Very easy class. Lots of homework, but if you complete it, you will be fine. Lots of memorizing formulas though. Have a good graphing calculator and you'll do great on the exams.
Very good teacher. I had her for Pre-Calc & Engineering Calc I, which were difficult classes. But, her teaching skills are so good that I ended up with A's in both courses. She gives you lots of chances to raise your grade.
she is a good teacher and she explains materials very well. i would take her for pre-cal and stat if i were you
Is a teacher more interested in finishing the book that you getting the concept. IF she would just slow down and teach and not rush through everything it would go better.
trust me, she really rush's thru everything. her main goal is to finsh going thru the info on her notpad. Take her at ur own risk
sher rushes through the material, and is not very helpful when answering questions. Her tests are trickey and include past material. I WOULD NOT TAKE HER AGAIN.
She is an excellent teacher for pre-calc...i have the easiest time passing her tests with 90's and above. Beware of her take home test though...it is made for u to fail. overall...she's very good.
easy class, she drops your lowest grade, making the A even easier. If you have at the end of the semester and average of 90 or above you do not have to take the final. I recommend this teacher there is no way to fail
WIlkerson is a woman who loves math and should be doing it in a lab somewhere, but she rushes through her class. You have to work to get a good grade and even then it is pretty tough. This was the first time I struggled with math. I am not going to take her again. If you decide to, Good Luck! Also watch out for the take home test, its a killer...
I have always hated math, and I have NEVER understood it. Honestly I think my highest grade in any math class (ever) was maybe a C-. Because of Mrs. Wilkerson's amazing teaching abilities, I passed college algebra with an A!! She is by far the BEST math teacher I have ever met. She wants you to pass. I encourage everyone to take one of her classes!
This woman knows how to teach and loves her work. She is great.
She is a wonderful teacher. i makes A's on her test but beware of the take home test. It is very hard. go to her office before you take a test and surely she will explain the material to you thats what i did and made an A.
She is the best math teacher that I'd ever had in SPC. She explains the materials well, is very fair, and is very helpful. I wish I had taken my college algebra, trig, and calc I, in her class. I highly recommend this teacher!!!!

The subject is very hard, therefore I recomend you to choose a very good teacher. Mrs Wikerson was very good, thanks god the fourth test was a take home, and the final was a project, without that I would make hardly a C. I recomend Cora Wikerson 100% percent. Prepare to study a lot and do a lot of homework, they are not mandatory, but they help.
She is a great teacher and really loves her math. She tends to speed through the chapters,so you better keep up with the homework(not counted toward grade, but doeschoose problems for ec.There are 5main test. She gives alot of e.c. so if you never miss a day, get atleast a C on 4 of the test.Youllyou do fine. She give creditfor showing work.I got an A
She is the coolest and BESTEST teacher!!!! Anyone who is good or not good at mathmatics should take her class. I highly recommend her!!!
I've had four math teachers so far. She was by far the best and even helps you learn your calculator functions. She is tough, but fair. You will learn good Algebra skills from her which you will definitely need in the advanced maths. I wish she was teaching the Calculus class I'm in. Very thorough.
NO NONSENSE TYPE. AVAILABLE FOR OUTSIDE CLASS HELP. TAKE HOME TEST IS A NIGHTMARE, MUCH MORE DIFFICULT THAN IN CLASS TESTS.
Once you show Mrs. Wilkerson that you are dedicated to doing well in her class she will help you in any way possible. I am terrible at math however, I was able to earn an A because she is helpful, consistant and clear. Make sure if you have trouble in math that you communicate your concerns with her. Great teacher!
wilkerson is the best math teacher besides peters. anyone who says she is hard must be really dumb when it comes to math. her tests are just like the homework.they are so easy as long as u do the homework. she is an excellent teacher. I would take her again and again...and again. I highly recommend u take this class!
Wilkerson is a great teacher, you NEED to do the homework. It's not hard and it helps you pass the tests (which is just like the homework). She is extremely helpful. No final exam, there is a project, but that's easy. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL teacher.
Best teacher after Peters. Very easy to understand and helps you a lot. If you do the homework and pay attention in class you should get an A. No final exam but an easy project to do. This is the teacher you need to take for stats or any other math!
Summer session is rushed, but she will help. Excellent teacher, explains concepts very well. She will also give points for assigned homework. Project @ end instead of ****m final. Great-having project because you can incorporate what you have learned!!!
I want to marry miss wilkerson! No other professors can even compare to her, she is too cool. Really straight forward tests along with homework assignments that are an easy 10 pts each.
She has a good teaching still but very borring. I still got through it even though I do not likke math.
She's a very nice lady but a little out of it. She's very intelligent but it was hard to learn when she didn't know where she was heading. Holds you until the last minute and her tests are harder than the homework (which only comes from the book). Wilkerson is willing to help outside of class though and she will try her best to assist you though.
Overall a good professor. She knows her stuff and by the end of the class you'll feel that you do too. That's the point of all this "college stuff" right? To learn? She's understanding, offers extra credit, and is always available for help outside of class. Highly recommend if you here to learn. An A is easily attainable if you put in the work
I was really dissapionted with these other people's comments. I took her thinking she would be an amazing teacher and she is horrible. Aside from being super boring, she doesnt know what she is doing. She does stuff the hard way and is always lost. We had a sub one day and he taught better than her... pretty sad
If you just pay attention to her lecture, and take good notes and do the homework, there is noway you will not make a good grade. She gives a good test review and the tests are really not that bad plus she gives partial credit. Anyone who thinks her tests are hard hasnt taken Emerson's Trig class during the summer...
Overall very good, she is pretty easy, the material was pretty hard. Her tests weren't harder than the homework if you do it. I really like math and have taken quite a few math classes, She is smart, interesting, and takes her time grading tests, awarding generous partial credit as long as you do part of the problem right. Taking her again!
If you dont do the homework your screwed. She doesnt cover certain things so if you dont do the homework and basically teach yourself you won't do good on the test. Its awesome how she messes up like 5 times when shes trying to teach you new material. Way to be confusing!!!!
I always do great in all my math classes and with her I struggled getting a B. I guess its because most teachers make their test based on what they actually TEACH you in class. Not on stuff from the homework that she has never gone over. Good luck! Especially if your major is pre med and you have other important classes your taking at the same time
Uses every section of the book 100%. Doesn't give a break to students but assigns the most difficult problems.
Mrs. Wilkerson is a very good teacher. She is not a particularly easy teacher because she actually expects you to learn everything. Her tests aren't too bad, and if you do and understand the homework you can't do poorly. She is very helpful if you ever have a question and will work with you as long as it takes. She is an excellent math teacher.
She is fairly easy. She really breaks the information down and make sure that you understand the material even some are obvious. Has a final project at the end of semester which tests your knowledge on statistics. I actually learned some pretty cool things.
Wilkerson is a nice lady; she knows how to teach, she's clear, and helpful. Nevertheless, if you really want to learn and know more about mathematics, she is not the one to ask to. Her exams are easy as are her quizzes. I took her for Calculus II.
Took her for the calc classes. Def. not always the easiest tests but do homework or see her in office and you should be fine. Really helpful and loves math(and the Yankees)
Great Teacher. I wouldn't consider myself good at math but i got an A in her Trig class and got to exempt her Final. Do homework and don't skip class or leave early, she hates that. Shes nice and kinda funny too :)
Wilkerson is a great teacher. She is very knowledgeable and extremely helpfull. She is willing to go out of her way to help you out. You can call, e-mail, or visit her office hours and she'll be able to answer any questions you have. I would highly recommend her for trig, and I would recommend you study study study. Especially the unit circle.
She cares about what people r doin rather than teaching but has good notes
Took for Calculus II and survived !!! She is a good teacher and gives you every chance in the world to get an A. graded quizzes for my class and had an extra credit assignment to help your grade.
She teaches higher classes not the lower classes, she stated that in the first couple of classes. During my class if someone got up to leave she would stop and wait and complain. If you are in a lower class like i was, then she talks and explains everything in terms that i did not understand and that a couple of my classmates did not know either.
she was really nice, and her class was easy to get through without doing almost any homework. she was very approachable, missed 2 weeks of class and still got an A+
It was a hard class to do and I was way out of practice as I relearned this stuff. she helped me out a lot outside of class.
Do not take her if you need clear instructions. The homework is WAY easier than her tests and she grades HARD. She's all over the place in class and makes no sense. She laughs at her own jokes, but no one gets them. She's rude and a Yankee fan. Don't wear a Redsox hat to class. She will also make you take off jewelry if it's too "distracting"
Sometimes doesn't explain what she worked in a problem, isn't very clear when explaining "and then you have this over here" "and then that". Expects too much from her students. Sometimes won't bother to go over homework problems when asked in class.
She is not clear on teaching the work. Gives you no review time in class. She may teach up to 3 sections a day. Must take final even if you have an A. Will not take ever again.
Very good teacher. homework is doable, tests were easier than the reviews in the book, she is very willing to help outside of class.
Do. Not. Take. Her. Simple as that. Very confusing. I learned better teaching myself from the book then I did from listening to her. She does offer lots of office hours, but it doesnt help when you have classes one after the other. Also, takes points off for using the restroom.
She is very hard. Makes you memorize all derivitives, integrals, and formulas. No note cards. Tests are much harder than homework. Cant use anything better than a ti84. Worst math teacher I have had.
She is very hard. Makes you memorize all derivitives, integrals, and formulas. No note cards. Tests are much harder than homework. Cant use anything better than a ti84. Worst math teacher I have had.
If you have to use the bathroom during class, you better hold it because she will yell at you if you ever leave her class. Don't talk while she is talking, even if you are asking for help from another student. She cannot focus. She loves to hear herself talk and can never get through a lesson on time. She is just rude.
Great teacher, very straightforward. Covers material well, very friendly. Grades fairly but some would say tough, you leave this class knowing the material.
She's more concerned with covering material than making sure the class understands before moving to new sections. If you are only taking one class or like to do Algebra homework 2-3 hours a day twice a week take this class. If you want to have a social life and spend time relaxing at home do not take her class you will be stressed out.

excellent teacher !!If you are lazy and don't want to do the homework she is not the teacher for you. Grades are all based on tests that are pretty difficult and go by the homework. Makes sure students know 100% of the material before she goes on to next chap. Does all the hard examples during lecture so its easier. best math teacher ive ever had
She's more concerned with covering material than making sure the class understands. She is very hard. Makes you memorize all derivitives, integrals, and formulas. Tests are much harder than homework. Worst math teacher I have had so far.
She tends to rush to cover the material, so I ended up teaching myself by the book. She offers a lot of help though. You can go to her office, ask her after class, or email any problems you have. There is no HW grade, only quizzes and tests, so do as much practice as possible. Her tests are pretty hard, so be sure to study and master the material.
The teacher was "ok".
I will say this about Mrs. Wilkerson. She is a very nice lady and explains very thoroughly about the lectures. The only problem with her is taking the tests. The tests are REALLY hard and her grading system is hard and takes a lot of points off for making a mistake on your work. My recommendation is STUDY HARD for this class.
Not very clear on what is going to be on tests, would have been more helpful if she would give test reviews. Her sheer lack of faith in our class made our tests easy, with plenty of available extra credit. Not very helpful, but i passed.
Mrs. Wilkerson was extremely helpful. If you keep up with the homework the test's are not too difficult. I have taken this class before with other teachers and she was by far the best I had. Offers many different times for office hours and will explain things that you "should" already know. Just keep up with the work and passing is easy.
I had Mrs. Wilkerson for Pre-Calc. Her teaching style was good but her tests are hard and you must study a lot. Available for additional help if needed during office hours.
She's very spazzy. Her lectures seem unorganized and it's often unclear the point she is trying to convey. She isn't "bad," but I wouldn't take her again. The tests are fair, there are no surprises, if you show up, do the material on your own time, you won't struggle. But I don't really feel like i'm getting all I possibly could be getting.
She's good with explaining and reviewing problems. Although, she makes use of the full 90 minutes, constantly teaching, which is kind of overkill for my attention span. Just REVIEW LESSONS and DO HOMEWORK or you'll fall behind. She has a thing against practice tests so you have to do a lot of her txtbook problems & mymathlab to do well on tests
She's all over the place, she knows what shes talking about but she can't tell it to you. Worst class ever.
If you are looking for an easy ride... don't take Calc II... with anyone. I have a high C in this 5 credit course. She is constantly reminding us of her office hours (to help us). Reminds us of things we should know (unit circle, etc). No brainer... I would take her again. Go into this class realizing that this is a high level 5 credit course.
Wilkerson is awesome! She makes calc 2 easier to understand. There's a ton of integration (which I love), so be sure you know all integration techniques, formulas, & algebra. Take detailed notes & pay attention in class. Her tests aren't too bad. They are based on the HW, so do enough problems until you really understand, & you should be fine.
She is tough but more than fair. She offers alot of help through her office hours. Excellent teacher overall.
This was definitely the hardest teacher I've ever taken. I love math and Mrs. Wilkerson actually made me regret my major. She has a good teaching style and does her best to make the material clear but wastes most of the class repeating herself. She does not give out practice tests nor does she grade homework and tests are extremely difficult.
Most challenging professor I've ever had. She's incredible gifted at knowing math but she isn't good at teaching it. She spends a lot of time repeating herself and then rushes through the lesson and constantly states that there isn't enough time to answer questions. She tells you she has office hours, but then has excuses for why shes unavailable
Cora Wilkerson is an amazing teacher!
She's a horrible teacher. She's an incredible human being. So sweet and caring but she just doesn't know how to teach. She doesn't know how to get her point across and will confuse you. She is a very tough grader. Tests are very difficult. No practice tests. Homework is very long. Quizzes also. If you need a lot of help with math, she's not the one
This is literally the only math class I've had that the material we go over in class is on the tests and quizzes! She made the material easy to understand with tooons of example problems, if you come to class every day and take notes you will do pretty well in the class! She also writes in depth responses on tests and homework so you can improve!
I'm a math major, yet I find myself struggling to maintain my grade in this course. She goes over the material too quickly and complains that it's because there's "not even time." Then, she expects us to do homework when we barely understood what's going on. There's a quiz every week and don't even get me started with how difficult her tests are.
Mrs. W is a great math teacher. I took her for Calc 1 w/ analytic geometry and she did not make homework mandatory but DO IT. her tests are exactly like the homework and you will need the practice. She loves it if you come in for office hours and she gives one extra credit assignment. She gives you as many points as she can on tests and quizzes.
This professor is terrible. She teaches the material way too fast. You ask her a question and she literally repeats herself and you end up still not understanding it. I wish I would of never enrolled in her class (summer course) I know for sure I'm going to fail this class.
I never struggled with math until I took this class. I did very well until test 3 came along. If you're taking more than just this class it makes it very difficult. Her tests and GRADED homework are nothing alike. Maybe if I was only taking this class and not working I'd have time to do the rest of the homework. Seriously hardest math class ever.
Not my preference.
Easy A and no way to not get A, as long as you go to class, do your homework & study for the tests. She gives test reviews & also gives partial credit on tests. She breaks every thing down so thats its easy to understand. Be aware for her lab, you must go to class bc she puts in a 0 for any days missed. Even if youre passing her regular class.
Dont take for the summer everything to fast. Use to love math until this class. Your basically teaching yourself. Takes forever to grade assignments. Rushes through everything, tests are difficulty gotta study, have to give this class all your focus
I took this class during the summer and had to drop it the day after the third test. She is nice and clear with grades but found this class difficult because your grade depends on being a good test taker. The Mymathlab HW was easy, the tests not so much. I studied and went to every class and didn't do good enough. Don't skip any classes!
Plenty of homework, both online (My Math Lab) and using the online textbook. Take it with the lab so you can get more practice time in. She explains things clearly and provides a few examples, but moves on if you don't speak up about confusion. 4 tests that are pretty difficult if you don't study, and a final that replaces your lowest test grade.
I know your ad visors might be saying "oh these are just students who are just failing who are saying bad things" which mine said before I took this class. Anyway she assigns MyMathLab as hw which is no problem and I do well on the HW which is worth nothing. The Test are 10x difficult than the HW and will kill your grade if you fail.
Math is a difficult subject for me, and Mrs. Wilkerson helped me understand it in a way that worked. There is a lot of homework, but it's worth it. The more math you do the better you understand it. Mrs. Wilkerson is very open and willing to help, so ask questions when you have them.
She knows math well, but doesnt teach it well. Shed walk around and ask if people needed help and when a student did need help, shed just ask where their notes were and to follow it rather than helping them through it. Always willing to help outside of class but you really end up just teaching yourself.
Dont. Just dont. She will not make your life any easier. Tests are difficult, her teaching style is confusing.
She's a nice lady but she will fail you. No matter how hard you work because her test doesn't even match the homework which is easy. She doesn't give study guides and she works so fast that even the people that normally get As in math classes that had this class with me failed. She is not a good math teacher. She always Late to class too.
I her last semester for MAT1033 she was an amazing professor while I had her I definitely want to take higher level math classes with her wish I choose her this semester her teaching is easily understood and if you engage the class should be very easy for you, she has tons of contact hours and she has a very effective teaching method.
Amazing professor. Very passionate about math and cares that you understand it. She is not an easy if you show up and try youll pass type of teacher. You definitely have to put in the work but she definitely gives you a great platform to go and do your homework/ quiz/ test. Also big positive for me that her test are not proctored only final is.
Held office hours almost every day of the week for extra help. Tests were very similar to the homework, and HW counted as 15% of grade, which is generous in my opinion for calc 2. My main problem with this professor was she made me feel uncomfortable and stupid when she randomly called on me every single class.
A good calc teacher she goes over even the small algebra and manipulations you need to use (some teachers just expect you to know), her tests were based on concepts of the info (ex. she didnt choose the ones with the worst algebra) so just understand the concepts and you'll pass. She does helpful examples in class. Def will take again
Professor Wilkerson is just your average math professor. She's not bad, but I wouldn't say she's super great either. You will be taking tons of notes and the tests are pretty hard. She does give partial credit though so that's a positive.
This Professor was great! She really helps you if you need it and will go through problems with you thoroughly. Her tests can be difficult but as long as you study and put the work in, you should be fine. Lectures are a lot so prepare to take notes. I really think she is an amazing math professor and most definitely recommend her!
I had to take this class over zoom this semester, but she made it very accesible for students. Has many office hours if you ever need help, but will not take laziness as an exuse. She uses an online curriculum for homework, tests, and quizzes.
Overall she is a easy to go Professor. She isn't a tough grader, gives partial credit. Her way of teaching is very different. I would say if you just focus in her class and take notes of whatever is done in her class, you don't even need to do anything at home.
She was fine. Seems a little all over the place though.
Best Professor I have taken at SPC. Calc 2 can be a hard class, but taking it at SPC with Prof Wilkerson made it beyond doable for someone who is not very smart such as myself. The class takes effort, but at no point in taking her class should you feel LOST. You might be stuck or confused, but you won't be lost! To get unlost, just practice
One of my favorite math professors. I took her for Calc 1 the prior semester. She makes the most daunting problems in calc 2 more manageable. Very willing to help you with problems if you need it, before I took her, my algebra skills were pretty average, with her shortcuts my algebra skills have greatly improved. Its a shame she doesnt teach calc 3
She was a good teacher but she was a little fast and too heavy on the homework and kinda boring. Other than that she does her job well and she does her best to make sure that every student is learning the content. I highly recommend showing up to class as much as possible because this course in general is not as easy as you think.
Show up to class unless you won't know what's going on. She isn't the worst teacher but I definitely wouldn't recommend because of her style of teaching.
Mrs. Wilkerson was an awesome professor that lectured very clearly and efficiently.
Wilkerson was a good lecturer and explained things well. However in the homework I would see things I had never seen before in class, which left me lost. Her test reviews were often not reflective of her tests so they sometimes felt like a waste of time. Final is multiple choice and not like the other tests. I had to work very hard for an A
Prof Wilkerson is one of best professors i've had for math. She fits in all her material during class which does make her talk a little fast, but thats ok. Be prepared to work very hard in this class. The tests are very hard, and usually reflects the textbook hmwk. You don't have to read the textbook, but do the problems she assigns. Final is hard.
Professor Wilkerson was an outstanding lecturer!
she is a good math professor and teaches it well but her lectures are extremely boring. I would struggle so much not to fall asleep in her class. Her tests are decently difficult and are big portions of your grade. Her hw on mymathlab is pretty easy however, 3 attempts per question. Attend her class and go to office hours if needed, they'll help
Professor Wilkerson is an amazing professor! It is very manageable to get an A in her courses, as long as you complete the assigned homework, optional textbook homework, and attend her lectures, since they will prepare you really well for each test. Overall, the way her course is set up is very easy to follow as long as you work hard.
Best Prof of all time. Love Prof. Wilkerson. I took precalc and trig with her, and got 100% in both classes. Take her.
Professor Wilkerson was a sweet and understanding individual when you talked to her about anything. She does give test and they are all fill in the blanks, however, she will give you credit even if the answer isn't fully correct. To me her test will properly help you understand the topic, even though you will need to study a lot.
Professor Wilkerson was very fair in how she set up this course. Although the class was pretty hard, which is expected since it's Calculus II, her tests were quite similar to the homework and textbook homework. Additionally, she gave a lot of partial credit and even opportunities for extra credit towards the end of the course. Take her.
Professor Wilkerson makes the material accessible, even in online classes. Attend her office hours and utilize unstuck AI for study prep - it's a game-changer along with the textbook readings.
Doesn't give any additional help other than the homework; no study guides, extra questions, or explanations. Her test are some what difficult, and to be done by hand. If you can learn from just lectures then Cora is your gal.
Professor Wilkerson knows what she is doing but she has very boring lectures that are typically messy. She also provides no test guide or review which can make preparing for test hard. Overall she teaches math and there aren't many ways to do so well.
If you attend class, read the textbook, complete the recommended problems at the end of each chapter, and complete the homework, it is very manageable to get an A in the class. She is truly amazing.
Slightly rude, an egoist and makes fun of your accent. Doesn't make a nice schedule between test. No good review. Preparation for finals is like an 101 problem, clearly not everything is on the final.
If you don't take the time to learn in this class, you won't do well. Wilkerson is an amazing professor who explains concepts in such depth. Ignore the other bad reviews talking about how bad her tests are, that's how MAC2312 is. If you don't keep up, you won't do well. Wilkerson tries her best to give you time for tests. Great teacher overall.
If you attend class, read the textbook, complete the problems at the end of each chapter, and complete the homework, then getting an A should be no problem.
First off calc 2 is hard and Prof Wilkerson's class is no exception, so if you think you won't have to study for this one your wrong. Her lectures are good very detailed. She gives partial credit on everything so even when you think you "bombed" it, maybe you didn't. Study up on Trig identities because your going to need them. good luck.
This is calc 2. It wasnt easy but Wilkerson gives all the opportunity needed to succeed. If i had tried more an A was attainable. Attendance inst mandatory but if you're skipping in calc 2, good luck. Plenty of opportunity for extra credit, Wilkerson cares about her students. I am taking her calc 3 currently and will take DE with her aswell.
