Dr. Myers is super enthusiastic about the material and clearly understands physics concepts, but he is super hard to get ahold of to answer questions. He is clearly a very recent grad, so I feel bad for criticizing him too much, but he is not much help in an already difficult course. I feel like he is light years ahead of the class during lectures.

For an intro level physics class, understanding the material in Corey Meyers class is very challenging. Im writing this review more so to help those who are enrolling for spring physics 111, but I would not recommend taking this class in the slightest. If you want to teach yourself all the material, go for it. Week 6 and I have no idea what to do.

For this being an intro class it is extremely difficult. I stopped going to class because I have learned more on my own from the textbook and homework. He writes the quizzes himself and they feel like an advanced level. I get excited when I get a 50% on them. I feel bad because he is fairly new to this but it is affecting my grade.

Homework and quizzes can be very hard and there are no similar examples in the notes. He is a nice enough guy but he needs to work on his teaching style.

He doesn't know how to teach or communicate at all. When asking about different things he could do to make the class better, when we responded he said "ill think about it" and then did nothing. Worked no problems out in front of us and was rude to students asking questions. Can't understand him and you will have to learn material outside of class.

This professor takes over 2 days to get back to emails and is so awkward when you try to ask him questions in class or will not answer the questions correctly like he does not like human contact. A student in my class asked him to help us by going step by step through a problem and he stated "I gave you the equation that's basically the answer".

Would rate a zero but I cannot. Mr. Myers reads straight from the textbook and offers no extra insight or help. You will have to teach yourself. Out of my years of courses, this is the worst I've ever experienced. Do not take this course, plain and simple. His study guide for our test did not help at all and was 96 slides long.. run...

I did not take Myers for the class itself however I took him for the recitation. A lot of people think recitations are dumb but I disagree. Being able to go from a confusing lecture and having him ask what WE wanted to go over was great. He'd pull up his slides and talk TO us not a large lecture. If you are worried take the recitation.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH MYERS!!! He's just not good at teaching. I've made some progress studying on my own, but the lectures just make everything worse. There's 3-5 homework assignments each week that take up to two hours each. He doesn't give example problems in class either. He reads straight off the Pearson made slides. Avoid at all costs!!

He just reads off slides. He is not kind to students and when they ask questions he just dismisses them. However, he does curve the exams a lot, our last exam average was a 42% and he curved it to a 75% so that is good.

He has an awful teaching style. He doesn't seem to actually care if you learn anything or not, he just seems to wants to get through it. The second exam was so bad he had to give it two curves just so the entire class wouldn't fail it. Do whatever you have to do to not take Corey Myers' class.

Do NOT take this Professor if you can help it!!!! It is very difficult to understand him in lectures. He does not do a good job at helping you or answering questions. All he does is read the textbook almost word for word. He does curve the exams a lot because so many students fail.

Awful. Lectures were wasted by Dr. Myers using the entire time to read word for word from the textbook with zero insight, practice problems, or helpful tips. Be prepared to waste your time being in class, and learning all content by yourself. When asked for help, the only insight Myers give is that "here is the equation Idk whats so confusing".

When signing up for my classes this year the professor for this class was TBA so I had no clue who my professor was going to be until a week before classes started. If I knew how bad of a professor Dr. Myers is, I would've switched IMMEDIATELY. You will not learn in his class, avoid at all costs!!!

I could not stand this class. Dr. Myers reads off slides (that are generated by Pearson) word for word. He provides little to no problem examples and the final is worth 25%. If you must take his class, I suggest attending, answering TopHat questions, and doing other work. You'll have to teach yourself the material on your own time.

Lectures were read straight from the slides and he did not give clear answers to questions in class so I had to teach myself large portions of the material. Dr. Myers is knowledgeable, but struggles to explain his reasoning to questions so your best bet is to ask questions outside of class time. He is also willing to curve exams.

Dr. Myers reads directly from the textbook and does not work through problems, even if asked. Much of his lectures are spent quickly reading through the slides without elaborating on what any of the information actually means. Be ready to teach yourself all of the material on your own time and watch a lot of Organic Chemistry Tutor.

Dr. Myers' class is great if you're someone who doesn't care about the material. If you care about your education and the money you spend to take courses, don't take Myers. He spends all class time reading textbook slide decks then assigns 6+ hours of homework every week. I ended the class with a 98, but didn't learn anything.
