Young teacher, gives notes online, study the notes and you'll do great. I didn't go to class much and made a high B. take him for sure.
he's young, attractive, and very laid back. all his notes are online and the tests are very straight forward. the homework is always a very simple worksheet. LOVE THIS TEACHER!! wish he could teach all my psych classes!
Awesome professor. Straight-forward, powerpoints online, studt guide online, and extra credit if you attend. Relates material well to students. Little homework. Even though it's an easy class, you still learn a lot! would highly recommend!
He's a very laid back and gets along well with students. The homework is a simple worksheet from the back of the book. His tests are more questions of examples of what the definition is but as long as you study you'll do fine. Attendance is extra credit. I would recommend him!!
He is very laid-back but you will learn a lot from him! He mainly goes over power points and also offers them online. You will only use your textbook for the worksheets in the back which are easy. He's also good about exams which are mainly putting the theories into situations and giving extra credit for attendance. I loved his class!
He hands you a syllabus, you get the extra-credit and research info at the beginning of the semester. It's the law. He is incredible. the class is wonderful. Miss if you want, do great if you don't. there are things in lecture not on the pwr pnt. films too. Loved his class. 55 min. seemed like 10 min. learned and got enthused by him. +, hot
Good Professor. Be sure to attend class! He is helpful if you ask questions.
Dr. Teague was pretty cool. The class is pretty easy we got to take quizzes up to 4 times, and the quizzes include some test questions so it wasn't hard. The study guides were helpful too.
Easy class as long as you pay attention & take notes. Be sure to study before the tests!
I hated going to his class. He read straight off of the powerpoints, and was monotone. I would not recommend taking him. Also, his tests were not the easiest.
Dr. Teague is very laid back and chill. He is very upfront and lets you know what is on the test. The quizzes are easy and the test is too if you study. He also curves his grades which helps a lot. I would recommend him greatly. I learned a lot and actually changed my major because of him. You can skip if you want but going helps a lot.
The test were harder than I thought they would be, but still a great class. Those that complain are obviously the ones who didn't show up to class.
Cory is a great professor. Although his classes may be boring at times, he obviously cares about the subject and his students. Tests are not too easy but as long as you study you can get an A. He offers extra credit and curves the final score. Strongly recommend him. Plus, he is not bad on the eyes.
Dr Teague's class is not the most interesting, unless you are a psychology major.. His tests (I think) are pretty easy, as long as you study. You're not going to be able to get through the test without studying. However, I got pretty good grades on all the tests. He's an okay teacher and you can tell he knows a lot about the subject.
Great professor, uses power points that are available online so you can stay up to date if you miss a class. Multiple chances to take the quizzes online will help you prepare for the exams. He also gives multiple chances for extra credit, if you do a modest amount of work you can make a B or better easily.
Dr. Teague is genuinely interested in psychology. Homework and attendance are both extra credit. You only need the book if you want to do the EC homework. (the worksheets are tear-out from the book) However, the library has copies of the worksheets and will print them off for you. There are 10 online quizzes and 5 in-class tests. Easy A.
I loved this class. Lectures with power points aren't boring, & he engages in conversation with the class. You can tell he really loves psychology. Do the extra credit homework for each test & it will help your grades tremendously. He also gives a terms sheet for each test so you know what to study. Made notecards for every test and did great.
Professor Teague is very laid back. Though you have quizzes before every test, he lets you take all of the quizzes four times and takes the highest grade. Offers many extra credit opportunities. Professor Teague is a very nice caring person! I would totally take him again if i had the chance! WONDERFUL and EASY class!
SO glad I took Prof Teague for psych. I always hear horror stories of how people fail psych. But this prof is awesome! There's absolutely no reason not to get an A if you just try. Quizzes can be taken 4 times, exams are MC w/ study guides, all PP slides are online & hw is extra credit. Attendance is not mandatory. Would def take again.
He is a great teacher, BUT if you want to pass his class, you have to read the book AND go over the notes. The tests are basically the homework in the book and from the online quizzes, so be sure to take them more than once! Attendance isn't necessary to pass, but go anyways because he does random attendance.
Dr. Teague always stays after class to clarify any question you may have & posts all of his powerpoint on D2L, so you could skip the class everyday, study the powerpoints & make an A in the class. Awesome Christ-follower & is incredibly smart. His teaching methods are VERY easy to understand, also teaches upper-division psychology classes. A++!!
I was honestly dreading taking Psych, but he made it so easy ! No, going isn't mandatory, however he does give a lot of examples that are on his test. He does random attendance checks . He always stayed to clear up any misunderstandings. Test are easy if you either read the book or print power points . Easiest teacher.
Dr. Corey Teague is by far one of the best professors at MTSU. If you're going to take psychology, take him. You don't even have to go to class except for the exams. Everything you need is online. And he also curves every exam and the final grade.. I mean what else could you ask for. Definitely take.
Mr. Teague is very passionate. You can tell he loves what he does and it hard not to fall in love with the class. His tests aren't easy but if you study you're good. Attendance is not mandatory. Come if you want, but just do your work. Lots of extra credit, no final !! I loved the class and I recommend him.
Great guy, really enjoyed going to his class. He made psych very interesting, he is very strong in his faith so if your a Christion there is that. If not, he doesn't at all shove it in your face. I would talk to him for 5 - 10 minutes after class about life and enjoyed taking his class. Not an easy A, defiantly capable A though for sure.
Corey was wonderful! He is fun to listen to during lectures. Class isn't mandatory, he only takes roll occasionally. Tests aren't that hard as long as you do the reading/look over power points. Would definitely take him again!
Great, and easy to understand.
Dr. Teague is a great and understandable professor. Attendance is not mandatory; however he does take roll occasionally and randomly. Lectures were always interesting. Fairly easy class if you put the effort in.
He's seriously a wonderful professor. You do actually have to study, pay attention, and take notes. He gives quizzes online that make up the exams. If you do those the maximum number of times (4), then you should ace the tests no problem. It's an intro class, but he tries to keep it really interesting. I definitely recommend.
Awesome professor that helps you to understand the material and is funny!!
Attendance may not be required most of the time, HOWEVER definitely show up on test dates and go over the slideshow notes on D2L and be familiar with scenarios because many show up on the test! Definitely know terms because there are repeated questions in a different format on the exam as well. He is really good with giving extra credit with HW .
Super fun easy class. His tests are the same as the quizzes you take before each exam so as long as you do those you can pass the exams. Easy A
Dr. Teague's general psych class is a must take! I made A's on every single exam and i studied just a little bit. Gives online quizzes that you can take 4 times to get the highest grade. Offers lots of extra credit and makes lectures interesting!
Teague is amazing. His lectures are fun because he really likes student participation. His tests are exactly like his online quizzes. 100% would take him again.
Mr. Teague is a great teacher and I would take him again. The reason why i said attendance was mandatory was because he does 5 pop up roll calls and it counts towards your grade. If you study well and take the quizzes you will pass with an A. The reason why I said to get the book is because it has homework handouts that count as a grade.
Dr. Teague was super nice and caring but did not care if you ever came to class or not. By the end of the semester I only showed up for test days (there are 6 tests) I studied by taking each quiz that was offered all 4 times, writing down the question and answer and studying the power points. I made an A just by doing this.
Professor Teague was probably one of the best professors I have ever had. You can tell when he lectures that he cares about what he is teaching and that he wants you to know as much as he knows. I think it makes it even better because he is a practicing Psychologist. But no matter your major, this is definitely a class I would reccomend!
He is a very gentle man and seems to care greatly for his students. The tests were easy multiple choice and all the questions were from online quizzes that we took right before the test. Just take notes from the lecture and use the study guide and you'll get a good grade. If you are looking for a good dual enrollment class he is a great professor.
He is one of the EASIEST professors at MTSU. He is very monotone, and usually reads straight from the powerpoint. He is a nice guy, but he doesn't seem too interested when he teaches. Whenever someone asks him a question, he usually doesn't have an adequate answer to give. Take this prof if you want an easy A, but beware this is a BORING class
Dr. Teague is great! One of my favorite professors I've had at MTSU. He has his own practice which helps with giving examples in class. He's very laid back and calm which makes for a comfortable classroom environment. If you study, you'll get an A. We only go to class one day a week unless we have an exam. He makes class fun and jokes a lot.
If you want an easy Psych class, take Teague!!! I loved his class. He was so easy, and offered so many chances for extra credit. It's hard not to pass. His lectures were fun, tests were easy, and he offered practice tests which were basically what it was based on. Also, he calls them celebrations, not tests. He is truly great.
Dr. Teague is a good professor to take for this class. I took this to meet my gen ed. If you do the homework and complete all the quizzes, you can pass with a B. Go one step further and do the extra credit and retake quizzes, you will definitely get an A. This class is a Good GPA booster.
Dr. Teague is great! He is very laid back. We only meet once a week except for on test weeks! He does read straight off the powerpoint so it can be a little dull. He posts all of the powerpoints online and the tests are easy multiple choice. Also, a short paper due every week, two longer papers, and 5 short "chapter reaction papers" are required.
Attendance isn't mandatory, but you do get extra credit for showing up. You also do not need the textbook, you can copy the homework in the library for extra credit. He offers a bunch of credit so it is almost impossible to fail if you try in class.
He's very easy take him if you can!!
Dr. Teague is a great professor! His class is among the easiest I have took. He posts all of the powerpoints with study guides. Also, there are quizzes for each chapter he teachers, and you have 4 tries on each. If you study the quizzes you could definitely acquire an A. I strongly recommend taking his class! (Also who doesnt like extra credit?)
He posts his PowerPoint slides on D2L, so if you miss a class you can go back and copy the notes. Homework is out of the textbook and it counts as extra credit, and its really easy. There are 6 exams and no cumulative final. He also gives quizzes that are just like the test. I REALLY recommend taking him!
All tests are based on quizzes. Make sure to write down quiz questions & answers. Study for the tests. I enjoy his lectures and him trying to engage class in a discussion. Gives ton of extra credit opportunities and made me enjoy Psych more than I thought I would. Disappointed hes not teaching Developmental Psych.
Mr. Teague is an amazing teacher. He is very easy and the homework he gives you is extra credit. All quizzes are online and you can take them up to 4 times. His tests are really easy as well because he gives you a study guide and it basically is the test. I highly recommend taking him for psychology
You take 6 exams and theres no finals. A GREAT professor and is easy to talk to. He helps you out a lot and curves grades with extra credit assignments. Do your homework and read the book and the powerpoint and you'll get an A. All multiple choice tests and he uses questions from the quizzes you take on D2L. You also actually learn in there.
If you get the chance to take Teague for Psychology, please DO! He doesn't require attendance and the tests are verbatim to the study guides. Also,Teague is a really nice guy that is knowledgeable in his area of focus. Fun class that you'll learn a lot in!
Lots and lots of extra credit opportunities. Attendance was only taken a couple times for extra credit. We had 6 tests and homework assignments were extra credit. Lectures were pretty boring, right off the powerpoints.
By far, the best professor I've had at MTSU. He's extremely knowledgeable and he is always willing to help you and make sure you succeed. Just show up to class, read the chapters, take the quizzes, and come to class for the exams, and you're guaranteed a passing grade.
Professor Teague is by far the best professor I have taken so far. He is very easy and all the test questions come straight from the quizzes. He gives you 3 attempts on each quiz. He also provides extra credit just by doing the homework. The answers for homework are right inside the book and is fill in the blank. I would recommend.
Prof Teague is very down to earth and personable. This class consisted of weekly chapter reactions (only have to do 6) and written assignments; only 1 to 2 pages. As long as you pay attention in class and read/scan the book, you will pass. He let us collaborate on 2 exams. Plenty of grades to easily pass. Would definitely take him again.
The class is lecture heavy. Professor Teague goes through each chapter and gives great examples for every topic. The tests are 50 multiple choice, and the final is optional. there is also an online quiz for each chapter (the questions from these quizzes are also on the test) If you listen in class, write down the examples he gives, its an easy A
If you have a conversational class, it's a great class. He knows what he's talking about and provides many opportunities for extra credit.
took his class during the fall sem of covid. He didn't take attendance, I assume because of this. Gives lots of ops for extra credit. Test heavy but I didn't show up for most classes and made an A on every test. Takes an average of the class then uses that to grade test. I had like 72 people so the top 8 scores determined an A.
Great teacher. As long as you study tests are easy. Makes the class interesting.
Teague is an excellent PSY 1410 professor. He is helpful in and out of class. It may take him a few days to respond to emails, but he responds. He uses the textbook for homework and study guides. He also gives notes before the courses starts, so you are always prepared.
He is a good professor but his way of teaching made me feel sleepy cause he is quite. However, study and do every extra credit opportunity then you will get straight A. You can copy homework papers from your classmates to receive extra credit for each exam. Take all attempts on the quizzes cause many questions are the same on the exam.
Super nice professor. Took this as just a gen ed, but would take another one of his classes again. Very easy to pass this class if you take multiple attempts on the quizzes until you get them all right; the exam comes straight from that. Attendance was mandatory, but as long as you act like you're paying attention, he doesn't make it miserable.
Pretty good professor. I go to his in-person class. We have lectures, quizzes (D2L-based), and celebrations (in-person exams). The exams arent TOO hard because most of the questions/material are derived from the quizzes we had to take for each chapter. He engages w/ students & the lectures arent really boring. I recommend him
His class isn't really hard as long as you pay attention to the material. you get to take his quiz up to 4 times and he'll take the highest score. most test questions were from the quizzes and he was a nice teacher overall. Although, his lectures were pretty boring.
Solid online class, easy A. Can't really go wrong! The textbook is pretty expensive (but necessary for the exams). He's pretty funny - some of the exam questions defintely got me to laugh.
Dr. Teague is a good teacher. Lectures are kind of boring since he primarily relies on PowerPoint. Homework is extra credit. Make sure to study for the tests by looking over questions from the quizzes.
super easy A, bunch of extra credit, attendance being one of them, quizzes are the exams so make sure to take the quiz as many times as you can. def recommend for an easy gen ed
Easy class. He takes attendance randomly and the day you finish a unit, the next class meet will be a test. The test questions and answers are literally in the quizzes you take so pay attention to that. Go to class on days he'd expect the class to not show up (before breaks). He's a good professor and know what he's talking about. I recommend!
Dr. Teague is super chill and really easy to talk to. Sometimes lectures can be boring but he makes the exams with questions from the study guide and the quizzes, so as long as you know your terms and take all of the quizzes you will get good grades. Super easy course and really cool professor, 10/10 would take again!!
The class is repetitive, but everything is on the slides and a lot of people thought the tests were still harder. Tests are very vocab listen and remember type, but he curves them and that usually offsets how hard they are. Do hw for extra credit, it helps. He was easy to reach outside of class, not really a personable guy so ehh.
He is a great psy teachers! The exams are easy because they are just like the quizzes on D2L. Each chapter has 1 quiz with 10 questions and you get 4 chances. Super easy class if you just want to get out of the way for gen ed requirements.
I almost never attended class, and only went for the exams and ive passed everything with flying colors. Super easy class, the exams are the quiz questions so make sure you study that/quizlet sets.
Dr. Teague is awesome, his lectures and tests go hand-in-hand. I only ran into a few issues with things on the test not being in my notes. As long as you take good notes, do the homework pages, and study vocab you should pass with ease!
YIKES. Do not take him over the summer. Many of the students missed work due to deadlines being moved. Pretty annoying to be bothered this much as a Gen Ed class. Couple of quizzes, discussion posts with 5 responses, tests are 50 questions long.
Mr. Teague's class was great! It wasn't too difficult and it was easy to follow. I also enjoyed the videos he provided us with each chapter. As some of the reviews say, there was a technical hiccup durning this semester but in my opinion it was handled smoothly and didn't really effect me. Overall great, simple class and a good teacher.
He is truly an amazing professor. Very well spoken & passionate about his teachings. The class is dependent on the quizzes & exams but he prepares well. Gives a lot of extra credit as well.
His class is easy if you show up and take notes. He really only takes attendance a few times but its harder to pass if you dont show up. Most quizzes online, few in person. He gives ample extra credit and no homework.
Dr T has been my favorite professor at MTSU. He has such a caring spirit! Attendance is extra credit (he takes attendance couple times during the semester). Exams come straight from the chapter quizzes. Study on quizlet and you'll do fine! He posts all lecture PowerPoints as well. Lots of extra credit opportunities too. I LOVE DR T!!!!!
During the summer, Teague was behind and did not provide the content we needed. When we contacted him, he approached us with a detached tone. Luckily, the class was easy, but he could have been responsible, considerate, and prepared.
He had 3 tests 50 questions each. It Is very easy as long as you read the textbook and come to class. He also provides study guides.
Really good prof, he teaches his class extremely well, only problem i see is that he might fast foward through a topic that will be on your exam, But his notes are still accesable online.
Funny professor. Kind as well. His tests are average but heavy graded. You will have hw but its extra credit. Overall I liked the class but be ready to put in some effort.
This course isn't exceptionally difficult, but I have quite a few complaints. He never responded to my emails. Also, more importantly, I feel there was a disconnect between the material in the lectures and quizzes/tests. Don't bother studying notes, you're better off studying quiz questions with other people if you have other people.
He had a clear grading system. As long as you followed the syllabus & show up, you get an A.
TAKE COREY TEAGUE!! He's an absolute amazing professor and person. He's extremely caring, fair, and his exams are easy if you pay attention in lecture and study his notes. He is very motivational, and makes it abundantly clear he cares for each of his students. He gives multiple opportunities to get extra credit points and curves exams. Amazing!
Only get the textbook if you plan on doing homework for extra credit. Only takes attendance a couple times also for extra credit. Quizzes are all online and the exams use the exact same questions so study them carefully. I played Roblox in that class almost every day but with easy exams and lots of extra credit opportunities, very easy to pass
He is a good guy, gives very informative lectures. It was very hard to intake a lot of information, fortunately Dr.Teague curves his exams. All 6 of them basically base your grade off how well everyone else does. If the highest grade is a 79 a 79 is a A. Homework is extra credit. Do 8 Hours of SONA!
As a senior, this class was the worst college experience of my degree. Professor Teague was completely checked out and had a TA doing basically everything. Rubrics were changed midway through the semester, communication was nonexistent, and the wrong final grade was assigned. I ended up getting an A, but only because I had the TA recheck everything
favorite professor I've had so far. he makes everything make sense, his syllabus is very clear, exams come straight from quizzes, multiple attempts on quizzes, homework that's actually helpful fro exams, and he makes it clear what you need to know for the exam. he calls exams celebrations lol. and he always wears cute bowties. take his class.
Most definitely one of my favorite professors! Very clear on what's going on. We don't really use the textbook unless you're doing the homework for extra credit. Before every exam, he gives you 2 quizzes for practice and the exam questions are pulled straight from the quizzes. Always dripped out in a new tie so +1 for that. Very obvious he cares!:)
He is a very easy professor and doesn't overload you with a bunch of work. As long as you study for the quizzes and exams and do the homework, you'll make a good grade in the class
He is a good man and a good professor, but when taking the PSY 4110 course, note this: He speaks quietly; you WILL have two papers due each week, and textbook, attendance, participation are mandatory; he makes his GA grade everything, does nothing himself; prep for little explanation on anything, and to not get grades back for a while. Good luck :)
The questions on the quizzes are almost always on the test. He allows you to retake the quiz four times.
Very nice and engages in conversations. We are well prepared for the tests. He makes the class enjoyable.
I would totally recommend this class for psych and non psych majors! He engages in conversation with students going deeper into topics, making them easier to understand. You have 2 quizzes and a test over every chapter and you have 4 chances to take the quiz and he takes your best grade. He very well prepares you for every test!
Professor Teague is an amazing professor but the tests are hard. They're all scenarios and difficult to remember most of the terms. He reads the things off the slides but you'll learn.
He accused me of cheating the very first exam when I sit front row looking at a blank whiteboard. He reads off of PowerPoints, so even if you don't go to the class, you'll be fine. The quizzes and exam questions are basically the same. The class content I like, just not him. If you even look up at all for testing, I don't recommend him.
This was a super easy class. The professor is great. You should defiantly take the class for the gen ed credit. All the tests are 50 question multiple choice and basically the same thing as the quizzes. Attendance is not mandatory.
Easiest class I have ever taken.
Professor Teague is an amazing and respectful professor and will give you directions. If you do not understand the, just simply ask them after class or through email and he will give you an appropriate response.
One of the best professors I've had. He makes the material super clear and gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. I found Unstuckstudy really helpful for quiz and exam prep. Overall, an easy A if you put in the work.
I loved his class. He has philosophic discussions based on ethics in mental health, and encourages everyone to participate. He even encourages disagreement as long as we are willing to be professional and fully listen to everyone's opinion.
I liked him, but his style of lecturing was brutal to sit through. He talks very slow and seems like he comes to class unprepared with what he is going to be teaching that day. There's a lot of silent pauses while he figures out what's next. He is also hard to get in contact with. I liked the material and what he had to say it was just very slow.
He comes to class unprepared and does not know what he his talking about most of the time. He is very quiet, even when sitting in front of him. He uses a TA that does everything for him, so don't expect any grades until literally the end of the semester. You won't know whether you're passing or failing. (hoping things are better at the end tho)
Dr. Teague has been one of my favorites so far. I took him for an elective credit, and I enjoyed it. The class was challenging for me, but he was not a hard professor. He lets you take quizzes four times, and there is homework, but it is extra credit if you do it. I am not a psych major, but if he taught any of my major courses, I would take him.
I didn't really care for him because when he lectures you can barely hear him and I feel like I didn't do good on his tests because of it. He isn't a horrible professor but you definitely have to go back to the notes later on and take notes on them because it is very hard to hear what he has to say. Tests are also super hard in my opinion.
