The best prof I've had - hands down. Very knowledgable, patient and also caring. Plus he helped me with my resume and interviews, and I ended up getting a job because of that. Too bad he doesn't teach other courses. Totally recommend.

Really wonderful professor. A family matter saw my GPA suffer, but he continued to encourage me and believed in me even when I myself had doubts. I got the highest mark in college from him, and he wrote a very strong recommendation letter, which helped me get into an MBA program. Take his course - it'll make you a better PM manager and person.

The single most interesting course I've taken thus far. So glad I listened to my friends. The previous PM course was very theoretical - the advanced is very hands-on and I learnt how to build a budget and how to build a proper plan. He makes the lectures really interesting and engaging. As part of the course, we had a group project to do - no one before him had taken the time to give us feedback on the work prior to the work being completed, or to guide us to score a high grade on it. He kept saying "everything you do, do it well and take pride in it. If you don't take pride, don't do it".

Costin's an awesome prof. Every class he showed us a video and he challenged us to think and to reflect on the lessons. I learnt more from his class than from all the other 2 years of courses.

Overall a very good prof. You go to class. Watch an inspirational video. Discuss the video. Talk about project management. Do a project. Class is done. Easily marker. But may put you on the spot. One of those profs that like class discussion and wants his students to participate. I would 100% take him again... and he's looks are a bonus

He was a great prof. We had an 8am class, but he started classes at 9am sharp (he will lock the doors.) I had a mid-term and exam that were basically the same content. NO TEXTBOOKS cause he gives you a 30 page test/exam review with all the information needed. A very kind, professional and punctual person. Easy marker if you follow given criteria.

DON'T BE LATE EVER! he will remember you for that! He likes discussions in class, so talk. Classes barely look like a class, tests are not very clear in the beginning but were super easy. He is very methodical and detail-oriented, so don't be shy when writing assignments ans tests. I've passed with a 100% which never happened before. Great prof

This guy is amazing, the only 8 am class i can attend and not feel bored and exhausted. Sometimes he starts the class with Cesarius Evora to get the day going, He even starts the class at 9 am sometimes to give you an extra hour of sleep, Super kind but don't be late or else you'll face the consequences of public humiliation

Of all the profs I had this semester, Prof. Laurentiu was the only one who knew me by my name. And when I had to miss a couple of classes, he sent me an email to see how my recovery was going. Lectures are very fun and just don't be late to his classes. If you do all the work, you're in for a good mark.

Costin is by far the coolest prof I've had. He often ties the lecture material into current papers and directions project management is taking and obviously wants us to know how to apply the knowledge. He is very easy to talk to and beyond fair. I honestly couldn't ask for more from a professor.

Very helpful professor. He will help you any way he can. I always got a quick reply when emailing him. The assignments he gives take no more than a couple of hours of study time. He will take your best assignments to benefit your grade. Also points come from participation! So attend class!! And don't be late!!!!!

Amazing Professor!!! I learned so much from this class, all useful and I managed to get a job based on the advice he gave me. He sat me down and gave me another chance to improve my grade, and with this, he helped me a lot.

I'm new to Canada, so I did not participate in class conversations. Prof. Laurentiu booked a meeting with me and explained that class contribution matters and that he is interested to hear what I think because he wants to know my opinion. No professor ever asked me that before. I loved his class and how he gave me confidence.

Taking his class I realized how what I learnt in the past applies to real life. He taught us a lot of practical things; how to build a budget and how to evaluate one; how to build a project plan and evaluate someone else's plan and how to build a risk assessment form. He had us send him weekly dashboards in the group project, which helped a lot.

Really interesting videos - one guy built a business, another woman was writing books, another one was conducting an orchestra and he explained how project management helps you do these. Great lectures Don't be late. If you're late to his class, let him know before, otherwise you lose marks.

Probably the best prof I had! He made fall in love with business and choose a PM career. Very engaging and challenges your thinking. Would take another business class solely to have him again as a prof.

Really knowledgeable in almost everything related to PM, it's really impressive. As a result, when you ask him questions, he can give really cool examples. Some find him intimidating, but he's actually very nice and approachable and passionate, and very easy to learn from because he speaks so clearly and answers questions well.

This proffs enthusiasm for the material really spreads. The course was hybrid but he offered to have lectures in class if we wanted - so most of us said yes instead of online sessions. The lectures were uber interesting and lots of fun. The best class Ive taken in the program. Highly recommend

At first I imagined the course would be just fluff. But boy, was I wrong. Super fun class and very practical. Costin helped us build our LinkedIn profiles and his assignment was to interview a PM we didn't know and write about that. And he organized a class trip to a conference to test our networking skills. Proff Costin was the first person I met (and first class I took) at GBC. He is an intellectual, kind, and caring guy who truly cares about every student. I remember Costin as being very different from my other professors. For starters, DO NOT EVER BE LATE TO HIS CLASS. He will lock (and call) you out. He is also very passionate and knowledgeable which makes the atmosphere in his classroom very unique. Study the booklet he gives out before the midterm/exam. Tests are hard, but he is a lenient marker.

Overall, I really enjoyed my Project management class with Professor Costin. He kept the class motivated and inspiring with many simple everyday life events. We also applied these events into practice while we learned basic project management concepts. I also enjoyed the TED talk videos and music, keeps everyone awake for 8am classes.

I found every class incredibly valuable. The pace at which Costin taught was fast and demanding, which I appreciated. In particular, I liked that he illustrated PM concepts through a variety of case studies, the choice of which was particularly useful. Having taken the intro to PM and liked it, I expected the advanced PM tools to be about ... well, online tools. while some of the material was familiar, prof. Laurentiu was so much more awesome in person and such a great teacher, who really prepared me for some of the more difficult PM concepts. i recommend very highly

Of all my first year courses, this was by far the best. Very engaging, professor Laurentiu gave us very hands-on tools to setup a project and also function. The class is not easy, so you have to study hard and make sure you understand the concepts. But it is worth it and I am very glad I took the course.

The classes were online due to COVID. The course is not easy, but Prof. Costin made sure to explain the concepts clearly, to illustrate with lots of examples (his background in Banking helped a lot) and to make sure everyone understood. I thought I would struggle in Finance but the lectures were surprisingly easy to follow. Exams were case-based.

Professor Laurentiu is passionate, kind, thorough, caring, and very knowledgeable. Though not everybody participates in class discussions, Professor Laurentiu is always engaging and looking for ways to make class more interesting and suitable to the students. Exams were long but fair.

Prof. Costin is truly one of the best. Smart, enlightening, personable, and extremely helpful are just a few of the many qualities that make him an amazing prof & person. In addition to sharing his own experiences, he is very open to student insights and perspectives, which made this course rich in insight and very rewarding for me personally.

Prof. Laurentiu is probably the best professor at GBC. He is amazing at guiding class discussions. He is so kind and approachable. He makes you think and really expand your point of view without actually assigning that much work. I love how he draws on real life examples to illustrate the textbook concepts. Can't speak highly enough of him.

Prof. Laurentiu was truly a transformative teacher for me. What really set him apart from others was connecting the material to the real world and illustrating how finance can become a competitive advantage for a company. Love Proff Costin. He is one of the few professors that I have great respect for. He goes through the lectures and then provides examples and also case studies. They made so much more sense than the theory. Overall I recommend this teacher because he teaches you how to think and also because he actually cares about his students.

BEST PROFESSOR YOU WILL EVER HAVE! His classes are genuinely enjoyable and inspiring. He makes sense of the world from generally business and specifically finance perspectives. And has a great gift to explain how the various classes in the business program are relevant. If you do all the work and readings you should do very well in this course.

Professor Laurentiu is the most engaging and inspirational professor at GBC. If you are in the business program, TAKE HIS CLASSES. No other professor brings the content alive like he does. He is down to earth. Took both PM courses he teaches. Classes are always interesting, assignments are easy if you pay attention in class. Participation matters.

Professor Laurentiu is my favourite GBC Professor. His class was the best I ever took. He cares very much for his students and their success in life. Every class was interesting, especially about PM applied to the business world. The exam material had no surprises. I wish I could take it again!

Prof. Costin is not only extremely knowledgeable and qualified, but also has a passion for the material he teaches. He is extremely engaging, approachable, and informative. Beyond all, his ability to help students academically and professionally surpasses any teacher I have ever had. Assignments are straight-forward and exam is very reasonable.

I'm in my 5th semester and took IB only now. Costin is still my favourite professor of all the courses I've taken. Cares alot about students. We spent class talking about company expansions, Brexit, regulations, the Middle East and more. You literally could not pick a more interesting subject matter or a better Professor to teach it. He's the best!

Such a fun course. I was not interested in project managment but the course was mandatory and it was definitely one of the best experiences I had in my first semester. The exams were challenging but the group project was super fun. Participation is very important.
