Loved coming to this class. Pilkington was fun and made the material fun too. The exams are not that bad, but make sure you study for them a few days before the test and you can probably get an A with no problem. It is definitely one of the easier and more fun classes to take. Took in Fall 2006. Lectures were never boring and were easy to understand, but they were muddled thematically and often contained incorrect information. Never had an answer when asked a question. Very little of the class is drawn from the text; rely on lectures for exams. Exams were 100% multiple choice and were pretty easy.

Fun and easy class. First psych class I've taken & I loved it. She's funny and is very good at explaining. Really encourages questions. Only 3 tests the whole semester that are easy. You barely have to read textbook; all the info is in her lectures, so just pay attn and take notes. Very good class overall.

My favorite class this semester. Pilkington is very clear in her lectures, and as long as you pay attention and take notes you will pass the tests with flying colors. All 3 tests are non-cumulative. She keeps class interesting and interactive, even in large lectures. I would take another class with her.

Professor Pilkington's lectures were interesting, entertaining, and engaging. She made the material relevant to everyday life and always encouraged questions. She focused more on teaching the material than on testing it (meaning, if you attend class every day, take good notes, and study, the three non-cumulative exams will be a breeze).

Overall, a good class to take with Pilkington. Lectures were extremely straightforward (often funny, occasionally sleep-inducing), and grades were based on three non-cumulative multiple choice exams. These were never more difficult than showing up to class, taking good notes, and leaving adequate time for memorization. Known to end class early.

Good for GER. Lectures can be dry but Pilkington keeps them informative and interesting. There is a lot of material to know for each exam and some of the questions can be tricky, but ultimately if you go to class, take notes, read the parts of the books she specifies in the study guides, as well as participate in the Psych studies, you'll be fine.

Great class for a C200. Found this far more interesting than PSYC 201, although the format is the same: 3 noncumulative multiple choice exams. Show up and take notes, and it is an easy A-.
