She is amazing, best teacher ever!

She is very nice. I like her personally! She can be unclear with what exactly she wants out of your speech. And if one little detail or word is out of place on you outline she wont let you present, so keep that in mind. Would recommend over all though!

Professor H was absolutely awesome and I would highly recommend her. Prepare and follow instructions and you will do well. I would love to take a class with her again. Passed with and A!

AWESOME TEACHER! If I could take her for another class I would even if I didn't need it! She only teaches speech though. She's awesome, loves to laugh and honestly doesn't take too much seriously. However, she's strict on what rules she has, and means business with assignments. but the assignments are super easy and you can do them on the spot!

BEST PROFESSOR IN THE WORLD!

Definately take this teacher. She is very patient and truly cares about you. She is straight up about what you need to do. Speeches are fun topics and she's layed back and funny.

<3 dr. h. ssc needs some higher-level speech classes so she can teach them & i can take them. dr. h is very well-read and very attentive to her students. much of the class grade is from in-class participation so you get a good grade just by showing up. all she asks is that you follow the guidelines for whatever the current speech project is.

One of the best teachers I have had the pleasure of sharing a class with from all the 8 different schools I have attended over the years. A great class for any major to take to polish your speaking skills.

She is not an easy professor!!! Prof Hudspeth means business! You have to do all your speeches & assignments on time, DONT SLACK. If you show up every class, take notes and do things on time you should be alright. I ended with a B int the course , but if I tried a little harder I could have easily gotten an A.

She gets u involved. You learn without realizing it. She is very motivating. I think she is a very nice, secure woman that could be a great mentor. She seems fair and upfront and she is approachable. Wish I could have her for more classes

I Love, Love, Love this professor, she is kind, caring and approachable. She makes learning so fun and easy and you will always remember the information she teaches. You even have fun presenting your speeches. I would recommend her class to everyone

Dr. Hudspeth took pride in making sure her students were achieving and working at the fullest potential. While she did not use the textbook very often, her knowledge on public speaking(which I despised before taking this class)and teaching styles will only set you up for success. I actually do not fear talking in large groups anymore.

My favorite class ever.I hated speaking in front of a class and now I just do it.I really don't know how she does it but it works.Never did I feel overwhelmed in her class.Loved the volunteer project and had fun doing the cultural project. ALL FUN CLASS.And I miss that fun, laughs, and getting to know others on a personal level.

Dr. Hudspeth is a fabulous teacher. She genuinely cares about her students and only wants you to succeed. I was terrified of speaking in front of people and feel confident when doing so now. She uses helpful strategies to remember things for tests. I highly recommend this professor.

Dr. Hudspeth has a passion for Communication. She is Great! I enjoyed this class and blossomed with my delivery abilities. The two things that bother her would be talking while others are speakingpresenting and having your cell phone andor electronic device out. This is a easy A!

She is a great person in general. Her class was fun and easy to get through. The speeches weren't too difficult and she grades fairly. Very clear on what she wants and gives you great study guides for the exams. I would take her again if needed.

Professor H was the best teacher I've had at SSC. She is so funny and she does everything she can to help you pass her class. I wish she taught all the AA classes. She is an easy A as long as you take notes, do not miss the day of your speech, and you follow the criteria for your speeches. I would take her again!!

Mrs Hudspeth is a great teacher! If you show up to class and do your work and fallow her guidelines for work you will pass! Participate and respect her! Test questions are more tricky than expected but if you fallow all of the guidelines for every speech and study her test reviews well, you'll be good! Ask questions if you don't understand! :)

SHE IS VERY GENUINE IN WHAT SHE DOES AND KNOWS HER STUFF, SHOW UP TO CLASS AND FOLLOW HER DIRECTIONS AND YOU WILL PASS WITH FLYING COLORS.

Dr. Hudspeth is a wonderful professor. I have no negative comments towards this instructor. She's not an easy grader, you have to work for your grade!!!

Great lectures, and serves that real life advice you'll use after school. Show up to EVERY class, follow the rubric EXACTLY for the speeches and you'll get an A. Midtermfinal were only tests and tricky, but she hands out a great review sheet and uses mnemonics, which are very helpful. NOT a pushover, but she'll help you if you're sincere.

Really good teacher and is very clear and helpful. However she can be very full of herself (often) but can also be funny at times. Overall I enjoyed the class. She messed up my grade but took a lot of her personal time in order to help me get it straightened out. If you do the work, you will pass.

I absolutely LOVED coming to her class. She was clear as to what to expect & really helped you succeed. Coming to class is definitely key or else you will fail. She gives you everything you need in order to pass with greats ways to remember key points from her lectures & reviews to assist. She was funny & a realist which i appreciated

I HATE public speaking so I figured I'd really struggle in this class. Professor Hudspeth is very pleasant but talks to her students like they are 8 years old. If you participate and follow the instructions for the speeches, you'll have an easy "A".

Hudspeth is VERY into group work and interacting. If you don't like this kind of thing, do not take her. She is a very sweet person. Do not actively use your phone in this class, she doesn't tolerate that. There is no relief in between speeches, it's one after the next. The speeches are very random, ranging from your favorites to cultures.

Amazing professor. Very easy class. Just make a speech within the time frame and you get credit. She literally spoon feeds you when it comes time for the exam. She will give you a study guide with all the answers. TAKE HER!!!

I was really nervous to take speech thinking it would be me standing in front of a podium 24/7 talking about politics. Dr. Hudspeth really made this an enjoyable class. She is such a kind person & she really sets you up for success. It is powerpoint based and if you follow the rubric you will ace them. She is easy going and funny. Love her!

Best teacher that I have had in college, engaging, challenging and made all of us enjoy learning. Fascinating lectures, and great speech examples. I loved the Service Learning and Culture Speech. Definitely take her, awesome!!!

Dr. Hudspeth is one of the greatest professors I have ever taken. Not only does she truly care about the success of her students, but she teaches in a way that keeps the entire class engaged. She is defiantly one of the main reasons I decided to be a Communications Major.

I love this teacher. Her class is very easy and she is enjoyable to be around. She gives many study aids to help with the test but you have to show up to class in order to get good grades.

Prof Hudspeth made this class fun. She's caring, helpful, and tried to get everyone to loosen up and enjoy this class as much as possible. She knows communication in and out.

I was so nervous about public speaking because I'm not outspoken, but Hudspeth made the class such a welcoming environment. She does not comment on your speech in front of everyone she does it in private. She truly loves her students and wants them to succeed. We used the textbook only once at the beginning of the semester.

What a phenomenal Professor! Honest, caring, and simply a joy to be taught by. Midterm and final exam count for just as much as the speeches so make sure you study as they are slightly difficult if you do not pay attention in class. Would take her again in a heartbeat.

She is simply AMAZING! Growing up, I've always had a hard time speaking in front of people because I had a low self esteem. She does an amazing job teaching and motivating people to be brave and get over their fears of public speaking. She creates an environment that is welcoming and fun and the perfect speech teacher.

Touch grader, but is inspirational and lectures are meaningful and relatable. Great analogies and connections to real-life situations from lectures. Leaves you thinking about the class after every session. Presentions have strict guidelines. Pushes you past speech anxiety.

I took oral communication as my one of my last classes for my degree. I was dreading this class for 2 years. This professor made it so easy and great any time I had questions. I took this online and during summer session A which was 6 weeks. We did 3 speeches that you take in front of 5 or more. She made it super easy.

Mrs hudspeth is the best speech teacher! She gives so many examples on how to create and how to present your speeches. The class is based off of 4 speeches but theyre fun and pretty easy! I highly recommend taking her class!

Great Professor. She was always willing to help and gave clear guidelines for the speeches and review for the exams. Great examples and really cares about all of us. We learned about different Cultures and did a Service Project speech. I wish I could have her teach all of my classes, she's awesome! Definitely take her!

This professor is the best. The only people who complain are the ones who don't do their work. Teacher is straight forward, tells you what you need to do to be successful. If you don't come to class, don't do your speeeches or study then you can't blame this teacher it's your fault. My friends and I did our work and we all did great. Loved her!

I took this class since it was the last one before my degree, whether you take it first or last be sure to pick professor Hudspeth's class, speaking in public or making a video of me doing so was never easy for me but she made it possible with good feedback and she pinpoints what you need to work on, do your homework and you will ace this class

Best Professor! Amazing! Clear assignments and speech examples. Best class, loved it! Follow the examples and turn in work. The only people in my class that didn't do well didn't turn in their assignments or plagiarized. She's really cool, great examples and fun speeches.

I took this class online and it was pleasant. There were few assignments and most were simple. Some of them are quite time-consuming though, but as long as you have time to contribute to this class you'll be fine. The professor gives chances for retakes and extra credit as well. The textbook is only needed a handful of times throughout the class.

Professor Hudspeth was a good pick for speech. There are only three speeches and a couple of assignments. I had an issue with my last speech, and I had to resubmit, but she ended up giving me a grade above the penalty. The rubric is clear, and she gives good feedback on assignments. Follow the instructions and guidelines and you'll be fine!
