Amazing Teacher.Only 2 tests for the semester, and they were both open notebook! One essay. Class extremely easy if you take notes, because you are allowed to use them during tests. I got a A!!!

If you need an easy A, this is it for you. Open note test, ridiculously easy!! That being said, you will need to stick needles in your eyes to stay awake. The most boring professor I have ever had. Copies notes from her paper onto the board, talks and talks and talks, and doesn't look up or make eye contact. Easy A, but EXTREMELY boring!!

Take the notes from the board to use for open book tests! I liked that we didn't have a mid term and final. We had 4 or 5 open note book tests ! Do a good job on 1 paper.I would take her again for sure.

It was a pleasure to be in Courtney's class. She is a great professor. She believes that cramming information is useless, being able to relate will allow you to remember information better so she allows you to use your notes on tests. Follow her guidelines for essays and come to class to take notes and you will get an A.

I took her for Intro and really enjoyed the class. Even though it was an 8 AM class she always seemed genuinely happy to be there. 3 two page papers and 3 open book quizzes. She even offers to look over your notes before the quizzes, so, failing is impossible unless you really make no effort whatsoever. She's very approachable, I'll take her again!

AWESOME TEACHER. Not onl does she make it interesting with movie clips but she writes every single thing you need to know on the board. She is the sweetest thing. Everything is open notebook. 3 papers based on online articles (which she gives you the links to in the syllabus). Don't buy the textbook, I never opened mine. All you have to do is copy what is on the board and you'll be golden. Find someone to copy the notes from if you're absent though, or you'll regret it on the test.

Her test questions come right from her lecture,which she writes EVERYTHING on the board... Essentially, you write down your own cheat sheet. Pay close attention to the things she doesn't write because that's what is most important!

Best professor to take if you want a guarantee pass in a psych class. All tests are open notebook, just have to copy a lot of notes. SOOO EASY. Lets you out of class early 90% of the time.

Her slides are her tests. And her tests are open notes. Her attendance isn't mandatory, and she gives one major paper in which she will work with any questions you have. She does assign one final extra credit assignment. She's amazing. Take her. For anything.

basically the class is consisted of 3 tests and 1 five page paper. you just copy down notes from the slides and you can bring them for the test which is open note. the paper wasnt too bad but i think she is an easy A. there is one extra credit you can do which is 5 points added to your overall average. i would take her again if i could less stress

This is a great intro class, an easy A. All of your notes are prepared in advance, all you have to do is print them, and add in supplemental notes she gives you in class. 3 Quizzes you can bring your notes for, 3 small papers instead of 1 big one, no homework, and a bunch of extra credit opportunities. Professor Brewer is one of my favorites here at SCCC, her class is an easy A if you print out the slides and take notes on them. ALL the tests are open notebook and the questions are very straight forward, however if you miss class and don't get the lecture notes the test may be a little harder (she gives examples or stats that will be on the test)

I had Courtney Brewer for psy 101 and I loved her. She told my class she was teaching child psych and I had to jump on that chance to get her again. She is the best. I loved her. Prof. Brewer is the best. She only gives 3 quizzes that are open note, one 5-7 page research paper, and she also gives you a couple ways to get extra credit that are rather simple. Her lectures are information-heavy, but she pretty much reads off the slides. Definitely a class I would take with her again!

This was my second class with Professor Brewer and Id take her classes again in a heart beat. Brewer is so caring and her lectures are actually super interesting. She gives a few quizzes, but they're all open notes which makes it hard to do poorly. If you get the chance, take this professor.

Two quizzes open notebook (print and use slides) take notes she writes on th blackboard. Quizzes multiple choice 40 question. Final mc 30questions. Extra credit was another essay or sitting in a study session. Very easy A.

Professor brewer is amazing. All of quizzes including final is all open notebook!!! Lots of notes but uses all of them on quizzes. Theres 2 quizzes that are 40 multiple choice and then the Final which is 40 as well. Theres 3 papers all double spaced and 2 pages. The third paper is an extra credit assignment which is +5 points. I took professor Brewer for an online child psych class. We had weekly discussions with quizzes and writing assignments every so often but not too many. The workload was appropriate and if you try you get a good grade. Shes a very honest grader and shes very understand. She always responds to emails and addresses any concerns. Would recommend!!!!

There is a discussion due every Wednesday, and you must reply to another student by Sunday. There are a total of 3 quizzes about 20 questions each the third quiz is the final. There are 2 case studies due as well, but they're straightforward, and you can do a 3rd for extra credit She is super sweet and offers workshops for extra credit if available

Prof Brewer was great. She has clear grading criteria and is very thorough in her lectures. You always know where you stand grade-wise at all times, no surprises. 3 tests and 3 short papers which you can hand in early for corrections. I Took her class online this summer and it was an amazing experience i learned a lot and it was very well balanced for a summer class and you. get plenty of times to write your papers. I highly recommend her 10/10 i passed while being lazy and if i actually tried and study i would have a better grade

I love Professor Brewer! She gives a decent amount of work, but all was fairly easy. There are weekly readings in the textbook that coincide with the discussions as well as quizzes every other chapter, writing assignments, and exams. Shes easily accessible and cares for her students. I am taking her for another psych class, so I recommend her!!

Professor Brewer is good. I took her class in person and she was very nice and makes sure you have what you need in order to excel and pass her class. She is lecture heavy. The class however may not be what you first think of when you think about Psychology unfortunately. My class was not very engaged so as a result the experience was strange.

i had professor brewer for PSY 101 and PSY 215. i took 101 in person and she was awesome! she would lecture powerpoint during class and it was very interesting. there were 3 tests and 2 or 3 papers which she was very lenient grading & an extra credit paper. for 215 online, you need to write a discussion post every week & respond, 5 tests, 2 papers

Prof. Brewer is nice and accommodating. She is happy to answer any Q's you have. She assigns 4 online quizzes with 1 week to do and 2 in-person writing prompts with printed notes allowed. Print the slides! Choose 3 out of 8 prompts. She doesn't use online textbook, but it doesn't hurt to use. Extra credit- 2 pg paper- is given with max 5 pts added.

She truly cares about her students passing and gives everyone a week to do online quiz which is not much either. She also tries to remind people to do their work that they missed and on last day she gave everyone a chance to make up anything they missed. I deff recommend taking her for any class. She is very nice as well.

haven't even finished the class yet but one of the nicest professors I have ever had has a great professional and welcoming attitude when it comes to her classroom can't wait to take her again next semester for lifespan
