Love her as a person, but as a teacher not so much. She knows her material, but does not present it very well. She tells you to read the chapters and study the "notes" she gives in class, but the test questions are worded to where it is hard to comprehend. Hardest class/teacher I've taken so far.

OMG this was the worst class I have ever taken. I liked her the first few days of class and then it went downhill from there. Her tests are extremely hard and has very few questions pertaining to the book or class notes. She is not very helpful at all and grades very, very hard. Don't take her unless you want to fail.

I would never, ever, ever take her again. This was the hardest class I have ever taken. I studied my butt off for every single test and made nothing higher than a C.THe projects are the very easy but the tests are hard to understand.

She is a nice person but is a horrible professor. She has a very ineffective teaching style. She rambles and let other people in the class talk half the class period about personal experiences. The exams are absolutely ridiculous. The exams are worded in a way that is very hard to comprehend and do not come from lectures. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

First project turned in docked 24% simply because one of the many questions asked was answered indirectly. If you are ok with getting average grades for good/hard work then go for her. If you want to be successful in college avoid her at all costs. Nothing she lectures on applies to the assignments or tests. This is a freshman class... really?

The test are ridiculous in her class.She's the type of person she can't teach you have to teach yourself.To pass her test read the book and make a study guide.She gives like 5 chapters per test.The study guide you make is like 8 pages a chapter to study.Her class is like a free therapy session.Feel free to spill your guts,she eats that up!!!

This class was very difficult. The tests were extremely hard, and had a lot of material on them that was not covered in class.

Impossible. You are lucky to get a D on all your quizzes and homework. I would spend days preparing and the best grade I have gotten on a quiz yet has been a D. Study material is useless and has nothing to do with quizzes. Expectations are to high. Should NOT be a teacher. I have learned so much and will have an F to show for it.

Horrible Class! i am an A student and the only class i am failing is hers! nothing she says in class is on the test so be ready to ready like 5 chapters for each test! i studied, went to tutoring, and talked to her and she is no help! i recommend a different teacher!

She is terrible. When writing papers for her class, I would recommend using the vocabulary of a small child, otherwise you will be docked points for not putting a source in for your own words. If you point out that she took points off incorrectly, she won't change your grade even if she does acknowledge that she was wrong. Avoid her at all costs.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER WHATEVER YOU DO!! She is the worst teacher I have ever had. She unfairly grades, her tests are ridiculously hard, and her teaching style is very confusing and unorganized. Attendance is mandatory, but you learn nothing from class. You're better off reading the book. I repeat: DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. TEACHER.

Beware of this teacher! She is not helpful and she finds any reason to take away points on assignments. I noticed on my last quiz I had, many of the questions I got wrong were actually write and had to email her. I wish I looked at my previous quizzes as well. The tests are every week 50 questions with only 60 minutes.

She's very rough. I studied the book and lectures, neither of which prepared me for the exams.

She is a very tough grader. She has 4 exams and each exam is over 3-4 chapters. Also, these exams are nothing to do with what you read in the book or her notes; the questions are strictly scenarios and you pick which answer matches the scenario. If you end up taking her I suggest studying in the Mark's building and going to the tutoring sessions.

This professor even makes an APSU1000 class difficult. She grades really harshly and she will interrupt class to talk to a student in the hallway about their behavior . Are we elementary school or? AVOID AT ALL COSTS. She makes me regret college.

Professor Mabry is a very difficult professor. She seems to make passing as difficult as possible; furthermore, if you have a question or concern it's nearly impossible to get a clear answer from her. I almost regret going to Austin Peay because of her class. Nearly every student in my class is close to failing. Steer clear of Mabry if possible!

DO NOT TAKE HER. She made one of the easiest classes the most work heavy and difficult! She will force you to leave class if you have your cell phone out. You cannot get a straight answer out of her and she jumps down your throats when you ask her something. She seems super nice but is very mean and rude.

I dropped the class with a W, after realizing that it's not possible to make an A in the class. Small projects in that class will ruin you. She gives 10 question quizzes, and they are not easy. So if you miss 2 out of 10 you have a C. It's almost impossible to recover from after getting 4 C's on all of her quizzes because I missed 2 questions.

She does not care about any of her students. She grades very hard for no reason. Even if you follow the rubric for her assignments, you can still make a bad grade. She is very rude and does not care about helping you in the class. This should be an easy class; however, she makes it VERY difficult for no reason. She WILL mess up your GPA.

DO NOT TAKE!!! what this professor teaches in class is completely different on the test. She will say she is available for help but gives you very vague information when you ask which is no help. There is only 4 test so if you don't do good on one you're done. DOES NOT OFFER EXTRA CREDIT even though she claims to. Class avg is 71% BEWARE !!!!

She likes to pretend that she has any sort of practicing knowledge of being a psychologist but she holds an Ed.D and pretends to care about students but will snap on someone and then crack a bad joke and wonder why no one is laughing. As a teacher, she makes tests different from her slides and textbook, and wont share slides and will be rude.

Ms. Mabry may be the worst professor I have ever taken in my time here. She skips the important parts of chapters, provides an E-textbook but bans any and all electronic from class, and will publicly embarrass a student if they do something she dislikes. She has a horrible attitude and actually threw my test down at me after asking her a question.

She is difficult. If you are trying to keep your A's, DO NOT TAKE MABRY! All of her powerpoints are useless information and if you ask her for help, she doesn't assist you! She claims that her information on the test comes from the book, but the information is completely different. She's very sarcastic and rude! Literally took notes for nothing.

Do not take this professor! She's extremely rude and treats the students bad. She makes rude remarks about the students during class and does not test over what she teaches. She will take off points on your essay if you don't use the synonym she preferred, as if we can read her mind. Don't take her if you want to learn and keep your grades up.

Ms.Mabry had an unpleasant energy about her. This is the first instructor I've had in my entire college career that did not allow phones or laptops in the class. It felt like we were in middle school. During class, you will learn more about your classmates opinions than any of the actual course work. Want to pass? I would say mooch or pray.

I would not take Psychology 1030 with Mabry again because she is very rude and does not help other students but her favorites. She loves to make smart comments about unnecessary things, I tried to ask her questions about extra credit and she totally avoided it! If your taking her study hard but also be ready for her obnoxious behavior.

I took her in my Freshman year of college. This class is extemely lecture heavy, and somethings on the test is only in the textbook. Though if you take her class, READ HER POWERPOINTS BEFORE THE TEST!!! This will allow you to at least pass her class with a B if you have a good memory. I attempted to leave this class, but time was running out.

Dr.Mabry will not let you use any electronics in her class, not even to take notes. She will not provide her powerpoints. She will lecture off her powerpoints but tell you to only study the book. She yells at students for leaving the class to answer phone calls. She does not provide any study tools. Save your GPA and take a different professor.

I do not recommend taking her at all. All she does is go over PowerPoints and make us take notes. She never provides the powerpoints; for exams, she tells us to read off the textbook only. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL.
