All i have to say is thank god etsu lets you drop classes. Glad i never have to see robe again and listen to her useless lectures.

She is a nice person, but her teaching methods are a bit strange. I found it very hard to understand what she was trying to teach. She would go off subject about completely useless things and confuse the entire class. I'd advise people to avoid taking her.

I found it difficult to pay attention in class because she would often write examples behind the podium or in simply difficult to view areas. Most of what I have learned in this has been self-taught from the quizzes and book. My main complaint is that I couldn't learn from my mistakes on the tests because they were never marked on the scan trons.

First of all Prof. Robe is not helpful at all. When you ask questions she looks at you like you are stupid. She faces the board half the time so there is barely any eye contact. Her tests are hard!! She always assumes you're on your phone if you aren't looking directly at her and if you have a short attention span and can't pay attention, she won't help you. You learn how to use computer software to solve problems but you can't use the software of the tests to answer the same questions. Don't take this class.

I can't believe that I didn't trust the reviews here. Professor gives vague, theoretical lectures and few examples and then assigns a bunch of homework over the material. Despite the extreme amount of studying I did outside of class, I still failed to grasp the material well enough to do well on her disproportionately difficult tests.

Corlis Robe is the worst professor I have ever had. She gets lost in her own lessons, teaches to the board, and doesn't understand her own questions. She is also very quick to make you feel stupid if you do not understand her confusing lectures and lecture notes which normally include typos. Will need textbook to teach yourself material.

Take a look at the other reviews on here. The majority are accurate. If you need to take her Math 1530 class, take it during a semester that will allow you to devote time throughout the week to study. Her lectures on the material just dont cut it. She seems like a nice person and is mostly friendly, but shes just not a very talented educator.

She is impossible to actually pay attention to. Her voice is so monotone and she lacks any kind of enthusiasm for literally anything. Most of the time I sat in class and just took notes directly from the textbook and did the Sapling Learning to teach myself.

You have to search D2L for hidden assignments daily and teach yourself all the material. This is the second time Ive taken this class and I did better the first time. Her lectures are just hard to follow and theres only a few assignments that carry weight.

I was taking her class, I dropped it. My grade was in the 40s. She did not teach well over zoom and she was an online teacher before covid. D2l was very unorganized and couldn't find assignments that were due, she also did not tell you that they were due. She does not do notes very well, good luck teaching yourself or having to take it again.

I really think Prof. Robe would be an ok teacher in a class setting. This year she tried to teach an online class and it was a dumpster fire. She drones on and on and will give you hours of lecture plus expecting a lot of time spent on out of class work. If you get behind it's over for you.

The class is based off of quizzes and test. Her lectures are pre recorded and are 2 to 4 hours long with multiple parts. There is no assigned homework to help balance your grade. Just take someone else

My experience with Robe was rather negative, but no where near as horrid as some of my classmates who even almost had their grade lowered because of an arguement.

The only reason I am passing this class is because I read and re-read the syllabus looking for extra credit options. If you don't drop her, make sure you do the same. Her lectures are just for you to ask her questions, she doesn't teach and she's high key a smart-mouth.

Expect to be doing quizzes at least twice a week without them being announced. You will have to attend class for attendance but beyond that, class time is a waste unless you have tons of questions (go to CFAA its better). I dont recommend watching her recorded videos use the textbook instead and online help.

Unless you can teach an entire statistics class to yourself, do not take this course with Robe. She assigns extremely long online lectures to be watched outside of class, while wasting all of our in class time on one question asked by a student. Professor Robe made my statistics class absolutely unbearable. She never explained anything in class and made you watch one to two hour lectures before class and then she would go over around one question during class. Her class is not very enjoyable. I would highly recommend avoiding this professor. I've always been good at math and I feel bad for the people who aren't; her lectures are confusing. Be ready to do nothing in class but spend an hour going over 3 problems. Ask questions about simple algebra 1 to avoid a "pop quiz." Try your best to avoid her.

This teacher is one of the most condescending people I've ever met. She demands respect only to treat you like a child by counting you absent if she catches you on your phone. She also expects you to listen to 2 to 4 hour lectures when you can honestly get the info from the textbook in an hour max. Avoid this teacher at all costs she is the worst.

This teacher is one of the worst I've experienced in college so far. She teaches like you're still in high school and like she's fulfilling a word count for an essay. Absolutely abysmal at teaching. She goes into so much depth about how to solve problems but she makes absolutely no sense when it comes time to actually use her application of math. Save your tuition and AVOID her at all costs.

I had her for Prob & Stats. Her lectures were extremely long and hard to follow. After wasting a few weeks on trying to take notes through her lecture videos (at 2x speed for efficiency) I realized I was better off just using the book and teaching myself. "Tough luck" attitude when it came to student circumstances affecting course participation.

Professor Robe is not very personable. Judging from my one week in her online Stats course, she seemed very impatient and unapproachable. Her D2L page was jammed tight with so much information that I got overwhelmed quite quickly. She didn't seem to care about the course or the students in it.

As a professor in a high level math class, you cannot just do one example for the entirety of class every class and expect students to be able to do any possible variation of that on the homework or exam. Many chapters main points were not made clear, as well as many important aspects of certain techniques were not clarified. DO NOT TAKE HER.

She would rather you get a tutor and teach yourself through youtube If you need help with how to use your calculator, too bad she won't help because "we have minitab." If you need help on something, too bad "read the textbook." Just don't take her.

Worst professor ever!!!!!!! Final is comprehensive worth 30% of grade and the remainder of the exams are worth 50%. The exams are not at all similar to the study guides she claims to be accurate depictions. Homework and quizzes are worth 20% no point in doing them they're so difficult you will spend days to weeks on each assignment.

Did not really like how she taught as she speaks in a constant question. Plus she would ramble about things not related to the class and try and tie it into what she's teaching which never works. If you're someone with hearing problems with tone, don't take her cause she doesn't differ in tone on voice and it constantly sounds degrading.

Every time I go to this class, the lecture is so long and dreadful. It is so hard to focus and genuinely hard to understand anything she tries to teach. She is good about responding to emails, but not answering your questions. If you want to understand stats, take it with another professor, with Robe you will be teaching yourself.
