when it comes to teaching, she just rambles on about who knows what. It's been an easy class so far, labs are good, they'll teach you everything you need to know. She lets you have a page back and forth of your own notes

Easy course. Attendance is mandatory at the labs, but they are easy too. You can use a full sheet of paper front and back with notes for the tests. If you understand everything by going to class and labs, do NOT waste your time or $ on the book.

Really easy class as long as you keep up with her. We could use our coursepacks (well certain pages) and the book on our test. Not bad at all, especially for the late afternoon/early evening types.

She is overall pretty nice but very boring. She gets snappy sometimes when she gets mad, but you will probably be asleep while she is yelling, so its not big deal. Labs are helpful if you go to them. Pretty easy class

The class is really easy, you pretty much only need to go to labs. She is a nice lady, but a little ditzy. I would recommend her though.

She is a great teacher. It's a hard subject but she explains it very well. If you go to the lecture then you will get an A. But you dont really need to the the lab explains everything.

She is pretty clear in the lecture..but be careful as to who your LAB teacher is. Mine was a foreign grad. student and nobody could understand her. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...GO TO LABS!!! Do what you will with the lectures..but the LABS are important.

I second the 12/1/03 comment.A lab teacher that is hard to understand (foreign lab instructor) can hurt your grade.

The lecture is awful ..Dont go! Go to the labs and read the book and you will definitely get an A. Make sure your lab teacher is good. Mine was awesome. The teacher sucks but you get cheat sheets for the tests! Not a bad class overall!

I thought she was good. She explains the material so you can actually understand it, then lets you use 2 pages of notes on each test. Guys, she wants you to do well just go to class and the labs (labs attendance counts toward grade.)

I didn't go to lectures because after listening to her for two days i wanted to shoot myself. she is a great teacher, she just goes off and tells irvelevant stories every ten minnutes. She is helpful though. Class notes and her test reveiws are online.

Lectures are very boring and she tends to repeat herself, but you don't really have to go to them. Go to the labs and (if you get a TA who speaks English) everything will be explained there.

Very smart woman. The lectures are VERY boring, but if you go then you can prob. make an A. Have to go to the labs, it's essential for the grade, and the TA's are WONDERFUL at explaining mat. She talks about irrelevant things, to try to make class inter.

The class was better than I expected. Tests were open book with 2 pages of your own notes to use. You get all the class notes in a pack, no quizzes, so you don't even need to go to class. She does laugh at her own jokes and gets off the subject, but overall, easy class.

Pretty good teacher. She gives clear lectures and provides a notes packet. Then the tests are over similar problems and she lets students use the book and two pages of notes. Easy class. I recommend her.

go to class (at least every other time), take notes, do homework until you understand the problems well, and you're set. She curves like crazy and emails you the notes so all you have to do is print them out and fill in the examples. Great teacher, doesn't take crap from anyone.

Her tests are very short so usually people don't do too well because each question is worth a lot. I think that is why so many people gave bad ratings for this professor. I actually had her once, and chose to have her again. She is willing to help you out if you need it, but class is a lil boring.

she is a nice teacher but is extremely boring. 40 out of the 50 minutes of class she is talking about something completely random. Tells everyone that if you do not study or do the homework you will "crash and burn" on the tests but make a good cheat sheet (you get 8 x 11 f and b)and you'll be fine

Very easy class. lecture was very boring make sure and go to labs though...they really help. Final exam optional. I only went to class once a week if at all and got an A for the semester.

She made statistics somewhat interesting. She is by far one of the easist stat teachers at UCF. Believe me this was my third time taking the class and I finaly passed. Take her if you can and stay away from Mr. Schott but I do hear that Mrs. Schott is easy as well.

Recommended. The lectures are important for people who are entirely new to the topic, but otherwise if you have a good lab teacher and have a good grasp on the content, then its an easy A. I didn't have to take the final because I already had an A and she drops some of the lowest grades too.

Ok so she does get off the topic from time to time, but she gets the lecture finished. She even emails the class test notes. I hate Math classes, but she was pretty manageable. Take her in the Summer if you can!

If you take this class you are going to end up doing some work, but the class itself isn't hard. Just make sure you go from the very beginning so you don't end up trying to bring up bad grades on the first couple tests which are easier, by doing well on the later tests which are much harder.

Wow, I am so surprised by these ratings! This class is the easiest math class I've ever had- and I did HORRIBLY in college algebra! I have an A in Statistics. Mrs. Cutchins is really nice, though she does ramble. Her ramblings are just an attempt to get through to us, though, so its with good intention. Definitely suggest her class!

First 2 tests are basic info and definitions. Last 2 are more math-related. I did much better on the last 2. Labs are very helpful and great grade booster. Takes best 4/5 test scores and drops 2 low lab grades. Good teacher (kinda weird though) and not a bad class.

Great teacher. Tests are straigt-foward from examples in class. Does not deliberatly set traps in the tests.

I never went to class and I only attended the lab because it was required. I learned everything from the lab, and got A's on all the tests. The material got confusing for a few people, but it wasn't really that difficult if you ask me.

She gets off topic a lot. Most lectures are pointless but sometimes does examples that are on tests. So make sure if you miss get notes from someone. Tests are pretty easy though sometimes tricky if you don't have notes from lecture. Lab is vital! I learned almost all from lab. Pretty easy class if u keep up.

Ok, if you want an A, you can get it no problem with her. I have gotten 100's on the tests. She lets you bring a cheat sheet to the tests and covers hardly any material. SHE IS THE ONE TO TAKE FOR THIS CLASS, if you don't take her, I feel bad for you.

come to class every day armed with red bull. you'll need it - otherwise, you'll fall asleep. the material itself is not difficult

She's not bad. She sometimes goes off on tangents, usually about her previous boyfriends and husbands, but she's really good at going over the same problems that will show up on the test. She's good at going through each step so you really see how to do the problems correctly.

She is an extremely easy teacher. HEr lectures are really boring, so you really don't need to go. Don't buy the big book. It's a waste. Go to the labs, and extra help if you need, and you should make an A. She allows cheat sheets on all exams. After the first exam, I only went when we had exams, and got an A. Take the final. Extremely easy!

I think she is really good. She goes over things many times which can be boring if you understand them, but really good if you're confused. I am doing much better in the class than I thought I would and its a summer session so we're moving way faster than usual. I would recommend her to anyone as long as youre willing to pay attention in class.

I'm really usually horrible at math, and I was dreading statistics!! I've got her for the summer term and i'm doing great, easy to understand, straighforward tests, and the cheat sheet really helps! Take this class!!!

So glad I read this Prof. ratings on this website before taking anyone else this Summer C session. Dr. Cutchins was great at explaining material and her course notes/test notes were exactly what the tests were over. Didn't have to take the final cuz I already had an A...nice perk! Taking the final can only help/not hurt your average. Take her!

very easy A as long as you got to class and do some homework, I didnt need the book. Teacher is a little off though but she is very nice

Beside the fact that Professor Cutchins can have a short temper (esp. w/ reguard to talking during lecture) she is very nice and informative. She explains things more than once so it is impossible to get lost during lecture. Her exams are not bad and she allows formula/review sheets on her tests. Easy A if you go to lecture/Lab. Never used the book

Class was so easy, I got a solid B with out going to lecture and hardly showed up to the lab. Lab attendence is actually 1/5 of the grade so I would suggest you go. Had I gone I would have easly gotten an A+. Don't buy the book and her lecture is boring but if you want an easy A just show up to the lab and the tests.

SOO EASY! I hate math and always have and this class was so simple. You dont even have to calculate the answers, as long as you put them in formulas you are good. I would not reccomend any other teacher if you have to take stats take her!

don't bother going to class... all she does is babble, she doesn't check homework or attendence, but do the homework for practice for the tests because she uses the same questions with different numbers

i didnt ever get to know her, but the class was really easy. make sure you take her for statistics. interesting class i never thought i would find statistics interesting.

She is a nice lady and means well, but not a very good teacher. If you go to all the labs then you will still get an A, but dont need to go to her lectures. She often gets off topic ans waists your time. If you are ust lookin to get through gen-ed then dont take her.

Great prof, very clear to lectures. Yeah yeah you have to go to class so you can learn but isnt that the point of college? Discussions are very helpful. I didnt even have to do the hw on the side because going to lecture plus discussion made it all clear.

This teacher talks A LOT!!! boring and no need to attend classes. GO TO THE LAB!! you dont need the book unless she tells you by email that you failed a test and have to do homework.

Really nice lady but needs some polishing on teaching style. Knowledgable about what she is talking about but gets off track. You don't have to do the homework unless you fail a test which is hard to do. Summer sessions didn't have lab so I don't know what to tell you... you had to go to class in order to learn anything for the tests. Good Luck.

I know it sounds cliche to say but simply study, do the homework, and literally focus on the study guides she gives for tests and you should do great. Oh yeah go to class. She allows you to use a formula sheet. :)

I don't know what everyone else is talking about but this was one of the easiest classes i've ever taken. Yes she may go off on little tangents here and there but when she does teach she is very clear and thorough. Do attend the labs though they help out a lot and you get to drop your lowest test grade or your 3 lowest lab grades.

The classes, which are not mandatory, really help for learning the material on the test and in labs (mandatory). I think going to class really helped, despite the tangents and constant interruptions from people talking during lectures. I would recommend this class to anyone seeing as it wasn't very difficult. Also, you don't need to buy the book.

She is a professor who wants to see you do good. It is up to you to come to class nd get the information. She even suggests tutors if needed. Great teacher, if she does goes off topic it is normally something funny and relaxes you from nasty stats!

LISTEN. Took her for summer- no HW, no lab. Daily quizzes which were 5 pts each and made up 50 (out of 450) of our total grade. Quizzes are super easy- often she just gives credit for attendance. As for the tests? 4 tests make up your grade (best 4 out of 5 if you want to take the final). I got a 100% on 2 of the tests. She gives you notes, and the

Cheat sheets allowed for exams, and notes for the 5 point quizzes. she is funny and wants you to succeed.

Had her for statistics. she is resonable. Do the HW and study guides and you'll be fine. She does ramble a bit. Just be patient she will get to the point eventually!

Homework is not turned in. All you really do is go over the print outs from the class website. You get to use a cheat sheet for the tests.Labs are madatory. I had Chun He. She was nice and really cares. I don't even care about statistics but got through it very easy.

I didn't have a problem with this class. But you have to Go and make sure you understand the material. If you don't understand it you will do terrible. There are TAs to help too. It's not the most interesting class, but it's definitely not the worst.

This class is SOOOOOO easy. She lets you use a page of notes front and back on every test so if you get a bad grade it's really your own fault. Also the TAs for the lab are amazing, don't worry if you are confused in class because they will clear up all the confusion in the lab. Great professor, very nice but don't talk in her class!

Very good class! I was nervous when I first enrolled by she teaches in a very organized manner and the labs will help clarify anything you get confused over. Tests are easy, there are four and an optional final. You are allowed a page of notes as well as the page of tables which you can also write on. Highly recommend her!

Even though she goes off on a tangent once in a while, she knows what she's talking about. Try not to talk during class, it irritates her. Go to class, the notes she gives helps out a lot for tests. Go to lab, they help out a lot as well.

The class consists of 4 test and an optional final. there are 13 labs which count as 20% of your grade (GO TO THESE! more helpful than the actual class). Overall the teacher is okay, tends to ramble on and on about things. the optional final can be used to drop one of your lower test scores. I am a psych major and I got a B, so just do the work.

Before I started taking her class I had some concerns about Stats in general but my worries we long gone once I took her class she is very nice and teaches the class well. Her tests are quite simple and you should have no problem getting at least a B+. She tends to ramble sometimes but she always talks about how stats can relate to the real world.
