Barwick is a great professor. Im taking him for POLI 3100 Section 01 and he is a tough instructor. He is very kind but his content is heavy on the brain! Overall a professor that will make sure you get the information. I am a smart guy, but he makes think and hes so much smarter. The plus to his hard content and strictness is that he is so HOT!

Simply put, Dr. Barwick offers a remarkable amount of time outside of class and will help guide your thought process to be successful. He will not give out a grade, you seriously have to work for it. Mr. Barwick is the second professor I've taken Research and Methodology with and he definitely focuses more on the applications in the field of the course than my previous professor. This was most definitely a grade I had to word for , but overall he worked with me , gave me honest feedback and kept everything real and straight to the point. Professor Barwicks Research Methodology class is no joke. To pass the class, you will have to put in time and effort. There is no cheat sheet to look up the answers for this class. Being the case, it has made me a better student and realizes what a real education intels. I highly recommend it, but it is not for the weak.

Dr. Barwick is an amazing teacher! He is always accessible and gives the best feedback. He tries his best to make sure you understand everything going on in the course and gives multiple examples. The homework assignments actually test your knowledge and make you think to ensure your understanding of the material.

I took Dr. Barwick for Research Methods. He really wants the best for his students and you will actually learn. He won't just pass you by he wants you to grasp the concepts and progress throughout the semester.

Dr. Barwick is the best professor to take if you want to learn and dont mind putting in the work. This class was not easy which is probably why it is self selected lol. Overall if you want to go to law school this is the best class to take. In here you will read cases understand them and write a brief.

Prof Barwick is a great professor! He is very specific with grading the papers , but also provides great feedback. You have to pay attention during class if you want to pass and as far as online goes you needed to be on time with your camera on. The discussions we had during class were very informational and enjoyable. This was my favorite class!

Barwick is one of the best teachers I've had. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and can answer just about every question you have. He encourages participation and will even stay and chat after class with you if you would like. He also gives good and in depth feedback on papers. Make sure you come to class and you will pass.

In this class you will not need the book, but it is hopeful to get it. You should the rent the book if you dont have a friend that has one. Also this class will be a small class so take advantage of it only being 3 or 5 other students in the class. Go to class because missing one class can throw you off because you need practice with the work.

Barwick is a professor who will give you your money's worth. This course has challenged me more than any other course within my college experience. It has been a pleasure to take this course and actually learn something. I love a good challenege ...I mean who doesnt ? ANYTHING worth having won't come easy. DONT HESISTATE take the course

Dr. Barwick is a great teacher overall. He expect his students to be ready and prepared to speak in class about topics. He grade mainly paper assignments and has pop quizzes. Pay attention closely in class and take notes on his lectures.

Prof. Barwick by far is one of the most knowledgeable professors at Tennessee State University. Very passionate about helping student retain all information. Very helpful, straightforward and honest. If you want an easy class to just pass, this is not a recommended course. Be prepared to read and use all learned material throughout the course.

Great teacher, tedious work

Great at explaining things, will walk you through each assignment beforhand, understanding that things happen in life but also his class is important, as long as you take notes youll pass the paper assignment and quizzes.

Dr. Barwick is heavy on holding students accountable, and preparing them for their future endeavors. That being said if this will be your first law course please be cautious and know that you grades may not always be reflective of your personal progress. Our class was virtual which I feel made it a lot more difficult but be patient and prepare.

He is the best! And w/ that said he is not the easiest, you'll have to work for your grade. Prepare to rely heavily on your reading assignments & lectures for the papers. He gives good feedback on your papers, & Dr. Barwick always makes time to meet w/ students a/b papers and grades. I highly recommend him b/c you'll gain a lot of knowledge!

Dr. Barwick is probably one of the toughest professor to take, but this create space for you to be a better student. He will hold you accountable and be critical about the effort you put into his classes. Do not be afraid to talk to him regarding work because he will be there to help you. Remain positive and focus on your improvement.

LOVE taking Dr. Barwick. This is my fourth time taking him, and I would take even more if I could. He truly helps you improve and prepares you for law school courses. I took first amendment law with Dr. Barwick. This is my second course with him so I was already aware of his level of requirements. He definitely expects a lot but over all wants the best for students especially if you are preparing for law school.

For first amendment law. He's a good professor but requires a lot from his students. Get ready to read and do intense papers. If you're looking for an easy pay this is not the class for you most definitely will have to work very hard for it

This class was challenging, not because the work was hard but because the work required time and accuracy. Professor Barwick is not a teacher that will just let you get by with the bare minimum. You have to articulate your thoughts, while having a concise and organized paper. The work load isnt bad, but you have to pay attention in class!

I held one of the highest positions in college this year, and Dr. Barwick was supportive the entire time. Times when I did not understand, he would get on ZOOM to break everything down. He worked with my schedule. Only thing he wants in return is to see you truly trying. Once he sees you trying, he will meet you halfway and help in any way he can.

It is a difficult class. Lots of reading is required to get an A and taking law classes before this would help. We have a few papers but they are difficult.

He wants you to pass so he will take out time to do workshops or one-on-one with you to make sure that you understand. He will call you out in class to make sure that everyone is somewhat understanding. If you do not come to class you will because he gives grades for attendance. Overall he is a great professor and I have taken him for two classes.

Dr. Barwick is a great professor, and you can tell he enjoys his job and cares about the success of us as students. This class wasn't easy for people, but if you pay attention in the lectures, ask help when you are confused, and actually study you should do fine. He gave us a study guide for the midterm and final which was very helpful!

Barwick enjoys teaching and is very knowledgeable. Course load is not heavy at all but he requires specific answers so you have to make sure you really understand the material. You shouldn't miss class just because you'll be lost if you do and he takes a grade for attendance. The class itself is not super hard and not boring he makes it engaging.

Corey Is a great professor. He makes the class enjoyable and has great interaction skills. His class is pretty difficult but he matches his teaching to his work. For my class, attendance wasn't mandatory but you would lose valuable information if you decide to skip his class. Be ready to work and earn your grade. Its not an "easy pass".

Great professor! The lectures are interactive and allow for more ideas to flourish. A very tough grader, and he won't just give you a good grade. You have to "earn the grade". Very nice and is passionate about what he teaches. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't go to class, you will fail because the material is so specific and hard. 10/10

Personally, I think he's the best professor in the department! Yes he is quite a tough grader and is very particular but he gives you all the tools you need to succeed and will even help you use them. He's not the professor to give you the answers but will lead you in the right direction to come to the conclusion by yourself. Read and go to class

Great teacher and would 100% take him again. The key to passing his class is taking notes and participation. ALL lecture power points are posted after class so I would suggest taking notes on the things he says in class that aren't on the slides. He's very particular about your answers so it's best to just study his exact wording.

He is especially refreshing for those attending TSU who are tired of the professors and rhetoric as a whole that favor subjectivity over objectivity in data and/or fact-based subject areas because it is more "inclusive".

In order to pass the quizzes and essay you have to pay attention in class and be there if you miss class you miss a lot of information. Also makes you think if you're truly ready for law school or not.

Dr. Barwick is a great professor! He's incredibly knowledgeable about the subject, and I learned so much in this class. With that being said he will challenge you. There were times when I seriously questioned my entire career path, but that's the point. You have to apply yourself, study hard, and think outside the box if you want to succeed.

While this is a delightfully challenging course, it is great for getting prepared for and used to law school level work. Yes he grades tough, there is a lot of reading, and the exams can be nerve wracking, but he wants to to see you succeed (as long as you do the readings lol).

Judicial Process is a hard class, but you definitely learn a lot. Attend class, ask questions, do the readings, and you should be good!

Given that I took National Government, a lower division course, I felt the difficulty level was appropriate, but I have heard his upper level courses are harder.
