Cory attempts to make one of the more difficult and boring classes fun for everyone in the class. This technique helps one pay attention to the subject matter. At times there has been difficulty in this task as 2400 is one of the more challenging classes to to keep people awake in.

She is the best, easiest, funniest teacher at kwantlen. Take her if you can. MC sooo easy. If you read the text and attend class you are pretty much guaranteed a B. Does not give short answer Q's in advance but usually gives hints throught lectures. A definite must take!!!

Cory is a great person as well as a great prof. she doesn't leave her personality at home like a lot of other profs. do. I definitely recommend taking her for any course and I hope to be able to take a course with her again.

there's lots to remember in this class but she made it really interesting and fun! used examples from her own life to help you understand concepts. tests are MC and gave short answer q's ahead of time! NO FINAL, no essays, just a scrapbook.. SO helpful and really funny.. TAKE HER for this class!!!

GUYS YOU MUST TAKE THIS COURSE! Dr. Pedersen is knowledgeable and fun. She relates complicated concepts into everyday life situations. Infancy is a MUST FOR EVERY GUY. At some point if you plan to have kids, and want to understand what your wife/girlfriend is going through, and want to know how to help her and be a better father, this course is it!

Okay, if anyone tells you that Cory's classes are easy, they are LYING. This class was super fun and super interesting but you better be prepared to work for your grade. Cory is comical. She uses lots of interesting materials,personal stories, + shares v honestly about her life + weaknesses. The course is super easy. Lots of reading and mini assignments. Exams are easy too. This is a must take course. FUN!!!

This is the best class I had last semester! All you have to do is print off the notes online and read the chapters in the text. And there is no final!!! She tells a lot of stories to keep you interested which I enjoyed :) Best teacher at Kwantlen!

LOVED this course and just LOVE the prof. She is so honest and sincere. Could she make childbirth seem any funnier? This was one of the most personally fulfilling courses I've ever taken.

Amazing Prof! Funny, scares you with the military background but turns out to be an awesome class. Read text, participate in class discussions, ask questions and you'll do fine. Tests are easy all MC. Fun class I cant wait to take her again! Shes funny to! Good stories of her family, great way of teaching makes it fun and worth while :)

Took her Human Sexuality class and I highly recommend to take it with her. She makes every lecture so fun and entertaining. She has so many stories and is so knowledgable about this topic. She gives you the short answer questions before the midterms, super helpful.

I took her Spring 2011 and she was the best. Her powerpoints and presentations are all the answers for the quizzes, midterm and final. The final wasn't even the whole this but rather the last chapter. She is a fair marker but makes the class super interesting. She is very outgoing and gives a great interaction with the class. I really hope she teaches psyc1200 this spring sem and I hope I can get a spot for it. She is the best and no other prof can beat her >x)

Cory is an awesome instructor. YES, she has very high expectations, but she should! This is university, not high-school. Those who say she doesn't make expectations for writing clear obviously did NOT read the detailed course outlines and handouts. Or suck at writing and received a bad grade. She even posts examples of good papers online!

GREAT stats prof. I took stats with Corey Fall 2011 semester & she actually made that class enjoyable. Her lectures were super clear & she was very helpful. You need to stay on top of things and attending class regularly is a must. Tests were very fair and I thought the notes and textbook examples really helped when I didn't understand something!

She is really passionate about psychology and is really good at explaining topics clearly. I would highly recommend taking any of her course. When it comes to APA she has super high standards, which isn't really that big of a deal as long as you know what you're doing.

Dr. Pederson was AMAZING! She made taking a Statistics course very enjoyable and I hate math. Not only is she hilarious, but she makes things incredibly easy and interesting to follow. Her tests are extremely fair as long as you show up and follow along. She has very thorough notes and lets you bring a formula sheet to the tests. Take her class!

I loved Human Sexuality and Corey Pedersen!! This course changed my life and this prof made me a better human being. She is passionate about the material, and about diversity, tolerance, and human rights. This course is a must for everyone and should be mandatory for a better life.

Very enthusiastic, funny, kind, I loved her. Course requirements were extremely simple; 4 online assignments that allow you 3 tries and take your best mark, so I got 100% on all 4 assignments, and 4 reasonable exams that are weighted equally. I hope to take one of her classes again, somehow she made statistics a class I enjoyed going to.

By far my favourite Psychology teacher. Cory is hilarious and makes every single lecture interesting. I've taken her class three times now (sexuality, adolescence, and infancy) and I'll be taking more. Her tests are hard but she makes it worth the hard work. If you love Psychology, I absolutely recommend her

She is very funny and her class is very engaging. I enjoyed each of her lectures. Would definitely recommend to anyone. We had 3 papers, and two exams (multiple choice and 1 long answer). One thing though is that she is very tough with APA guidelines. Took off marks for every misplaced comma.

I took intro Psych with her at Douglas. She is an awesome teacher who loves the subject which makes for insightful lectures. Gives access to her slide lectures. Can be done without the textbook. Labs were very fun. She is a great prof and loves participation. Her examples are great in reinforcing the material, make note of things she does on boards

I took math11 three times in high school, and I got an A in stats. That's how good Cory is. To say that I was nervous for this course would be an understatement. But Cory made the coursework engaging and encouraged practice. She explains things in a very logical way. I would 100% take a course with her again. Also, she's the chair of the psyc dept.

Honestly, Cory is tough but amazing. A good grade is definitely earned, but her lectures are so phenomenal that I showed up eager to learn and was thoroughly engaged by the material she provided for assignments. I finished this term with a good grade and actually learned something.

Im one of those people that HATED math in high school but I ended up with an A in Corys stats class. She explains every step on each formula the best she could and made sure everyone understood. And she gives questions to work on half way through class to make sure everythings crystal clear to you and if its still not clear, she WILL help you!

Cory is one of the best profs I have had. Her class isnt an easy A by any means and marks papers a little tough but she is so knowledgeable and her lectures are so interesting. She is also hilarious!

Cory Pederson has been a great professor for online asynchronous Stats 3300. She makes it as fun as possible and provides very clear instructions on how to do problems through her weekly lecture videos that you can watch anytime. This course was all assignment based with 2 small quizzes. You have to submit work on time and pace yourself!

Dr. Pedersen is a real gem. Her Human Sexuality course was really amazing! The lectures are engaging and the information is soooo relevant. Class consisted of two exams, two papers, discussion posts, and journal posts. This class will make you smarter about sex and sexuality.

Cory provided weekly lecture videos that were very helpful and detailed (I barely read the textbook but the homework is time consuming). She is willing to answer questions as long as they are not directly about the assignments she has given. Class consisted of 2 quizzes (5% each), 6 assignments (10% each), and 2 research problem sets (15% each).

This was a hard course in online format, but Cory was excellent. She was very accommodating and helpful, despite MANY difficult students. I'm confused by posts calling her aggressive. Definitely not my experience. She spent so much extra time going over material, provided extensions, and was great answering questions/emails (often giving hints).

This course was excellent. Incredibly relevant and useful material. The prof was wonderful. Very approachable, funny, and incredibly helpful. She gave very clear grading criteria with rubrics attached to every assignment so there were no surprises. Gave such great praise on my last paper, I was floating on cloud 9 for a week! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Dr. Pedersen. Having her for Human sexuality she brought a blend of humour and knowledge. She's always open to questions even if they seemed like common sense. We were marked on two exams and 2 short papers. Recommended keep up with your readings and your supplemental readings because the exam questions are quite difficult.

Test had around 90 MC questions and 1 long answer. Almost impossible to study for due to the range of material covered. Weekly work ranged from 100-200 pages plus videos plus the lecture. All in all, an insane amount of work for a non required course. She's lively and nice. GL taking her course if you work or take night school.

A lot of students may find her to be brash, rude or uncaring, but she simply expects the students to behave like adults and not waste their time in class if they aren't there to learn. Stats was extremely difficult but she is an excellent teacher with plenty of class time to work on problems. Tests were long and hard. Overall would take her again.

Awesome stats teacher. Content is difficult but she was good at explaining it and will help you understand if you tell her you're not getting it. Your grade is based on 3 mindtap homework assignments and 3 tests divided in the semester. Pay attention in class and follow along with the note sheet (the sheet is very helpful) and you should do fine.

I've taken many of her courses because I genuinely enjoy her lectures and she's a very funny person. That being said, you definitely gotta stay on top of your readings and lectures because her exams can be difficult and she is a bit of a tough grader, specially on papers. She's got high expectations for her students, and she makes this clear!

Taking Cory's class was a life changing experience. Clear guidlines and all Q&A's are clearly punlished in the course syllabus. She is caring and warm and totally caring of mental health. I agree she is a touch marker what made me a better student.

Cory is a tough but fair professor who really cares about her students' success. Her classes are challenging but engaging, and the workload is manageable with dedication. Using Unstuck study alongside the textbook and lectures helped me stay on top of the material.

This class was tough, no doubt. Math is hard for me at the best of times. But Cory was excellent teaching a hard subject. She knows stats and research and knows what we need to learn to succeed going forward. I learned a lot in this class and can't imagine anyone doing a better job. I can't believe i liked it.

Amazing. I love the way she creates notes for us to work off. Extremely helpful & I've never had a prof do this before. Always took the time to answer questions, even drawing on the board to make it more clear. Kept us entertained and focused for the whole 3 hours & I didn't even notice the time. I wish Cory taught every single one of my classes. She's tough, but more than fair. Her lectures are engaging, reverent, and hilarious. Even if you think you don't care about the topic, you do once she is done presenting. 100/10. Big grade booster, as she gives lots of opportunities to succeed and clear expectations.

Cory is an amazing professor. Her teaching is relevent to every aspect of life, she changes the way you think about everything, I feel a boost to my critical thinking just from listening to her. It is an easy course to pass and a huge grade booster if you care. She makes you care, because what she teaches effects you and everyone around you.

I still think about Dr. Pedersen (in a "wow I want to be like her when I grow up kinda way") and she has come up in my conversations several times. She's an amazing professor and doesn't take anyone's BS (which some hate). The content she teaches is also so interesting and she is clearly very educated in what she does. Truly an inspiration!

I admire what she does and her passion for certain topics. She openly talks about all kinds of subjects and makes her lectures engaging (+ funny). Her grading is hard but it pushes you to do your absolute best and is so rewarding if done well. Dr. Pedersen is amazing and I associate her teaching with the best course experiences at KPU.

I took statistics with Cory Pedersen last spring. She's a phenomenal professor. Im math phobic and still multiply using my fingers. And so does she! Admits this right off and puts everyone at ease. Funny, smart, tough but fair. I'll take classes with her again. Plus, just saw her on a Pretty Basic podcast. Whaaaaat?!

This class was difficult and it's not for everyone but upper level statistics is hard for a reason. Dr. Pedersen is just so amazing. She teaches a tough subject so incredibly well.
