Professor Sobel is an exceptional lecturer. He makes sure everyone one understands the course even if he has to go back to explain the whole concept. Although the course was really depending, he made every effort to get us through the course by giving us series of assignments and working them together with us in class.

The professor that explains everything is details and, you are welcome to ask your questions. I really enjoyed learning Managerial Accounting in his class.

Teaching was clear and easy to understand, very impressed with his ability to continuously talk for more than three hours at a stretch. He is very passionate about teaching.

He is the best professor. Accounts become easy for beginners as well because of him. He will make you buy a subscription, but it will be very beneficial to get that. You will never feel that you have wasted your money on it.

The classes were very clear, the professor really shows he likes teaching and he is very well prepared. The self study was difficult as also the exams (time constraining). Assignments take a lot of time so maybe more grades on them would help.

Very concise and comprehensive lecture. He replies to email questions promptly. Weekly homework is a little difficult compared to his lectures. Better to review the textbook and take the time to solve them. Participation (attendance & homework) has only a 5% mark for the assessment. Exam & group work are important and have more than 25% each.

Professor Corey's lecture has a lot of real world application, which made the lecture much more easier to understand. Attendance is mandatory and his lectures are really approachable for students that has never taken accounting before. Homework and attendance is mandatory, learning accounting is best by practicing.

The best part about classes are that if he doesnt teach you a topic, he wont test you in exams. Further the assignments and group project were very industry oriented.

Corey Is one of the best professors in UCW. The course is not easy but he give you the tools for understand everything. And if you don't understand, he is always available for response to your questions in class or email.

Sobel is a great accounting professor. He is patient with everyone. He provides good feedback. he does give you a good feedback. However, the midterm and the final exams are heavy (at least for me). 30 questions to complete in 60 min. Ensure that you know all the material. If I can, I would take another class with him.

The instruction is very detailed and clear. The only one thing that makes the class a little tough to non-accounting background students are online quizzes, which were a bit long with mixed types of questions. It would be not challenging for accounting-majoring students. I would recommend to take this professor.

Arguably one of the best teachers at UCW. He delivers every lesson with clarity. He always keeps everything clear, concise and on-point. The calculation questions on the quizzes are always exactly the same as the homework he gives so If you do all of his homework and check the solutions, you will have no problem getting AT LEAST 80-90% of the test.

He is my favorite Professor so far, good thing that I took him on my 1st sem in UCW. He is good at teaching!

One of the best professors at UCW! He makes Accounting easily understandable even for students without Accounting backgrounds. His lectures are clear and concise, he is easily reachable even outside class hours & responds to your queries quickly. We have 4 quizzes which are not very hard as long as you study well, 1 individual & 1 group paper.

Clear lectures, very reasonable, clarifies any questions, applies the concepts to business. Grades are straightforward. I've no accounting background but I made an effort to study and did a lot of practice exercises and got an A+ Wiley Plus not required. He shares videos for asynchronous so you don't have to read the book. He's the best.

Prof. Corey is the best prof for me so far specially for those who have zero experience or knowledge in Acctg. You will really learn a lot from him. I will truly recommend him. Hes also a fair grader, very approachable and he is very helpful.

Gave homework (optional, not graded) and discussed the answers in class. Quizzes were challenging for a beginner like myself, but we had everything we needed to ace the class, if we studied well.

Prof. Corey is very reasonable when it comes to grades. Participation and review are required. Prof. Corey will ask to watch the chapter's video for advanced learning. Overall Prof.Corey is an excellent professor you can learn accounting even though you don't have a background in this course.

He is responsive to queries, and lectures may look easy. Still, you need to read to understand the assignment because his lectures are not always on the weekly online assignments, fair grader, 4 quizzes online but taken in class with time pressure, 1 individual case, and 1 group case and presentation for the final term.

Corey is the most organized teacher thus far! He stays on top of his email communication and class assignments. Students got to study and prepare for the projects and weekly quizzes, but achieving a decent grade was still very feasible. The professor has excellent presentation skills, and the way he talks in class is very clear and smooth.

Professor Corey Sobel is generally a good man. He gives good grades; you need to do well. Three in-class quizzes, one group assignment, one individual assignment, weekly Wiley quiz, and weekly ed puzzle video. You can have good marks if you put a little weight on the accounting background. He is a good professor and I want to take him again.

The professor teaches with clear, organized lectures. Non-accounting students may find it challenging initially, but with dedicated in-class and at-home study, success is attainable. Though Wiley assignments can be tough, they're beneficial for quizzes. Overall, he's an excellent, engaging professor who offers clear explanations and support.

He is the best in teaching, recording a weekly video to help his students, which help in the weekly assignments. The individual assignment is made at home, no test but 3 quizzes take in class with excel and formulas. Take him!

I think for all accounting classes, you have to pay another 100 CAD$ to access an outside platform - mandatory, and all the txt and most of the assignments are from there. He is accessible but keeps his distance ... speaks very clearly... but I almost failing ... But I do recommend

Corey is a great professor. He taught my BFIN 249 class online. It was fun, enjoyable and he makes everything super clear. He has straight forward assignments and his lectures are very easy to follow. Great teacher and very helpful if you do by chance get hung up or stuck on something. Positive attitude, patient and caring. Would highly recommend!

If you work hard you will get 100 in exam as well as in assignments. The professor teaches very well about every single topic in accounting. Only your hardwork will payoff in his course. Quizes are in class pen paper based which are pretty hard but manageable.

He's a very good professor. Teaches in a very understandable, clear manner. I'm not from an accounting background, but still got an A. But you've got to put some effort and do your homework too. If you work well, he gives good grades. Don't expect to do nothing, put no effort, and score well. That's not gonna happen with any professor.
