great teacher,makes the class fun and intresting. always willing to help you out. she will make you work for your grade, but she also will give you EC if you need it. i highly recommend her class.

C. Adler is awesome. she is very helpful and always positive. not very much homework. but you need to study for your quizes and tests. dont use the book too much but thats definetly where you should be studying from.

Great teacher! She uses alot of powerpoint and video clips. Most of the notes she puts online which helps if you missed some, but you should still come to class to understand the lectures. Not much homework, but definitely STUDY for the quizzes and exams. She makes the topics fun and interesting. I have her now. I reccommmend her to anyone :D

Just finished this semester-my all time favorite class!! Made me consider sociology as major. She is a great teacher, great slides and videos, super interesting discussions and the final project was fun. I loved this class

Corey's class is fun and very educational. Whether sociology is your major or not, you can learn a great deal from her class. There' are 4 major exams, and she takes the top 3 scores which means you don't have to take the final exam if you do well in the first 3. Quizzes and extra-credits are given out througout the class. HW amount is reasonable.

Took her class Spring '09. She's very passionate about the subject and her class made me consider becoming a sociology major. She gives you study guides for all her tests and she drops the lowest score. There is a group project so make some friends.

Adler is an excellent teacher who is very passionate about sociology. Attendance wasn't required but every now and then she gives extra credit for coming on time. Her exams aren't that difficult but some questions can be tricky because she gives similar answers to choose from the multiple choice questions. She's really funny and dresses nice.

MY FAVORITE TEACHER EVER!!!I still hold conversations with her on campus and I am not even enrolled in her class this semester. She is funny, cool, young, gives easy tests people just STUDY the lecture notes and her class is a piece of cake!

Awesome professor! Easy study guide, up to 4 exams(grades 3,drops lowest one), and a portfolio(suggested working on it after every chapter).

I took her online class this past fall. She's really nice, helpful, and responds to emails quickly. Homework every week, I think 4 or 5 exams which are open book and not timed, discussion posts with the class, and a paper at the end. As long as you're willing to keep with your work this class will be good for you. Highly recommended :)

Mrs. Adler's an awesome teacher! She's so funny, and her personality's great! She's really hyper, and i love it, because she gets her class hyper too! Women's Studies is a very interesting class, NOT ONLY FOR WOMEN, but for men as well! It gives everyone a chance to open up about things.

She is a great professor. Her class lectures are really fun and enjoyable to listen to! She really keeps the class alive and she wants us to understand and make sure we understand what we are doing in class. I recommend her to everyone! She is also really nice to talk to. Her tests and homework are fair.

Attendance is mandatory if you want to recieve points at the end of the class and also the password to look at the power points. The exams are split,you have to summarize and reflect 6 articles total which is stressful!the 2 part should be easy aslong as you study the studyguides. Theres a presentation due at the end of the semester,10pg essay

Corey is amazing! She is truly passionate about what she is teaching. She makes real learning and understanding the goal of her class. There is lots of reading and reflecting, but it is not much of a chore, everything is really interesting. Lots of discussion, and quite a bit of arguing. It makes you grow, seriously. TAKE IT.

Hardly used the book. ATTENDANCE MANDATORY. Has a paper due in the end (Sociological Profile) but its more of long reflection. HIGHLY, SUGGEST.

really nice, fun and energetic teacher. She is highly enthusiastic about juvenile delinquency (soc231). yet, the work load is a bit much in terms of reading reflections and the tests arent too hard. note: she is very sensitive to people paying attention in class: no sleeping, no texting during classtime. participation is highly recommended

Under Corey, Sociology is the best class that I have ever taken. She is always energetic and interested in making class experience the most fun, rewarding, and MEMORABLE experience possible. This means that she teaches in such a way that the curriculum is fun, engaging, and easy to remember. There are 5 exams (1 can be dropped), and a 7-page final.

The best teacher ever ! Bring paper and pen to class for notes and quizzes after every chapter only to help with the tests. Very energetic teacher and loves area of expertise. She really cares about her students and is very understanding. You will be laughing in every class period which is why I loved going to her class.

ONLINE COURSE: She structures the work in an organized and clear manner. 4 required discussion posts and a 30 min, 20 question chapter quiz due by 11:59pm sundays; 4 essay questions for monthly exams, but posts questions the week before. Textbook needed and a lot of terms to take in. Overall a good social science to take and good professor!

I took her women studies class a couple years back. She's amazing! Keeps it really interesting and makes us feel comfortable in the classroom.

Great professor, super energetic and fun... class was really easy, no need even take notes, just go to class and she teaches in a way that makes you understand the concepts rather than memorize stuff. You'll want to go to class too, she makes it super fun (we spent one class just playing Monopoly and listening to music lol)

This professor is such an amazing person. She is genuinely nice and respectful. She does a quick review before discussing a new chapter, as well as before taking an quiz or exam. She also provides study guides before an exam. In this class you will have fun and learn at the same time. Overall, she is such a smart professor. You will gain insight.

I took her class online though I heard she's a great teacher in person too. But online, the class was easy and pretty self explaintory. You have to do a quiz each week about the chapter, three exams which consists of four essay questions each exam. And every week you get points just for discussing to other classmates the question of the week.

Corey Adler makes this online class fun. Discussions are cool, all the students in the discussions are very friendly, and Adler really likes that. She states everything you need on the syllabus.

Adler = Awesome! You will never have to worry about trying to stay awake in this class! She somehow makes EVERYTHING interesting. Professor Adler is extremely knowledgable in her field, and you will learn a ton.

She's a good teacher! She makes her classes worth coming to because she always has a small activity at the end of a lecture. You make friends with your classmates because you do a lot of sharing around where you sit with each other. The quizzes and exams are easy, study her study guide and you'll have no problem. You also get to make up points.

Corey is in my opinion the best teacher at LCC. We NEED more professors like her. She was always engaging the class in fun and interesting activities that helped us learn the material. There are no exams in this class. Just readings/responses and a final project! I think everyone needs to take this class! It's honestly the best!!

Professor Adler is very upbeat and passionate about the subject that she teaches! I took her women's studies course and LOVED it. Since it is a writing intensive course, there are short papers to write about articles online (most are interesting) with a research paper to follow at the end of the semester. This class made me realize a lot! Loved it!

class was really easy just do the work, it is not too much time consuming. Gives a lot of opportunity or extra credit. I don't know how you can't get a good grade in her class.

Corey won't be present for much of the class, but it's sort of expected considering it's online. Read, read, read. Quizzes are easy, exams are tough (essay exams), and graded kind of harshly. Corey will work with you if you have online issues and reach out quickly. It seems if Corey can see you put forth effort, you'll be graded fairly well.

Amazing professor who is extremely knowledgeable and caring. Not hard at all, I got an A. There is quite a bit of reading, but it is not boring reading. Class was interesting and I learned a lot. I would recommend her to everyone.

Professor Adler is great! Her lectures are so interesting it makes you want to go to class. She gives a lot of examples and goes over the important concepts multiple times so you understand it. Her quizzes and exams aren't too bad, just study the terms on her study guide and you'll do fine. Take her class, you won't regret it!

She is completely fun and hilarious, and gives you an opportunity to retake each quiz she hands out. Any class where we use class time to play Monopoly is good in my book. She gives points for attendance and participation, and gives extra credit pop quizzes, so be sure to show up every day and raise your hand every so often.

Four assignments and four exams. Exams consist of multiple choice, short answer, and short essay. You will definitely have fun in her class!

Awesome Professor!

She is the most hilarious and fun teachers out there. She is always enthusiastic every class. We have a quiz for each chapter and the exams are somewhat hard because there is so much that you need to remember and the questions are all scenario based. But I highly recommend that you take her class since she makes learning really fun

She never has me bored in class. Activities and assignments she does helps me understand and retain the information/definitions we learn. Quizzes are a breeze. She gives study guides that really help. Just study your terms and you'll do great in this class. She is always understanding when you miss a quiz or exam and is flexible.

This class was about women and the roles that women are and were expected to play in America. She was very animated and the things that were taught were very interesting. A lot of reading that was sometimes boring but its a WI class so what do you expect? Very helpful. Very nice. she was open to ideas concerning assignments and projects. NO EXAMS!

best teacher i've had my whole life

I had her for soc 151 and she was the best prof I ever had and had to take her WS class. Since it is a WI there is a paper that is due every week. There is no page limit but as long as you discuss the most important parts. There is also a discussion you have to do every week. Just like any online class. TBH it wasn't really that hard

The class itself is an easy A if you do everything that's required. Quizzes have unlimited retakes online and the same questions will come up on an exams. Essay questions are posted during the week of the exam. She posts really interesting discussion questions and it helps you understand the subject better. Really recommend if need a DS credit.

WOW! I love Dr. Adler. Amazing teacher. She is so engaging and passionate the class just flies by leaving all the students grasping for more. Her fantastic sense of humor makes it awesome. Don't skip class- she's a gifted lecturer and will make you feel like you are a real sociologist. Her assignments are fun and applicable.

Shes a very engaging teacher. Amazing teacher I would defi suggest taking her other classes. She does let you turn on late work anytime with just some points taken off. If your absent a lot you may not pass the class. But if your there 75% of the time and do the work youll pass.

I love Dr. Adler! She is so easy to talk to, accessible, and brilliant. I learned so much in her class. Her teaching really cultivated a love of social sciences. It is not hard to pass the class. Show up, study a little, and put some effort in to the assignments. You will become a sociologist at the end of the semester.

She's very enthusiastic. Tough grader and doesn't like to give full credit even for participation if you show up and participate daily. I've never had less than 100% in participation until I took this class. It is a fun class, but not your typical 100 class. She expects mastery of each topic. Overall fun, but confusing/slow grading.

I took her SOC 100 class Fall 2016 and WS 151 online Fall 2017. Do not miss out on WS 151 the easiest writing intensive you'll ever take. Only one page per week MLA style. SOC 100 was an experience, she is so passionate and lively. You may have to make a bit of effort but its not difficult, especially since this topic is relatable and enjoyable.

Professor Adler is one of the best professors that I have had at LCC. She is always so energetic and is truly passionate about her teaching of Sociology. The assignments are spread out throughout the semester. Definitely pay attention in class and review the lecture slides for exams. The group activities are fun and help you get to know everyone.

this professor is SO funny. she literally makes all her students laugh, and she's so kind. does great lectures for sociology, and participation matters! she does a lot of group activities, and she is not a harsh grader. def. recommend taking this course with her. super cool, and loud teacher hahaha love her

Corey was a great professor that made lectures interesting and exciting. I looked forward to going to her class because of the engaging classroom discussions we'd have. She is part of the OnTrack program, so there were many familiar faces with me, which made the class a lot more fun. I would've definitely taken more of her classes if I could.

Since there were no zoom classes, our only resources were the textbook thats online and the resources/replies from the discussion assignments. She makes sure that everyone understands the topic by replying to us in discussions. There is a quiz every week when the discussion assignment is due, which are easy questions to look up. No extra credit.

Professor Adler has been one of the best professors I've had. She is very understanding and her instructions are clear. You will have a discussion post and quiz every week and will also have 3 assessments (worth 100 points each) throughout the semester which will be open for 2 weeks. Don't do them last minute because your grade falls heavy on these

Love this professor! The content might seem like a lot and scary but at the end of the course, you will feel very satisfied with everything you've learned. Deffinetly recommend!
