Overall good teacher. Makes a dry subject interesting and even fun. I enjoyed and learned in his class.

Wonderful professor!I have never understood science until I had him.He's very clear and uses stories to compare the info.This helped in remembering the concept.I took the Webct class and if you come to class prepared w/the notes, the info becomes clear.

Inspiring,dynamic,my favourite professor in campus! Dr. Colombo doesn't teach for tests, he teaches for life. His methods are anything but conventional, the material presented is updated with clear applications to the medical field.If you really want to learn, he is the only one to take in campus.

His tests are really hard!!!

Extremely thorough to the point of overkill. Leaves out nothing. As intense as any course offered at a four year university. Be prepared to devote a lot of time and energy to whatever class you take with him.

Tests are straight from his online notes. He makes you think. Dr. C. grades on a curve, that's why he gives you a test w/160 q's and then grades the test based on 135 or so q's. Always available via WebCT or office hours. If you study his notes, you will do well.

Manages to cover a plethora of material. Tests are generally hard but vary in difficulty. Does a disservice to students by publishing notes and using them for testing. I haven't had to read the book once, which is a shame cause the book is very good.

Dr. Colombo is among the best and most dedicated professors I have encountered. His lectures are interesting and clear, he is always very well prepared, he keeps up to date with all the latest findings, and he makes himself very accessible to his students. I really appreciate the great effort he puts into teaching.

Awesome teacher who really cares about his students learning. Always available to anyone who needs him. Stop by for coffee in the morning! I agree that his tests are not easy but he gives you all the resources you will need - it is up to you! Class lectures are hilarious - he has a wicked sense of humor. Don't bother taking if you are not serious.

Great Professor, I highly recommend. He has a very different personality which makes for intersting classes. He is always there for extra help and if you ever do go he will try and feed you. Stick to the online notes, don't even bother buying the book unless you need extra help. Make use of the SI if there is one.

TOO POLITICAL. VERY OFFENSIVE. IF YOU ARE A SENSITIVE CHRISTIAN, DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He is a nice guy, dont get me wrong, but he crosses the line A LOT. Class is doable, notes are EXCELLENT, but questions on tests can be confusing because of the wording. Curving helps a lot though.

Dr. Colombo is an extremely dedicated and accessible professor. His class isn't easy but his lectures are informative and interesting and he's very willing to help students outside of class. If you want to do well and put in the effort, you'll be fine. PS: If you are an easily offended Christian or Republican, maybe this isn't the class for you.

He teaches well, but it's alot of work. I can't learn well the way he teaches. If you take this class be ready to work. He will work with you in any way possible to make you undeerstand. Study everything he gloss over not the stuff he spends lots of time on, and you'll be alright.

Be prepared to study and study hard. His notes are online and he posts recordings of his lectures online also, he has student instructors that will tutor you before the class. If you study his notes you should have no problems passing the class. This class is set up for passing as long as you put in the effort. I am taking this Prof. for BSC 1086.

Syllabus and notes are very clear. He teaches responsibilty as a student, study, commit to the obligation of taking the class and by all means be prepared. No room for senseless excuses of why one can't grasp the concepts for A&P

He knows his stuff, he just can't get it out clearly enough to help you. Plan on reading his ridiculous notes.

Colombo is sexy!

Colombo is a great teacher who gives you plenty of examples and stories that help you remember the material. His lectures are available online at any time so it is really great. Anatomy is really hard, but his teaching is really great.

He is what every woman wants in a man! He's smart, funny, interesting, oooooh! What a stud! And he gives us free coffee and cheerios to stay awake in his class. El es muy guapo!

I am in his A+P 1 class. If you study and look over the notes at least once every night. you should be fine. just study and know what you are talking about and u will be fine!!!

COLOMBO IS A GREAT TEACHER- DO THE WORK AND YOU WILL SUCCEED... He is HOT! Wow, he's so gorgeous, sometimes I day dream about him while he's teaching, it's hard to focus on Anatomy when I'm thinking about ...... yeah! He's HOT!

Ok, so heres the deal on grading and he wont tell you any of this...tests are tough and cumulative. 88-100 is an A 78-87 is a B 68-77 is a C 58-67 is a D. He does round...my final grade was 77.6%(B) His first two tests have a very small curve of 1-3pts. The last 3 will have 150 or so questions and a 10-20pt curve. You can handle it!

If you put in the study time, getting an A is definitely possible. He may come across as hard at first, but if you show effort he will work with you. I would definitely recommend this class -- just make sure you study his lecture notes and you will do fine.

First week of classes and already a dynamic professor. Cares a lot about his students; goes out of his way to be of assistance; no axe to grind; supportive and helpful. No complaints to this date.

Not only is he the greatest prof in the region, because of his high intellect, unfortunately he makes too many enemies with his colleagues, and students who hate to work, work and than more work. You want to go places, succeed, take him; you want to be a failure, take the detractors.

He is the best! He is always available to help you with warm cup of coffee and a big hug! I will miss him, but never forget him! If you want to learn take his class. Many times he carried on his pocket my recorder... He is so helpful!

Funny, hillarious, down to earth and informative. Knows the subject matter; up to date with current topics; contraversial; makes you think. What else can you ask for, a 'free grade', not with him.

I took his online class and all you have to do is study his notes really well. Lots of notes to print up but it's worth it because you never have to read the text. Listen to his streaming lectures too, they're helpful and entertaining too! He curves every test so you may get 110 questions but it's only marked out of 100! Easy A!

Can any one student ask for more??? DrC knows what he wants for the students, pushes them to excel and does not hold back any punches to make sure that the student get the message. If you are a preprofessional, you will enjoy his demands, if you are a 'wannabe, but a failure' you make all kind of accusation of the professor. He is the best, & 'HOT'

I am in A&P 2 and i looved Columo. I took him for A&P 1 as well.I have learnt soo much. Yess you do have to study very hard and know everything in his notes but I think it is definately worth it and will help in the future

He is extremely helpful and very funny, not a boring class at all.Now for the bad every test is cummulative and hard. our second test was 116 questions and you only get 75 min. if you are a serious student he is the teacher for you. If your just trying to take this class because you need to and you do care about it then take another teacher.

I took Colombo last semester, and I think he is VERY FAIR! He gives so many tools to use and this is what helped me!! I only used my text book to reference his notes. His notes whick are available to us, are exactly whats on the tests!! People who fail this class should NOT go into the medical feild!

If you do not have a job, a life, or any other classes. . . this is a good class to take. Too bad that isn't the case for most people. He expects you to put in 15 hours a week (outside of lecture). his "comparisons" to real life... didn't connect AT ALL! (which confused you even more)

Fabulous professor. Very conscientious and generous with the amount of time he gives students. I wish more teachers would be as passionate about their subjects and as giving to their students as this man is. I miss you Dr. Colombo!

The professor challenges you beyond any professor I've yet to take. He's extremely qualified to teach this course, and the student gets out of the course only what he or she puts in. It is definetely great preperation for higher level courses, and if you fail this course, your just simply not a very good student, so don't major in anything hard!

Dr. C. has a very high standard of achievement. Lazy students looking for an easy class should register for ceramics. Serious, driven students ready for a challenge will thrive and LEARN. Everything he tests on is in his notes and lectures. I had him for A&P I and II, and i got As in both. Challenge yourself and go for it!

Very Hard Class. You have to study at least 2 hours a day 7 days a week to even get a C. He will help you and meet after/before class for clarity. I learned a lot but will not be taking him again.

I just finishing taking him Summer A. I didn't really need to take AP for my major but did anyway. It was really hard but if you need to take it, you will get a lot more out of his course than some of the other profs. Be prepared to work hard, study a lot and you will pass! If you don't need to take this class, take something else!!

Dr. C. is an awesome teacher! LOVE him! Took an online course and totally understood everything. You have to study, but what else are you in school for? Not an easy A, but you can achieve is you study and pay attention to his details and directions. Plan on taking him for AP II

Out of all of the professors I've had, DrC is most helpful. His material is hard, and you have to WANT to work for an A. But he is an excellent help and answers all of my questions in a timely manner. If you want to really learn A&P in depth, take his class. You'll come out more prepared to be a nurse or any other medical professional.

He's a great teacher and a good guy overall. When I read the comments on here i thought oh these people didnt study, I'll do fine! Nope, not the case! You will have to memorize his study guide WORD for WORD if you want to pass, I study atleast 5 hours 4 days/week. not to mention 4 ppl in my class have failed the 1st time and are taking him again!!

Took Dr. C for API also...excellent teacher that puts in-depth knowledge of the body on your level. You will have to study to pass but why else are you in school for? Looking for an easy A, he is not your man. Highly recommend him for anyone going into medical field. Totally love this guy!

He is a wonderful professor! I am currenly in his anatomy class and am about to take his third test! It is easy to get an A. memorize his handbook. You do have to be a serious student! If memorizing 2 chapters almost word for work is too hard, another teacher is better. He is a nice guy an an ok professor. I think he is worth it just to see how good of a student you are :)!

He has a great sense of humor. If you study hard and listen to his lectures you will be fine, and you can get an A. He is very knowledgeable, and you will learn a lot from him, but you have to sudy. This is not a easy classs per se.

Academic role model. All profs should emulate him. He is the best.

The obvious...class is hard, study a lot. The not so obvious (and kind of creepy), Dr. C rating himself. Check it out, 1 or 2 ratings every couple of months or so. It's clearly him with only things he'd say. Repetitive "Hot"s "failure"s! The result, inflated ratings - Proceed with cation :)

THE CLASS IS HARD, BUT IT IS WORTH IT IF YOU REALLY NEED TO HAVE THE BASIC CONCEPT ABOUT ANATOMY...JUST MAKE SURE TO UNDERSTAND HIS STUDY GUIDE. AND DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE TO STUDY SINCE THE MATERIAL IS VERY EXTENSIVE. A STUDY GROUP HELPS A LOT . LOVED THE CLASS IM GONNA TAKE HIM FOR A&P 2

I took his Anatomy 1 Class. He is a great Professor!! He explains difficult concepts really well and uses real world examples. His tests are always curved too.
