He is a terrific teacher. his classes are exactly like a class you took in high school. he makes learning interesting. If you hate writing, he's the perfect man for the job. he makes his assignments easy and fun. go to class, he takes note of attendance. kinda a rough grader though on your final grade, suprised me a bit... but overall, the BEST!

Corey is hands down the most intelligent, fun, and inspiring professor I have ever had in my educational career. Unlike other instructors who look at you like an ID number, he takes the time to get to know each and every one of his students individually and encourages them to excel everyday. Corey is really everything you need in an English teacher! He gives you good books to read and encourages/inspires you to write more. He also gives us interesting a fun projects! Really friendly, attractive personality! Easy A. We wrote two 5 pagers. Very easygoing. the type of person that can say things that would be taken as offensive from another person but is somehow funny from him. i felt that sometimes bs's ppl with flattery though. Otherwise, he makes it as easy as possible to pass (im not necessarily a betr writr).

Professor Corey is a very easy professor, who has a genius to how he teaches his class. It seems like your not learning but you actually are. Really laidback and very helpful. Definitely go for him.

A great personality, funny and is quite charming. Yet, he does overkill on the jokes but you have to take it lightly. Class is low pressure but he will give more work. He gave like 6 quizzes on classes in a row. Just do the reading thou.He also gave a ten page final essay. His projects are not bad but you must do good on them. I would take him.

One of the best classes and professors in Baruch. He is not easy, TONS of reading to do, 6 quizzes, long papers and class discussions. He's extremely funny and the class is a blast, but only if you're willing to do the work. I highly recommend Corey, I miss this class already!

The thing is... you can't find a more understanding, funny, and chill guy as Corey at Baruch or, if I may, many places outside of it. Don't be fooled though. He takes attendance very seriously. Just show up to class and enjoy it.

Great professor! I love his style of teaching and his openness with his students. He is very passionate about what he teaches, if its about the war of course. Two essay exams and quizzes throughout the semester. You must do the reading in order to pass the class.

I URGE all baruch students to take Prof. Mead before he realizes his worth as a professor and moves on to NYU or Harvard! He's amazing. His class is like an hour-long comedy session and his homework assignments are more than reasonable. If you have a brain (or even one side of a brain) you'll get a high grade.

Wow. Best professor I had at Baruch. There's a quiz every week but it's a cakewalk if you just read and he usually gives you hints while you are taking them. Two essays which weren't too difficult (5-6 pages each) and a presentation. Very lenient grader. I wish he was teaching 2800/2850 for fall, oh well.

Easiest professor you will ever have. The assignments that he had for my class were stuff that we knew already, but we simply had to go more in depth about them. If you get anything except an A or B the lowest, you're going to have a very tough time in college.

One of the most pleasant and easy going professors at Baruch. Short quizzes on readings for the first half of the year, then a couple of written assignments in the second half. IF there are spots left for his class, take him! It was a pleasure to have him as a professor.

Get ready to read guys but its not as bad as you think! 20 page articles have to be read for each class and then you are quizzed on it in class but don't worry! they're relatively easy and he's really nice about the grades. Professor Mead is one of the best professor Ive ever had. Besides the frequent absences he had during the semester, he pulled out to be great! Tons of article readings, and quizzes for each article read. One 25 page paper on something we learned in class. Don't worry you'll be in great shape, just don't slack off and try to participate!

It feels like you're in the high school again. Easy, funny, but still educational. Long articles to read with quizzes after reading, a lot of movies without quizzes. No midterm, a 20 pages paper as final, write what you want, it could be not academic style, but kind of newspaper article. You'll have a lot of time for the paper and good feedback.

He's the homie. He is the scripted awesome teachers in movies, but he is actually real. He is a must take, trust me. Only 1 paper; the final 20 page paper about an interesting topic. He shows movies but he rarely finishes them, and let's us leave 1 hour early instead.

Good professor. A lot of ny times articles and small quizzes. One 25 page paper on any topic due at the end of the semester. It's tough but doable. He's pretty funny too.

Professor Corey is the man. Take him, you won't regret it. He cares about his students. Even if you fail first of your few quizzes, focus on your final paper and you are good to go!

The most interesting English class I have ever taken in my life. Extremely interesting articles along with in class movies. Be prepared for an unorthodox classroom manner (he is a little touchy and has an odd sense of humor). He is a fair grader and wants to give you a good grade.

Not your typical college professor, but in a GOOD way. Must read a (kinda long) news article for every class. Quiz every class. Lectures are interesting and about what happens around the world (based on our readings). Movies occasionally. One final 20 page paper at the end, but was worth it. Hands down the best professor I ever had. The HW consisted of simple articles and TV episodes while the class was jam packed with interesing discussions and a couple of quizes. The guy is not only hilarious but is also an amazing teacher. I enjoyed doing his assignments so much that I actually started writing as a hobby. FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC

I really enjoyed him. We only had a few writing assignments. The final was really easy, and he had mandatory days for us to go to him and he went over the final paper with you. Our homework was basically to watch an episode or two of TV, and the occasional article. In class we discussed the readings and TV show. Highly recommend.

This class is pretty fun and very thought-provoking. You have to read a lot, like a lot. The articles are mostly interesting. If you don't read, you will fail the quizzes.

Professor Mead is absolutely great! We have very interesting readings and quizzes based on the reading. Expect a quiz with every reading. We read a lot of crime-based stuff so the readings are actually very captivating and not at all boring. I highly recommend taking Professor Mead as a teacher as he is very helpful and interactive with students.

Awesome class, this guy is really funny and loves to joke around with the class. Papers weren't graded harshly at all, however he assigns lengthy research papers for the honors class (10 pages). Read all the material he assigns, its a lot of reading but you won't pass the quizzes if you don't read. He usually assigns interesting articles.

Good class. You read some interesting articles, discuss said articles, take quizzes and write papers. Rinse and repeat for pretty much the entire semester. Your grade will depend on those things but the papers have the highest weight.

I hate reading but Professor Meadss readings were so interesting! There are two ten page papers which you can either choose between a research paper or write your own story. There are quizzes mostly every class to see if you did the reading. If you did the very interesting reading, you should be fine! Mead is funny and makes class worthwhile..

TAKE HIM. HE'S AMAZING AND I LOVE HIM. On a serious note, he's super caring and willing to work with you if you had any issues with deadlines or making it to class. Lectures were more like class discussion and it was super interesting. Would recommend him 10000 times over.

You're graded by two 10 page papers and quizzes that are given every class. As long as you read the given work, it's really easy to get an A. Really understanding teacher as well and he is very laid back in a good way. Take him if you want to enjoy a class!

Professor Mead used a wide assortment of mediums to cover the course themes - from discussion forums and films to poems and articles, making every class dynamic. He did a great job picking content to cover the course themes via a global lens. Dont slack on readings to pass the quizzes. The course improved my creative writing skills.

Probably my favorite professor in Baruch, so far. The content is super interesting and he is actually a really funny guy. You mostly watch movies during the lectures which are interesting and teach you a lot about cults. 2 papers of about 10-15 pages but he is a very lenient grader. Would highly recommend but hard to get since he's in high demand

The class is based on articles he reads in his free time, so it's pretty interesting. There are quizzes based on the reading usually weekly, but simple questions and easy A if you read. The class is interesting and he does not give out homework besides the article readings and midterm/final which are essay papers with interesting topics.

Def the best professor I've ever had. Every time you have a reading, you'll most likely have a quiz. As long as you read, you'll do fine on the quiz. There is a midterm and final paper that is fairly easy. We watched a few movies throughout the course as well. Overall all, he's very chill, sarcastic, funny, and friendly.

One of the best professors, extremely funny, and cares about his students. We have daily quizzes on the readings he assigns but they're extremely easy if you read. Only two 8 page essays the entire semester. He also picks a theme every semester and this semester's theme is crime. The themes he chooses make everything so much more interesting.

Highly recommend for ENG. Doesn't teach like the conventional class where you have lectures, Instead assigns u an interesting story/movie to read for next class. Quiz every class and would start most classes with 30 minutes left. 2 papers to do but very easy to do bc it can be based on anything u learned prior in the class. Very funny and real.

Amazing choice for any English class. Work consists of quizzes which aren't hard if you actually do the reading and 2 papers which you have a lot of freedom on. Interesting topics are covered. Cool and funny guy too.

The best professor in the school. Class is so short and you get two major papers which are easy. Just watch videos and a quiz about reading here and there.

2 big essays to write but they are easy hes not a tough grader with them. He gives pop up quizzes so please read the articles theyre long. Quizzes very detailed and all short responses. I got like Bs on a lot of them but my final grade was still A so dont stress too much but read. Hes also funny and his class was actually entertaining!!!

This professor really set a precedent for me when starting college and having him first semester... He's very chill and down to Earth and chose really great topics to focus on for the Writing I class. Very light workload but when you do get work you feel very motivated to actually do it because of the level of respect & in-class conversations.

Took him for my first semester here and is by far my favorite professor! Only 2 major writing assignments and no hw unless we have a quiz popping up. Really funny guy and makes you want to come to class!

Currently taking him and I really enjoy his class. This semester's topic is crime and extremely interesting. No exams, just a couple pop quizzes here and there to see if you did the reading, interesting reads too. As a finance major, he indirectly even made me think about doing journalism. 2 major writing assignments about any crime, very fun!

I love this literature professor! Genuinely makes this subject fun and enjoyable. Throughout the course, we focused on alien investigation. We would discuss the shows that we watch in class and talk about our own skepticisms. If you care about having fun, and creativity, instead of being bombed by essays, I strongly recommend.
