she's really good! i loved her class! she explains everything very slowly and clearly which is sometimes boring if you know what's going on but nice if you don't understand something. minimal homework and just have someone sign you in and you'll be fine
She is really nice and a good teacher. The quizzes are easy but you do need to study for the tests. She gives good notes and goes slowly so sometimes it's easy to fall asleep. But I would definitely recommend her class!
Dont take it! She sucks at teaching, she makes a lot of errors on just about everything you study/take, she's boring as all hell, attendance required, when you get a test back she doesn't tell you what you did wrong but takes off points. It is horrible, trust me run away!
She is a new teacher and it shows. Do not take this class. The homework is online via Wiley Plus and it is impossible. Attendence is mandatory. Horrible Test, Horrible Homework, Just run away
SHE IS TERRIBLE. most boring class ever, grades homework/tests very harshly. attendance mandatory. I wanted to kill myself the entire time. Tries to make it funny but fails and just makes you want to kill yourself. DO NOT TAKE
She's not easy, but she's alot better then other professors I've heard about on campus. Buy the book- i taught myself with it, because her teaching style doesnt work for everyone. Study the study guides she makes - but expect the problems on the test to be a lot harder then the ones on there!
AVOID IF POSSIBLE! Quizzes are easy, grades too harshly on homework and test. Takes off points for things that aren't that important even in homework. Exams are harder than any review or examples she gives. Have to do all problems exactly like she does or no credit for it. Teaching style is very confusing (tries to prove every problem). Don't take.
Do not take this class. This is not a joke this might be one of the worst math teachers i've ever had. She doesn't really even teach all she does is right notes down and has you copy them. The only real way to succeed in this class is by teaching yourself through the book and internet sources and attending si on some weekdays.
This teacher SUCKS. She does not teach, all she does is do examples on the board all class. If you take her class you are going to need to teach yourself the material. She is extremely boring and the homework is extremely hard, and not related to the exams given. DO NOT TAKE!
Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible teacher. She's boring and annoying, she tries to be funny but she's not and just sucks at teaching in general. She's young and it shows that she has zero experience. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS
Pretty awesome teacher. A bit goofy at times, but answers the questions needed. Rights all notes on the board as she goes through them. Excellent Calc 1 course!
Terrible teacher
She really isn't as terrible as everyone is making her to seem. She is nice and she is a little goofy but does that really matter? She does do examples but she also teaches as well. She responds quickly to emails and seems excited for you to learn the material. I would recommend taking her. She's better than having a professor you can't understand.
She is very smart but can't communicate what she's teaching. After I took notes I didn't even understand them because she moves so fast. The examples are exactly out of the book (which you don't even need just get the CD) Don't take her. Shes not a good teacher.
All of her quizzes come from example questions in notes and are easy if you remember to look over your notes. Tests are fair and are very similar to study guide just worded differently. She is nice and is willing to work with you. Some people were frustrated with her teaching style but if you pay attention and take notes you'll be fine.
She seems to be a really smart person; however, she can not teach it to the students. If you ask a question (which are hard to get in since she moves so quickly) she can't really explain it to you and just keeps repeating herself the one way. Her notes are not helpful at all, straight from the book. I don't recommend taking her.
The material is hard. You really have to study to do well. She is an ok teacher, but she expects students to know as much about calculus as she does. She seems more into the material itself than actually teaching it. Go to class. Go to SI's. Do all the maple work, (which sucks), and you should be fine.
Not a big fan... tests are hard and she grades harshly. Class is unbearably boring and attendance is required. Homework is ridiculous and every aspect of this class is hard. Avoid this class
I hate Math, but this class was one of my favorite Math classes ever!! She LOVES math and sometimes her passion can be slightly overwhelming, but explained concepts in a understandable way!! Homework is very helpful, and tests are straight from homework and quizzes!!
She moves extremely quick. Her class is good and you will learn but she talks rapidly and you write the entire class. There is no time to rest and take a breath. Take this class if and only if you are prepared to study and write constantly during class.
Anyone who complains about her is lazy. Class is not hard and she teaches it well. I recommend going to the SI sessions which are very chill and guarantee you will get a high A on hw and quizzes. Tests are very fair
She is a great teacher! pay attention and go to class. She is more that willing to help. there are weekly quizzes which are easy if you do the homework and she gives a big test review before every test. She's awesome. I never used the textbook though
She is a harsh grader, and not very clear on what she wants sometimes. She uses a translator aka the SI teacher. If you want an A or high B go to SI sessions.
The math was literally stuff I learned in 7th grade, but the way she taught it made it more confusing than it should be. She is harsh grading and I do not recommend taking her.
Sweet professor and wants you to understand the material. Homework is mandatory but it's easy. Quizzes are so easy. There are three tests and a final. The tests were harder than the final and the tests weren't that difficult. Not an exciting class, but I don't think it needs to be exciting, I just care about my grade and it was easy to get an A.
She's perfectly nice but thinks her jokes are really funny. Sends an attendance sheet around. Very willing to help. Goes fast with notes and uses every minute of class time. Her organization with the notes is confusing. GO to the SI sessions. You do the hw together and get 100s & then get the concepts for the following monday's quiz.
This class is pretty boring but also very easy, however I had taken calculus before. The professor is eager to help students, but if you write down all the notes and study them, you shouldn't need much help. She also gives many opportunities to earn points and review the material.
She really wants her students to understand the material. She may make corny jokes, but I prefer that over a dry, boring math class. She is very approachable and was very helpful when I attended her office hours. I would take her again for sure.
She is really sweet and willing to help her students. However, she moves extremely quickly through the course material. She is extremely picky with how she grades stuff and does not offer any extra credit. The si sessions are very helpful. I struggled with this class.
She was awesome. She was always available for one on one help if you needed it. She is picky when it comes to taking off points from tests but overall she is so helpful and wants you to do good. I would deff recommend taking her!!
She makes this class more difficult than it should be. Attendance mandatory, quizzes once a week and homework once a week for a grade. She's a harsh grader. Really is willing to help the students, but her class is really boring and she's annoying. Not the worst professor- but I wouldn't recommend her.
Baber is a good teacher overall. The homework and quizzes are similar problems to what will be on the test. The notes are very detailed and help in the understanding of the material. She offers lots of resources for help. Going to SI helps, I would take her again because compared to all of the other math teachers, Baber is great
Such a great professor! I've taken the AP version of this course and didn't really understand the material but she really made me understand it. She's completely available to help you when you need it. Her tests are not hard at all but she's a picky grader and offers no extra credit and doesn't curve. I would totally recommend her as a professor
Professor Baber was GREAT. She is extremely helpful and nice if you just go to her office hours. She gives detailed notes alone with a quiz and homework once a week. The practice tests help. I didn't use the book for extra problems so I'd say you don't really NEED the book unless you need extra practice.
She is hard to understand and her class is the worst
She takes off a lot of unnecessary points on tests and quizzes. Also goes through the material very quickly, but is willing to go back over it with you individually. I would not recommend this teacher if you're not a math person.
She's super easy if you have taken a really good pre calc course in high school; Only downside to that is her class is super boring because the material is so easy and its easy to fall asleep to her class. DON'T SIT IN THE BACK IF YOU WANT TO PAY ATTENTION
Mrs. Baber really wants you to succeed in her class, but it's hard to keep up with all of the information covered. She's very patient so don't be afraid to ask questions. Try to sit near the front.
Baber is a good teacher if you have taken Calculus prior to her class. If you haven't, then the class can be rough. Do not buy the book and go to the SI sessions to get the homework answers! She dings off for random things on tests, but you really just have to work around it. She's nice and helpful, but if you can find a better professor, do it.
Great professor. She explains things really well and with plenty of examples. Her tests are really easy and straight from what she goes over in class. She doesn't give extra credit but she drops a test. I would absolutely recommend her.
You don't need to buy the textbook. Class is very straightforward. The test are from the material she goes over in class & she gives plenty of examples.
She is a very good teacher teaching a relatively hard class. If you go to class and take notes there is no reason you cannot do well. She is very open to helping individuals and gives study guides and hw problems that are very similar to that on the test.
Baber is a pretty straight forward teacher. If you're good at math, you'll be fine. One homework assignment per week and one quiz per week. You have 3 tests and a final and your lowest test grade gets dropped.
Easy and boring class, especially if you took calculus and high school. 1 quiz and hw/ week. She's pretty good at explaining, but is very strict about grading (will take of points for everything). never used the book
Professor Babe wasn't half bad. She explains material well and gives plenty of examples. I think her class has the easiest homework, just one worksheet per week with a couple of problems and one quiz a week. Go to SI sessions for homework answers and office hours if you ever need help. If you want an easy math class, take Baber.
DO NOT take Business Calc with Professor Baber if math is not your thing. I passed with B's in high school, and an A in college algebra, but am failing this class. The tests are far harder than the homework's and the example problems in class. She grades harsh and will take point off for incorrect work, even if the answer is right.
You can miss up to 4 classes a semester, which isn't bad and i did find that you need to go to class to learn the material. That being said, this teacher is dull and NOT helpful to students. The class is straightforward, but if you haven't taken calc before you WILL get confused. easily. Beware - she takes points off for stupid reasons on tests!!
Ms. Baber's class is horrible. She's really annoying to listen to and her examples are so basic, they don't at all prepare you for her tests. Her tests are really hard and she is the harshest grader. I have NEVER failed a class before, but I failed hers! Avoid if you can!
She grades hard on homework and will take off points for little things but her tests are easy. Never use the textbook which makes homework easier to do and quizzes are only 2 easy questions. I highly recommend this class. A little studying is necessary and she will answer any questions you have.
She is a very harsh grader and will take off for the littlest things, but the quizzes and homework will help you keep your grade up. SI was more helpful than her office hours and her exam was extremely easy as long as you studied a little.
I loved this professor. I thought she explained things very clearly and was always helpful when you ask questions during or after class. Weekly quizzes and homework which in my case would just boost my grade.
Ms. Baber is the most particular professor I've ever had. You have to show work EXACTLY the way she teaches in class. Paper hw assignment due every Wednesday. Quiz Thursday. If you don't understand what Baber thinks is simple, she treats you like you're an idiot so no one wants to ask for help. The SI, Kristy, is awesome and is saving my grade.
Great teacher. Yes she is particular in what she wants, but she tells you that in her notes or when she grades your HW. Very clear notes. You can ask questions on the HW during the week she gives you to do it. Get the book for extra practice. I used it a lot to prepare for the first test & then not at all.made a 96, didn't have to take the Final!
Baber is not an easy teacher but she is very precise in what she wants. If you make sure you thoroughly understand the homework and the quizzes, and do the study guides before the tests, there in no reason not to do well in the class. If you have above a 95 average you exempt the final.
Worst math class I've ever had. She finds a way to take off points even if you have the correct answer. Do not take her.
She'll find a way to take off points sometimes for your work even if you have the right answer but her tests are EXACTLY like the practice exams. DO THEM. Final can also replace lowest test grade if it helps your final grade. Class is pretty tough but if you go to class, you'll get a good grade
Don't take this class if you actually want to learn. Doesn't teach and will take points off for everything. First C of my life in this class.
She takes points off for just about anything she can find... very picky. She's a really nice lady though
Prof. Baber is a really kind, friendly person, but this does not translate to her teaching style. She rushes through lectures, doesn't explain much, and makes an already difficult class even harder to grasp.
Not recommended. She takes off points for every problem unless it is exactly the way she wants it, even if the answer is correct. She's nice enough but class is incredibly dry. Attendance mandatory. Avoid taking her.523
Extremely repetitive and roundabout way of teaching. She takes off a lot of points on homework and test for notation error even if the answer and work is right.
Baber is a great teacher. She gives so many opportunities to learn and practice the material. I would reccomend taking her over any one else hands down! So helpful and nice , very willing to meet with you if you have any questions. Great teacher!
Tough grader. She takes points off for the smallest things. I didnt mind this class though it wasnt hard for me. Actually try on the homework, study for quizes and tests, do the suggested problems they are really usefull go to SI if you are confused and take notes! she really knows what she is teaching and when you pay attention its not bad
She is really easy to talk to if you go to her office hours. SI is a life saver and her class is no problem if you go to SI and look over your homework and quizzes before tests. The final can replace your lowest of your 3 tests grades. Never used the book. Don't buy it.
Tough but fair. Clearly explains things and is there if you need her.
Explains things very slowly with multiple examples. Textbook is not mandatory, but she posts solutions to practice problems from it. She takes off partial credit for very small things, so be meticulous! Homework due every Friday and a quiz over that information every Monday. Tests are difficult, but she exempts from the final with a 95 or above.
She is very clear in what you need to know, but she is very picky about how she wants work shown. I wish she taught other classes and I am very glad that I had her as a teacher.
Her lectures are basically verbatim from the book so unless reading the book is the way you learn you will have to invest a large amount of time with outside resources to get through the material. She grades ridiculously hard im honestly surprised she passed me and that anyone else manages to pass. The answer for any problem is only worth 110pnts.
She is extremely picky with how she grades and takes off points on your quiz's, tests, and homework if you don't do it exactly how she wants it even if you got it right. Nice lady bad teacher
Is really picky on grading your quizzes, homework, and tests. She goes through everything in class and offers office hours and an SI. You get out what you put into it.
Ms. Baber seems like a sweet lady but her grading is ridiculous. She gives partial credit but thats because she nit-picks on every single thing you write down. I will be taking the course again with a different professor next semester. Stay away unless you can read her mind for every answer on homework, quizzes and the tests.
Good teacher, but a hard grader for everything you write on the test. Gives plenty of options to get help such as office hours, SI times, Finals Frenzy, and will help anytime you need it. Lovely person I would take her again just be watchful with what you write.
Let me start off by saying that Ms. Baber is the sweetest. She has office hours all the time and really helps you during those, I've heard. However, her teaching style just didn't fit with my need for clarification and a view of the bigger picture. Lectures are very long; the sheer amount of details thrown at you can bog someone like me way down.
Mrs. Baber is an incredible teacher. I have always been awful at math until now. She is clear and concise. She is also a very nice person and willing to help at all times. The class isn't easy but if you study and take notes its not bad. Also she gives partial credit so that makes things easier.
Ms. Baber is a great at helping and answering questions. The best part of her class is that you have TONS of grades (a homework sheet and a quiz weekly) but this also makes the workload insane. She gave great review guides before tests and made sure to go over them. She was very approachable and easy to get along with. I'd take her again if needed.
Baber was great. She gives weekly homework and quizzes and the problems are just like the notes in class. Would definitely take again
She is nice, but she is a tough grader. Beware of the "partial credit". It doesn't help much because she takes off a lot for small mistakes. By the way, don't worry about purchasing a textbook for this class. The class notes are all that you need. I did not open the book once.
Baber is very nice and has 3 days of office hours a week, so if you need help she's there. She grades really picky though and doesn't do enough examples to cover material in my opinion. She's a pretty good teacher though, just definitely go to SI/office hours if you don't understand the material.
Professor Baber tries her best to help understand the material. She goes through so many examples of each topic and it really does help out on tests. Her tests are a bit hard, but if you do the study guide and pay attention you should do fine.
Fair grader but can be a tough class. Make sure you go to class and ask questions.
Ms. Baber was an excellent professor. She was clear about her expectations for the class. Each week was structured, with weekly homework assignments and quizzes. She moves at a very regular pace, and slows down certain material that is more difficult. I would definitely recommend taking Ms. Baber's class.
As long as you go to class and complete homework assignments and the study guides, you will get an A. Not a hard teacher.
Do the homework, take detailed notes, study for every test. Exam is just like the tests given throughout the semester.
Ms. Baber is an okay teacher. She has a certain way she wants you to work out problems and if you don't you will not get full credit. She can be a little corny at times but she isn't mean. She lacks a bit of personality. She doesn't give extra credit. Always do the homework because it boosts your grade. Drops the lowest quiz grade.
Math 141 would likely have been rough for me regardless of which professor I had. Ms. Baber makes lectures somewhat interesting with her dry sense of humor and the format of the class is set up clearly from the beginning. While she may not seem like the friendliest person in the world, she will help you if you ask her.
She's quite finicky when it comes to explanations and the use of parentheses but other than that she's one of the best math professors I've had. Calc 122 is very difficult but she broke down every section and made it much more easy to understand. I would definitely recommend taking her if you can.
Either her way or it's wrong, grades like a day of learning is enough for 3 chapters. She is inconsiderate. Attempts to relate. Homework comes back the day you take the quiz, solutions to homework are available AFTER the quiz. If you don't have enough of the notes, you will not be able to study.
Prof. Baber always made math seem understandable. I enjoyed going to her class and learning new stuff. She applied the new concepts to the ones we had learned earlier and who doesn't a love a teacher who pulls corny jokes? Would highly recommend.
Professor Baber explains the material very well and is always there to help if you have questions. My only criticism is that she grades the homework very hard, but this can be forgiven because the quizzes are almost identical to the homework which she gives the solutions for. This is the same for the study guides for the tests. Also, lots of notes.
She's great but this class was hard and you definitely need to study and attend class. If you miss even one day of class you will be way behind. Homeworks are on Web-Assign and you have quizzes every Mondays. She will try and help you but her explanations aren't always so clear.
Highly recommend Baber for MATH 122. Very organized teacher and explains everything well. Only negative side is that her grading is very tough and it's hard to make a 100 on anything, even homework. She's always around for extra help outside or after class.
Baber is a good teacher in the sense that she explains everything really well. However, she is such a hard grader it's like she doesn't ever want to give a 100. It's not a ton of work but you need to spend time on your own working through the problems in order to expect an A. I would recommend her only if you are strong in math coming in.
She is very organized and all her notes are structured. There are never surprises she always tells you what's going on. It started off easy but got really hard towards the end. I was making an A but by the last week dropped and ended with a B because the final was so hard. If you're not quick with math then you really need to study.
After traumatizing experience in high school calculus, Prof. Baber is a breath of fresh air. She explains everything so thoroughly, the homework and quizzes are almost exactly like the notes, you have to try to fail this class.
Ms. Baber is a great professor; very mellow, makes the class light through cheesy humor and will help you outside of class. The class itself however is tough and Ms. Baber is a picky grader so make sure on homework you show all work and its accurate. Tests are decently difficult since she is a hard grader but if you show effort you will pass.
I am historically bad at math and was terrified for calculus, but Prof Baber makes it very manageable. Her lectures are clear and concise and thus she expects your work to be clear and concise (be careful of making small mistakes). There are lots of resources, use them! Weekly homework and quizzes can help your grade if you study and GO TO CLASS.
Ms. Baber is a great professor. Take advantage of her office hours!! She grades the homework so it is nice to get her to help you during office hours so you are on the right track She is a very tough grader. She seems intimidating, but she is a very nice person and easy to talk to. Would recommend if you don't mind work.
Her lectures make the material seem easy bc her examples are easy but it just gets harder on the hw, quizzes and tests. She will also take off points for the littlest things, I got 2 points off for "over-explaining" my correct answer. Replaces your lowest test with the final if its higher but dont count on that because the final is extremely hard.
This class is kind of weird, but Baber is a really good teacher. As long as you do the homework and practice problems, you'll get a good grade. I recommend going to office hours, as she offers a lot more one-on-one help
Ms. Baber is great, but she's a tough grader. This class is entirely designed to make you think in different ways. I recommend having some knowledge of data structures. The proofs were one of the most difficult part of the class; use office hours if you don't understand them. I probably would have made a better grade if I went to office hours more.
Prof. Baber is a very tough grader. The proofs are very difficult to understand and she does not explain things very clearly. I put a lot of effort into this class and barely received a C+. Tests account for 51% of your grade and the final is 25% of your overall grade. If you do poorly on the tests you're basically screwed. BEWARE!!
Ms. Baber is a great professor! The homework is difficult, but the quizzes are based off the homework material and the quiz average can balance out your homework average. Tests are worth 45% and the final 25%, and the final can replace your lowest test. Even if you are bad at math (like me), there is hope if you study and go to office hours!
Prof. Baber is amazing. She explains things very well and makes the material easy to understand. She gives homework as well as quizzes which are similar to the homework. The tests are similar to the study guide so make sure to do those. Study in groups because it will help! She's very helpful and wants all of her students to do well.
BEST PROFESSOR FOR CALCULUS 1
Picky grader, takes attendance, tests count 51% of the grade. Homework mostly weekly but not that bad. Lecture is just writing notes on doc cam without much explanation and it goes pretty slow. Material isnt terribly difficult but will take a bit of studying to understand the weird way on explaining it. Online textbook at least.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She is a nice woman but absolutely awful teacher. I took this class in high school and everything I learned is apparently wrong. If you do anything a different way, she subtracts a random amount of points. My friend and I have the same answers on a hw and the points taken off are always different. goes very fast and is wrong
Very nice but she is a tough grader who doesn't explain well. We will write an entire page of notes, for one problem. Instead of writing pages of notes, we should just do the homework practice problems and actually do math, rather than cramping our hand by practically making us write a full page paper each class...
Prof. Baber is a nice woman but she wants you to do problems exactly the way she teaches you to do them. She will often take off a lot of points within a problem for small errors even if you got the right answer. Lectures are long and boring and you will often take 4-5 pages of notes in one class. Uses examples but uses formal math language often
Baber takes off points for everything. Everything. Absolutely everything. It does not matter if you got the correct answer in your calculation. If you do not do everything EXACTLY as SHE taught it to you, then you get NO credit. I would never take this professor again. Ever.
Mrs. Baber is great! She really takes the time to get to know her class and certainly cares about whether you understand the material. Shes very organized and good at explaining tough concepts. Shes also very willing to answer questions and has tons of office hour opportunities.
Is flexible with office hours and is helpful, but her stubbornness seriously effects her teaching style and grading on tests. Not unusual to get a problem right but get marked half off because you didnt use her preferred method, which can make the class unnecessarily difficult and irritating
If you struggle with math like I do I strongly recommend taking Professor Baber's class. She really eases you into difficult concepts which makes it easier to understand. The quizzes, homework, and test problems are usually similar to the ones from lecture which also helps a lot. And she's the type of professor that seems to care about her students
Professor Baber is the best math teacher you can get when it comes to Math 122. She goes slow enough in the class so that everyone can understand, and does lots of examples to help. Has flexible office hours and loves answering questions. She really cares about her students success. Wish I could take her for every math class!
Really great professor. Really wants you to understand the material. Notes are taken by hand but she writes them out with you so you dont feel rushed. Gives a lot of examples. You dont need the textbook or an access code but she does give suggested problems from the textbook. Weekly homework and quizzes, but homework is only front and back page
Your homework is the quiz pretty much. Take advantage of the math si, I went and she really helped. Before each test she gives out a huge math review packet, if you know how to do that you will do great on the test. Her grading is very picky, have to do every step right. The class itself is boring but she tries to make it fun sometimes.
Ms. Baber is one of the BEST calc profs you can take. She explains the problems with you as you go. DO THE HOMEWORK b/c your quizzes are just like it as well as the test review. SI is very helpful so go to those sessions. The only thing is she gets really picky if any of the work shown is wrong. TAKE HER CLASS THOUGH she's the easiest for calc
One of the harder MATH122 professors. Avoid if you can. Very strict grader and gives quizzes every single week for the entire semester. You need to go to class or you will not pass the class. She takes attendance manually and her notes are so extensive that it is hard to catch up if you miss.
Baber was a great math professor. Calculus is a real hard subject to learn, so she definitely tries to make it easier for her students. The only thing that bothered me was how strictly she graded our quizzes, tests, and homework. Don't bother getting the textbook, all handouts and homework are from her.
Absolutely hate her, she is mean. Skip class you wont pass, if you don't do it the way she teaches you will get points off. Not willing to make accommodations if you need an extra absence. Overall do not have her as a teacher!!!!!
Baber is a really good choice. She takes notes with you step by step and is always willing to help if you go to her office hours. She can be super picky with grading but is nice about giving partial credit. You don't have to buy anything for her class unless you do the suggested problems. If you have a 95 or above you're exempt from the final.
She is a very nice teacher, but grades very harshly. You can have the right answer but get no credit because she expects you to show every detail of your work and to do it her way. The way she grades makes no sense and she gives random amounts of partial credit for work which can vary by person. There are better teachers!!
Shes very picking about how you write out your math problems. Pay attention to what shes looking for and make sure to follow it even though it can be tedious. Shes very knowledgeable and down to Earth. Pay attention and write out your math like she wants. Read your notes, and you should easily pass the class. she makes you work for sure, go to si
must show up to pass. lots of hw and quizzes. SUCH a hard grader. she goes through examples but its much different on hw and u dont get the hw back before you have quizzes so its hard to study. not very helpful in office hrs. if you study and go to SI sessions u should be able to pass but if you have never taken a calc class before its gonna suck
There's weekly hw and quizzes that she grades very hard. She goes through example problems in notes but you must answer in her liking. Go to office hours and ask her to check over your answers. Not that bad of a class. She's a nice person, just grades very precisely.
Ms. Baber is super sweet and helpful! I went to her office hours, and she would write out problems on the board for us to go through together. Weekly homework and quizzes. Also, the homework is on paper which I like. She likes things to be clear on tests and quizzes, but she does give partial credit which is great. I recommend taking her!
Very lengthy notes, doesnt give enough examples in notes to help you do the homework.
It is very hard for me to put together words that would accurately describe how much of a living hell this class was. Takes notes every single class from start to finish, but this isn't the issue. The issue is that she will work one example for the entirety of the class which does not apply to tests or quizzes. Also accuses students of cheating.
She only assigned one homework sheet per week which didn't take long all, notes were organized, and she was very nice about questions during lectures
Very, very picky grader! Takes attendance every day. Have to print off homework and turn it in. Homework and quiz every week. NO EXTRA CREDIT. Do not recommend at all.
I took this class spring 2019 semester and failed with a different professor but Im taking it with Baber right now and I currently have an A. She gives her homework on paper which makes learning so much easier than the excessive online homework all other Math122 profs give, so no access code fee. Take her if you can, shes so sweet and helpful.
She is excellent! Her lectures are very structured and she gives great examples. Answers questions thoroughly. She is committed to the success of every student and is very personable. Really nice lady and great professor... would definitely take her again!
