Dr. DiCarlo was an amazing teacher! I can not say enough nice things about him. He makes everything so easy to understand. His labs are easy and the work load isn't over the top. He's is very helpful and when you need it. I used to hate Chem and I was horrible at it in high school. I passed his class with an A.Take his class if you can!

I thought this class was going to be very hard cause it's chemistry, but it turned out to be very easy!! He's an easy grader and his tests only 10 short answer questions covering the chapters. There are about 12 quizzes but just study before you come to class and 1 3-4 page paper. Labs are awesome and fun! Easy chem teacher, take him.

REVIEW: SUMMER CLASS - Overall, I'd give the experience a 9 out of 10. Dr. DiCarlo will do anything he can to help you understand the material. There is a lot of material, however, and work can pile up if you don't stay on task. That said, Dr. DiCarlo was the best professor I had at COD in the 5 classes I took. This is the same professor from GVSU.

I took Chem 1105 over the chilly 2014 summer. Dr. Dicarlo is an awesome professor, he is truly there for the students education not a paycheck. He teaches a "flipped" class meaning there is a lot of work outside of class (1 hour videos and homework quizzes), so you can't expect to not do homework and pass. He is a very nice guy, kind of nerdy ha
